Harley Quinn It's the beginning of Spring!

It means putting all the snow and cold and wind behind and give welcome to...., rain? Yep, that's what's going on in Brooklyn today. Rain and more rain. Not that it stopped Harley from inviting her best buddy for a visit even if the message was somewhat short for her usual.

> Hey, can you come over today?

A bit too short perhaps! Maybe that's why when Ivy arrives at the apartment there isn't really anyone there besides a pair of hyenas that besides slobbering her up completely in greetings they also point her up to the roof. Must be where Harley is.
Pamela Isley > Hmm, sure.

It is a short response. But, Pamela has had more than enough experience with Harley to know that she stops reading pretty much right away for any texts. And, even if Pam had any other plans, Harley would persist until she came over. Not that Pamela had any plans anyways, but it doesn't mean that she isn't right, either. Harley Quinn is an undeniable force. So much so that even Mother Nature tends to bend to her will. And, if that's true, then Ivy doesn't stand a chance.

Besides, it saves on the phone bill to just agree right away.

The pets get pets as Ivy enters. Yes, it is damp...poor boys are nothing if not affectionate and their affection is, for lack of a better term, moist. But, they are also good boys and indicate where Ivy is to go.

Up.

So, up she goes, to the roof.
Harley Quinn The sound of rain pattering on a mix of concrete and wild life is heard as Ivy makes her way upstairs. The garden was no news after all, considering much of it had been Ivy's work in the past when she had lived with them for a stretch. Or rather, lived on the roof. Turned to the sun as a plant does.

Door opens to reveal that the garden is indeed enjoying those first days of spring, liveliness on the leafs with a more vibrant green than winter can provide. And where is Harley? Over near the edge of the building. She is sitting with legs dangling down without much of a care in the world whether she falls or not (even if with that balance it would be really hard for her to fall). A large umbrella is set on a pole to keep the rain from drenching her up and she is looking over the neighborhood from her perch, humming some unknown tune to herself.

Still, there's a certain wariness to her eyes, specially when she looks Ivy's way. "Pammie! You came!!" she pats the wet floor next to her, "Come sit.." she says with a sigh.
Pamela Isley The rain doesn't seem to bother Pamela at all as she steps out onto the roof. After all, she lived on the roof for a bit. It's just natural.

Is it possible that plants have memory? These plants do. As Ivy steps out onto the roof, the greenery that is present seems to actually turn to regard Ivy. There is a quiet rustling, as if the plants are greeting a longtime friend. And, if one was actually watching, it would almost seem like the green actually intensifies. Apparently, the garden is trying to impress the past resident and mother of most of the plants here.

At Harley's invitation, Ivy walks for the building's edge. As she passes through the garden, her hands reach out, stroking the plant life as she moves though, her voice a soft coo as she greets her babies. A pat here. A lingering trace of her fingertip there. She moves through the garden slowly, but she does make it through to the wet perch that Harley has indicated.

And..it is there that Pamela sits, down upon the concrete, her legs crossed and dangling over the edge next to Harley. "Of course I came." Those green eyes regard Harley...and catch the caution. That is unusual. As is the sigh and even the whole sitting in the rain bit.

Pamela ventures a question. "What is on your mind, Harley?" A dangerous question, to be sure.
Harley Quinn "That's what she said." That's the immediate response out of Harley even if there isn't the kind of mirth on her smile that one can usually find there if this was another time. It's clear something is on her mind! Which Pamela picks up on immediately. The clownette is an open book where it comes to Ivy.

A long, drawn out sigh follows. Perhaps a bit too dramatic but that's Harley. Drama Queen.

"So, April was thinkin' .., maybe movin' ovah ta Manhattan." A beat, "She seems ta want ta leave this house behind. And I am .., sorta worried too.." she bites on her lower lip.

"What if it's not all she wants ta leave behind?" baby blue eyes turning to look up at Ivy now.
Pamela Isley "Ah....you're worried she wants to leave you, too."

It doesn't take much to come to that conclusion. After all, if there is one person Ivy knows, it is Harley. Of course, Harley is probably the only other person that Pamela knows (or cares to know, at least) but that doesn't matter. The fact remains that Harley is worried about being left behind...and Ivy is here to provide comfort.

"She's not going to leave you, you know." How does Pam know? Well...the fact that April lets hyenas stay in the apartment is one indication. Not that she is going to mention that. "She isn't going to go somewhere else without taking you along." There's a pause. "Besides, are there any signs of that? I mean, Harls, you're a doctor of psychology. If there was any chance of April wanting to leave you, wouldn't you think you notice?"

Leave it to Pam to be the pragmatist.
Harley Quinn Harley chews on her lower lip a bit further, nodding slowly. "Yes..." she drops her head a little, "She tells me this is about us going together to Manhattan but ..., ya know, can't help but worry, right?"

Feet continue to dangle back and forth over the ledge, "And I mean.., she had actual real estate papers, Ivy! Isn't that a sign! It's also worryin' that she wants to leave all this behind. It's a memory of her mother so dunno what's up with her."

Her eyes go back up to Ivy and she finally says what was on her mind, "Maybe you could talk to her." Getting Ivy to talk with -other- people about their problems? Is this another ploy from the clownette to get Ivy more sociable? Who knows...

Still, there's a genuine quality to her worry.
Pamela Isley "Well...she said together. And April isn't really one to lead people on. Unlike some other people." With that, Pam's eyes drop down. It is almost audible what the redhead may be thinking. Because...she is one that has led people on, to get what she wants. But...if there is even an inkling of remorse, then Ivy is rehabilitating, right?

At least, that is the hope.

And Ivy, for her part, listens to Harley. At least...up to the point where her friend suggests that Ivy talks to April. "Whoa...hold up there, Harls. You...want me to talk to April?" There's a moment of silence that prolongs into the almost uncomfortable range before Ivy continues. "Misanthropy with abandonment issues. Does that sound familiar? That's me, honey. It's why I am more attached to plants than people. I am not good with people. I just take it to extremes. Or, well, used to."

However...Ivy is no slouch in the intelligence department. She pauses as she gives Harley an inquisitive gaze. "You're trying to get me to interact with others more, aren't you?" Those emerald orbs remain fixated on her friend. "You are worried...but you are also opportunistic. You actually want me to socialize. Oh....clever." A headshake from Pam. "Foolish, but clever...."
Harley Quinn Harley is no twirly-mustache villain but she has her cunning ways. Which Ivy seems to detect quite easily considering how well the infamous duo knows each other by now. So when Ivy calls her out on that? It makes the clownette get that faux offended look on her, hand resting on her chest.

"Moi?! Being opportunistic?" A beat, "Oh, how you insult me so..." she lets out a rather dramatic sigh just before leaning over to elbow Ivy. Just a little considering they are sitting on the edge of the rooftop, legs dangling down.

"But hey, nothing wrong with those two on one deals, right? So maybe I am a liiitttllleeee..." Just a tiny bit. Really!
Pamela Isley "A little? Only a little?"

The voice seems flat, but there is a slight twist of a grin to the features of the green-hued Ivy. "I know you, Harls. You never do anything only a little." Yet, there's a laugh that escapes from the once (and maybe still) criminal. "You are probably the only person that I bother to know. Which really is saying something."

Yes....Pamela is not a people person in the slightest. But...she is a Harley person. And Harley knows it. There is a moment of processing as Pam contemplates if she really wants to people or not. Should she talk to April? And...ultimately, Pamela just sighs as she throws up her hands slightly in defeat.

"Alright....I'll talk to April. You win."

Because, whether Harley knows it or not, Ivy will always let Harley win. Mostly.
Harley Quinn Index finger meets thumb to show just how 'little' Harley is where it comes to being an opportunistic clownette. So little! Barely a space between those fingertips. "This little." She affirms back at Ivy, yet in the same way that Ivy has that twist of a grin so does Harley has her own, amusement showing there, "You got me there though. I don't do half-measures!"

"So fine!" The mask is off! "I did it because you need to go out more aaannnnnddd April is great. You'd do well with her. But ..., hrm, I am still worried.." about April wanting to move from the place, "I don't think she will tell me all the reasons though, and I dunno why.."

Wait. Ivy just agreed to talk with April? And she didn't even had to give Ivy the doe-eyed-lost-clownette look? That's a win!

"I knew I could count on you, Ivy!" And she leans over to give Ivy a big hug. Hopefully they won't fall!
Pamela Isley There is just a slight shake of the head to indicate how mildly ridiculous Pam finds the situation. And, like Harley's hand gesture, it is only *slightly* ridiculous. "Do you think she will tell me why? I mean, I get you want me to get out more. But do you think your friend will actually tell me anything that personal?" Because Ivy seems to have her doubts on that one.

The hug is accepted. And they don't even budge at all. Then again, they are next to a rooftop garden that Ivy personally tended to. Perhaps there is that confidence that the plants will anchor them that makes Pam so sure of herself on the rooftop edge.

"I mean....sure, I will talk with her. But I really don't expect her to talk back. Not if she isn't telling you anything."

No,the doe-eyed look is not needed. That's Ivy's kryptonite and they both know it.
Harley Quinn "I do." Harley says without a doubt in her voice, "Because you have your way with people. Well, it's a very particular way. But you got to me and my heart! And I am suwah you will get to April's too." a grin right after that tight hug. And they don't even fall down to their dooms! Or even need to be caught up by vines aiming to protect their mistress from getting hurt.

"The trick ..., is icecream..." She then confides, "A big-ass vanilla icecream cup. She has a weakness for those." a sagely nod given right after.

"Oh, I hope you been trainin' foh the roller derby. We might have an international match coming up soon..."

Wait. Did Harley say INTERNATIONAL?!
Pamela Isley Oh, Pam certainly has her ways with people. "If you mean douse them with pheromones and lead them on until they give me what I want, then sure, I have my way with people." It definitely is a very particular way, that is for certain. "But I am thinking you really don't want me to do that, which means it is going to be harder."

But maybe not as hard as suspected when Harley divulges secrets. "Ice cream? That's it? That seems relatively easy. Though, yeah, still not as easy as just working the pheromone mojo." Was that a joke? Maybe. Not a very good one, though.

Hold up now? When Harley was speaking derby, Pam was listening...somewhat. But...international?

"What is this about an international match? Are you going to do what you did last time and flip through that superhero contact book of yours and get a ringer team like last time you asked me?" Because yeah, Ivy is fully aware of at least some of her teammates on there with their 'extracurricular' activities. "Just who are you facing this time?"

You...not we. Ivy still doesn't quite see herself as a member of the team, it seems.
