Mystique From time to time, though whether it was noticed or not, Mystique would visit the kitchen of Xavier's School. On these visits she would deliver special brands of tea for Anna-Marie's sweet tea addiction, the sort of snacks that weren't considered healthy, and treats from around the world that the students might other wise never have a chance to try. She didn't care about credit for her stealthy distribution of treats, she merely liked the idea of the students having access to things they might never other wise get to try.

Tonight was a selection of sweets from France, along with a few of the more smelly cheeses they were known for, and of course a lovely variety of sweet teas straight out of the south.
Evan Sabahnur     When Raven comes in Evan is in the kitchen making a sandwich. He doesn't keep very regular hours these days, in fact only being up at the school because he's trying to insert himself into the X-Men. Most of his time is spent at Hope House now that he's graduated.

He looks over as the door opens, then greets Mystique with a smile. "Hi Raven, playing a little blue Santa again? The students keep trying to decide who's leaving the special stuff you keep poking into cabinets on your visits."

He finishes making the sandwich and begins to put the rest away. "Want anything while I've got stuff out? I know Brotherhood and mutant business keeps you on a wierd schedule a lot of the time."
Mystique Caught blue handed!

"Evening Evan," Raven offers with a smile, setting the basket of goodies on the counter for a moment. "At least you didn't call me an elf, or some other such thing. Blue Santa is highly acceptable."

Beginning now to place the items in various places on the shelves, in the pantry and of course the fridge, she offers the young man a chuckle. "I hope to keep them guessing for a very long time, though perhaps I should ensure they never suspect me by putting some slashes in a few items." She makes a clawed strike in the air like Logan slashing something, then puts the cheeses in the fridge.

"I shouldn't linger too long, incase another student comes down, but if I sneak this all away I could have a cup of tea and perhaps one of those pickles," she indicates a jar of pickles in the fridge... why that of all things will remain a mystery for all times.
Evan Sabahnur     Evan shrugs, "And besides, you can always be someone else if you hear a student coming. Not because you shouldn't be here, but just to keep them guessing. Let them see a different person each time someone walks in here on you and they'd be going nuts trying to figure out what group of people wanders in here with random food." He grins and hands her the pickle jar as he puts cheese away.

"How are things going for you? Any new events I should know about? Bushwick has been fairly quiet lately, thank goodness. Apparently the anti-mutant forces prefer not to be idiots when it's cold out." He takes a bite of his sandwich, then pokes back into the fridge to grab a bottle of soda. Leaning against the counter, he opens said soda and takes a drink.

"I'm pretty happy about it, too. Let's me get work done that needs doing rather than having to chase those guys off all the time." He smirks, "Although the chasing can be fun. Lately I've been using my shapechanging to scare them away. You haven't laughed until you see three rednecks sprinting down a city street trying to get away from a rhino."
Mystique Once the cheese are put away, Raven moves to the items that go on shelves. Not everything is from a shop, some are actual boxed treats from France that would sell on any shelf in a supermarket.

"I wouldn't want to give the teachers a reason to get upset with me," she starts with a laugh. "I could wander the halls as Jean, sit in here as Logan or Ororo, but seeing as I did that in the past for more nefarious reasons... I attempt /not/ to do it now."

She continues to laugh, mostly because it would be enjoyable to be one of the teachers for a while once again, but that would lead to problems with the alliance. "I suppose I could choose a student, so long as I didn't do anything obvious other than being here." She then adds, finally finished with the task of putting things away.

Moving to put on kettle on the stove, she glances over to the young man. "We are still working to discover who was behind the attack on the asteroid. They appear to have gone to ground," she snorts. "Probably the wisest thing they could do, but I know they're in Genosha now and that doesn't settle well with me."

While the water is getting hot, she collects a cup, the tea, and the cream so she's ready. "I'm pleased they are staying out of Bushwick however, and that the other groups have chosen to avoid the location for now. They'll be back, they always come back." She sighs quietly, folding her arms lightly across her chest as she leans against the counter. "Winter is nearly over, and even as the flowers begin to bloom, the mutant haters will slink out of their winter holes and start up again... and I need video of a rhino chasing rednecks through Bushwick."
Evan Sabahnur     Evan laughs, "Well, I didn't exactly mean as a teacher, just as random people dropping things off in the kitchen, it'd drive them nuts. Course, it might also lead to teachers lying in wait for you since they think strangers are wandering into the kitchen. So that might not be ideal, I guess. Amusing to think about though."

He takes another bite of the sandwich. "Like it's not bad enough we have normal humans hating us, now we have other mutants to do it too. What a lovely mess." He shakes his head. "I really don't get it sometimes. Why are people so.. so.. well, fucking stupid, to say it plainly."

Evan cursing? There's one not too many people have seen before. "Sorry, but sometimes there doesn't seem to be another way to say it. Things would be so much better all around if people could just treat their neighbors decently instead of looking for reasons to hate them."
Mystique Hot water goes in the cup with the tea bag, then with cup in hand and cream in the other, Raven walks over to the kitchen table and sits down. "People hate what they don't understand," she states bluntly. "They hate different, change, anything that reminds them the world doesn't evolve around them."

Crossing right leg over left, she leans back in the chair comfortably while the tea steeps. "You never have to apologize for swearing, at least not to me. If there is one person on this planet to understands that level of anger and frustration, it's me. Unfortunately, human history has taught us just how difficult it is for them to accept change. I personally thought that by now they would be over the whole 'mutant problem', as they call it."

Watching the young man for a moment she lets her breath out slowly before adding, "As for mutants fighting mutants, the Brotherhood /used/ to be a cause for that with how we did things. I hope I broke that pattern, but this new group... they truly seem to hate being mutant and other mutants at the same time."
