Tony Stark     Tony was more than receptive then Isabel suggested a meeting to talk over Shi'ar technology and possibly even get his hands on some of it. It's not easy keeping your tech cutting edge, after all, and Tony was not someone who would refuse a little boost when it was offered.

Isabel is shown to his office when she arrives at the Tower. Standing from behind his desk/workstation, he comes around to greet her. "Welcome, have a seat." He gestures around at various chairs and sofas. The decor is a bit... haphazard. Kind of like he moves things around when he needs things a certain way rather than actually decorating and composing the room.
Isabel Kane Izzy arrives promptly, shown into the office and offering a wide smile as she returns the greeting, "Thanks for hosting me." Moving towards a chair, she'll plop down into it without fanfare. While she dresses decently enough while acting in an official capacity, her demeanor and actions are far more laidback small town girl.

"So, since the Shi'ar have signed a treaty with Earth, it's made the sorts of missions like that HYDRA base easier. I should probably mention that I'm not *just* here as an agent of SHIELD. I'm also a member of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. So, I have a better understanding and access to Shi'ar tech than most. I can't give you carte blanche, I don't even have that myself, but I can offer you information, specs, and a few pieces of technology that you're welcome to study." She pats a leather messenger style satchel that she has with her. "You might find some of it useful."
Tony Stark     He nods and sits down in a chair facing her so they can talk comfortably. "Yes, your people are rather fiercely protective of their technology. I'm glad this came up, I've been wanting to look into at least some of the basic stuff. Never know what might spark an inspiration when you're looking at something completely new."

He continues "And as we saw from that latest strike, there's a decent amount of your tech in the worst hands possible, so it would be really nice to have a bit of an understanding of what we're up against. I'm pretty certain that not everyone who's stolen some of your toys would be quite as incompetent with them as HYDRA was. Shi'ar tech could be a real threat in more skilled hands."
Isabel Kane Laughing lightly, Izzy shakes her head, "Oh, I'm not Shi'ar. I'm human. Just a farm girl from Iowa. But I was selected and trained to the Imperial Guard some years back. One of the first humans to be chosen!" Yes, she considers that something to be proud of.

Nodding, she grimaces, "Yeah, the war between the Shi'ar and Earth, brief as it was, was still pretty horrible. And it left a lot of Shi'ar tech scattered around the world. That's part of why I was allowed to join SHIELD in the first place. I can act as a representative of the Shi'ar Empire as needed." Reaching into the satchel, she withdraws a datastick and offers it to TOny, "This will have specs for everything I can share with you. So you can look them over at your leisure. What I've been authorized to offer is shielding technology, hard light holographic technology, fusion powercells, and energy-based weaponry. I'm still working on the hyperspace travel and teleportation tech, but hopefully that will be approved soon. I've also put in a request to release specs on their life support tech. I can not only survive in space, but in the depths of the ocean, through fields of radiation... it would be useful to have the tech without the super bulky suits and helmets we have now."

Pausing, she grins, "Current company excluded. Your tech is years ahead of the game when it comes to wearbility. But this might help get you a little further."
Tony Stark     Tony shrugs, "Well, you're here on an official visit representing them, so 'your people' is appropriate." He waves a hand, "Not important anyway." He takes the offered datastick, "Ah, now this will be fun to go through."

He nods as she lists the contents, then chuckles a bit when she mentions his tech in particular. "Well, I try. I haven't yet found a situation that technology can't solve, but you need to keep the tech advancing or the problems get beyond you. It can be a little tiring at times, to be honest." He tucks the datastick into the pocket of his shirt and sits back a little.

"So tell me, how did a farm girl from Iowa wind up in the Shi'ar Imperial Guard? I haven't exactly seen recruiting stations or anything on my various trips around the planet."
Isabel Kane "Mmm, fair enough," Izzy chuckles a bit and gives a nod, agreeing with the 'your people' statement. She reaches into the bag again and withdraws a small, glowing item that looks like a hand-sized battery. "Here's a powercell sample to examine. Oh, and I know you fly be means of repulsor tech.. super cool, by the way... but here's a flight patch in case you find you need to 'slim down' a suit for whatever reason. You've already done the AI thing, but this is a module you can add to an AI system that allows for hard light holograms. Great for training, or for sending in somewhere that's not safe for people. The specs for the rest are on the datastick. I didn't bother with bringing a 'ray gun' or anything since the technology would be best served being adapted to your particular needs. Same with the shielding."

When she sits back again, there's a small laugh as she nods, "Yeah, they don't really advertise. So... the Shi'ar are big on adapting new species and cultures and folding them into their own. In ages past it was a means of conquering. These days they try to be more diplomatic about things. Partnerships instead of takeovers, y'know? But they still like to know what they're getting into before they make their presence known. So..." Izzy pulls the 'sunglasses' from their perch on top of her head, "They leave things like these in places where 'worthy' people might find 'em. In my case, they actually *meant* for my granddad to find 'em. But I found 'em first. So I was assessed and vetted and they decided I would be a better candidate, since granddad was gettin' on in years by that point. I was taken to their home world for training and education, inducted into the Imperial Guard... spent a lot of years roaming the galaxies, helping the Empire end wars or uprisings, and more recently, fighting a civil war against an upstart sibling of the Majestrix."
Tony Stark     Tony takes the offered items with a nod, "Most of my stuff is running off arc reactors, as you probably know, but another power source this small could come in handy for additional power or backup." He holds up the powercell, looking at it for a moment then adds, "I'm actually really interested in folding the Shi'ar shielding technology into one of my suits. To save on interface problems I could always run it off a Shi'ar powercell implanted in the armor. No extra strain on the reactor, but a big increase in survivability."

He listens to her explanation and then chuckles, "It's an interesting recruiting method, to be sure. Pick up random item and suddenly aliens are contacting you. I guess it works though, or they wouldn't keep doing it. Must have been a bit of a shock at first though." He smirks, "Good thing I never found one of their toys. If they took me as representative of Earth people, they would have left and never come back."
Isabel Kane "I'm not the kind of scientist to have these answers but... it might be worth looking into if the Shi'ar's powercells can be adapted to enhance or boost the power of your arc reactors. Those powercells are capable of sustaining their ships and their cities. Ships that travel through hyperspace." Izzy holds up her 'sunglasses' and motions with them, "And it can be rendered small enough that my own exospex run off it... but more than that, the tech they have is self-repairing. Which is thankfully something the HYDRA assholes weren't able to replicate. But you might."

She flashes a grin and lifts a shrug, "To be fair, my granddad was Captain Terror.. one of the O.G. heroes from the World War 2 era, earlier, even. He was a legit badass, so I can see why they wanted him. He even knew Captain America, they did some off-record missions during the war that granddad never would talk about. Though he did call Red Skull an ass of the highest order.. so I can take some guesses." Izzy laughs again and grins, "Or the war would have started a lot sooner. I've seen some of your press conferences from back in the day."
Tony Stark     Tony considers the powercell again, then says "I figure that for things like hyperspace capable ships, we're not talking about a powercell this size, right? I'm assuming that in this case, size matters. But these are certainly competitive with my arc reactors, size wise. I'll have to do some testing to see how the power outputs compare."

"Ah, so you've got the hero thing going way back. That kind of makes sense why they'd choose you, no doubt you were brought up on hero stories and the like, that's gotta shape your personality for the better." He grins again when she mentions his press conferences. "Yeah, well, I wasn't brought up on hero stories, so what shaped me was mostly ego, a demanding father and far too much money to get into trouble with."
Isabel Kane Izzy lifts a hand and waggles it back and forth, "Yes and no? Again, I'm not the expert on this kind of science but... given the relative size, the amount of power it generates and what it can produce is pretty damn crazy. You gotta figure... these 'spex... with them I can access powers equivalent to Superman, albeit only one at a time. But even just normally... when I'm suited up, I can lift around 2 tons, shrug off most blows or fire equivalent to my strength level, I can survive damn near any environment you can think of, I have access to the Shi'ar database which includes information on multiple star systems, their planets, stars, inhabitants, technologies... it gets nuts." She tucks the 'spex back on top of her head, "And that's not even getting into the outfit changing. My close literally get shunted into an extra-dimensional space while I'm suited up, then reappear pretty much instantaneously when I'm done. I even have some control over what the uniform will look like."

Nodding, Izzy grins at him, "Oh yeah. War stories from back in the day. Buuuuuuuuuut, granddad was also a wealthy playboy in his own right. Dan Kane? People thought he was nuts when he 'retired' to mom an' dad's farm... but he wanted to be around family. So, I got money, but I was raised on simple life. Hard work, all that. Granddad didn't want me getting spoiled."
Tony Stark     "Not bad. I can see why the Shi'ar don't want just anyone getting their hands of these things. They've definitely got the size thing down pat. I can basically replicate or outdo any of the things you've got, but it my armor is a good deal bulkier than a pair of goggles. So yeah, I'll be diving into this info probably the very second you leave the room."

"So, how is the great big universe, anyway? I haven't gotten around to managing any intergalactic travel yet. It's something that kind of interests me, but I'm so tied up in stuff here that it's hard to make the kind of time it would take."
Isabel Kane Izzy grins and gives a nod, "I can match you power for power, but you can manage more than one at a time, which puts you at an advantage. But mine is easier to take wherever and have available at a moment's notice. Also, if the 'spex DO manage to get damaged, they'll regenerate themselves." Even Tony has to admit that self-repairing suits would be a HUGE boon. "I'll see if I can get you a pair to poke at. They'll likely disconnect them from the Shi'ar database beforehand, just, you know... proprietary information and all. But even without that, they'd be worth examining."

"I mean, I mostly travel in Shi'ar space... which is pretty goddamn impressive. The Empire's pretty big, lots of systems. Some really amazing sights, and peoples." Lifting a brow at him, she grins, "Not that hard anymore. If you've got a suit that's space-safe, I could take you through one of the Shi'ar Intergalactic Gates, instant travel to another galaxy. See places an people you never knew existed." Pausing, she muses, "I should find out if they'll share their tech for maintaining contact across galaxies. That would make things a lot easier for everyone."
Tony Stark     "Pretty much all of mine are space safe at this point, just in case. Most of them don't have very extensive life support though since they're mainly for on planet work. Popping out of the atmosphere quickly to deal with a satellite or something is very different from traveling through space."

He grins a little again and continues, "And Pepper would kill me if I went zipping off into the universe. Maybe I'll make a vacation of it, bring her along, check out the sandy beaches of Xandar or something." He nods at her mention of communication, "That would be a huge help, yeah. Communications are vital to most everything." There's a beeping sound, then a voice says "You have a meeting with the board sir." Tony nods and says "Thanks HOMER. Let them know I'll be right down." He looks back to Isabel, "I hate to cut this short, but I have to go be bored. Perhaps we can pick this up another time?"
Isabel Kane Isabel stands from her seat and smiles, shifting the satchel cross body once more, "Of course. I'm sure you can get a hold of me if you want to talk again. And I'll reach out if I hear anything about more shareable tech." She tucks her hands into her pockets and smiles at him, "It was good to sit down with you, have a good one." And Izzy will head out with the same lack of fanfare she entered with!
