Victor Von Doom Having received Valeria's request, Victor replied with a message for a time that she could stop by the Latverian embassy to come and speak with him. Upon her arrival, Doombots will escort her up to the Dictator's personal chambers while the few human staff all bow their heads respectfully to her as she passes.

As for Victor, he stands in his trademark armor, staring out at a window, hands clasped together behind his back. Nearby sits an easel with a partially painted portrait of a woman, though it's still in its early stages so no distinguishable features can be made out. When the doors open, he turns and speaks. "A pleasant day to you, Goddaughter." He gestures towards a desk and a chair sitting in front of it. "Please sit, and know that I am proud that you are creating clever ways to utilize your Doombot, or should I call it a Valeriabot now? Continue to hone your mind and nothing will be impossible for you."

He moves over to the desk and takes a seat in the large chair behind it, steepling his hands before him in one of his trademark poses.
Valeria Richards Valeria is garbed in the same unstable molecule costume her parents wear usually, the white 4 on the center of her chest prominent. Sometimes it's a 6, or a 7 or whatever, for a little while, but marketing likes the 4 so the 4 is what it is most of the time, regardless of how many members the group has actually become. She effectively ignores the bowing and scraping, though less in the 'I don't want to see this' way and more as just an acceptance of this being her due as she moves through the embassy, joining her godfather in his suite.

She takes the offered seat, a grin on her face. "Thank you, Godfather. There was a change made and my filters stopped being as effective, so I was suddenly treated with several messages from the unclean masses," and she rolls her eyes. "So I felt putting my new friend to good use would be helpful in making a salient point." Her expression flattens. "The filters are fixed now, so I shouldn't have their unwanted attention forced on me any longer." She perks up some at that.

"But I do have a request for you, Godfather... if you're willing to entertain it. In truth, it comes from another, but I find myself, after learning of this request, also wanting to see it handled."
Victor Von Doom A slight groaning sound escapes Victor as she brings up the pictures. "Indeed. One finds it hard to imagine why young men would try to woo ladies with such things." He shakes his head. "I am pleased you've fixed your filters, though I wasn't lying in my public statement about what I will do should I ever come across the identity of any of these peathetic fools." He gives a firm nod and decides it might be time to move on from that particular matter, he sits and listens as she talks about her request.

"Interesting, a request made by another, but one that you found interesting enough to come to me. Well, you know there is very little I would deny you, Valeria. Please, tell me of this request and I will see what assistance I can offer you and your friend."
Valeria Richards Valeria looks smug a moment. "You aren't the only one who has similar inclinations. And I may have..." she looks all too innocent for a moment, "forwarded the address of a particularly egregious one to someone to handle." Though she seems content to drop the matter after that, as well.

"Yes, Godfather." She sits up straight. "It has come to my attention that my friend Nadia was once a captive of a program referred to as 'The Red Room', and there is reason to believe they may wish to reacquire her." She frowns. "This was brought to me by Vivian. She is an artificial intelligence, one that I like. She expressed concerns and asked if I had information on this Red Room, or if I could find it, and, if lacking that, if you might-- as you know everything, Godfather." She pauses. "Or have access to someone who will."
Victor Von Doom "She is the one who asked for my autograph, yes?" Leave it to Doom to remember someone who gave him lots of praise and asked for an autograph. Still mention of the Red Room being the threat to Nadia, he leans forward. "There's not much I can tell you about it specifically, there were only ever rumors of such a place in Latveria when it was under the thumb of the Soviet Union. Rumors involving Soviet assassins, and let me tell you those are true enough. It was their last ditch effort to stop the people of Latveria from rising up to free themselves from their oppression."

His eyes crinkle slightly behind his mask. "The Soviets were the first to underestimate the will of Doom. As for anything further, if you are looking for a lot of concrete information there are probably files stored within American intelligence services. It wasn't long after Latverian independence was earned that the Soviets collapsed and I turned my attentions towards the Fantastic Four."

His fingers begin tapping against one another. "Regarding your friend, if you are concerned for her safety, I can provide you with a device that will dispatch several Doombots to your location to offer protection. You may wish to keep her housed within Four Freedoms until this has all sorted itself out. Or if it is truly dire, she can stay here. I welcome any foreigner to try and step foot upon Latverian soil with hostile intentions."
Valeria Richards "I'll pass that along," Valeria notes, nodding as her Godfather explains what he does know and makes his offers of protection. "And if she does choose to come to Four Freedoms, I might just... not tell Mom about potential pending Doombots." There's a hint of amusement on her lips. "We'll call it a surprise."

"And yes, she is the one who wanted your autograph. She's great. It's so nice to have people around that aren't completely moronic. I don't know how you and Dad did it all these years, surrounded by the empty-minded and foolish."
Victor Von Doom With a nod, Victor reaches over and pulls open a drawer. After a moment of searching, he places a small device with a button on it. "You will have to press hard upon it, to prevent accidental deployment, but here you are." He slides it across the desk and over to her.

"It's good to have someone you can try to compete against. Your father and I have battled wits many times and it helps to keep me ahead of him. Perhaps Nadia can help push you along to continue to work to better yourself." He reaches up and taps his head. "Being born with an incredible brain is one thing, using it to it's full potential is another. There are many highly intelligent people out there who become lazy and waste their intellect. I never want to see such a thing happen to you, Valeria."
Valeria Richards "Godfather, you should know I would never do that," Valeria responds evenly. "I may be bored... like, all the time... but I'd never be //lazy//. That's just wasteful." She huffs slightly.
Victor Von Doom "Good! Now, do you have anything else you'd like to talk about or would you like to go back to further customizing your Valeriabot?" Victor chuckles lightly. "Keep your friend safe, and if you ever need my help, you only need to reach out."
Valeria Richards "No, that's it... and really, I should get back home before Mom realizes I've left. Technically I'm still grounded," she replies with a scowl. "I mean, I've bypassed the lockdowns, obviously, but you know Mom."
Victor Von Doom "Grounded?" Victor blinks. "Well, Susan is very protective of you. Have you tried to sit down and talk with her? I know she is quick to defend both you and your brother, but she's a woman of reason as well. Offer to talk things over, and I'm sure you will regain your freedom soon enough."
Valeria Richards Valeria doesn't comment on that, though she does wrinkle her nose. She's not volunteering why she's grounded, because frankly, Doom is more likely to side with Sue than her on this subject.
