Daisy Johnson     It's the typical day out at SHIELD. Clocking in early in the morning, a bevy of mails to sift through while a recruit runs around distributing the coffee mugs out to the various Agents. One is put in front of the young Aaron, the girl in question Shirley all smiles. "Just as you like it, Mr. Aaron."
Shirley continues on her way even if she does toss a look back over to Alex before turning a corner. Had Daisy put the recruit up to this? Was she spying on him? Who knows! Yet any more thought on it is most likely interrupted by the 'beep' of an email dropping. Daisy's.
< I know you are in today. Come over to WAND. I am doing a search and could use your help down here. And I will let you tell me all about how the thing with your father is going. >
And indeed Daisy is waiting by WAND's offices, resting a shoulder against the entrance to Jane's old office.
Alexander Aaron     Alexander's eyes met Shirley's and he smiled. It was nice in some ways to finally reach that point that there are newer recruits than himself running around. Made him feel like his choice of vocation was... a real one. Which was enough to give him a small internal 'yay'. It might be that warmth of sentiment that she saw in those pale hazel eyes as the young blond man met her gaze. "Oh hey, thanks. That's very kind of you." He holds up the mug of coffee and salutes her with a nod over the lip of it, thankful and then taking a sip. She might well be spying on him, and indeed she might be put up to the task by the evil Daisy Johnson, but it was a nice thing all the same.
He tapped his keyboard lightly bringing the monitor to life at the desk he used. It wasn't technically _his_ desk as he shared it with two other people who had different shifts, but it was close enough. He made a small stick figure man out of toothpicks and empty creamer cups, and nobody had thrown it out, so it felt in a way like his way of laying claim to it.
Then it was into his email he went and started to catch up on the action reports when...
    //BEEP//
Which caused him to sigh a little since he had turned off the activity notifications ages ago, but Daisy made it so _her_ mail wasn't ignored because that was much like her. He opened it...
Then he responded with a single letter.

<< k. >>

And off he went to WAND's offices, pulling his jacket off the back of his chair and swinging it over his shoulder. He does remember to bring his coffee with him though.
Daisy Johnson     The trip over to WAND doesn't take long. It's just taking an elevator, and then going DOWN for a good while, because WAND's offices are underground. You really don't want to keep relics and other such supernatural experiments out where everyone can just access it. But at least Alex gets a nice elevator music to follow him down, along with another Agent who is quietly whistling on to the music. Some conversation ensues. You know, the usual 'what's up?' or even 'they got the steak for lunch today at the cantina'. The usual fare. Yet when the Agent leaves in the last floor BEFORE it goes further down to WAND there's a look given to Alex that's telling...
WAND Agents are usually not that well seen. The man just leaves hurriedly and the doors close again before finally opening by WAND's floor.
Daisy is close by, lifting her chin to greet Alex. "Hey." she tells him with a touch of a grin. She notes the coffee and asks, "How's Shirley?"
Alexander Aaron     Alex is an expert at small talk. The art of saying little yet speaking often. He holds up his end of the non-conversation, commenting on the weather and the food in the cafe. He even calls the Agent by his name as the man leaves, remembering it at the last second. "Seeya, Richardson."
But then he steps out of the elevator in the WAND side of things, stepping in with that subtly ginger step one has when they're not sure what they're expecting to find. Which, with WAND, it could very well be anything.
He takes a sip of his coffee as he makes that wary advance, then he espies Agent Johnson. "Hm? Shirley who?" Another louder sip of the coffee is taken as he acts all contrarian. But then he nods, "What's up? Ares intel? Nothing more except a trip to Olympus is looking more and more like it might be our only decent... go."
Daisy Johnson     There's a sly smile out of Daisy when Alex plays dumb. Or just contrarian. Both check out for what Daisy expects of him! Yet she makes no further comment, instead focusing on the rather more interesting part of the convo, "Olympus..?" she whistles, even if she was already somewhat aware that it might be a possibility to explore, "What started like a clear cut mob shakeout on the wrong person is turning into something ..., a lot bigger." she notes. But then again, she had learned cases were never really what they seemed. Specially when it involves SHIELD, or GODS.
Daisy opens the door to the old office, it somewhat dusted with non-use and steps in, "I imagine your father is furious." she says with a sigh, casting a look around and brushing some dust from the front of her face.
"For what brought you here today .., I am looking for something that may give us an inkling about Jane's fate. And since we are talking about Asgardians, Gods and such thought maybe you can help. We will see."
Alexander Aaron     "I hope it's not anything bigger. I hope it... I dunno, can be handled." And that might be the best way to put it for now. Yet he continues to walk down the hall, though now with Daisy at his side as they approach the old office, their footsteps moving in time with each other for a moment, then slipping back out of sync with his longer gait changing the rhythm.
Then it's into that old office they walk and his brow furrows slightly as he looks around the room, at the small elements that remain untouched, those vague hints as to whose office it was. He looks sidelong toward Daisy and nods.
"An inkling. I'll let you know if I get a vibe or 'sense' anything." Not that he has ESP or telepathy or anything, but as an arcane creature of the world, he sometimes gets a feeling for other curious things betwixt magic and divinity. Perhaps he'll sense something now.
He moves further into the room, starting to poke at this or that. Not wanting to touch things too much, or displace them, but still trying to focus fully on each thing before him. Over his shoulder he murmurs, "You heard about the thing with the X-Men in Washington?"
Daisy Johnson     "You know ..., we are talking about Ares so ..., I expect big." Daisy notes back at Alexander, "Hopefully I will be wrong." a sympathetic smile from the evil Daisy back at Alex before she starts scouring through the office, looking here and there, inside drawers and cabinets. Nothing really seems to be out of place though. But then again they are talking about Jane and the astrophysicist was a perfectionist. "You mean what's being called an attack at a Senator?"
A pause, she turning her head to look at Alex, "Curious subject for you to pick up. What's going on?" she asks rather directly.
No, she is no Black Widow going around the issue until she finds the truth. Daisy is the 'kick in the door kinda gal'.
Alexander Aaron     "Yeah," Alexander says unhelpfully as that doesn't really clarify anything. He keeps looking around, hands sliding into the pockets of his jeans as he considers the room. It's a few moments later that he clarifies when he stops beside the desk and seems about to push a few papers to the side, but then stops himself.
"Elizabeth called me after it all went down. She's alright... you met her if you recall when we went to the fashion event? She and I have been dating for a bit now." He chews on the inside of his cheek for a time and then shakes his head. "I imagine there might be a SHIELD report I need to file since I am dating a fugitive or something."
Daisy Johnson     Daisy makes a non-committal sound at both parts of what Alexander says, dusting another a large ruler with astrophysicist lingo along with Asgardian scribbles on it. "This probably belongs in a museum ..." but not what she is looking for either.
"I remember her. Psylocke. Psychic powers and part of a mutant superhero group." She seems rather well-informed about who she is! Then a faint grin, "And good for you. She seems like a good one." she says, back up to her feet and letting the ruler stay on the table.
"As for being a fugitive..." She looks thoughtful. "There's more to it than a simple smash at a Senator's house. We know there's something going on behind the scenes." of course SHIELD would know a lot more than usual law-enforcement agencies. "Though anything you may want to file on it you are welcome, specially if you find a way for us to help in the matter."
