Caleb Dykstra New York City, the East Side. Nightime. People move to and fro, from work to their homes for the night, but the lights... The lights are always on on the main streets, leaving patches of shadows in the back streets. People tend to stay away from these unlit patches, and for good reason, too - in them, are normally hidden the parts of a city you don't want to see, nor come across. Garbage containers, rats, people who're up to no good...

Being a student at Happy Harbor ever since his family left Gotham, Caleb's been coming to New York to catch up with his father and help out with some of his workshop projects. He's now walking the street, headed back home, his Gotham-bred 'danger sense' ever on the lookout.

Behind him, some thirty yards from one such aforementioned back streets, comes a group of people, looking very much normal at first glance, and they turn their head towards the moving young man. And they start to walk towards him...
Karen Starr     Night time means she doesn't have to be at work. But Karen's not exactly good at work/life balance. She does a whole lot of one, and not much of the other. Right now, she's actually gliding through the air at the rooftops, in her white-and-blue costume, with the red cape, keeping an eye out for trouble. It's less because New York needs it...after all, HOW many supers are in this city?...and more because it gives her a chance to think, and some privacy, without having to actually be at home alone and acknowledge those aforementioned poor work/life balance skills.
Caleb Dykstra Caleb continues to walk along the street, making his way towards a black 1970 Dodge Challenger, apparently unaware of the group of people that are steadily closing in - moving at a very coordinated pace, the lot of them.

Knowing how big cities work, and that the best time to rob someone is just when they're focused into getting into their car, Caleb looks about...

And that when he sees them. The people, all moving with a focused purpose. And their faces, all grinning for no apparent reason.

"No...", he whispers. His nervous system flares up, his heart hits a-hundred.
Karen Starr     Robbers? Really? On the East Side? How gauche." PG inverts, and dives down. She'll slam down into the ground in a three-point landing before standing up, looking around at the people. "Do the smart thing. Go home. Sleep it off."
Caleb Dykstra Caleb is taken aback once he notices Power Girl jumping into action from up above.

"Whoa..."

But, it is short-lived, given how his survival instincs kick back in, and he moves to put as much distance from that group of people.

The group notices this, the first few on the front even jump back a step. They look between Power Girl and Caleb, and in a moment...

Their faces all shift to aggrieved mode.

"He and his buddies just stole our wallets and cellphones!", one says.

"They scattered and we caught up with this one!", says another.

Caleb just looks at Power Girl, and shakes his head. "T-that's not true!" He points, "And those things aren't people!"
Karen Starr     "Things aren't people?" Power Girl looks over to Caleb. "Okay, okay. Everyone calm down, and tell me what's going on from the top. He's not even with anyone else."
