Singularity It is starting to get more chilly in the air, as November bows out and December takes full control of the weather cycle. With it being the weekend at the school, the only students on campus are those that live there and the ones that are cramming for tests before the holiday break.

What was not expected though is the patch of blue suddenly becoming lighter, before suddenly swirling and *BLIP!* out pops for a female humanoid form. Her outline is that of a young woman, slight of build with a volumonous amount of hair on her head. Her eyes are white, no pupil, no iris. Her skin - what passes for her skin, as she is completely bare, is covered in the dark blue of space, with various stars and galaxies seen within her personal starfield.

With her arrival, she looks around and frowns. "I thought. Wrong place." This is not the same place she remembered from her previous reality.
Essix Neither cramming for a test, nor one of the resident students, Essix was here solely for access to the library and computers. Learning from books and teachers are the easy part of being at the High School, reading every book ever written was another matter entirely.

Her appearance was a human female, the body shaped with an average build, long black hair, and required clothing for human modesty. Her face however does not look entirely normal, either she has some sort of disease like Crouzon Syndrome, or she is just horrible deformed. Her eyes are too close together and slanted in the wrong direction... it's a work in progress.

Normally she would head out the front doors of the school, take about ten steps and turn into a bird and fly away. Today that didn't happen because there was a person standing there who looked like she had an entire universe inside her body, as her body, in the outline of a body... it was confusing.

Blinking a few times, she cants her head, then heads right for the person already waving hello madly as she calls out, "Hello! Hi! Howdy! Hola! Aloha!" This continues right until she is exactly five feet away.
Caleb Dykstra The weekend, at Happy Harbor High School.

Caleb is having some well-earned rest and relaxation after hitting the books for the upcoming exams. He tucks himself in on his coat - warm, enough that his body actually shudders to shake off what cold he felt, and take in all the heat built up from insulation. Aaaah, cozy!

He's here to meet Sheila, his kid sister, after class, so he sits on a bench, to maybe go out and grab a bite at the nearby Big Belly Burger, who knows? It's not like there's really a plan, here... Just some normal teen stuff.

He finds himself wondering, mind drifting back to his days in Gotham, and the path that led him here so far. And his thought process is then interrupted by a blink into existence... Of a universe girl!?

He blinks. O-kay...

And then, there's the approaching, apparently malformed girl that approaches and madly waves at the first. Something must be off, there.

Watching the two girls with no small amout of surpise, he greets, "Hello."
Singularity When the other young woman calls out to her, the girl made of universe turns and waves a hand. "Hello!" she greets, her tone peppy and bright, a smile brilliant, made more so by the fact that the inside of her mouth is made of the same light as her eyes. But she is not standing, she's actually floating a couple of feet off the ground.

She lowers herself slightly to be in better conversational range. "I'm Singularity!" Not a super alias. Well. It is. But it's also her name! When Caleb makes his way over to join her and Essix and she looks around her. "Where place?" she asks the pair of them, a brief look of confusion as she chews on her lip and splays her hands to gesture around her. "Not remember."
Essix At what is considered the perfect social distance to allow for privacy and personal space, Essix bounces on the balls of her feet with uncontained excitement. A bright smile spreads across her face that the being introduces herself.

Forgoing the human ritual of the 'handshake', she merely waves one more time as she says, "Hello Singularity, I am Essix, and I am very happy to meet you!" This is accompanied by another slight bounce.

"This is Happy Harbor High School, in Happy Harbor, New York, in the country of the United States, on the planet known as Earth." Yep, she wanted to cover all the bases.
Caleb Dykstra Caleb tries to make sense of what Singularity asks, and as he prepares to answer, Essix says the whole address. "Yeah, well... What she said." He answers neutrally, as if he'd seen something like this before (he hasn't), "I'm Caleb Dykstra, but Caleb will do fine."

He looks between the two, "You ladies new around here?"
Singularity "Happy Harbor. Huh!" Singularity, pops the side of her mouth, and looks around again. "Hi Essix!" she greets cheerfully again. "I like. Face. Different!" Because Essix looks different and that is neat.

When Caleb comes over to join them, she waves again. "Hello Caleb!" she greets warmly, before she shakes her head. "New world. Some same. Some different." she decides. Like this location in her world was where A-Force was headquarted at. And now it's a high school. "Happy Harbor?" she asks. "What is?"
Essix Now that the matter of the universe woman is mostly taken care of, Essix turns her attention to Caleb and thrusts her right hand toward him. "Hello! I am Essix," she states again as if she hadn't just said it with him standing there. "I am very pleased to meet you Caleb!"

Whether or not Caleb shakes her hand makes no difference, it is merely the proper social etiquette. Looking back to Singularity now, she reaches up to touch her own face as she says, "In this particular case different is bad. Human's take great delight in pointing out that I am ugly in this form, but since this is only one of many, I accept that this form is flawed for now."

Now she smiles brightly and just keeps right on talking, too fast, very fast, "Happy Harbor High School is a place of education for human children between the ages of thirteen and twenty years of age, though there are some exceptions to that."
Caleb Dykstra The boy of the trio that has now gathered looks at Singularity with narrowed eyes, trying to figure her out - and Essix, when she mentions 'humans' and that her form is but one of many, "...I'm guessing you're both not from around these parts, are you?" He comments, "Because, hey... Me, this world, this form." He points out, holding out a hand for any to shake. "Very much human."
Singularity "Different as well!" Singularity announces proclaims and shows off her sparkly... everything... with a twirl of her body. How the stars dance around as she moves and swirls and twists before she comes back to the other two.

"Too old." she comments on the school. "Existed since. Existance." In other word, Singularity realizes that she's old, very old. But. "First discovered this. Twelve years?" she says after doing the math in her head. "But for universe. Very young!"

Then she giggles at Caleb. "Met many!" There's a light tone in her laugh, as if sharing a joke. "Like humans. Really like heroes. Want to be one."
Essix At the mention of heroes, Essix perks right up, as if she hadn't already been excited. "I am training to be a hero!" She chirps loudly. "They are amazing people, to risk their lives for the safety of everyone else."

Still bouncing she looks to Caleb and says, "You are correct. I am not from Earth. I am still attempting to understand why telling people that is considered a bad thing, but I will not lie about my existence. I am an alien."

Now she is back to Singularity, "I am technically too young for this school, as I will be turning two later this Earth month. There are exceptions, as I said, I am certain you would be welcomed here."
Caleb Dykstra "Well", he tries to explain to Essix, "you see, not everyone is so easily committed to intergalactic peace, you know?" He continues, "Some people are friendly, sure, but others might freak out."

Looking at Singularity, he tries to make sense of what she says, "So... Old as time?" He tries to figure out, "Singularity, you are very... singular. Like..." He gestures on her overall image, "a universe unto yourself, actually."

He looks back to Essix. "Which begs the question... What about you?"
Singularity "Similar." Singularity offers non-commitally to Caleb. But some of what he says has the little humanoid universe pursing in though. "Think." comes her response. Becuase she's worried that if other students react as he has...

She gives a wave to Essix. "See you again!" she promises the other young woman. "Japan." she reminds herself, and she waves a hand beneath her, and a pretty blue portal opens and she brings it up over her and *BLIP* she's gone.

Probably to Japan.
Essix Essix jumps back slightly as Singularity is just gone, then she starts giggling profusely. "What an amazing ability! I do hope she comes back again!"

Bouncing around she works out the excitement then looks to Caleb. "I am an explorer, my purpose is to learn everything about this planet. Every species, culture, language... everything."
Caleb Dykstra Caleb too is somewhat surprised, even if he too has seen his share of portals by now. "Yeah, that is something." He looks around, wondering exactly how many students were watching. If he recalls, active demonstrations of powers at the school are not encouraged, so he prepares for rumors and explanations.

Listening to what Essix says, he nods slightly. Memories come rushing in, recalling history and cultures, how they clash... and he sighs, "Well... I hope in the long run we don't prove to be a disappointment."
Essix Essix shakes her head slowly. "It is not my place to judge, I am not here to decide a fate or nit-pick the way humans do things. My purpose is only to learn." She offers him a smile as she slightly tilts her head, studying his face rather intently.

"I have already learned a great deal about the creatures of this planet that humans call 'animals'. I have spent time as wide variety of them, existing as they would. Humans however, they are proving to be the most wonderful challenge to understand." She bounces on the balls of her feet, then realizes she is a touch closer to him than the socially acceptable distance.

"Are you accepting of how close I presently am? I can move back if it would make you more comfortable. It is my understanding that humans require privacy and personal space, and I am not seeking to invade your personal space."
