Clark Kent The teleporters to the Justice League's new moonbase have been working overtime to ferry press, donors, scientists, international dignitaries, and of course superheroes up to the newly completed installation. The members of the League itself are spread throughout the facility to meet with guests and talk about the reformed League. Hired guides stationed strategically will answer informational queries and direct visitors from the teleporter pad in the hangar through the other public areas: the cutting-edge research facilities, the grand observation dome at the station's hub, and the functional Hall of Justice meeting room halfway up the central spire.

Wherever one travels in the station, the click of cameras and the hubbub of conversation are pervasive. Science teams, diplomatic retinues, and gaggles of sidekicks travel and converse together, marveling at the spectacular views, the station's advanced technologies, or just the star power on display. The largest concentration of people is in the observation dome, where there's an entire catered banquet set up, complete with champagne flutes circulating on trays.

Superman, the League's formerly dead founding leader, is in that central area, although he isn't partaking of the refreshments. He's standing next to the tower at the base's center, speaking with a small press gaggle and having his photo taken. The reporter finishes up her questions and moves on, and the Kryptonian looks toward the next person who seems to want to speak to him.
Bruce Wayne It is rare, but not unheard of, for the Batman of Gotham to be seen in the public arena. What few such moments there have been have almost always been under the auspices of the Justice League, and this time, it seems, is no different.

For the time being, though, he holds himself apart from the crowd, a dark, forbidding figure in his black cloak and pointed-ear cowl. Those reporters brave enough to approach get a gruff and highly modulated "No comment" at worst, and if the Dark Knight is feeling charitable a mostly-polite redirect to a member of the League that's less taciturn. Most don't bother...this routine eventually became well-known enough in the days of the League's past.
Oliver Queen Being part of the Justice League Ollie is already up here, waiting for those dignitaries, guests and other such VIPs to get here. And he -did- get his beard done in time. Laser-made? Hopefully not.

He is dressed in the dark greens of the Green Arrow, the hood being up to cover his identity and a rather ornate bow that seems more for show than to actual use being slung on his back. But what would an archer be without his bow?

He lets the photos to be taken without comment, some brief words given to the press but his persona isn't exactly the most social, unlike Oliver Queen. So it's the broody, darker Green Arrow that the public gets. Got to keep those villains afraid afterall!
Barry Allen Feeling a little weird and slightly out of place, the Flash just kind of looks around at all of the dignitaries and others who are around. Honestly, while some may be enamored by the sheer star power of the heroes present, Barry is kind of nerding out at the famous scientists he's seeing. In fact, he steps forward to one and starts engaging in a conversation about a book that the woman has written on molecular chemistry. He'll gladly do a photo-op or two, but he directs any questions to Bats or Supes, and focuses mostly on his science nerd time.

Oh and trying to talk people into letting him get autographed copies of their books later.
Carrie Kelley Sparrow was not a member of the JLA. In fact, she was still young enough a hero that she hadn't made any real name for herself other than through her work in Gotham alongside Batman, and now often times solo. So while she had means to be here, and took the chance to visit, no one was really interested in asking her any questions. This suited her just fine.

The costumed vigilante has actually taken up a stance along the observation deck railing to just stare out and admire both space and the Earthscape below quietly thoughtful for now. That didn't mean she wasn't aware of others around her as she glances side to side on occasion keeping track of who was where out of habit more than a need.
Ted Kord "Mr. Kord?" Ted Kord in his full costume turns at the sound of his name and sees a reporter from the Star.

Ted smiles and says, "That's right. How may I help you?"

The reporter looks at her tablet and says, "I'd like your comment on the indications of Kord Co.'s recent reverses. The word in the business world is you're going to have to go public to sell enough shares to become solvent. Can you tell us if you were offered a buy out by LexCorp or Wayne Tech as I've heard?"

Ted's smile fades, "I'm here to see old friends and comrades, not to discuss my business dealings. I like to keep these areas of my life apart. Thank you." He actually does a pretty good study of the Batman for a moment and turns to walk away. Mistake. This was a big mistake.
Maria Hill Maria Hill, clad in a skirted business suit (the same sort of power business suit that she wears when having to address the rampaging kindergarteners that make up Congress), stands within the observation dome as SHIELD's official representative. She has a flute of champagne that she isn't drinking, and feels very //annoyed// at the moment, though she can't precisely put her finger on why. Probably the pomp and circumstance, which she intellectually understands the civilians have a need to see, but she largely finds to be an utter waste of time.

So far, though, she hasn't had to remind anyone of their utter stupidity, but the night is still young, and she's lacking her usual obvious sidearms... which is, to her experience, when some fool might try chatting her up thinking she's amenable. She isn't, and though she does look fairly attractive in her suit, hair clipped back, makeup done (she hates the makeup most of all); she doesn't even want to talk to her //agents// most days, much less some idle civvie who doesn't realize she'd rather toss him off a bridge than talk to him. Though she is capable... marginally... of not eviscerating everyone she talks to.

She gets along with Fury, after all.

She does, however, have one thing that might attract the right kind of attention and dissuede the wrong kind: she does have a SHIELD badgecard clipped to the pocket of her blazer very clearly showing her face and that she is the Deputy Director of SHIELD. And while it's not frequent, the occasional press geek that comes to ask her for a comment from SHIELD regarding the Watchtower and its purpose will get a polite if terse recitation of the party line PR had given her earlier in the week: SHIELD supports the Justice League in this endeavor and looks forward to working together in the future for a safer planet.

At least the Justice League mostly weren't kindergarteners.
Kate Kane While she might be more comfortable in a cowl here, today Kate Kane is here as a representative of Kane Industries, who put a substantial financial interest into the Watchtower. She's actually wearing a professional business suit at the moment. For a CEO more than a vigilante, that is.

She doesn't answer too many questions from the press at the moment, her eyes flickering around as she's content to observe and watch the festivities. Though, she does occasionally note the presence of others in the room.

Particularly the Deputy Director of SHIELD, as her presence does tend to draw her attention moreso than most others might.
Hal Jordan Green Lantern is one of the most comfortable heroes up in space, as space is the true 'arena' of a Lantern. So he's actually quite at ease and comfortable up here. The dignitaries have the Lantern meeting a bunch of people he'd never get to meet out of costume, and some of these people have such gravitas that it's just as well overcoming great fear is the job description.

So he finds himself hanging out with a bunch of politicians that isn't Hal's crowd at all...which means it's just as well the Ring, which is what keeps him from making ettiquette errors on other planets in incomprehensible alien situations, is equally reminding him of little ettiquette foibles of some of the different countries of Earth. That universal translator comes in handy too for all those foreign digniatries.
Kara Danvers Kara is taking cues from her younger but older cousin Superman as she talks to the press. She explains, more than once, she is a reserve member but is always happy to help out a worthy and good cause. Photos are taken, she is in a charitable mood today and is deliberately putting this time aside for 'public relations', instead of rushing off like she often does. These aren't people in need of inspiration, but they will carry the words of the Justice League with them from this place.

Finally, though, she is asked about the construction of this facility and NASA's "Operation: Big Lift" and now she can happily discuss her involvement in bringing all the initial structures up for the hanger that houses the teleporter and invited all the guests in. She's quite proud to have been part of the construction of a moon base. She ends each interview by saying "urvishujuodh", Kryptonian or ever lasting peace.
Beatriz da Costa Beatriz arrives to the moon with all of the excitement that someone who doesn't normally travel into Space might approach lunar travel with. She's in bright spirits, her eyes taking in the heroes as they gather. If she cares about all of the cameras and the journalists. She is mostly safe from questions and bother, having faded out of the spotlight before a recent return. She seems right at home, however, with the excitement and all of the people milling about. There's a certain cautiousness in the leggy, greenskinned woman -- a lowkey nervousness from seeing a bunch of justice seeking superheroes on a moon base that seems like villain catnip.

Grabbing herself a champagne flute that she most certainly drinks before plucking up another to chase away any fun ideas of villains accidentally getting an invitation to the party before looking out for people to approach and catch up with.
Wanda Maximoff Wanda Maximoff makes her way through the hangar from the teleporter, glancing at her phone briefly to check on the message from the Clint on when he'd be meeting her. Though the phone is quickly put away after that. There is far too much to see. There is a different feeling to being off-world in this particular instance. Normally one feels somewhere completely distant. Another planet, or dimension. But to be so close to the Earth, yet apart from it?

The auburn-haired woman pauses to look at one of the views, glancing up at the starry sky overhead and then back down to the moonscape. "Oh goodness. It will never do for Tony to see this," she says to herself aloud, speaking slowly. "He would definitely decide he needs one of these," she adds with a small, wry smile.
Karen Starr     Fashionably late seems to be Karens thing. Truth be told, this time, she'd actually meant to be.

Down on Earth, in the tumultuous place previously known as Genosha, Power Girl finishes her part in handing out a portion of the supplies she's brought over from Cranston Shipping, but considering there are a good twenty more shipping containers to empty on the boat she'd so -thoughtfully- carried over... But, alas, she simply has to part ways. She's already late!

Which, of course, means that... Maybe, she breaks a rule or two. After all, it had been a rule back -home-, but there's no guarantee it was a rule -here-, and honestly, nobody has told -her- that so I mean, if it's anyone's fault, it's not her's.

Which rule, specifically? That there's a time and a place for breaking specific barriers.

By Rao, it takes a lot of Math to make it safe, but then again, she likes Math. Maybe a little super-vision here and there to be sure... All well and good to do in the atmosphere on the way up, and up... Before in that quarter-instant that she feels the atmosphere leave her skin, when molecules are no longer a major issue... She goes superluminal. It turns a trip that could take hours at a sane pace into one that takes fractions of a second, and results in her turning up at the airlock... Almost on time, striding confidently into the primary atrium of the moonbase, the blonde form of Power Girl is impossible to miss, unless you're specifically looking to find something that she isn't- which, in this crowd? Might be pretty common.
Tony Stark "Why build my own when I can be paid to augment someone else's?" Tony asks vaguely to Wanda as he comes along just beyond her, easy grin pleasant and open. Tony may not be wearing his armor (immaculate suit and tie), but one of his assistants absolutely has a case that looks very clearly to be one of the sort that would unfold into said armor -- should some display be necessary.

"Though yes, considering a space project by Mars or Uranus." Cheeky.

As it is, Stark picks a drink up off the nearest source, and gets distracted by reporters. Tony Stark will always give time to the press! "Wanda," Tony encourages, trying to steer her into the photo-op with him.
Nadia Pym-van Dyne A /teleporter/ to the /MOON/?! Gosh! Nadia could scarcely contain her excitement when she found out that Pym Technologies financial contributions meant an invite to a Moon Party on the actual Moon! With the resizing efforts for Bushwick and Genosha largely behind her now and a seeming break in the world's relentless need to be saved like the worst damsel in destress ever, she just had to come. This is a chance she wouldn't have missed for the world (or Moon).

*Fwoosh!* Nadia steps out of the teleporter looking around starry eyed, like she can't believe she is actually on /the Moon/ this is so cool.

The young teenager is dressed pretty casually in a red and pink bomber jacket, over a black v-necked T-shirt with a sparking Tesla Coil on it, and a red pleated skirt that hangs to just above her knees.

She walks around taking in all the sights and scanning the crowd for anyone she knows, positively over the moon about being here.
Oliver Queen Ollie continues surveying the party with a sharp gaze, taking in those that make their way here, a surprise or two there. The SHIELD director is noted, the Avengers..., but most likely a conversation for later as he spots someone there on the crowd he hasn't seen .., in a while.

So there he goes, weaving and dodging past those pesky reporters and cutting through. Though of course he has his own comments to say on the way to a few members...

"This isn't a funeral." He whispers to Batman as he moves past, before he offers a pat on Green Lantern's back, telling him. "Training so you can run for office?" a brief tease. But he is in higher spirits than normal, considering the occasion, even if there's that broody reputation to maintain.

Yet his goal is finally achieved and he moves to cross paths with Barry, a brow arched. "Well, you are probably the best surprise I could hope for this occasion." for how long hadn't they seen each other? At least three years. He offers one hand to the other man.
Clark Kent Without even needing to resort to superspeed, Superman manages to intercept an especially nosy reporter from a German wire service that Barry had sent toward Batman -- quite a cruel fate -- and handle his questions diplomatically. No, this is not an armed military installation. No, it is not beholden to any particular world government. No, he's not dating that superheroine; nor that one; that one's technically his cousin, certainly not; and no, not him, either. Would you like to know whether the Justice League all eat astronaut food? No? He smiles for the camera, summoning a genuine grin with thoughts of Kansas, and sends the reporter back for more champagne.

He overhears Ollie greeting Barry, and starts to move in that direction as well, hoping to greet his long-missing friend, but suddenly there's a crowd of national science fair medalists who want to ask questions about the artificial gravity system, and he gamely does his best.
Kara Danvers "Yes of course the Titans are always eager to help," Kara replies as she's asked about how the Titans and the Justice League and the Avengers interact. "Excuse me one moment," she says with a smile to the media and poses for a few more photos. But there's someone she absolutely must hug.

That would be Power Girl, her doppelganger from another dimension which she has adopted as her sister in this. She gives her a hug, cameras be damned. "So good to see you again Power Girl. Did you fly here? I like to fly here. More fun than the teleporter." She smiles and then asks, "Did this moon base exist in your reality? did you help build it too?" There's a slight obsession Kara has gotten.. is her life playing out the same way that Karen's did? It's probably unhealthy to dwell on these things but she can't help but wonder.

She lifts an eyebrow, barely imperceptible, at the way Batman is cleverly deflecting media attention. May be she should be learning off of him, sometimes the media really gets in the way of doing the important things, like actual hero work. This is already turning in to a bit more than she expects, but, she must soldier on - it's her duty to give this moon base the best opening it possibly can. Besides, if her cousin can do it, so can she.
Bruce Wayne "If it were, at least I'd likely have pleasant memories of the deceased to lean on." Batman deadpans to Ollie at his passing comment. But Ollie's been around Batman long enough to be able to catch the touch of wry through the voice modulation.

And at that, the Batman moves, giving a nod to Hal and Barry in passing, and while crossing a relatively open patch of atrium he murmurs quietly enough that only those with Kryptonian senses are likely to hear:

"You're late, Power Girl."

Chiding or genuinely admonishing? Always difficult to tell where Batman is concerned, but his short journey takes him towards a specific guest....that of Deputy Director Maria Hill.

"Director Hill, this is a surprise. I'd have imagined the Contessa would have handled something like this. But...we appreciate the support." There is no faked polite smile or the like, but there is a hand extended...a rare gesture from this particular League member.
Barry Allen Barry's mood is improved as a few of his favorite scientists agree to send autographed copies of their books to the Hall of Justice in Metropolis. He didn't have the heart to tell them that he actually listened to the audio book versions. Catching sight of a familiar costumed figure heading in his direction, he turns and takes Ollie's offered hand. "Oh hey man, good to see you. We should catch up soon. You know, without so many cameras and important things going on. I want to know how you've been, how everyone's been."

Flashing Ollie a bright smile he reaches out and pats one of his shoulders. "Did you get a few tweaks made? You're looking pretty sharp man." At that moment he catches sight of Supes coming in their direction before he's mobbed by reporters. He winces. "Poor Supes. They're really going to be hounding him with questions for a while, huh?"

He returns the Batman's nod when it's given.
Maria Hill Ah. Kindergarteners. Maria spies a few making their way around the room, or just entering it, and lets out an annoyed breath through her nose. She does slug back half of her champagne at this point, watching Superman with amused entertainment as he juggles the reporters... not literally, though that would be more entertaining. Freedom of the press, feh. That just reminds her of the number of FOIA requests on her desk she's been studiously ignoring.

Batman, when he approaches, gets a nod of respect and his handshake is returned firmly. "I drew the short straw," she replies dryly. "Glad you came by this way. We need to talk soon." Her tone is quiet enough it doesn't carry but not so much that it's obviously hush-hush. "You know, without the press, the cameras... and the children at play." From their few previous dealings, they are both quite aware neither of them are particularly fond of nonsense.
Hal Jordan Green Lantern fair blanches at that idea. Overcoming great fear also involves understanding what you're not suited to do. "...Look, if he..." waving in Stark's general direction "decided being president wasn't a good idea, it sure as hell isn't a great idea for the rest of us." Stop traumatizing poor innocent Lanterns with threats of politics, Arrow! You're supposed to be on his side, matching colors friend! And if anyone else brings it up, he can just point out no human has to be off planet more than he does...his job is technically the entire space sector 2814, not just Earth.

The Lantern also waves at Power Girl when he sees her come in late, in a welcoming sort of way. "There you are. Business trip?" The Lantern spends quite a bit of time around Genosha himself, putting his ring to good use to aid the people there.
Karen Starr     There's a calm roll of her eyes- not a rude gesture necessarily, or even a dismissive one, but somehow, one that speaks to a form of familiarity. As if she's -used- to Batman, despite that the two haven't really interacted much. If nothing else, it's probably at least a little peculiar. Still, her following comment at least explains herself.

"Was delivering a boatload of relief to the refugees. Had to at least make sure the shelters were up before I left." she comments, the first to bring up- perhaps a little defensively- that she had what she feels is a good reason to be delayed in her arrival. Similarly, she's also being... A little literal. Depending on how much international press is still in Genosha, they'll probably hear about it- or, more likely, have already heard.

She, of course, has to touch finger to earring to get this message across- The Bat isn't likely to hear her unless she sends the message over League lines.

The taller blonde has to catch the smaller one, practically, as Kara swoops in for a hug. There's this friendly smile towards what is swiftly amounting to her younger sister, a version of herself that Karen never thought she'd get to look back on in anything other than immutable memory. While Kara dances around the idea of whether or not she'll grow up to be like Karen- Karen wonders if there's anything she can do to make Kara grow up to be better.

Survivor's guilt aside, Power Girl shushes her counterpart abruptly as she starts acting questions. "Hey, hey, hey, whoa- I can answer all that later, there are a lot of people here, and I don't think we need to clean any blown minds off of the walls of the place yet."

She starts floating upwards, towards the congregation of christmas colors made of three League members. Time to say hello.
Carrie Kelley Sparrow watches the ever increasing array of superheroes and heroines that continue to arrive and mingle with a small self-depreciating grin. So many faces she KNEW yet... had never met. A deep sigh is drawn and a mutter of, "Got to get out more," to herself before she finally steps away from the railing where she had been simply observing and indulging in the breathtaking view.

As she turns she catches sight of Green Arrow and the Flash chatting together. A bit self-conciously she reaches up to adjust the strap of her own bow slung over her shoulder. It wasn't often she brought it with her but this was the full suit. Still. She was no Green Arrow. It seemed as good a place as any to start.

A breif glance is cast toward Batman seeing him speaking with a SHIELD agent she was unfamiliar with. That was likely a 'do not interrupt' moment so she strides through the crowd to nod politely in greeting to Flash and Arrow. "Sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to say hello. It's great to see that the JLA is getting back together again."
Wanda Maximoff Wanda Maximoff turns as she hears the familiar voice of Tony Stark. That small grin she had widens as Tony confirms what she figured his reaction would be to seeing the moon base. "I'm more than happy with the view at the mansion. Plus? Being able to open the windows," she confides in Tony before turning her attention back to the facility they are in.

She feels herself being guided over to the photo op by Tony. Wanda smiles, used to such things happening even if they are something she'd rather avoid. Still she does enough charity work or just doing her duty as an Avenger that she has become a trooper. She gives a smile and nod but lets Tony handle the talking unless the reporter addresses her directly. "The thought of teleporting this far gives me shivers though to think of attempting," she comments to Tony quietly, her eyes going back around the crowd once the photo is taken.
Ted Kord Ted Kord ignores further reporters and walks the venue, taking in the engineering marvels. He could build that. that could be better served with a tweak. That... is something he never saw before. he was always decent at catfooting around and you can't hang around the Batman without learning a few things. Keeping to the periphery he still manages to snag a crab puff and then a flute of champagne. He's a little, no a lot disappointed no one else from the JLI showed up. Engineering is nice though. Hey quantum entanglement comm system. Nice!
Tony Stark "My shivers are different; more the excited kind," Tony teases Wanda in return, but doesn't make her stay for pictures beyond the first few. He can appreciate it's not her thing and not /keep/ her there. Besides, some of the questions he's about to field are old ones about his heroing versus politics, and that isn't an item other Avengers need to be dragged into.

"Tell you what, I'll try not to get any ideas today. Small vacation. Your windows are safe," Tony teases the other Avenger, Wanda.
Clint Barton One small step for man, one giant leap from a kid from Waverly Iowa. Clint was on the freaking moon!

The purple and clad Avenger has to tamp down his obvious enthusiasm as he wanders the base, trying to present a degree of professionalism, still there's cracks in that facade, cracks that shatter the whole thing when he sees the view. "Holy crap," he mutters to himself as he takes a drink off a passing tray gaping at the view as he walks before he gives hi head a shake and looks for his date.

Seeing Wanda as well as Tony, he makes his way over and flashes them a grin, "Hey guys, so when do we get one of these?" he asks, then points up at the view. "We're on the moon."
Clark Kent Literal children are, in fact, at play! At just the wrong moment, Superman catches Batman's chiding whisper, and is caught on camera rolling his eyes, seemingly at a sixth grader who won the U.K.'s national science fair, and is posing with her arms around his neck. J. Jonah Jameson is going to make one lucky photographer rich, come tomorrow.

The kid scientists move away to be wowed by the base's lab facilities -- "You could work here someday, if you keep your grades up!" -- and Superman offers a quick wave to his Justice League compatriots, wearing an expression of quiet understanding that he'll have to catch up when he can. His role here is to build bridges, and to that end, he notices a delegation of Avengers arriving, and moves to intercept them as they enter the concourse with its dramatic, transparent dome. He stands aside long enough for them to finish their photo before greets them.

"Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye -- I'm glad you could make it," he says, smiling broadly. "Your team has been doing such incredible work over the past few years." More quietly, and with a touch of very human humor, he adds, "If you do get a Mars base, though, I expect a reciprocal invitation. Fair's fair." Super-hearing. Typical.
Oliver Queen "We definitely should. You know where to find me, and now we got this place too." Ollie casts another glance about. "Still impressed this was actually accomplished." the tap on his shoulder then bringing a brief smile out of him. "To stop is to die. Got to stay ahead of the curve. But you know well what I am talking about." and now it's his time to give Barry a pat on the shoulder. A friendly one. "Call me."

A looks is given towards Clark and the onslaught of journalists. "Better him than us." merciless tone. But the man of steel can take it!

Sparrow's approach brings Ollie to inspect the newcomer, taking in the bow in an appraising manner, the posture. He nods at the other Hero. "It is a great moment, hopefully for humanity. Welcome to the ceremony." a genuine smile given to the Archer. "And good choice." this said about the bow most likely.

And back to the rounds he goes! His path brings him close to Ted Kord, offering an hand in greeting to him. "Welcome, Mr. Kord." and while he does seem formal there's an underlying tone of proximity to the man. "Keeping yourself out of the headlights today?"
Nadia Pym-van Dyne Eventually Nadia does spy a few familiar faces through the throngs of people. No champaign flute for the underage heroine, but she does manage to get a glass of cola with a bendy straw as she makes her way through the crowds, "Supergirl! Hey Supergirl!" she waves excitedly in Kara's direction, "We're on the MOON!" Still clearly incredibly excited by this fact, "And the Moon has /Cola/!" Also still very excited about junk food.
Damian Wayne      Scratch a trip into space off one's bucket list. Despite his attempts to restrain himself, Damian had been entranced by the whole trip to the moon. He had to see everything, and anything he could find. Robin had been wandering the Watchtower, trying not to act amazed by the sheer craziness of the Watchtower. He of course, had plenty of press asking him questions as well. "I /said/ no comment." He barks as he makes his way back to the central room. A smoke pellet palmed in his right hand, should one more reporter ask him anything.

Colorful costume aside, the young teen had as much of a foreboding aura around him like Batman did. At least he saw someone he trusted amongst the others, Sparrow.

Robin was of course here representing the Titans, as well as being one half of what the papers would call 'The Dynamic Duo'. At least under a mask, he could react as he normally would, instead of the quiet and reserved Damian Wayne. "Leave it to the Justice League to be so extra. Might as well have a giant JL on the Sea of Tranquility." He commented, to no one in particular, just trying to cover his jealousy.
Bruce Wayne "My condolences." Batman replies to Maria's comment on the short straw, though there's a nod that follows shortly after, "Understood. Is there a particular time that's...less bad for you?" He feels like he likely knows the answer, but it's only polite to ask.

He does spare a glance to keep track of certain comings and goings. More simply for his own situational awareness than any degree of real suspicion.
Maria Hill "Not really," Maria replies laconically. She sips from her flute, also warily eyeing the gathering.

Actually, Maria and Batman have identical expressions on their faces. This is likely why he is the member of the Justice League she prefers dealing with.
Ted Kord Ted Kord returns Oliver Queen's handshake and says, "Nice to meet you, but it's just Ted or Beetle to colleagues and friends. I'm a fan of your trick arrows, I must admit. Amazing craftsmanship with those. Yeah I'm staying on the downlow. Reporters are bothering me with all kinds of questions I didn't come here to answer. I was hoping to see a few more old friends, in all honesty, Mr. Queen."
Wanda Maximoff The arrival of Clint moves Wanda's smile to a brighter setting. "There you are," she tells him as he joins herself and Tony. "Just remember not to go out for a walk," Wanda says before the approach of Superman draws her attention over.

"Nice to see you again," she tells him. The last time was atop a rooftop, some time before Superman let the rest of the world realize he was alive. A meeting with the Avengers to inform them of that fact. "You're looking much more... public this time," she says with a small grin. "The facility is really something," Wanda adds to the Man of Steel as she turns to look around the visible parts of the Moon base again. "Quite a feat."
Kara Danvers "You are doing great cous', really /shovuhuju," she says very quietly, for the ears of Kal and Karen, or anyone else who happens to be able to hear that. Now there's someone she has yet to properly thank for helping save her life. Besides Hulk, who she did return the favour to, there's still Tony. She makes her way over to him and offers her hand. She's learnt not to be the one to actually grip in a handshake, her fine motor skills are still not safe enough for that. "Mr. Stark, so good to see you again. Welcome to the tower." She pauses for the cameras to take their pictures. She grins a touch more, "Oh sorry, call me from your balcony any time if you want to chat, but I need to talk to my fellow Titan."

Kara then makes her way over to Nadia and carefully gives her a hug. She's more sturdy than most, but still she has to be careful. "Welcome to the Mooooon. Isn't it amazing?" She is getting sick of answering questions about the construction of the place, thanks to the overzealous media and their interest in Supergirl's ability to assemble large components with her heat vision. "There's a really fancy coffee machine too but I have no idea how it works," she admits, similar to the 'Supergirl isn't allowed to touch the microwave' rule at Titan's Tower. Kara shoots an amuse glance over to Damian suddenly at his complaint about the grandeur of the Watchtower.
Barry Allen "Sure thing, I'll have to stop by soon and enjoy the fine coffee that your area is famous for." Barry grins though it fades at the talk of staying ahead of the curve. He nods solemnly. "I will call you, and soon."

When Sparrow approaches, Barry glances towards her and offers a welcoming smile. "Hey there, how are you?" He extends a hand out to shake her hand. "Flash. Always good to meet new friends." Watching Ollie head off to talk to Ted, Barry returns his attention to Sparrow. "So you know what the coolest part of this is? Being on the moon. I mean, I never thought I'd be in space, or on the moon, but here I am."

He looks around at the spacious room and grins. "I wonder if Supes will let me bring kids up here to get a chance to be on the moon. Especially special needs kids, I think it would be really cool to give people that kind of opportunity. What do you think?" He looks back at Sparrow.
Tony Stark "Generally I like real estate in more pleasant areas," Tony smirks at Clint. "You know. New York. Vegas. Los Angeles," Tony explains. "Because this place has the same problem as, say, having a base in Iowa."

Yes, Iowa.

"You go out the door, and there's /Iowa/," Tony laments. "At least here we can look on Earth some of the time. Another planet, well. Might have a view of Saturn, or... have to see. A good view is important. And Wanda was trying not to rev me up on new ideas, Barton."

"Hi," Tony says brightly to Superman, smile broad, stepping up for a greeting to the Man of Steel. "I'd love a peek at what the Watchtower's capable of, sometime. And sure, if we get one, open door policy for the League."

"To my balcony? Huh. I'll let down my hair, too," Tony grins at Kara, accepting her words and handshake with a smile.
Carrie Kelley Sparrow allows herself a smile in return when Green Arrow approves of her choice of weapon. A little chuckle breaks from her as she quips, "It's quite a step up from the slingshot I used to use." He's off again though, and her attention fixes on Barry with a nod of greeting. The offered hand is taken for a shake as her grin relaxes a little. She wasn't too old to not get nervous at times.

"Sparrow," she returns in greeting. "I'm one of Batmans. It's good to meet you, Flash." Then her grin broadens again as she risks a glance up out the dome. "It is amazing isn't it? I couldn't pass up the chance to get out here myself. You never know when or if you'll get a chance like this..."

Lightly shaking her head again she looks back once more. "I'm sure he could be talked into it. I think it's a great idea, and I know the kids would love it."
Clint Barton Clint grins a little brighter at seeing Wanda as well and gives her a kiss on her cheek before he turns to Tony. "Right? With all that corn and nothing outside?" he grins at Tony's diss of his home state taking it with obvious good humour.

A look is given over to Wanda at the idea of not revving up Tony on new ideas, "You know it's no use right? Why do you think Pepper always has that look on her face?" he says doing his best 'what did Tony do now?' look for his fellow Avengers.

When Supes comes over he loses the Pepper impersonation before flashing the Man of Steel a smile and offering his hand to shake. "Was just saying I love the digs, just don't know how you guys are going to get any work done with this view," he nods upwards.
Bruce Wayne "Then clear the VTOL pad at 3PM Wednesday afternoon. I'll radio your air traffic control when I'm on approach." No sneaking in and out of Maria Hill's office for Batman. Well, maybe the one time, but it's not an easy trick to pull off and it only gets more difficult each time he manages. Best not to encourage that along just for theatrics, which were understood to be mostly-pointless on Director Hill after their first meeting. So yes...sometimes Batman makes appointments, but it's a very short list of people that get that courtesy.

"In the meantime...enjoy the party." There's a tiny hint of a grim, terse smile there. Neither one of them are fans of these. But sometimes you make the exception. When it's important.

And with that said, Batman gives Director Hill one more nod and moves away, this time headed towards where Tony, Wanda, Clint, and Superman are gathered, speaking up as he draws near:

"'Magnificent desolation, as Buzz Aldrin called it."

The reply clearly directed towards Tony, though not particularly carrying any snark or cutting tone. He pauses within easy conversation distance and gives the gathered Avengers a nod of their own.
Hal Jordan The Lantern pops by about the time Clint mentions the view.

"Oh, no, the view is inspirational. The view reminds us why we do this...it's for that little green and blue ball down there. ...Okay, it looks pretty big from here, but in the greater scope of the space sector...it really is a little green and blue ball." It's nice to be reminded of that green and blue ball, from a distance, where you can really take it all in...even if it also comes with a weight of what you're really responsible for.

"It's appropriate, though. Green stands for will...hence, me. ...but blue stands for Hope. ...There's a whole lot of hope on that little green and blue ball down there."
Karen Starr     "English is fine," Karen remarks, more in passing amusement than anything else, at Kara. "Same to you. Be careful out there, this stuff is often more dangerous than when you're getting buildings thrown at you." Case in point, what happens to Clark a lot of the time.

While Kara goes off to visit Tony, Power Girl slips up into the sky and lands somewhat softly near Barry. She takes a couple steps closer, and offers out a hand, first to the elder of the two heroes in question, before doing the same to Sparrow.

"Evening, both of you. Not sure we've properly met yet. Power Girl." In this reality, at least.
Tony Stark "That... is eerie. Did Pepper infect you?" Tony asks Clint, with mock-disturbance at Clint, like he'd seen a ghost.
Tony orients on Batman quickly, and a smile pops up right away. "It definitely is something," Tony agrees, paraphrasing Armstrong in return. A reporter, nearby, snaps a picture, and it pulls Tony's attention, directing an assitant at the photographer.

"Get a copy of that; I'd appreciate some proof that I am not, in fact, Batman," Tony says, with a little dash of smile back to the other heroes. It's come up. "I'm all Iron."
Nadia Pym-van Dyne "Oh HI TONY!" Nadia calls over the approaching Supergirl's shoulder before she is wrapped in a hug, a hug which she returns warmly, "It's definitely amazing!" She agrees, "Oooh coffee, I do love coffe, this cola is pretty good too though, I think they used actual /sugar/ to make it." She sucks a bit more of it down through her bendy straw.

"This is /so/ cool though, maybe I should build a space ship next, I bet Cyborg and I could do it we work together!" She sounds completely serious, "Then we could go all kinds of places!" Someone has caught space fever it seems.
Clark Kent Superman smiles at Wanda's comment, a little bit tightly. "Well, I timed my return the best I could, but now that that cat's out of the bag, playing it subtle isn't really an option anymore." If that hadn't been the case, he wouldn't have had to time his return to the public eye as carefully as he did, after all. "But it's great to see you again, too, of course."

He returns Clint's handshake, having a lot more practice with those than poor Kara, and smiles. "I figure we have to allow ourselves a little bit of wonder, right?" he remarks, regarding the view. "We see impossible things every day. Taking a few minutes to appreciate that is good for the soul." He inclines his head toward Batman as his ally approaches -- of course he has a quote prepared.

To Stark's request, he smiles and says, "You and the rest of the Avengers are always welcome here. I'll even make sure to break out the /good/ coffee." Does caffeine even affect Kryptonians?

Stepping back so that Batman can take over playing host for their guests -- a function the Dark Knight is, of course, eminently suited for -- he takes a long, rueful breath, and says, "Guess I'd better run the gauntlet again. Speech time, soon. Good seeing all of you." With a swirl of the trademark ruby-red cape, he's headed back toward the base of the spire.
Wanda Maximoff Wanda Maximoff smiles at the kiss to her cheek, resting her hand on Clint's back for it. She laughs at the Pepper impersonation, but otherwise stays out of the banter between her teammates on that subject. Wanda turns her attention instead to Batman's arrival. "Hello Batman. I was just saying it's quite a base you have here," she tells him. "It will be good to have the Justice League being able to work from here, especially with some of the recent events that have originated off planet," she comments to the Dark Knight.

The auburn-haired woman smiles over to Kara Danvers as she approaches the group. "Hello Supergirl. Very nice to see you. Thank you for having us to see the unveiling," she comments. Nadia is given a smile and wave when Wanda catches her eye.
Barry Allen "Oh, you work with Batsy? That's cool, I haven't really gotten a chance to sit down and talk to him in a while. How's he been? I mean, I know he's right over there and all, but I meant more in general." Barry smiles and then nods back to the sight of the moon. "I'll chat him up about. I'm sure you're right." He glances around the room then and considers.

"Alright Sparrow, who should we go and both..." He blinks as Power Girl comes in to land near them. "Hello." He reaches out and takes her hand and gives it a friendly shake and smiles. "I'm Flash, this is Sparrow, it's nice to meet you, Power Girl." He takes a step back so Sparrow can shake hands and gestures around the room. "Have you two been talking to any of the scientsts? There's so many smart and interesting people here, this is kind of like going to a con but one where you want to sit and listen to lectures while taking notes."
Clint Barton "Just seen her do this face a lot," Clint answers Tony, grinning at Wanda's amusement, before the others join them and the Avengers have to pretend to be adults for a moment.

"Fair enough," Clint says to Superman as he shakes hands, "Glad you're back by the way," he adds before nodding to Hal. "Well put," he says of the reason for the view. Batman though definitely draws some attention and Clint smiles "I think the beard gives it away," he comments with a grin before offering a hand to Supergirl to shake as well. "Hawkeye, nice to meet you."
Carrie Kelley Sparrow merely nods a time or two in agreement with Flash. Wow. She'd hate to see him caffienated! She's able to keep up though, and he seems a nice enough guy after all. "Yeah, though I outgrew the shorts a long time ago," she jokes about working with Batman. A glance his direction is given seeing him actually BEING SOCIAL which earns a faint grin in response. "He's fine. We're there to keep an eye on him and help out when he needs it." If she was going to say more it's forgotten when Power Girl comes over to introduce herself.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Sparrow. I haven't had a chance to speak to any of the scientists yet, but I might grab an autograph or two for someone I know that would love to be here. Honestly I'm a bit surprised to not see him here to begin with," she murmurs with another glance around.
Kara Danvers Kara takes Wanda's hand and smiles, "So great to see you. I've seen you on video clips. You're very impressive. Everyone in the Avengers is." She nods with encouragement and returns the be-nodding to Batman. "Ah speech time," she says to the gathering of amazing people. "You've got this Kal," she says softly for his ears.
Ted Kord Ted Kord waves so long to Oliver Queen. He waves to Power Girl and smiles. He continues his circuit of the room, snagging another flute of champagne in his walk. He stops at a panoramic window and looks outside not really seeing and lifts his glass in a toast to someone, then knocks it back. "To absent friends," he says quietly. He looks around one more time and starts walking circuitously towards the teleporter.
Bruce Wayne "Well, at least I'll feel comfortable denying that I'm Tony Stark to any reporters that ask." Batman replies to Tony, a tiny trace of humor in his voice.

He inclines his head to Wanda, still managing a bit of a smile, "Thank you. We had similar lines of thought when we were designing it. If you don't mind my bluntness, the Avengers are already strategically situated to respond in the tri-state area." Which by dint of being what it is, seems to be the nexus of superhuman activity in the United States if not the planet. "So we felt this would allow for...a greater span of coverage."

Batman watches Clark glide off for speechmaking, not seeming perturbed at playing host to this particular group, before looking back to the gathered Avengers-plus-Kara.

"Not to turn a party into a business meeting, but we should talk soon, Mr. Stark, regarding the establishment of data-sharing channels. At least, I imagine you'd want to get the raw data directly, and not filtered through SHIELD who will be receiving it through their own usual lines of communication."
Clark Kent Superman approaches the podium and taps the microphone three times, sending basso puffs through the PA that signal a slightly more structured part of the event is about to begin. The murmur of conversation dies down, although the whirr of cameras actually gets a bit louder as Superman begins to speak, his voice calm and clear over the amplifiers.

"First, I want to welcome all of you here. So many of you were critical to the creation of this base; so many more we look forward to working with over the coming years, either as allies in safeguarding the people of earth, or as colleagues in the scientific breakthroughs this installation will make possible." As he acknowledges various groups of people, Superman nods to specific representatives of each.

"This station will provide a platform for my friends in the Justice League and I to save lives all over the globe, of course, but it will also be open to scientists from the world over to investigate the mysteries of space in a way never possible before," he says, his voice resonating with optimism. "That's why we're calling it the Watchtower -- it's both a defensive emplacement for Earth against threats like Brainiac or the Dominators, and an observatory humans can use to glimpse the universe in a whole new way."

Superman's tone becomes more energetic as he continues, "Let's not forget that this landmark achievement in Earth's history arose in the aftermath of one of the most crippling attacks the planet has ever experienced. That's the spirit embodied by the people I have lived among all my life: together, the people of this world can bounce back from any setback, turn any bleak situation into an opportunity for positive change."

"Make no mistake: that doesn't mean that the current crisis is over." The voice of the last son of Krypton hits a somber note, and stays there. "There are still tens of thousands of Genoshan refugees in need of permanent homes, and the Justice League stands ready to assist and protect their resettlement efforts. Let me take this chance to make a personal plea to governments and communities around the world: whatever you think of Magneto, whatever you thought of Genosha, remember that these are ordinary people whose lives have been upended; they only want to find their way in the world, just as I did after Krypton's destruction."

Taking a deep, strengthening breath, Superman returns to his earlier, hopeful message. "What the Watchtower demonstrates, to me, is that the people of this planet are capable of incredible triumphs when they set aside their differences for the betterment and protection of all. It doesn't matter whether you're human or mutant, powered or unpowered, whether you were born on this planet or made a home here later in life. Projects like this aren't possible without every one of us pulling together as one."

He offers the assembled group a determined, sincere smile. "But when we do? The moon is just the starting line." He pauses for a second, blue eyes scanning the room, and then simply concludes: "Thank you," before stepping back from the mic.
Nadia Pym-van Dyne Nadia follows after Kara peeking over the other girl's shoulder, post-hug greeting, though likely still contemplating that spaceship.

She returns Wanda's wave with a big grin and a wave of her own. "Hi, I'm Nadia. I'm not sure we've met though I've spent a lot of time at your Mansion. I'm Dr. Pym's daughter." She supplies helpfully. She peers over in Batman's direction for a moment perhaps debating if he's actually approachable, and there's Superman, larger than life. Her head tracks following him as he goes to give his speech.
Wanda Maximoff Wanda Maximoff replies to Batman, "Yes, it is time we have more of a focus on these external threats, I'm afraid. The danger they pose when they arise is as great, often greater, than we face from ourselves most of the time." Wanda gets a somewhat wry smile. "Part of me would like to think it's a good thing we're not our own worst enemy. But that means we have worse enemies," she says in her typically slow, thoughtful delivery. "So, maybe not so reassuring," she adds, tone wry.

Wanda gets a drink from a passing waiter while listening to Superman's speech. After, she smiles over to Nadia. "Yes, I've heard a bit about you, though apologize we haven't had a chance to meet before now. You should stop by sometime, you're always welcome to do so," Wanda assures Nadia.
Karen Starr     There's a firm, careful shake that Karen gives the pair, followed by a billion-dollar smile. She nods a couple of times as both Barry and Sparrow speak, catching the little glint of amusement that Bats, of all people, is as close to working the crowd as it comes, when the cowl is on.

"Whole lot of famous, and a whole lot of smart. I wouldn't call it a convention, it's more like a symposium. Regardless, Happy to have both of you here. Hope you're enjoying yourselves." a pause, "I know someone is."

Then, her attention shifts as she hears her cousin from another universe slip onto the stage proper, and Karen lifts off slightly to make sure that she's above the crowd, and not obstructing anyone's view, as Clark gives his speech. There's a short pause, and just because she knows it'll get to him in that friendly, familial way, Karen's the one that starts the clapping.
Kate Kane And Kate returns from a brief tour given to some of the guests, just in time for the Big Speech from Superman. She smiles, and applauds politely with the crowd when he finishes, then she glances around at the crowd. One eyebrow arches as she takes in all the various guests. Though, for now, she settles on heading towards the bar, lips quirked in a bit of a grin as she gets some champagne, eyes idly flickering over towards Maria Hill for a moment.
Donna Troy     Amazon incoming! The teleporters fizz with a new arrival and standing on the platform is the armored and lasso-weilding figure of a Themysciran warrior. Not the red, yellow and blue armor of the Justice League's own Amazon though, but the black and silver of Troia, Diana's sister and according to rumors she firmly denies the leader of the Titans.

Troia - Donna Troy to her friends - waves her way past the journalists waiting to catch late arrivals. Her eyes scan swiftly across the assembled crowds and fall on Superman, making his way to make a speech. She smiles a little to herself and her eyes pass onwards, picking out Batman, and she makes her way over to where he stands. There she greets Batman and the Avengers with nods, Supergirl with a big smile, and Nadia with a grin and a thumbs up.

She settles in to listen to Superman's speech attentively, and joins in the general applause at the end. During the applause she leans across to whisper to Batman "Diana sends her apologies. Something came up - small incident in Pensacola. It has been handled but she's dealing with the aftermath. She'll be here as soon as she can get away."
Ted Kord Ted Kord listens to Superman's speech and claps dutifully. He arrives at the teleporter and steps out of Donna Troy's way as she steps off. "Sorry about that." then he sets the destination for New York or thereabouts and steps in.
Barry Allen "Good, good. Glad Batsy's still keeping busy and has people to watch his back. Everyone needs people they can count on, you know?" Barry smiles, and is about to talk more about scientists and who Sparrow might be missing, but at Power Girl's words he turns and nods. "True, a symposium is a better word for it, and thank you for the kind words. I think this Watchtower is going to be a really positive force for hope and for good moving forward."

And then Superman is tapping the mic on the podium. He focuses in on Supes speech, nodding along, he offers muted applause once he's done. "Well, Sparrow. I think I might take a walk around and do a bit more conversing before heading back home for the night. It was good to meet you, I'm sure we'll get speak again tonight or soon, especially if you plan on doing more with the League." He gives her a warm smile, a nod and then makes his way towards some of the people serving snacks.

Some of the snacks were a bit fancy for his paygrade, but someone had bacon wrapped shrimp and say one thing for a midwesterner, they'll eat anything wrapped in bacon.
Bruce Wayne "It's likely not a surprise that I tend to be one of the more cynical members of the League, Miss Maximoff, but a good friend of mine is fond of reminding us that humanity has to be free to chart it's own destiny, and that our job is simply to catch them if they fall." Batman is perhaps a little bit intimidating, but as close as Nadia is it's pretty clear he's a guy in a suit, which does perhaps lessen some of the mystique...depending on how much Nadia knows about him and his exploits, in any case.

When Donna arrives, Batman nods, a touch of a wry smile reaching his face again, "Thank you, Troia. I don't suppose she needs any help?" The tone is not genuinely hopeful, more a small joke about how much Batman "loves" these kinds of gatherings.
Janet van Dyne Janet's circulating with a drink in hand. It looks like a vodka martini. She's also in a business suit, but the eye-searing shade of yellow stands out like a light's been trained on it. It's cut with short sleeves and high trouser hems, and a daringly plunging neckline beneath. The silken outfit's fitted by a masterful tailor's hand and the yellow's set off by electric-blue pumps and sapphires at her ears and wrists. A gold chain with a patriotic looking shield hangs in the hollow of her throat; plain but well-loved. The rest of it probably made a nice commission for some master jeweler Janet undoubtedly keeps on private retainer.

The Wasp joins the polite applause, toasts Superman's words, and drifts to intercept him when he dismounts the stage. "That was a pretty speech, Superman," she tells the Man of Steel. "You and Steve ought to get into coaching people for public speaking." She looks around, then drops the mildly flirty posture and puts apologetic fingers on his forearm. "Steve's sorry he couldn't make it. He drew the short straw for holding the fort down while we're all up here partying," she explains.
Carrie Kelley "Of course. I'm always available to help if I'm able," Sparrow remarks to Flash with a grin. "Enjoy your evening. It is your party in a way after all," she reminds with a chuckle as her attention shifts again back to Power Girl giving her a slight nod as well. "I'm sure there's plenty of people you need to meet as well. Don't let me keep you from anything important."
Hal Jordan Green Lantern is also listening the speech...Supes always did have a talent for inspiring people. Of all the League, he's probably best at that...hell, people look up and see that S symbol, and the whole planet basically sees Hope. Good that most of his uniform is blue.

He claps when it's over too. "Someday, I'll learn to talk like that. The ring can tell me what to say, but not how to say it."
Clark Kent Oof. There aren't a lot of things that can break through the implacable symbol of optimism that is Superman, but the mask slips just a little bit when he flushes self-consciously at the applause Power Girl precipitates. Having inspirational words at hand in a crisis is an understood part of his role; having a bunch of people he considers colleagues and friends stand around with champagne flutes and /clap at him/ feels, for whatever reason, like something totally different.

He moves quickly aside, to make room for a short technical presentation by one of the station's lead architects, and greets Janet with a smile. "You're too kind," he answers her, some sincere humility showing through. "I probably should have cut it down some more." He nods his understanding at the explanation of Steve's absence, adding, "I'm just glad to hear it was a short straw and nothing more serious. He's always welcome to visit here -- as I was telling some of your teammates, any of you are. But I've been meaning to drop by sometime for a personal visit, anyway."
Nadia Pym-van Dyne Nadia gives Wanda an enthusiastic nod of her head, "I definitely will!" She may have been about to say something else, but then Donna appears, "Donna! We're on the Moon!" She informs her while waving enthusiastically, still excited about this fact. And then Janet appears! The young girl is practically turning in circles with all the greetings of people arriving around her.

Nadia practically bounds over to Janet, there is perhaps a split second of hesitation of uncertainty whether she should hug her in public, but she just goes with it and wraps her arms around her Wasp mentor in greeting, "Hi Janet! We're on the Moon!"
Donna Troy     The image enters Donna's head of Batman in his full Dark Knight regalia in the Florida sunshine, sitting in a deckchair on Pensacola beach next to Diana, the pair sipping mojitos as the police gather up the techno-terrorists and impound the remains of a trashed giant robot. Does not compute. Troia.exe has stopped working and needs to restart.

She flashes Batman a vague, slightly worried smile, and shakes her head. "No, problem solved thanks. She's just dealing with the clean-up now. You know how it is. Florida cops are a bit less used to the whole superhero thing, they have questions. "

She lapses into a thoughtful silence for a moment, then adds a whispered "Sorry."

Then there's the welcome distraction of Nadia. There's something about talking to Batman that makes Donna slightly nervous and she's never been able to put her finger on it. She can dodge bullets and punch holes in walls, why is this unpowered guys so damn /intimidating/, when they're even on the same side? "Yes Nadia," she says with a broad grin at the young Titan's enthusiasm. "We are indeed on the Moon."
Janet van Dyne "You're welcome any time," Janet tells Superman, and her expression's both flirty and mischevious. Not malicious, but definitely observing the Man of Steel's unease and flirting at him just for the fun of it. "I know Steve would-- Ooof!"

Janet's tackled by Nadia; the consummate party girl, she manages to refrain from spilling a single drop her drink. Once it's recovered, she downs it quickly anyway, throws a wink at Superman, and sets the glass aside.

"Wow kid, you have -terrible- timing," she tells Nadia with a total lack of sincerity. She wiggles fingers at Clark and pivots smoothly out of his way so he can keep mingling, and hugs Nadia more firmly. "We /are/ in space!" she says with delight, matching Nadia's tone. "You also totally went /ahead/ of me. We need to talk about how to make a fashionable entrance," she tells the Waspette.

One arm slips around Nadia's shoulders with a maternal sort of protectiveness; also Nadia's starting to vibrate with caffeine, sugar, and enthusiasm, which is a dangerous combination. "It's ... Troia, right?" Janet hazards, and waves a finger vaguely in Donna's direction. "I think we met once or twice before. Did Diana schlep off and leave you holding the bag for official representation?"
Arthur Curry     Arriving onto the observation deck, joining the crowd of heroics, Arthur Curry still manages to stand out. Not because he's bigger than other, there are tall folks in abundance. Not because he exudes that aura of charisma that the Batman has in prominence, entirely different than Stark's or Superman's. Arthur more looks like a roadie for a rock band that's decided this is his life. Though he's cleaned up for the evening.
Not the usual fare of cargo pants nor loose surplus overshirts he tends to wear. Instead he's got on some decent black leather shoes, gray slacks, and a buttoned up forest green shirt. But for some of those that know him, like when he steps toward Superman and past and give the man a half-smile... it's that Arthur has shaved. Beard still intact and braided, to be fair, cleaned up nice with his hair in a pony tail. Almost looks reputable.
He steps up on the podium. Then looks over across the way where Superman is standing and sort of finger-guns at the microphone as he inclines an eyebrow. As if asking permission. And unless he's stopped, he lighly tap-tap-taps on the mike and clears his throat.
    "Ahem."
Clark Kent Superman takes a step back as Nadia rushes up and gives Janet an enthusiastic hug. He's ready to dart an arm forward it looks like Janet's drink might be knocked out of her hand, but he should have known better than to worry. He just gives both of them a bemused smile. "Friend of yours?" he asks, but they're already on their way off. Big events do make it tricky to have an extended conversation.

When Aquaman heads toward the podium and gestures toward the mic, Superman gives him a smile and a 'help yourself' shrug. He'll welcome any of the Justice League members to make remarks if they want to; Wonder Woman already said she thought he'd be better suited to it, and he can only imagine the face Batman would make if he raised the possibility. If Arthur wants to take that leap, Superman is the last to feel that he's the designated, exclusive voice for the group.
Carrie Kelley Sparrow gives a quick scan around the crowd to reorient herself to where everyone has gone during Superman's speech. It really isn't hard to find the few familiar faces she knows in this crowd. Even with a crowd of people around him to begin with. Looking amused, she makes her way in the direction of Batman and those around him. With all the hugging going on between Nadia and Janet, it makes a nice little space to slip in so she ends up standing beside Batman.

The tall, imposing, brooding figure of Batman that was so hard for many to approach. And with a simple, "Hi Boss," she leans in to give him a hug. "Thanks for letting me come along. The view is amazing!" Grinning nearly ear-to-ear she steps away again. A polite nod is given to Donna, who had been speaking to Bats, with a greeting of, "Hi, sorry to interrupt. I was getting a bit lonely over there and thought I'd come say hi."
Bruce Wayne It's the sheer, unmitigated gall of being unpowered and yet standing beside beings of godlike power without accepting anything less than complete equality, most likely (to answer Donna's question). That ever-present feeling that he just KNOWS how to take you or anyone else down. That sense of always having a solution to every problem. The Dark Knight is an imposing figure inde-

AWWWWWWWW

And there goes the mystique yet again. Bruce can only hope that the cameras are trained on Arthur for the time being. But Batman doesn't push Sparrow away or admonish her, instead slipping an arm around her shoulders, if a touch awkwardly. He manages not to blush. Barely.

"You're welcome."
Nadia Pym-van Dyne "Janet, that was Superman! You know Superman?!" Nadia asks the older woman as she is lead away. This probably shouldn't surprise her, she's friends with Supergirl afterall and yet... somehow she manages to sound surprised, or maybe it is just her boundless enthusiasm. "How do you make an entrance fashionable?" she asks curiously "Isn't it just ...entering?" She has begun to grasp wardrobe fashion under Janet's guidance, but this notion of a 'fashionable entrance' still eludes her.

"Janet this is Donna! She's really great! She's the one who brought me to the Titans Tower on their Jet after I snuck into Brainiac's Ship that time!" She supplies helpfully when Janet addresses Troia.
Arthur Curry     Looking across the crowd, hands now settled on the podium, Arthur looks across the room and from face to face to face, and if one were to take a snap photo of his face and caption it, it might be to declare that this guy... he isn't sold on the whole superhero thing.
But then he lifts his voice, carried on the speakers. "So yeah. Sorry I'm late. Takes a while to get enough flying fish together to be able to reach escape velocity." He chews on the inside of his cheek and smirks a little, but it's barely there. "Most of you probably don't know me. I'm the Aquaman from the papers on occasion. I don't go into the heroing gig that often. I mainly..."
A glance is taken as he looks over towards Superman, Diana, Bruce. Then back to the crowd, "Get convinced to lend a hand now and again. And if you told me ages ago that we were going to set up a base on the moon. I'd tell you to get the... eff. Out of here."
He clears his throat again, lowers his eyes, then looks back up. "Anyways. If I had my druthers, I woulda let..." He gestures with a nod towards some of the Avengers in attendance. "Other folks take the lead. They got it handled. Do we really need to be..." He waves a hand towards the great sweep of windows back toward the Earth.
"So yeah. But one thing changed my mind. Made me believe that we could do more. Could be maybe more in whatever crazy way you wanna imagine."
It's at that point that he gives a nod toward Superman, "But it's because of that man right there that's sorta convinced me. Superman. Because of him that hopefully the world will be a better place and I'll have some small part in it."
Then he smirks and straightens up, then gives a nod. "So yeah, Supes. Fucking nice speech." But then he winces a little but then sort of waves it off as he offers his own bit of applause as he steps back from the microphone.
Karen Starr     Power Girl had started the applause following Superman's speech, and though she had intended to drift down back into the crowd, but as soon as she's getting ready to, Arthur is taking the stage.

Her brow raises, and her arms fold. There is this impassive, incised look to her for a time, figuring that all of what Arthur was going to say would amount to some form of Routine, but as he finishes, her expression has softened- until the entire room gets an earful of his last statement. Drifting out of the sky, Karen's face is concretely in the palm of her hand until she touches down, at which point she runs her gloved fingers over her features.

"If only the bar meant anything to me." she stated, stepping off to the side and, very momentarily, grousing her way over to Hal, one of her compatriots from Genosha.
Damian Wayne      Robin, having had enough of mingling with one group, decided to move around, a slight scowl on his face as he made his way to Troia, arms crossed. "Nice of you to show up, Troia." He said, before just a slight smirk appears. "We have a giant T, the Justice League gets a moon base. I am convinced they were jealous of us having the better base." He offers, the smirk growing to a small egotistical smile. "They do know branding though."
Arthur Curry     That having been said, Aquaman nods and sort of hides a half-smirk, but then steps to the side. Hopping down from the podium, Arthur sort of gives the place a once-over as he spares a nod toward those nearby. Then he might be heard to murmur to himself, "Where's the booze?" Before he starts to head in the direction of the bar.
It doesn't take long for him to step past, behind and along the side of the other Justice Leaguers, stopping long enough to thump-thump a hand on Clark's shoulder before he's heading off to imbibe.
Donna Troy     "Troia, or Donna if you prefer," Donna confirms to Janet, grinning at Nadia's enthusiastic introduction (does Nadia ever do anything that isn't enthusiastic?) "Good to see you Ms. Van Dyne. You'll be glad to know that Nadia has been a great help to the Titans lately. Diana was held up... a small incident that had to be dealt with, but I'm not sure my representation is particularly official. Hopefully she'll be here soon, but there are plenty of other Leaguers around and we have a Robin around here somewhere representing the Titans. Not to mention Nadia and Supergirl.

Donna's eyes go briefly to the drink in Janet's hand and it occurs to her that she hasn't grabbed one of her own yet, but then talking of Robins and associated folks there's a Sparrow hugging Batman. Troia.exe doesn't quite stop working this time, but it's close. "No problem," she tells Carrie with a smile. "I was just passing my sister's apologies on to Batman that she hasn't been able to make it. That's Wonder Woman. I'm Troia, of the Titans." They do indeed look rather alike, which no doubt explains Aquaman's glance in her direction during his speech. She's used to it.

Donna manages to snag herself a flute of champagne that's passing as another Robin arrives, and she returns his smirk. "It's a nice base," she concedes. "But ours is visible across Metropolis, and you need a powerful telescope to see this one so..." Her smirk widens a little and is accompanied by a playful wink. "Given how much attention we seem to be paying to space lately it makes a lot of sense though. We should look at upgrading the T-Jet, it's only LEO capable and I feel we're going to have an increasing need to go deeper into space."
Janet van Dyne "Honey, I know everyone," Janet assures Nadia. Then she sees Sparrow giving Batman *hug* and then Batman is hugging her *back* and Janet just blinks in utter blank bafflement at the gesture of affection from ... Batman.

"I mean, I thought I did," she mutters sotto voce, and focuses back on the people at hand. The reaction to Aquaman's more plain-spoken sentiment earns him a scattering of applause until Janet starts clapping much more loudly and warbles a piercing whistle of approval for the ruler of Atlantis. A few people nearby subject to social engineering start following her cue. She grins at Arthur until the applause dies down and focuses back on the topic at hand.

"Donna, thanks so much for taking Nadia in. It's nice to see the Titans up here. I hear you gals have been coming off the inactive roster, bunch of new recruits and stuff?" she inquires of Donna. "Always good to see more friendly faces in capes. Come talk to me if you've got any costume issues--" she spots Superman turning away and reaches a hand out to grab his cape before he gets out of arm's reach. "Hey! Where're you going?" she demands of him. Janet's got about as much possibility of moving Superman as she does the moon, but she makes a good effort of it anyway. "C'mon back here."

"Costume issues," she tells Donna. "It can be hard to dust old brands off."

"Superman, this is Nadia Pym," Janet says, beckoning him to meet Nadia. "She's Hank's daughter and the new Waspette. Trademarked and everything. She's already smarter than her dad and we're working on getting her as fashionable as me. She's learning fast." Janet looks sidelong at Nadia and grins encouragingly.
Carrie Kelley Sparrow merely grins at the awkwardness a simple hug brings about. Every now and then she had to keep him on his feet, though the sentiment was real. Being on the moon was an amazing experience. She allows him to go back to his brooding posture though after the hug and returned shoulder hug from him with a little chuckle. "I'll make it breif, I know the press are here," she assures in a quiet tone.

"It's nice to meet you, Donna. I'm Sparrow," she introduces with a dip of her head toward the Amazonian Titan. Robin's arrival earns a grin as well. "Looks like you've got quite the turn out for the Titans. Nice job. I'm glad to see there's so many new teams and teams getting back on their feet after a hiatus."
Clark Kent Sparrow and Batman hugging? For the second time that night, Superman's living-legend character nearly dissolves. He manages to hold back the delighted grin that was his instinctive reaction, but it's a dicey proposition for a moment. The fatherly side of Batman is one that not a lot of people get to know exists.

Fortunately, Arthur's unorthodox presence at the podium is drawing most of the room's attention, so neither of the cracks in their respective characters are likely to draw much notice.

As Arthur's remarks draw to a close, Superman looks a little bit uncomfortable; not because of the atypical sentiment for this kind of occasion, or even because of the profanity -- Superman speaks the way he wants to, and respects other people's right to do the same -- but simply because while he appreciates the sentiment, his preference is to highlight others' contributions. Still, he flashes a smile at the enthusiastic back-slaps. There aren't a lot of people who wouldn't be launched across the room by that, but Superman is one of them.

Likewise, while Janet isn't going to stop him if he really tried to get away, her voice quite effectively stops him in his tracks. He turns politely, tilting his head and giving Nadia a broad grin.

"Hi, Nadia. It's great to meet you. You worked on restoring Bushwick and Genosha, didn't you? I heard about that. Good work, even if they didn't both work out quite as well as we'd hoped." The name 'Waspette' catches his attention, especially. "So are you doing superhero work, too? You have quite some shoes to fill."
Bruce Wayne Batman releases the brief hug, turning his attention to Damian and noting in a tone as dry as the Sahara, "Trying to break it into two towers shaped like a "J" and "L" was incompatible with the artificial gravity systems."

A beat.

"But our tower is taller."

There's that tiniest of cracks in the Batman's facade there, with another touch of a wry expression towards Damian. No, the Justice League is not jealous of the Titans' headquarters...but he'll play along. Yes, Batman just made a joke. Contrary to popular belief, he does that sometimes.
Diana Prince Diana does arrive, without fanfare. She steps in through the main entrance, a red shawl draped around her shoulders, with her armor on underneath, her hair loose about her shoulders and waving gently as she strides in to the gathering. Her eyes scan over the crowd of people gathered here-in, she spies Donna and adjusts her course toward her. Stepping up to Donna's side, Diana smiles to her younger sister and exhales sharply and lightly. "I made it." She says, once more allowing her gaze to wander.

"I believe we have set yet another new record, for number of people on the surface of the moon." She states with a quick smile, before finding a drink being handed to her, to which she accepts with a gracious 'thank you' to its giver. Diana will adjust her stare to look upon Clark, she raises her glass to him, and offers him a smile as well, showing her pride in all that has been accomplished here.
Donna Troy     "There are rather a lot of Titans around in general these days," Donna tells Carrie with a laugh. "We may be up to twenty-five members now. I lose count. I'm afraid people are going to have to get used to seeing Titans around. At the current rate half the heroes in America will be Titans by the end of the year. A pleasure to meet you, Sparrow. Nightwing was one of the first friends I made when I came to America, and any... associate... of Batman I consider a friend already. Come visit us at the tower some time."

She nods to Janet, giving her a grateful smile. "We do have a lot of newcomers, so costumes are a bit of an issue," she concedes. "Maybe we can work something out for some of our new members - I'll be in contact. Ah, Kal!"

As Janet kidnaps Superman, Donna joins in greeting him with a broad smile. "Quite the party, Kal. And quite the base. Diana sends her apologies that she couldn't be here on time, she's... "

Donna blinks twice as she catches sight of her sister making her way through the crowd and changes tack suddenly, her smile widening even more. "Here! Diana, you made it!" She wraps an arm quickly around Diana to give her a half-hug, visibly delighted her sister was able to get away from the paperwork. "You escaped the forces of Floridan bureaucracy I see!"
Arthur Curry     His half grin is sent Janet's way as the Atlantean strolls up to the bar, at least someone liked it. But then there's Diana's arrival which causes him to glance up from the bar. Arthur takes a moment to look across the way toward the newly arrived Amazonian, gaze narrowing for a moment as puzzlement settles in his eyes. A glance over is given toward Troia...
    Then back to Diana...
Then back to Troia. But he seems to surrender to the likelihood of it being some convoluted tale and instead settles against the bar only to nod to the tender and place his order.
Hal Jordan The Lantern looks rueful when Power Girl comes over. "...I'd raz him more for that, but he went and made friends with a bunch of yellow sharks just for me. He never did mention if it was just a genetic mutation or something else."

As for booze..."...Thor's asgardian ale might not be the only booze that works. There's a drink for super tough types on Washkey IV, and it's only a couple hundred lightyears away. Better, it's a yellow sun solar system."
Damian Wayne      Damian's been without a drink, but being underage, that was fine for him. He did manage to pay Donna an aside of business. "I can see about that T-Shuttle."

"Thank you, Sparrow. The Titans' return has been going well, and as Troia would say, the newer Titans have promise." Of course, he is amongst those newer Titans, so he was paying himself a compliment.

The train had been derailed as the joke from Batman has Damian both stunned and slightly groaning from a dad joke. "Do you want me to hug you too?" He asks, looking up at Batman before he smiles wickedly. "With all these cameras here?"

Though, as Diana makes her approach, Robin clams up in a way no one had ever seen before. To many youths, seeing Batman or Superman live and in person would have that effect. But Batman was his dad, Diana was Wonder Woman. One of the most gifted warriors he had ever seen. He was literally meeting his hero. "Hello, Wonder Woman." He says, slightly meek sounding, his olive skin tone blushing as he greeted.
Nadia Pym-van Dyne Nadia blinks at for a moment when she starts talking about space threats and modifying the T-Jet, "I was just telling Supergirl earlier, maybe Cyborg and I could build a spacecraft and then we could go all kinds of places if we needed to or just to /see/ them." Because this girl literally wants to know everything in the known universe.

She nods several times in agreement when Janet brings up costumes, "She makes /costumes/." She agrees with Janet, "I showed them the cool new one you made for me!"

And then Janet is introducing her to the literal Paragon of all Earth's Heroes, "Um, Hi! I'm Nadia! Oh yeah, I was involved in that, I know a lot about making things big and small." She smiles, with a hint of nervousness. Is it possible?! Even the normally fearless Nadia is a bit shy in the presence of Superman. "It, yeah, it was hard and could have gone better. But the people are safe at least. Except for the ones that Magneto guy abducted." Her smile fades a bit when mentioning the difficulties encountered but doesn't vanish completely, "I just hope Lorna's okay..."

When Diana steps up next to Donna, Nadia blinks looking between them, "Twins?"
Carrie Kelley Sparrow smiles warmly at Donna only to nod in agreement at mention of how many Titans there are lately. She knew. She'd heard and seen their numbers swelling. Constantly. But when Donna invites her to visit the Tower her eyebrows rise a bit with an honest look of surprise. "Ah, thank you. You know, no one's actually invited me to the tower before. Ever."

This last is said as she stares back at Robin. It is indeed a stare. The corner of her mouth twitches slightly, and she takes a deep breath. "I would have thought someone might before now. So good to hear your recruitment is going well, Robin," she adds before tearing her gaze away again. "Maybe I'll visit sometime."
Karen Starr     There's this small shrug. Thankfully for the decency of the Moon, her arms unfurl from one another before she does. "Listen, it might have been stumbling in verbal form, but it was stumbling over the right steps until the end. I can't fault him -too- much, at least not in public." she relents, not entirely amused- but not fully bothered, either.

"Yeah, I brought some relief supplies down there this afternoon, and spent some time handing out what i could before I came here. Got a bunch of impromptu shelters up for people that still don't have a roof over their head, and some of them I'm sure stowed on the ship when it made its way back... But we're doing the best we can for now."
Diana Prince Diana's eyes catch Arthur's sweeping stare, between she and Donna, which gets a growing grin sliding across her red hued lips. "The mighty Aquaman, savior of the seas, befuddled by sisters." She says in his direction, before looking to Donna herself, who gets a sideways hug from Diana's right arm. "Florida is a lovely place. Mostly. Thank you for filling in for me," She tells her in a soft voice."

When Damian speaks to her, the Princess looks to him. She steps toward him and offers him her right hand then. "Hello to you, I do not believe we have had the pleasure of meeting?" She asks of the young man.
Clark Kent Superman raises one hand at Diana's toast, a friendly salute rather than a wave. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't have a drink of his own with which to return the gesture. He looks amused at her comment about their record-setting event. "I imagine it's not really what you Titans would think of as a party," he answers Donna knowingly, "but it's what we wanted it to be. A way for the world to come together as one and feel some hope."

To Nadia, he continues, "I have some good news for you, then. Lorna has already been returned to Earth, safe and sound. She's back among allies and working to keep the Genoshans fed and sheltered until they can find safe harbor." He flashes her a smile, then points up toward the pinnacle of the Watchtower spire. "We have some pretty impressive media monitoring technology installed."

He tilts his head and asks, "As for space flights, did you see our shuttle fleet on your way in? They should be berthed near the teleporters. Not proper starships, but they'll do for short hops within the system."
Hal Jordan The Lantern nods at that. So much to do down there...

But..."...What do you think? You wanna try Washkey IV, or leave it for the evening? Like I said, it's not that big of a jump...and you probably do miss having a proper drink, am I right?"
Janet van Dyne "Sisters," Janet corrects Nadia. "I think."

It's kind of cute watching Nadia hero-worship at Big Blue, and Janet grins at Superman with delight as he clearly lives up to Nadia's estimation of him. "Supes, don't let Tony and Batman make the call about networking," Janet tells him, and taps a fingernail against his chest pointedly. "You come talk to Steve, and you and Steve hammer out the details. I think we should leave cross-pollination up to the boys who are more willing to share their toys, and Tony, uh, doesn't do that ... gracefully," she says, looking for the right words.
Donna Troy     If you look twice, the differences between Diana and Donna become more obvious. Diana's nose is more Roman, Donna's eyes a little bigger and her face a little more rounded. When they are standing side by side, Diana's noticeably a bit taller. You wouldn't necessarily notice the similarities without context - when you know they are sisters, or if you're expecting to see one and see the other instead, it looks pretty obvious. Oddly Troia was more famous a few years ago in the Titan's first heyday, before Diana had been in the public eye, and had left under mysterious circumstances before Diana became a famous figure in the aftermath of Doomsday. Apart from one odd conspiracy theory website lost in the corner of the Internet which made the claim that Wonder Woman was in fact the missing Troia of the Titans adopting a new identity, it hadn't been much remarked upon, at least until the last few months - and honestly it's a little baffling to Donna...

"Nadia, this is my sister Diana. Better known to the world as Wonder Woman. Though... well no, we're not twins. Actually I'm adopted, so the whole..." she gives a puzzled laugh and shakes her head before smiling at Diana. "Perhaps we should go and confuse the Atlantean some more?" she asks with a mischevious grin.

"Diana, this is Nadia, or Waspette, one of our newest members. She was a great help to us in the Brainiac business. And this is the latest Robin, who has become an invaluable member of the team. I think he is the best swordsperson I have met since leaving Themyscira. If we can arrange... what we discussed before, I would love to have him train with Phillipus a little."

Donna rests a hand on Nadia's shoulder and gives her a quickly whispered "The T-Jet is already vacuum-capable, propulsion is the main issue. We'll talk about it later," before turning her attention to Superman.

"I notice a distinct lack of pizzas," she replies to him with an amused smile. "If I tried to throw a Titans party without pizzas there would probably be a mutiny, but it's good to have a little variety. This is an amazing achievement though. We must talk soon Kal, what we discussed before about improving the lines of communication between the teams. It's past time."
Bruce Wayne Batman looks as though he's going to say something to Damian's threat of a hug, or perhaps his obvious admiration for Wonder Woman, but before any words come out there's a beeping from his right gauntlet. He flips up a small panel there and studies the screen hidden beneath for just a moment.

"The Signal's up. Time to go." No more jokes, Dad or otherwise, as grim purpose settles on Batman's face and laces through the tone of his modulated voice.

He gestures for Robin and Sparrow to follow, and with barely more than a nod to Donna, Diana and the others nearby, he strides purposefully in the direction of the teleport pads for a swift return to Gotham.

He's rarely grateful for the Signal...it is, after all, a sign of exceptional trouble for the city he guards...but this time he might be just a liiiiiittle bit OK with it.
Damian Wayne      Damian nods to Diana, as they had not been introduced. "I am Robin." He says, puffing his chest slightly.

That was before Robin's gauntlet computer pinged an alert. By that time, Batman was ready to go back to Gotham. "Affirmative." He answers before following Batman. Of course, crime doesn't stop for a party.
Carrie Kelley The alert goes out for Sparrow as well though she reaches up to tap the side of her mask to turn it off. With a curt nod she turns to follow after Batman and Robin not wasting a moment.
Clark Kent Superman laughs. "I'll be happy to have a chat with Steve," he assures Janet, "although Tony already agreed to let me visit his Mars base when he builds one, so I might be a better negotiator than I let on." He doesn't even bother with 'if' Stark builds a Mars base. Ever the optimist, he considers it just a matter of time. "I do think that networking is one of the things I'll be specializing in, so--"

He pauses as a distinct beeping calls Batman away from the event, giving the delegation of Gotham vigilantes a grave but encouraging look. "Best of luck to you," he says. He almost adds that they should call for help if they need it, but thinks better of it. Batman knows full well that he can call, and Superman knows full well that he won't.

He gives Donna a nod instead. "I'd like that," he answers. "I've had a front row seat to how your group is growing in Metropolis. You've been doing a great job. Thanks for looking after the city when I'm away -- which hopefully won't be happening again anytime soon."
Nadia Pym-van Dyne Nadia brightens again at Superman's news, perhaps even moreso than she had been initially, "That's great news! I really wasn't sure what to do when she was taken, I mean it was her Dad but she didn't want to go. That's a relief that she is safe." When Superman mentions shuttles she glances back in that direction, not that they can actually be seen. "That's neat! Maybe I'll have a look at one, I have a lot of ideas of my own though for designing one. I'm thinking of a fuel-less helical engine for in system propulsion and I have a few ideas to make a Warp Bubble viable for long distance travel but still need to do some calculations and testing." Talking about possible Science projects brightening her mood even more.

When Donna introduces her to Wonder Woman, Nadia offers her a bright smile, "Nice to meet you! Okay, sister yes, twin no, got it! Wow, Wonder Woman. I heard about you even in the place I was raised in captivity that I'm not supposed to talk about." she glances around for SHIELD agents.
Diana Prince Diana watches Batman rush off, along with Damian and Carrie. She waves as they go, before turning her stare back to Donna, and subsequently to Nadia. "Well hello." She "It is a pleasure to meet you. The Titans are a, ever rising, force to be reckoned with these days. They are growing into quite the heroic team." She glances back to her sister. "If you believe he would enjoy that, we should assuredly make it happen." She says, about sword training with their Amazonian blademaster. She raises her drink up to her lips to sip from it before showing a smile in Janet's direction. "How are things with the Avengers?" She asks the fashionista. "I have been away from them for awhile now, I need to reacquaint myself with their happenings."
Karen Starr     With a small nod, followed by a shake of her head, Karen dismisses the notion as best she can. "Hard to miss something you've only ever been once or twice. While this is has been a pretty stressful time, I really, honestly can't justify spending a few hours or so getting tipsy on an alien planet when there are that many refugees that still need food, shelter and medicine."

She offers this small sigh, placing her hands on her hips, and rolling her shoulders with little inflection aside from some direct resolution. "As it is, when I'm done here, I'm going back down. Can't leave tens of thousands of people in that condition for long."
Hal Jordan The Lantern nods, "That's fair. Just remember, for all the infinite energy of the sun, your mind needs rest sometime too. It's rare, but it's possible to give too much and burn yourself out. That sort of thing leads to resenting the people you meant to help. If you wanna refresh and recharge another way, do it, but don't forget to take care of yourself, so you have the energy and heart to give to the people that need us."

As for the booze...well, if she doesn't see fit to run off to an alien planet...he himself has the easiest time darting around space. It's the literal job. Maybe he can make a minor trip off planet to check on Washkey IV and a few other planets, and just bring goodies back with him.
Clark Kent Although his positive presence doesn't really dim, Superman's lips thin at Nadia's comment about Lorna's father. "Now that we're officially neighbors, I think one of my first priorities should be checking in on Magneto to see what, exactly, he's planning for his next move," he says. Notably, he frames this as a personal visit, rather than a Justice League action. It sounds like someone is as optimistic as ever: hoping that the situation with Magneto can be resolved without further escalation.

He moves on to a new topic quickly enough, suggesting, "If you want to do spaceflight experiments, Nadia, you should apply for access to the labs here. They're available for all kinds of scientific research, and you can do experiments here that wouldn't be possible in Earth's gravity well. The vetting process is quick, but...thorough." He glances in the direction the bat group just departed in significantly.

When Karen mentions going back down to Genosha, he looks in her direction and speaks in a conversational voice, trusting her hearing to pick him out from across the room. "Keep us apprised of the Genoshan situation, Power Girl. We can lend our shuttles to the resettlement effort, or offer other kinds of aid, if it's needed."
Karen Starr     Folding her arms again- something that is still, frankly, more than a little Not Okay- Karen gives Hal a more dismissive roll of her eyes than Bats got. A hallmark of the evening. "I've been at this for two decades, Lantern." that statement doesn't make a -whole- lot of sense, but she only lets Hal roll with it rather than rebutt. "I know how to pace myself. I also know that the aid we've been able to offer is only a fraction of what's needed, even if it's a sizeable one. I'd rather do too much, than not enough."

Her attention shifts, then, to Clark, and she nods. "Yeah. We delivered a cargo ship's worth of medicine, food, and pop-up shelter today, but there's always more to do. Having a fleet, however small, of shuttles to aid in any way they can won't hurt, even now." Despite that she's having a low conversation across the remaining crowd, she isn't really trying to hide it.
Donna Troy     "Hey it's /our/ city too, you know!" Donna tells Superman with a broad grin and a hint of faux-outrage. "Hopefully we won't be going away again any time soon either," she confesses a little more quietly. "But we will be spreading our wings wider too, if not perhaps quite as dramatically as..." she waves a hand around "...all this. We have the numbers to cover multiple events in mutliple cities at the same time now. Just... not Gotham. I couldn't take Batman glaring at me."

Donna sips her champagne, eyes on Nadia as she nerds out about spaceship propulsion with a look of fond amusement, and moves closer to Diana again. "Honestly, sister - I think Philippus would enjoy meeting him too. If it wasn't for the advantages of speed and strength I have... honestly, he's more skilled with a sword than I am. It's extraordinary."
Hal Jordan "...Well, I haven't, I've only been at this 2014, and my whole deal runs on willpower. Willpower can be another word for stubborn. So it's actually hard for me to pace myself, because I want to keep going until I literally run out of Will. Fortunately, there's hard limits on that with the recharges that my Ring requires, so I can't get too crazy with it. It's just as well the Ring drags me off planet every now and then to deal with the rest of the space sector...it at least keeps my job variable, and interesting. Did you know there's a planet where the sentients have 3 heads, 5 arms, and 4 legs? ...And I have to figure out how to play nicely with these beings?" Lanterns...have a lot on their plate.
Clark Kent "I'm not sure if it worked, but I did try to sneak a little bit of pressure into my speech," Superman says, again in Power Girl's direction. "All the transport capability in the world won't help if we don't have places for them to settle safely, and I don't want them to have to stay where they are any longer than they need to. Improvised shelter won't survive the rainy season in that region."

Donna's comment snaps his attention back, and he grins at her. "It is your city, and you've proven that in a big way recently. I'm sorry I was trapped offworld, but I'm glad you were there to keep an eye on things in my absence. If your members want to partner with the League in our international efforts, you've more than proven what a help you would be."
Karen Starr     Karen merely nods for a moment. Seeing that she's going to lose Clark's attention, she responds swiftly back, before letting the conversation rest for now. "I'll speak to some people. We have plenty of interested donors that could be sending aid Genosha's way. More than enough for the shipping we have."

Then, to Hal, there is a calming sigh. "Yeah. I wish it could say it gets a whole lot easier, but it's more like an endless ramp. But, trust me on this, I think you'll do fine. You just have to stick with it. Not that you weren't, but that's all you have to do."
Arthur Curry     Over his shoulder, the crowd might hear him shout, "Sisyphean!" Even as he tilts back a bottle of beer and sets it down heavily on the bar with a glassy clink. Then he turns and offers further insight, "Sisyphean."
That last word spoken as if it were the offering of the most gifted wisdom of some mountain-hermit wrapped up in his robes and dispensing insight with the aplomb of the ancient.
So Arthur gives a single nod to Karen and Hal. Points with the bottle as if he had proved a point. And then turns back to the bar.
Nadia Pym-van Dyne Nadia just sort of leans on Janet for the moment listening to all of the discussions around her and daydreaming about starship propulsion technologies. It is only when she goes to sip some of her cola and the straw comes up empty with that telltale slurping air noise that she snaps out of it and begins looking around for a refill.

She wanders back after acquiring another drink, realizing she never answered Superman about the Watchtower Labs, "I mean if you'll have me, there's not really all that much to know about me, it's just the classified bits that are a bit complicated, but I'm sure Batman has already uncovered it all or soon will since I'm standing here."
Donna Troy     Having finished her drink, Donna heads over to the bar to get herself another one, and finds herself standing next to Arthur. She raises her glass to him in greetings, and says with a grin "Hi. Troia, or Donna. I'm Diana's sister. It's not that complicated."

"Sysiphos though?" she shakes her head. "The legends don't tell the full story. They never do. The guy deserved everything he got, to be honest. He really was a massive jerk."
Clark Kent "The vetting process is mainly a question of whether the person in question is going to sabotage the station, or turn supervillain on us," Superman explains to Nadia with a smile. "It's a more common problem than you might think." He promises, "I can make sure your name is put into the running, at least."

Reluctantly leaving the close conversational group that has gathered around him, he returns to the podium and says to the assembled group, "Everyone, I'm afraid that brings us to the end of the celebration. Thank you all for joining us; once you finish your drinks and your food, the hosts and hostesses will be happy to guide you back to the teleporter pads and send you back home. But before that, I'd just like to join you all in one last toast."
