Marie-Ange Colbert It's the typical day in New York City, and that means Times Square is as busy as ever.. though Marie prefers it that way. There's just something... uniquely *American* about the hustle and bustle that one sees in places like this, which is probably a big reason that she invited Mary out to Planet Herowood. That, and frankly? She wanted to show off the brunette; she's *proud* of their relationship, and just pleased as punch to be able to just... go out and be a girl, without having to worry about the world ending next week or anything too crazy like that.
Mary Bromfield And Mary is totally happy to be shown off, as she walks hand in hand with Marie, grinning over at the redhead as she looks very happy. New semester started for school, Jenny actually LIKES her (always a plus to have your girlfriend's BFF approve), and the internship at the Planet is going smashingly.

So she grins at the kitschy restaurant, and laughs a little, "Man, there's no Thunderbolt and Tarot stuff up yet? I'm disappointed." She winks at Marie with that, then actually leans in and gives her a slight peck on the cheek, "But I love it. Good choice for dinner."
Marie-Ange Colbert Indeed; Jenny's opinion holds a lot, a *lot* of sway with Marie. Just below the cards, which have also approved of her entanglement with Mary, but definitely way up there. The little peck draws a light coloring to Marie's cheek, who leads the pair to a nearby booth to settle down. It's a four-seater, but that's also the smallest option available in the restaurant! It's only upon their arrival that she releases Mary's hand and moves to sit, allowing Mary the choice of next to or across from.

"I would not be surprised at all to see Thunderbolt represented here sooner than later. She is... how you say... tres magnifique!" There's a knowing look in Marie's eyes as she says that. The redhead herself is far... less... of a public figure than the brunette is, only acting when fate calls her. "But I am happy you approve. I was not sure, but.. I do love it here."
Mary Bromfield Mary grins, "Actually, Billy and Freddy /insist/ that we come here whenever possible. They love it... me, I'm okay with it. But honestly, it grows on you." She sits down across from Marie, because 1) less awkward, 2) she can get a better view of the girl she's dating, and 3) she can rest her head in her hand and lean forward a bit, smiling as she looks at Marie.

"Well, maybe someday... frankly, I'm just happy to be having a paid internship at the Planet. I mean, not that I minded managing the coffee shop, but I didn't want to be doing that for my career, you know?" She smiles warmly at Marie, "And how's life in the apartment with you and Jenny? It's been a bit with everything being so crazy, I didn't want you to think I'd have forgotten about you." She smiles, "Because, well, that's just impossible."

Oh yes, Mary is smitten. Smit level is High.
Marie-Ange Colbert "I wish I would have known! We could have invited them," Oh, poor, naive Mary. She who really doesn't have a huge grasp on romance... but she certainly tries, if nothing else! "...but I am hardly opposed to a day with just the two of us. Truly, anywhere I go with you is simply wonderful, oui?" She asks, smiling fondly at the brunette.

"Oui, I can understand very well. I felt very much the same when it came to... the Burger Shack. It provided a little extra money, oui, but... it is not what I wished to do for life. Even though the shakes were wonderful." Marie offers, shrugging just a bit. "The new apartment is wonderful! Thank you again for helping us move. We have been well, and... do not apologize. With college starting for me as well, and the demands of my own work..." She's helping out at the Institute, though hasn't come right out and said too much more than that. "It has been most hectic. But I have certainly longed to see your face once more."

Mary's not the only one smitten! No, Marie's right there too; and perhaps more important? She's *comfortable* with Mary. It allows her to speak a bit more freely than she otherwise would.
Mary Bromfield Mary smiles, "Yeah, I'm looking forward to visiting your place, a lot." She gets a bit of an impish grin, "And hey, you can meet the whole family later. But right now, I want you all to myself Marie." She nods, "And well, anyplace I go with you just is the best place."

She chuckles, "I... I mean, you're just so comfortable for me to be with and the person I want to talk to about, well, everything. Even if it's just something like my gaming stuff that means I'll be spending a half-hour explaining it." She smiles warmly, "I love explaining that stuff to you, and it feels like I haven't bored you to death /yet/ with it..."
