Owner Pose
Gabby Kinney Night had set a bit ago, and outside the Booke was parked the little Honda Trail motorcycle that Gabby favored to get around. It wasn't a 'cool' ride by any means, but it was function on and off road. It had more than a few miles on it at this point. With it's presence there it's not hard to guess that the figure moving around inside the dimly lit store was Gabby herself.

There's still a few lights on as she makes the rounds through the store preparing to lock up. Her hand lifts to tuck a few books further back on the shelf, and her head tilts to the side in a tired manner as she barely restrains a yawn. Casualy dressed she didn't look a bit like the Honey Badger she called herself. Instead she's wearing leggings and an oversized 'boyfriend shirt' dress that had the sleeves rolled up past her elbows.

Just as she approaches the door she pauses to glance upward at some of the wards above the door out of habit. They weren't HER spells, but rather Nettie who owned and ran the shop. Still she could recognize them enough to see if they were intact and it had become a habit to do so before locking the door up for the evening.
Robbie Reyes The darkness had long since come.

And honestly, it's been a long time since Robbie had been...anywhere /near/ involved wit hthe JLD. Unlike Gabby's supposedly 'uncool' ride, Robbie's Hellcharger was perhaps one of the coolest rides out there. Johnny Blaze might disagree, but fuck Johnny Blaze.

...don't tell him Robbie said that.

The car roars as it drifts around the corner, slowing down to an aggressive stop as it parks on the side of the road. Getting out of the car, Robbie hasn't changed...at all, really. Maybe a little older. He wore the same jacket, the same style of pants. Same look in his eyes. He looks ahead for a moment to see Gabby.

"Gabby?"
Gabby Kinney It was impossible to miss the Hellcharger or mistake it for another car. Gabby's hand had lingered near the lock hearing the sound of the car and leaning closer to the glass of the door to peer out at the street with an emerging smile. By the time he pulls up, and steps out, she's swung the door open to lean against the doorframe.

"Hey Robbie, it's been awhile." Her head tilts to the side back toward the shop interior with a simple invite of, "Want to come in for a bit? I was about to crash upstairs, but I can make time for an old friend." Okay he wasn't that old... Several months sure, but not that much older than last time she'd run into him. If anything she was the one that had changed in that time frame.

With the offer made her weight shifts back to step clear of the door holding it open for him to invite him inside further.
Robbie Reyes Robbie looks at Gabby, noticing her hand on the lock and the smile that had painted itself on her face. "Hey Gabby." Robbie greets her properly, walking towards the shop and he notices the head tilt to the side in invitation to enter the shop. "Well, appreciate it. Was thinking of crashing on a couch myself, but realized I had forgotten a couple things."

He steps towards the store, nodding to her as he walks past.

"So what've I missed?"
Gabby Kinney "You can always crash here, if you need. There's plenty of space for it," Gabby assures waiting for him to slip past. Only then does she shut the door with the lick clicking shut. Others could still show up but those that had the key were different than random passerbys that might try the door unaware they weren't open.

Her hands dust off on her thighs as she turns back toward Robbie.

"Got a necromancer that's been targeting Nettie's old students. He doesn't just rely on magic though and almost got us last time by exploding the building down ontop of us. Otherwise... You missed the giant demon goose. Be glad that was messy."

With those topics covered she gestures toward the tea area. "Want a drink? It's mostly tea, I can't get Nettie sold on coffee, but we do have a Kuerig in the back. Some of us need more than tea to get moving." After a pause she adds, "No beer though, sorry," with a bit of a teasing grin.

Her expression softens just a bit looking Robbie over. "How're you doing? How's Gabe?"
Robbie Reyes "Appreciate it. Handled a gang the other night. Best that I don't unintentionally lead 'em to Gabe, you know?"

Robbie puts it out clear and simple. He's protecting Gabe. Though it's nice that he's out here anyway mayhaps. "Phoebe been around?" He asks on her behalf, though as he looks at Gabby he smiles at her softly.

"Giant demon goose? What, di the Necromancer bring a dead goose back to life to torment the living? You guys gotta get better bad guys." Robbie shakes his head, chuckling in amusement. "Sure, I'll take a tea. It'll help me sleep." Because relaxation is key!

"Doing okay. Gabe is too. The usual. Keeping him safe and being the Ghost Rider is a full-time gig. How about you specifically? What's new in the world of Gabby?"
Gabby Kinney "I get it. No problem at all. Gabe doesn't need to stress out over that stuff," she agrees knowing full well exactly how he felt about his brother. If anyone could understand loyalty to famil it was her.

She barely restrains a laugh at the very thought of a giant reanimated goose. It was a funny mental image while at the same time, she knew that would not be good. Her head shakes as she steps around the counter to put the electric kettle on, and pick out some chamomile vanilla tea. "Oh god, no. Seperate incidents. Apparently it was some kind of haunted pond and some kids were messing with it... Anyway, goose-splosion." The 'splosion' part is emphasized with her hands lifting to flick her fingers open like miming fireworks.

"I spoke with Phoebe awhile back over in Gotham. She's not part of the JLD. I mean she should be, but she's got some bad memories with the group. From before my time."

The light clink of some tea cups comes as she sets them out staring at them quietly. "Me? I'm... I'm mostly okay," she assures with a glance up toward him and her lips pressed tight together. "I'm seeing a few people. Got a boyfriend, and a girlfriend, and yes they know about each other. We're all kind of together." It's shrugged off as her gaze dips back down to the teacups. The kettle was already whistling to indicate it was ready.

"... I probably should be with them right now. It's not a great time of year for me. Anniversary of my sisters deaths." Her voice grows quiet, a bit distant, and she quickly shrugs it off. "I'm keeping busy."
