Wilson Fisk A charity event, the day after another one would be bad form, in a typical sense. But four days ago, one of Fisk Enterprises building down in Bangladesh burned to the ground due to faulty wiring and a failure of safety protocols. So, that was covered out of pocket. Fisk Enterprises replaced the factory, paid anyone injured or anyone that perished lifetime wages to the families; they took care of their people.

This was a charity event in name alone, no funds being raised, but it was to show the world, to educate the world on the dangers of sweatshops, unsafe working conditions. On why Wilson Fisk is pushing to help unions across this country, the way his own workers have done so, it leads to a safe and happy workforce.

The theme of the evening is the Jungle Upton Sinclair; the place had been made to look up like a meat factory. That look of turn of the century, horrors, proving to the world the end for unions, given the tragic events he wanted everyone to feel it. Too hot in here, too much motion in the dim lights, wanting each person to know what it is like in a dim light factory, working till they passed out.

All of the food is well-crafted vegan, of course, open bar and pamphlets, literature for those that wished to educate themselves. But, sitting at a table in the corner is the host drinking a scotch, with few vegan ribs in front of him, his eyes watching the crowd.
Elektra Natchios Contrasting to the event Elektra had attended recently she was a lot more dressed-down on this one. Business casual. Dark grey pants with high heels, a white shirt and a jacket. Not exactly very feminine but she liked to go off the mold from time to time... And this was a much more casual gather anyway. Still, one thing that was common to both nights was that silver ring on her finger, symbols about it, a goat face stamped on it.

She wanders in with a smile on her lips, hands in her pockets, used to these kind of gatherings and to blend in with the crowd and the people ... A very perfect poker face to the woman that lies underneath the 'curtain'.

Her steps lead her first to the event organizer, as is proper, taking strides to come close to Fisk. "We meet again, Mr. Fisk. How do you do?" She offers.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde had met up with a friend in the city who had tickets to the charity event. The pair of young women walk in together, Kitty in a skirt and blouse, hair in a ponytail, while her friend wore a nice dress. The friend says, "Oh wow I can't wait to load up on some good food." Kitty laughs and shakes her head. "Don't forget it's for a cause too," she laughs.

The friend's pocket buzzes and she pulls out her phone. "Oh shoot, that's work. They need me to come in," she says with a sigh as she taps a text back. Kitty looks disappointed but nods. "Sure, sometimes when you gotta go, you gotta go," she says. She gives her a friend a hug before the other girl heads out, leaving Kitty to look around.

Kitty goes over to grab some finger food from the buffet, just a snack for now rather than getting a whole plate. She picks up a drink with a friendly smile to the waiter and then goes over to look at some of the literature about the sweatshops. "Fisk Enterprises is the host?" she asks one of the people working. "Yes ma'am. That's the CEO over there at that table, Wilson Fisk."
Luke Cage Luke shows up waaaay dressed down compared to the other night. Is he really in jeans and a yellow t-shirt with a black jacket? Yup. He looks around a moment when he spies Kitty whom he knows already. "Look who it is..." he greets as he arrives at her side.

"Another day another event. I dont know how people do this all the time." Luke adds leaning in quietly to teen Mutant.
Wilson Fisk "Ms. Natchios twice in twenty-four hours, I'm very blessed. I'm doing very well. How does this evening find you?" Mr. Fisk slides to his feet, offering his large mitt towards her, dressed in what could be called steampunk, tight work shirt, with a pair of leather gloves. His pants are simple jeans, equally stained as his hand waves around the room, as he nods slowly.

As he is speaking with Elektra, a short man best-called ferret looking man, by action and dead. Long red hair, tied back in a man-bun, starts towards Mr. Fisk."I have a donation to the cause, Mr. Fisk. It is from Williams Industries."

Mr. Fisk looks down at the shorter small man, as he smiles, placing his hand on the new arrival's shoulder."I ask anyone to wishing to donate instead educate themselves, read The Jungle, or any of the pamphlets if one does not have the time, to devour a classic. We need to end the hellish work conditions of the poor of the world, keep them safe, well paid, able to support themselves and their families. That is more powerful than any of our money can be used; if we are to fix it first, we have to fix our minds, good Mr. Williams ." With that, Mr. Williams moves to a table, looking offended, but grabbing some of the pamphlets to appear to care."

With that he is watching the room, as it is so hot, as his hand slides down to his tie to loosen it slightly, as he shakes his head. His eyes on Elektra with a little chuckle, as he lifts that scotch once more to his lips with a content little sip."Sorry about that, everyone thinks money will save the world, but it is human nature that needs to be fixed, our thoughts on the haves and the have-nots."
Elektra Natchios With the offer for a handshake Elektra certainly returns it, smaller hand shaking Fisk's firmly. "So it is. I was surprised this was happening in the area, I have been finding myself about it more and more often as of late." a faint smile then creasing her lips even if not her eyes. "A return to the origins, so to say."

Dark eyes then roam the rest of the room, taking in the occupants, a brow quirked while Williams and Fisk interact.. She speaks once the man leaves. "You have taken an interest on Hell's Kitchen?" She then asks. "It is not a place where many would consider a good investment. "And money, ahhh, it does help solve so many problems though..."

She does note a familiar face on the crowd... And how could she not considering it's such a large man too? She calls out. "Luke Cage? Two events on a row? Careful, one may think you are starting to take a liking to these." her tone mildly amused.

Eyes do slide over Kitty who is near him but for now she doesn't seem to have recognized her.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde's eyes move over towards Wilson Fisk as the woman points him out. Though after a brief look at him, it is Elektra that holds Kitty's gaze. Her memory is cast back to a night where the dark was full of ninjas and air full of smoke from a burning warehouse. And the dark-haired woman who removed her mask after a close escape.

Before Kitty can decide whether to go over though, a familiar voice speaks from beside her. The girl turns and spots the even more familiar form of one enormous Luke Cage. "Luke!" she says, voice carrying how pleasant of a surprise it is to see him. She grins and tosses her arms around him to greet the large man with a tight hug, if a short one.

"Another event? You've been doing a lot of these then?" she asks. Her memory is tugged and she says, "Oh, the Avengers hosted one. Did you manage to snag tickets to that? Was way too pricey for me," she says with a sigh. "But I'd have loved dressing up for it."

As Elektra speaks up, Kitty's one eyebrow lifts just slightly, surprised to find Luke is acquainted with the woman, but the expression passes quickly. She stays silent so Luke can greet the woman.
Luke Cage Luke Cage nods to Elektra and smiles slightly, "Like these? I think I looked uncomfortable enough noone will make that mistake." he points out rather simply. "Do you know Kitty?" he asks gesturing to the young woman beside him.

"I actually snagged an invite? Apparently Power Man is going to be a thing?" Luke responds with a chuckle, as if the idea of a superhero name is still odd to him.
Wilson Fisk "Indeed, Ms. Natchios, I will be helping out with Hell's Kitchen, trying to run after school programs, to show them a better way can be found. I grow up here, and I wish to bring safety and education to my childhood stomping grounds. Still waiting to hear back from the two I have hired to take over the project." Mr Fisk nods slowly, his eyes on the new arrival as she is coming in with Luke, as his eyes move over to the rest of the room." Yes, it solves many things, but one should not destroy lives to pursue it over human life is not the goal for me. This very event exists, for I paid a man lots of money to fix up and factory, he submitted false records, and now he committed suicide, and his son has to pick up some pricey debts. I wish no more lives to be crushed inside of the macchiatos of capitalist goals."

As Luke speaks to Elektra, as he moves forward, offering his large hand towards both of them, with a little smile."Welcome to my event; my name is Wilson Fisk; it is lovely to meet you both." His eyes moving over Luke's and then over Kitty's with a little chuckle."I hope you help me dine, there is too much food for a doggie bag, and I enjoy it. But, I can't gain much more weight, my doctor would lock me up." His hand is rubbing over his form, with a little belly chuckle, enjoying the mirth one of those infectious good-natured laughs.
Elektra Natchios "I did not know you had grown up here. What a small world ..." Elektra muses at Wilson, her amusement only growing at that. "Not that I am, mind you.." in fact, she didn't even know where she was *from*. As Wilson goes about his plans and how he views the world she only smiles, "Yet you must have had those capitalist goals to reach the point you have in your life so far. A successful one from what I gather. I am glad you have decided to share some of that. You do have so much to share afterall..."

Her attention then falls on Luke and Kitty, "It's all a matter of practice, Luke. And the more you get known .., well..." she gestures around. "Welcome to being a celebrity." the young woman with him, now that they are closer does make Elektra watch her more attentively. "We have not met, no. One of Luke's friends?" she asks.

Regardless, she extends one hand to Kitty for a shake.
Kitty Pryde Kitty smiles over to Elektra as Luke names her for the other woman. "Hello, very nice to meet you. I'm Kitty," Kitty says, hand extended to Elektra. "Yes, ran into him at his business one time and struck up a conversation. I was worried about him back when the alien stuff was going on. And who would you be?" she asks, curious to get a name to go with the unmasked face, perhaps to seek her out later.

To Luke, the young woman says, "Well great, I'm glad you're getting out from behind the bar. And... Power Man?" she asks, though she looks like she's willing to wait and ask him about that later. She still hasn't managed to pick up on Luke's celebrity within Harlem, clearly.

As Wilson Fisk enters the conversation, Kitty gives him a bright smile. "Hello. Kitty," she says, offering her hand to him as well. "This is a great cause to draw attention to, sir. Thank you for taking the time and effort to do so," the nineteen year old tells Wilson Fisk. "And sure, I'd love to join you." She looks to Luke and then Elektra to see if they are going to take Wilson Fisk up on his invitation as well. Kitty laughs and waves a hand towards Wilson. "Just a good walk home instead of a car ride and there'll be room for another bite or two. Unless you live up in Connecticut or something," she says with a good-natured laugh.
Luke Cage Luke Cage follows along with Kitty in response to the invite, "Yeah Power Man, Superman was taken." he jests a bit. "Kitty and I were fortunate to run into each other. Small world and all that...and to think, she actually worried about me?" he teases her a bit with a glance to Elektra.

Then to Fisk, "Its nice you are trying to help, not alot in your position would or do...rich people dont tend to get rich giving money away other than as tax write offs."
Wilson Fisk "Indeed, but there is much wealth to share, something is amazing about helping those around us." Mr. Fisk as he looks over at Elektra with a little chuckle, as his eyes locked on to hers."My past goals are not the same as the goals today, maybe a lifetime of chasing the wrong things lead to these, or maybe you make that much so you can give back, the chicken or the egg, of course. But, now I have a new goal, and I will execute it with the same passion, I have everything else in my life."

Looking over at Kitty, as he chuckles softly, another of those bellies."Indeed, it is a pleasure to meet you, Kitty. Also, one has to stand by their principles to make the world a better place, if one can devote the time and energy. I'm granted that luxury, so I will give it back to the world, starting with Hell's Kitchen, then the Harlem, and the Bronx. We will save this city, or I will go bankrupt trying." As she speaks of the walking home, there is a little chuckle from his lips as his hand is resting on his belly's center."I don't think I wish to walk; that is a waste of time, due to the energy needed for this project and my own business."

Looks over at Mr Cage."That is because they are cowards, good sir, cowards that think by educating and rewarding the masses, somehow they will grow poorer. Education is a gift that all should be allowed to have if they wish it." As he takes another long sip of his scotch, with a second chuckle now, in good spirits.
Elektra Natchios "It's not many that need or do worry about Luke once they know he is." Being bulletproof may help in that! Elektra does offer a grin, looking at Kitty when she asks for a name. "Elektra. Elektra Natchios." she replies, dipping her head just so in a greeting to the girl.

The offer to join for food makes her look around the tables, "May as well. Anything in particular you would suggest?" this she asks of the host of the party.

"You almost sound as if you are trying to run for City Mayor, Mr. Fisk."
Kitty Pryde Kitty flashes a grin to Luke. "Well, you would look good in a cape," she tells him with a laugh, still apparently not picking up on there being anything beyond normal humanity about Luke.

She seems to agree with Luke's comment to Wilson. "That's very inspiring talk, Mr. Fisk," Kitty tells him, smiling to the man. "I do hope that you succeed in it. So many problems in the world, we could use more people willing to give so much of themselves to try to fix them. Is there a list somewhere I can sign up for any more of your events like this?" she asks.

The greeting from Elektra is returned with a warm, "Very nice to meet you, Elektra." Kitty then moves over to join the rest at the table. "Mmm, it smells delicious," she says. "Yes, I could use some suggestions as well if anyone has them."
Wilson Fisk "I adore the ribs, but I'm biased made myself." A soft chuckle is escaping the lips of Mr. Fisk, as he looks between Kitty and Elektra, with a rumble of pleasure escaping his lips."Now, then running for mayor sounds exciting, amazing, and exhausting. But I will think about it, Miss. Natchios, not something I have given much thought to besides, helping out where I can."

As Mr. Fisk is taken aside to speak with another few people come over, as he talks to them quietly, checks not taken once again. Still, they walk to the table with the pamphlets again to pick them up, with a little chuckle as he steps up to the group again.

"Issues in the world, just need to be addressed, and focused on, we had to hide our heads in the sand for too long." Mr. Fisk sighs softly, watching the room, as his hand is gestures to the pack room."As long as they refuse, change, watch, or see it, nothing will change. But you can lead the horse to water, does not mean it will sip."
Elektra Natchios "Oh, I am certain you will." Some amusement showing on Elektra's expression about Fisk considering going for Mayor. She takes a step to the side to follow the suggestion for the ribs. Might as well try them! So she begins getting a small plate prepared. Nothing much..

Which is when Fisk walks off to talk with someone, her eyes again going to Kitty, "Do you live here in Hell's Kitchen, Kitty? Or perhaps in Harlem.." Since she does know Luke. And while there is quite the sharpness to her business suit right now her demeanor is quite gentle. Contrasting deeply with the first time they met out at that warehouse.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde seems to take the advice as well, getting some of the ribs and then adding a few other things to the plate. Getting a little taste of everything. "Mmm, it looks delicious," she says, turning to Elektra to answer her. "No, I mostly stay outside of the city in Westchester. Though I have friends I stay with in the city a fair amount. Make a day or two trip to the city instead of fighting traffic," she tells Elektra. "I'm working part time as a guidance counselor at my old school at the moment. Though still deciding if I want to seek a job in the city."

Kitty adds some steamed vegetables to her plate and asks, "What about yourself, Elektra? Are you living in the area? I was curious, if you don't mind me asking, about your ethnicity. You have such a beautiful, exotic look to you. Just love it," Kitty says brightly.

She reaches up to pat Luke on the back. "I don't know how many ribs it takes to keep you sated, but you can steal from my plate if needed," she teases. Her eyes go back to Wilson Fisk as he rejoins them. "So Mr. Fisk, what industry is your company in?"
Wilson Fisk "There are so many industries that Fisk Enterprises touches, if you wish to find out, I can lie it out. If you wish to know more, there is an internship position opening up soon; we need someone to help out with the saving Hell's Kitchen project. You mentioned school, what are you trying to get your degree in Kitty?" Mr. Fisk watches the girls, as he sighs softly as he sits back down at his table, watching as they load up on food. His glass is refilled with that amber scotch as he sips it slowly. "Maybe, I shall do that next election, would you help me campaign Miss. Natchios?"
Elektra Natchios "What type of job would you consider seeking, Kitty?" Elektra inquires, now nibbling on a rib, her hip resting against the side of a table. The smile is still there, but now more faint. And at the question about her ethnicity she lifts a brow, amused. "Thank you." she replies, "And I have Greek ascendancy, my father was the former Greek Ambassador here in New York." she explains, gesturing with one hand. "I never spent much time in Greece though but I have travelled the world enough."

Dark gaze then shifts back to Wilson when he asks about the campaign. "If you are serious about the matter, mayhaps I will. But one should always be careful on not getting their hands on too many pies. Even if it's for the greater good."
Kitty Pryde Kitty takes a seat at the table once her plate has a bit of food on it, not overdoing it, but getting a little bit of everything to taste. The answer from Elektra gets a smile from Kitty. "That must have been quite a life, growing up a diplomat's child. Seeing a lot of the world I imagine," she says warmly.

In her seat, Kitty takes a napkin, opening it and setting it in her lap atop her skirt. The questions about employment from Elektra and Wilson Fisk cause Kitty's head to give a little sway to the side, pony-tail bobbing. "Well, actually," she says with just a touch of hesitance, as if modest about the part that comes next. "I graduated early and went to Oxford. Finished up last spring then. Degrees in English Literature, and Computer Engineering," she says. Not just programming, but the actual design of computer components. "Which I realize seems like an odd pairing. Just went where my interests led," she says.

Kitty picks up her fork, pausing a moment in thought. "I've been debating if I wanted to do grad school, or find a job full time. Helping out at my old school has helped fill the gaps while I've been undecided. But, I would be interested in hearing about your opportunities, Mr. Fisk. I could give you my information to set something up at your convenience?"
Wilson Fisk "Indeed, I shall do that." Mr Fisk slides his phone out slowly as he looks over at Kitty to get her number. A black business card is handed to the girl with a little chuckle, as he shakes his head."If your that driven, I will find work for you, Kitty."

"Indeed, Miss. Natchios, I will think about it, but it seems like a logical next step." Mr. Fisk stands up as he notices a group of men, as he grins at the others."Now to make my rounds, thank you both for the pleasant evening, now to do the painful rubbing elbows, with those that are not quite human." With that, he is moving into the party, greeting and make those not lovely rounds, through the world of the political and business allies.
Elektra Natchios "It was ..., different.." And maybe not even in the way Kitty thinks, considering all the killing... "I do not have another to measure it with, but I can't complain too much. I am still here afterall." and that does sound like quite the accomplishment from her tone of voice. "There is much marvel out in the world though, and having been able to see some of it has blessed me."

A carefully-trimmed brow then arches at Kitty about her degrees. "Quite the genius. Or perhaps you are older than you look. Which could also be a blessing." she says, some approval on her tone.

"And of course. Do be well, Mr. Fisk. I should be on my way as well." She announces. "If you are serious about running for Mayor do let me know." a faint grin on her expression before she looks at Luke and Kitty. "I am sure I will be seeing you both around. Maybe I will have to go by your bar again one of these nights." and with that she begins her way out of the party, adjusting her jacket.
