M'gann M'orzz Megan is just getting done with classes for the day, walking out of the lecture hall with her backpack over her shoulder and chatting with a few classmates over the subject matter of the last class. She parts ways with them after a final laugh and a wave to the other students, peeling off to head towards the quad. One of the students that doesn't live on campus, Megan is headed for the parking lot so she can meet up with Caleb for the promised introduction to her bioship!

She traipses across the lawn with the occasional wave and smile towards friends or classmates, then finally breaking away to start looking around the lot for Caleb.
Caleb Dykstra And Caleb is not hard to find - just look for the black muscle car, a 1970 Dodge Challenger, against which Caleb is leaning. When he spots Megan, he smiles waves to her, signaling his presence.
M'gann M'orzz "Hey!"

Megan gives a wave towards him in return, then motions for him to join her, turning to point towards what looks like an updated VW minibus. White along the top half and a dark minty green along the bottom, it appears to be one of those newer electric vehicles. Certainly a far cry from his classic muscle car!

"It's over here, Caleb! Come on over and see!"
Caleb Dykstra "Heya, Gorgeous Green Girl!", Caleb says as he approaches. And he brings a new feature to the table this time: alliterations!

"Nice car!", he says, and he sounds like he means it. "State of the art modern design. I like it!" He points to his own ride, "I got a conversion done on mine with the help of my dad. Fully electric, zero emissions." He chuckles, "And no more gas costs."

He grins at the chassi color, "Great color, too. I have to say, it's really you." The grin intensifies to shit-eating levels.
M'gann M'orzz Megan chuckles and shakes her head, "Hi, Cool Caucasian Caleb. Good to see you." She can play that game! Not as clever as his, but she's able to keep up.

Laughing softly at the compliment, she gives a nod and pats the van fondly, "Yeah, she's top of the line. Hop on in and we'll take off." Megan draws a hand along the hood of the van as she heads towards the driver's side, climbing in.

"Yeah, she likes to tease me like that." Strange thing to say about a van, after all, she picked the color didn't she?
Caleb Dykstra By the way Megan's taking, he makes the assumption, "So, this is her, but in disguise like an earth vehicle?" He shakes his head, "Un-real!"

He gets in and straps on the seatbelt - safety first, right?. It's clear to him that he's trying to contain his enthusiasm, "So, by taking off... You mean like, you have a launching pad, or...?"
M'gann M'orzz Once they're inside the vehicle, Megan flashes a grin towards him and gives a small nod, "This is Bioship. She's every bit as alive as you or I, and she can hear you." Megan glances at him with a wink, "So be careful what you say about her."

Shaking her head, she waits until the coast is clear, then runs her fingertips along the dash and murmurs, "Time to fly." And Caleb will get to see the Bioship *change* around them. Growing, widening, spreading. The seat becoming sleeker, but also conforming to him to keep him comfortable, the seatbelt turning to an x-strap 'belt' that crosses over his chest.

The 'bus' has disappeared and the ship is lifting off into the sky. Megan smiles at him, "So. This is Bioship. She's glad to meet you."
Caleb Dykstra "Glad to meet you too, Bio!", he says by giving her a friendly pat in the seat - hey, it's part of her, right?

He takes in all the changes that occured around him, replaying them over and over. "Man, I wish Sheila was here to see this... She'd likely be squeeing all the way into the ultra-sound, that only dogs could hear it." He chuckles, "I'm kinda halfway there myself, really."

He looks at the Martian, "So, where we off to?"
M'gann M'orzz "Well, Bioship and I both thank you for not shrieking that highly pitched," Megan chuckles and grins at him. She doesn't bother to keep up the 'human' persona now that they're safely in the ship. M'gann's green skin comes through and her clothes shift into the costume she wears as Miss Martian.

Shaking her head, M'gann smiles, "I didn't have a real itinerary in mind... did you want to just.. circle the moon? Visit the Milky Way? Check out the Starport?"
Caleb Dykstra "Sky the limit, at this point", he says.

Thinking for a few seconds, he snaps a finger. "Are you familiar with a very famous song by Frank Sinatra, just how the first verse goes?" He sings a little to help out with the trivia bit, "Fly me to the...?"
M'gann M'orzz "Moon? Sure, we can go to the moon. I'm afraid I can't let you out to walk around, though, unless you have some means of dealing with the lack of oxygen and the pressure." M'gann smiles at him, "But we can go, look around, fly around."

She starts the bioship on the proper course, then turns to watch Caleb, "So.. you haven't told me much about yourself, Caleb. Why don't we talk a little more while we're on the way?"
Caleb Dykstra Caleb Dykstra says, "Yeah, well, I thought 'Fly Me To the Moon', but I wasn't really thinking of playing among the stars."

"You want to know more about me?" He unbuckles to allow for some freedom of movement and observation. "Well sure, what do you wanna know? Ask away.""
M'gann M'orzz "You've mentioned a sister... do you have any other family? What sort of things do you like to do? We haven't really talked about any of the 'normal' things people would talk about when trying to get to know one another, and I realize that we're not normal, but it's good to know the normal things too." Megan smiles at him as she pilots the ship, her hands resting on two spheres at the end of the armrests on the command chair.
Caleb Dykstra "Normal...", Caleb ponders, "That's an unusual word I never thought to hear about me."

"But yeah, I got family. I told you about Sheila, my kid sister. She's twelve", he says, pulling a picture of where the three are together, smiling for the camera.

But, it's a dated picture.

"My father, Preston, is currently living in New York", he continues, "We lived in Gotham, but we... Fled it, to escape some really dangerous people." He sighs, "Our lives were going perilously downhill there, we had to leave."

And idea pops into his head. "Can you film the journey, and have a tour around the solar system? I mean, she'd have her mind blown back home."
M'gann M'orzz M'gann chuckles softly and lifts a shrug, "I feel like 'normal' is a term that applies to concepts and things better than people."

Leaning forward, she looks at the picture with a smile, then gives a nod, "Family is good. And really, nobody should go to Gotham unless they absolutely have to. It's perhaps the most dangerous city to live in on Earth." She offers a faint smile before looking ahead once more.

Blinking, M'gann laughs, then shakes her head, "I don't know how we would film it, I don't exactly have a video camera... if you have some means to take pictures or video, we can."
Caleb Dykstra "Yeah, well try being born there", he says with a scoff. "Sometimes, it seems to me that city was put on Earth by the Devil himself. Hell on Earth."

"It also doesn't help discrediting that when you face calamities that leave you and your pregnant mother buried under rubble, and she gives birth only to die." He sighs, "I got no surviving pictures of her. I barely remember her face. And Sheila never met her."

"And it gets worse from there", he says, pulling a phone and preparing it for some shots of approach. "Can we have a looksie at the Apollo 11 landing site?"
M'gann M'orzz "Oh I'm not trying to say any trauma is worse or comparable.. I'm just agreeing that Gotham does not seem to be a good place for most people. And that I don't go there unless I absolutely have to. I try to be respectful of Batman's wishes that those of us with powers leave Gotham to him and his crew." M'gann offers a quick but sympathetic smile.

Nodding to his request, she changes the ship's flight angle slightly so they can swing around towards the moon, "Sure, not a problem. Any other particular spots you want to see?"
Caleb Dykstra Caleb moves to get a few pictures, even make a small video of the approach.

"Well, it's a good thing his wishes don't get respected from time to time", he says in the meantime. "Power Girl once saved me from a few members of the Bratva who wanted to turn me into swiss cheese. If it wasn't for her, I'd've been ventilated and we wouldn't be having this conversation."

"Hmm, not here, no. Why don't we take a look at the metallic marble, Mercury? And we go on from there?"
