Monet St. Croix It's a rather cold and crisp day in Bushwick. Monet St. Croix is walking along with an umbrella over her head. There's a mist of rain coming down, and it looks like it's going to pour. She doesn't seem to be headed in any particular direction, just wandering.
Madelyne Pryor The cold and the rain don't seem to bother Maddie much. She's out herself, striding along down the street sans an umbrella, but the misting does not seem to have affected her much yet. Maybe it's magic, maybe it's Maybelline. Maybe she just got out of somewhere inside a moment ago and the raindrops are so sparse that she hasn't been hit by too many yet. Whatever the case, the woman just walks along, hands in pockets of her long black coat.
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would glance over as she would approach, "Hello there Madelyne, it has been some time. I hope that you've been well." She remembers the redhead she met briefly at the Bushwick Memorial, gesturing over at her to join her. "And that you managed to make it throught he holidays relatively intact." Which she rather loathes.
Madelyne Pryor The woman speaking to her gets a glance, and then she nods, "I survived them, yes. No need to explain further, just survived them." She then looks the woman over, before asking, "And yourself?"
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would smile, "About the same. It's good to see you. It has been a few months. Might you care to join me if I'm not interrupting your wandering?" An offering of space underneath her umbrella.
Madelyne Pryor "Join you for what, a walk?" Maddie asks, before she slides under the umbrella, easy enough. She's not SUPER close to Monet, but close enough so as to get some of the protection of the umbrella. "Where do you plan to lead me?" she asks, with perhaps an undertone of playfulness.
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would smile, "Well, somewhere a bit warmer. Might you care to join me for a meal? I have nowhere in specific in mind, but perhaps with some company we might find something more relaxing to do together." It's a gentle offer.
Madelyne Pryor There is an arm sliding around her hip, which gets a glance from Maddie but no complaint or attempt to get away. She just glances at it, and then lets Monet lead her along down the street, "We could get food or a drink perhaps and see where it goes, if you'd like. I'm not sure I'm in the mood for much more than a chat though," the woman warns her companion.
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would nod, "Of course. I din't have anything other in mind. Just having something actual to do on a dreary day like today seems better than merely wandering. Nothing more involved than a couple of drinks and talk." Agreeing with the sentiment. And making sure to let Madelyne push away her hand if she would want.
Madelyne Pryor Madelyne Pryor considers as they walk for a few minutes, "I think somewhere with something light, like pastries, and coffee would be nice," she finally opines, as the pair continue up the street, "Though, not a lot of that in Mutant Town it seems."
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would nod, "Well, I can think of a few places though they're somewhat of a walk from here. The nearest is about seven blocks." Seeing if that was close enough for Madelyne. About a twenty five minute walk.
