Owner Pose
Kitkat There's times when presenting who you really are is a problem. There's times when you need to put on a mask. Even if the mask is actually trying to appear hunman in the first place...

As the young woman enters the coffee shop in a hoodie and jeans, she tosses off the hood, rubbing through the shoulder length hair with the rusty appearing hair that has some locks on the left in a more blonde color. Eying over the room, she slowly moves into the line that is going to the counter, groaning a little as she seems to count something in the pocket.
Saeko Of course, sometimes masks could be fun...and other times they were certainly a necessity. For Saeko, the kitsune herself was perfectly adjusted to it when the need arose.

And right now? That need had come in the form of the beverage in her hand and the pastry sitting before her. One simple work of magic was all it took to have the Tenko now in the guise of an admittedly amazingly beautiful, albeit perfectly normal human woman with long dark hair wrapped in a dark red dress.
Kitkat The disguise of Kitkat was mostly ordinary, the stray lock of blonde hair on the otherwise reddish head sticking out, though red hair in itself was noticeable. Thout possibly not the more russet version the disguised Calico sported. At the counter, the hand from the chest pocket brought out an assorted mix of small coins and a few small bills. "One... hot bewerage from the dark beans with some cream please?" she asked the barrister, sighing again as the young man counted the cash and came out wanting. With a searching motion, the young woman found a rather dirty 50, adding it to the counter. "Uh... and some of the steamed eggs. And... the tiny fishes?"
Saeko A little shift, she comes sip her own drink before considering the sights and sounds around her. Of course, Kitkat was going to catch her gaze and her ears. That attempt at ordering? It sounded quite a lot like her own first attempts at reintergrating into the modern world...albeit..

She seemed to stare, reaching out with her own senses to accertain if indeed it was another mystical being that was currently scrounging for coins.
Kitkat Was a member of the Cat People mythical? Possibly, but for sure the disguise that transformed her into human was magical, leaving a faint hint of the spell around the woman as she ordered. The bills though were real, unadulterated but for the blotches of something dark. Old bills.
Saeko Saeko's curiousity was unlikely to 'kill the cat' as it were, but she does at least lean in now, a tilt of her head in the 'human' form that probably would have been mirrored by the vixen's tails or furred ears were she in her true form. Instead she awaits, until the enchanted other human turned from their order and offered a smile of her own. "Would you care to dine with me?" she asks, perhaps abruptly.
Kitkat Spoken to rather abruptly, Kitkat almost freezes in motion a second before she eyes Saeko, shrugs. First she pockets the change, then she gathers her food to move to the table offered. "Feeling lonely?" she asked, one eyebrow raising, and probably, had she feline ears, one would be entirely on the black haired one. "Or you have other reasons to invite for sharing the meal."
Saeko "Food and drink is better with company, is that not what people say?" she asks, a little coy smile to her features before she shrugs. "Of course, if you have reason to refuse you are welcome to, but then perhaps you would be left wondering...:
Kitkat Kitkat shrugs a moment at the answer to the quesion about the reasons, smelling at the coffee cup a s they settle down opposite of the disguised fox. "That sounds inhospitagle."
Saeko "It certainly sounds far less interesting, no?" Saeko muses, a lift of her own drink as she takes a light sip. It was subtle perhaps, unnoticable to most, but Saeko's own drink seems mostly full...noteably fuller than it had been earlier, when Kitkat had first sat down. "What brings you out and about today?"
Kitkat "Oh, trying not to be all wet out there..." the disguised cat said, gesturing to the weather outside. "And some warm food. There's something to be said about not making food yourself at times..." There's a short sigh as she reclines, waiting for her own food to be made and arrive. Hot drink and steamed eggs and some anchovis.
Saeko Another sip, she considers for a moment, a little giggle and nod before her fingers sweep over the tabletop and color seems to drift away from the world around them after the server steps away, sound seeming muffled and...sluggish? It was clearly strange, clearly magical, and it left Saeko with a little smirk as her own disguise began to melt away, unpercieved by the outside world as the whisker marks and inhuman eyes spread across her face, her furred ears completing those foxy features.

"And what manner of creature are you, who hides her shape as she ventures in search of food."
Kitkat Kitkat yawns a moment at the giggle and nodding, though as the world seems to turn greyscale and muffled, eyes go wider before narrowing again, focussing on the source of magic showing signs of.... fox? Grumbling a moment, she shakes her head ever so slowly.

2"How many Cat People you see walzing the streets, hm? Ever tried to order something outside of Bushwick? If you are unlucky, you get stones thrown after you."
Saeko "You have no need to justify yourself to me," Saeko muses, the melting of her guise revealing the kitsune in all her glory, those full tails visible as they coil and brush behind her while her slightly-more-revealing-than-normal yukata of deep red clings to her form. "You have merely drawn my curiousity...perhaps entirely because I do -not- see so many Cat creatures. Are you Bakeneko? A spirit? A mutant? Alien perhaps?"
Kitkat "Uh... no idea what all those but the last are, and that is pretty much a slur yelled at to the people of Bushwick, I assume. I am one of the Cat People of the Land Within. That might be alien as like, another place or country?" Kitkat shrugs, the colorless waiter delivering her drink and food and earnign a smile and nod - the cat hoping he would see that.
