Mania Evening in the city, and with Andi Benton near a particular ice cream shop in Greenwich Village, a little time was taken to grab something very, very chocolatey. Mania had been on rather good behavior lately, which in most cases means not badgering her too much with silly questions or trying to nudge her into doing things she doesn't want to. It's usually a constant give and take, but chocolate is always a good reward.

Walking away from Big Gay Ice Cream, she internally chides her other side for impatience, making her way into an alley before scaling a ladder to reach the roof, in full Mania form by that point. Only then does the excessive amount of ice cream get consumed, and by consumed we definitely mean devoured swiftly.

"Mmmmm..." That's a content look to the eyes of the symbiote in current form, followed by both hands going to the sides of her head. "Ugh, brain freeze."
Rave When you can cross the world in moments, be anywhere you wished before most people could finish their daydreaming -and- you were trying to have a musical career? It could be oh so easy to be anywhere...and yet, Rave always seemed to come home in the end. Her social media shots had announced it pretty readily given her selfies and posts, but the sight of a bright neon blue streak of energy racing through the streets is the greatest proof.

And now? She was headed up the side of the building, one last 'blink' as she deccelerated to normal pace and basically 'dropped' onto the side of one rooftop, a milkshake held in her hands as she begins to stretch out only to blink at the familier multi-layered voice and turn around.

"Wha-...Oh wow! Hey there Mania!"
Mania Still recovering from the temporary stoppage in most brain function, Mania sits back against a lawn chair someone's left up there for one reason or another. An ashtray is nearby along with a small bin (with a lid) that holds a few books and magazines. Someone's temporary retreat, no doubt.

About that point, someone else that hasn't really been seen in a while..becomes seen again. There's a tilt of the blackened head, the eyes squinting. "Wait, don't tell us. We remember you. We think." The mouthless visage studies the other one, the milkshake as well, then she asks, "..Rave, right?"

Something's a little different about the voice. Still a combination of two, but it's a bit more natural a pairing, more relaxed.
Rave "You remembered!" she exclaims with a little squeak of excitement, a flash of light bringing her closer as the neon bluenette closes the distance and even moves in for a greeting that involves a hug inless she's stopped before jumping back. Last time she remembered with the other heroine that they'd met casually, it had been a shopping trip, but it was quite the thing to see the inky black symbiote again. "It's been a while!"
Mania Fortunately the ice cream is all gone, but there's a surprised enough reaction as Mania's arms spread out to either side when Rave comes in for the quick hug..quickly. "Hey..!" comes a delayed response, body tensing, though fortunately the spiky elements to her body remain blunt enough so as to not risk injury.

Arms cross after the hug is let go of, the eyes narrowing to mimic a squint. "Yes. It has." The tone is guarded before she adds, "You look..well."
Rave Thankfully, a hug is fast enough that it wouldn't linger for too long! Friendly enough that the glowing-haired girl comes to cross her arms at her own bust before coming to grin. "I am doing okay! I had a bunch of gigs in Europe that kept me away, got to try being cultural and fancy and stuff!"

She tilts her head to the side with a smile of her glossed lips. "What about you? How are you...two?"
Mania There's still an aloofness to Mania as if by default, which could be a protective mechanism. Question is who it's meant to protect more. "That's right. You do music stuff, don't you? We haven't been that far anywhere." It might be for the best, really.

A hand waves briefly at the question. "Better than before. More..balanced. We were taking a break from patrolling." Break or not, she begins to pace back and forth, showing an underlying need to stay in motion for some reason.
Rave If anyone was going to understand a need to keep moving, it was going to be a speedster, still she makes to lift her own milkshake to her lips and takes a small draw from her straw before smiling once more. "That's really good to hear! And you should try it sometime, there are some really fun places with sun and surf I could show you. If you like beach places."
Mania Mania circles around Rave once, giving a closer look at the milkshake for a moment, seemingly to see what flavor it's made of. "There's a good chance we'd scare off anyone there, especially if they aren't used to anyone like us around," she says, enough of a show of amusement in her tone and eyes to be picked up on. "But believe it or not, we don't have much money. This doesn't exactly pay well."
Rave The flavor? Well, fittingly it appeared to be a choc-vanilla shake itself, but the girl didn't seem to notice the display before she clears her throat. "Yeah uh...I don't really tend to travel by airplane, but I admit it is a little tricky to carry people at full speed. At my fastest I kinda...turn into light, so I can't carry anything. It's just lucky I take my clothing with me. Slower than that...well, a lot of people can't handle the physics of that speed."
Mania Mania seems to be unbothered by the reaction. "If we were meant to go that fast, we would. There are probably other ways of doing it when the time is right, but until then...?" She can only shrug, moving toward the edge of the roof to keep a watchful eye on the street below while glancing toward Rave again. This time, there's a hint of mischief in the eyes. "Have you been anywhere interesting lately other than that?"

Small talk continues for a short time before parting ways.
