Atrice Duckstein Ducky brought two new ghosts home with her today. The guy that she was crushing on hard uttered the four most ominous words to her before she'd stomped off. So she was feeling about as GREAT as anyone could. Which was not good at all.

She'd texted Tom to let him know he could stop by her place. She felt awful and she had no idea what she was going to do.

She'd changed into sweats and a big sweater. Waiting for the worst.
Tom McCarthy It took him a bit make it to her door, he had to stop for food. Lots of food. This time, it was Chinese. He knocked at her door, waiting outside for her to answer. "Ducky, you still up?" He calls through the door, waiting politely. "I brought food."
Atrice Duckstein Ducky wasn't expecting him to have food with him. She perks up a little though. She pads across the living room and to the door, opening it. Had she been crying?

Probably.

"Yeah, didn't want to go to bed before we talked." she tells him as she looks to him. "Come in." she states as she moves back.
Tom McCarthy He does spot the signs of crying. "Hey... nothing bad, promise." He offers, giving her a quick kiss. "I just wanted to eat, and sort out a few things." A wry grin. "Firstly, probably - shouldn't be taunting demons." A wink to her as he starts setting out the food. "What were you talking about, to him? You got a reaction... I didn't quite recognize the language. And Digi was too eager to kill the Demons to translate."
Atrice Duckstein Ducky looks like she might cry again. "I...apologize. Usually 'we need to talk' ends poorly for me." she tells him quietly after the kiss is given. "Settle in and eat. We can talk while doing that." she states. "Oh it was a demon? That's...odd." she frowns. "And I don't know what language I spoke. I've not heard that in my life, it just...came on all of the sudden." she admits. "And it is confusing. Why am I suddenly seeing and understanding demons?" she frowns.
Tom McCarthy A nod. "That's why I wanted to make sure I came over. I wasn't mad, you know? Just not a lot of time in those high-pressure situation." He assures, giving her a warm hug. "I promise, I'll choose better words next time." Tom hrms as she explains the language oddity. "Well, we should definitely look that up. See if we can get a recording of the incident?" He fixes a plate for her, offering it over. "And you can see them?"
Atrice Duckstein Ducky is for all intents and purposes a little...fragile. "Can I be truthful?" she asks. If given permission she continues, "I have bad abandonment issues. I know you probably were not mad, but my brain immediately goes 'oh no...you're losing someone'." she admits. The warm hug is returned and there is a soft sigh, "So are we...you know..." she looks to him. She didn't want to say anything to anyone.

"I think it'll need research. I'm used to ghosts, but not...whatever this is." she chuckles. She takes the offered plate with a happy little wiggle, "I mean...I couldn't before today." she points out.
Tom McCarthy Tom's head cants to the side, regarding her. "Dating? I'd hope so..." He offers, with a gentle smile. "I don't tend to bring food over, and shower with people, that I am not dating." A wink to her. Another quick kiss. "Let's eat, then we can chill and watch a movie or something?" He suggests.

"Have you had any other odd things manifest before?"
