Koriand'r Having a day job could be tiring for many, for most, but add to that the strain of a superheroics thing? Well, it's quite enough to work up an appetite. In the case of Koriand'r, princess of Tamaran and better known a 'Starfire', spending the morning modelling and the afternoon dealing with a minor supervillain had lead to the current moment where the heroine wreathed in green energy had touched down in her uniform and...just sort of stopped, frowning a little as she considered and lifted a hand to rest a fingertip against her chin.

Pizza, Japanese, icecream...the food here was one of the best parts about Earth, and she had a lot to choose from.
Conner Kent It is true Greenwich Village has some of the best places to eat in New York, it is a very lively neighbor. It also has some of the... less good, and you can blame it to the presence of the Empire State University college and the fast-food-hungry students.

Like, well, one Conner Kent.

But today he is having lunch with Kiden, so he is going to avoid the worst places, including the food hall at the ESU. Or that was the plan until the tall alien woman landed on the street. "Ah, what are the odds some super-crime is going on?" He asks his partner.

It is pretty high, really. Because New York. Also, because it happens all the time his dates with Kiden get interrupted.
Kiden Nixon Kiden is having a rare work from home day, so is largely answering emails from her phone and preparing documents from her laptop. It also means she doesn't have to wear office clothes today! Happily in her jeans and top and a borrowed leather jacket and high top sneakers, Kiden is moving along at Conner's side, chatting happily as they head towards the pizza place.

"Tell you what, I'll treat for ice cream after the pizza. I'm feeling a cheat day today, since I get to work from home." The response she was looking for doesn't come, instead, they get to see Starfire touch down. Nudging Conner lightly, she chuckles, "That's Starfire. Pretty sure if there was anything going on, stuff would be on fire or flung through the air."

She lifts a hand towards the Tamaranean and calls out, "Hey! How's it going? Meeting someone?"
Koriand'r Some heroes could pull of the secret identity thing...others? Not so much. Kori very much could not, between her orange skin, near-flaming hair and attire did tend to mark the alien girl as exactly what she was. It wasn't subtle, but then Starfire wasn't really bothered by the thought of being subtle.

Her gaze moves from food to food place, considering for a moment, but it was Conner's comment and Kiden's answer that caught her ear that had Kori turning, a beaming smile on her face.

"Only my next meal!" she offered before gesturing around. "And you are quite correct, there's no fire or fighting or 'glorious heroics' here. I am merely hungry."
Conner Kent And some people think someone with 'Super' in his codename shouldn't wear a mask. So, Conner won't be surprised if at some point his name appears in the news 'Superboy secret id exposed' or something. But really, the idea doesn't worry him at all.

Admittedly, Starfire's face is more easily recognizable. That includes him.

"Yeah, but..." he tells Kiden. And then Starfire confirms she is just looking for food. "Nevermind," he adds, grinning at Kiden.

Then to the alien girl. "Well, we know the best pizza places in the village," he offers.
Kiden Nixon Grinning up at Conner, she winks, "My logic game is strong today." Nudging her shoulder against his arm, she chuckles lightly, then gives a nod and grin towards Kori, "He's not wrong! We're actually on our way to get pizza now. And ice cream after. Care to join us?"

Taking Conner's hand, she gives it a small squeeze and smiles up at him, "We can pick up the date tonight, yeah? I'll spring for dinner, we can hit up a club, have some fun..."

Kiden, conversely, refuses to wear a mask despite being told more than once that she should. Then again, she doesn't really stick around to deal with the cops or other agencies either. So it's rare for anyone aside from her teammates to know that she's even there! She doesn't seem to be concerned about people finding out who she is.
Koriand'r "I do like pizza," Koriand'r confirms, even if her choice of condiments was generally a little abnormal to most. She does smile, her hands slipping to clasp in front of her excitedly as she nods her head. "I happily accept! Please be my guides on this venture to the best Pizza..." she begins only to blink at Kiden's words and tilt her head.

Tamaranian 'dates' tended to be a little more...open in more ways than one than Earth ones, but she'd been here long enough to know that humans didn't tend to operate the same way. "Unless I am interrupting your plans. I am sure I will track it down eventually!"
Conner Kent "No worries, I think we have a few friends in common," offers Conner. "Hmm, Cassie, Bart, Nadia?" To name three Titans he knows pretty well. "Oh, I am Conner, and this is Kiden," he adds with a smile. "We are in the same, er, side-business? Citizen crime-fighting duty? Punch-a-jerk hobby?"

He also points towards a nearby Italian restaurant. Off the main streets, it is not easy to spot from where they stand. "That way, super-good pizza."
Kiden Nixon Shaking her head at Kori, Kiden grins, "We're very used to our dates being interrupted. This is a WAY better interruption than the usual! Usually it's some kind of monster or supervillain or robbery... so meeting a fellow ass-kicker is a welcome break!" She nods to Conner and chuckles, "Well, I know Bart. Dunno the other two. But I'm also newer to the game."

Motioning for Starfire to follow them, Kiden smiles brightly and moves with Conner, "We order from these guys at least three or four times a month. The pizza is super tasty, and personally, I love the garlic knots. Though I try to avoid them during dates."
Koriand'r "We do!" Koriand'r agrees excitedly, apparently happy enough to bring things up when they do, or maybe she simply was just remembering the name she'd either been told or saw on a roster passed to her at some point. Following along, her hands unclasp and she moves to follow, nodding her head in agreement as Kiden explains their tastes. "We have mustard pizza some days at the Tower, when I can convince the others to try it. It is quite delicious, but I am not sure where they order it from."
Conner Kent "Mustard pizza?" Conner considers the concept for a few second. "Well, I lived in Hawaii for years. They also do pretty... interesting things with pizza there." He will try anything, though. "I doubt they have it in here, though."

He opens the door of the restaurant for the girls, checking for good places with a glance. Kory is bound to get some looks, but it is New York, they are more or less used to aliens and odd-looking superhumans.

Maybe not in restaurants. But they -should- get used to. In Conner's opinion.
Kiden Nixon "Is that where you replace the pizza sauce with mustard? I could get behind that for like... a cheeseburger pizza. Or a hotodog pizza. Ooooooooo... now I want to make a hotdog pizza." Kiden chuckles before asiding to Kori, "I don't think I have strange tastes, but I definitely got used to eating a lot of things that I wouldn't otherwise."

She slips into the restaurant with a wink and smile for Conner before glancing around, then back to the pair, "I think there's a booth there against the wall. I can go lay claim to it!" And of course, Kiden rushes off to grab the booth, getting there just ahead of a pair of guys that look fresh off a construction site. Grinning up at them and lifting a shrug, then looking back to Conner and Kori and giving a wave to show where she'd gotten to!
Koriand'r She almost certainly would get a look or two at least...but Koriand'r didn't really care. Instead she was too busy grinning and nodding at Kiden's words as she moves along, quite happy to have anyone not immediately turning down her own favorite dish. With Kiden claiming the booth, Kori reaches into the belt attached to her own costume that was otherwise clearly without pockets, digging for her own bank card. Day jobs did have one nice plus, she could actually pay for her food!

"Come!" she offers Conner. "Let us retrieve some pizza!"
Conner Kent Conner follow Kiden's dash for the booth, and almost laughs at the expressions of the construction workers. Then he glances at Kori and smiles. "I think we are supposed to wait for a waitress at the table," not that he won't follow her to see what she does. "You should also ask about the mustard," he suggests.
Kiden Nixon Kiden flashes a grin towards Kori and Conner, "Native New Yorker. I know when to wait and when to make the mad dash." She motions for Kori to take a seat, clearly excited to be having lunch with someone new. "It's really great to get to meet you. I don't get to meet a whole lot of other heroes. Our team is pretty covert, so we don't exactly host a lot of get togethers."

She glances to Conner with a grin, "Mind, I get to live with this one, but we still try to keep a low profile." Looking back to Starfire, she smiles, "So... super excited!"
