Owner Pose
Helena Bertinelli The onset of evening brings a little bit of rain in GOTHAM CITY, and overhead thunder threatens some heavier drops. The business district was quite a mess of traffic only a short time ago, but it is dying away quickly as people exit their local businesses. The purple and black HUNTRESS has been watching one particular building for a short time from across the street, at an older, less sophisticated building, maybe taking note of the movements of the people inside. The building in question is a nondescript eastside facility for Waste Management Inc, which everybody knows is a front for THE MOB. Little known fact.

"I think it's garbage day," Huntress mutters as she narrows her eyes through her binoculars. "Beetle? Spoiler?" she asks over her lil cowl intercom thingie, "Are you guys in position? I'm ready to head over to the building. I can see the elevator shed so we'll need to break it open and get inside," she explains. Huntress straightens up and jumps to the next building, circling around to the Waste Management building.
Ted Kord Ted Kord rolls his eyes. "Why does that girl have to do everything the hard way?" Covered with clouds from a fog generator the Bug hovers silently. The Blue Beetle grabs a pry bar, sends his pilot seat backwards and descends on a line to the roof, trailing wisps of fake fog behind him. Once on the building the line retracts and the Bug floats some distance away at a silent signal.

Wearing a blue trench coat over his usual costume, pry bar on one shoulder he saunters over to the elevator shed and the Huntress. "You called for a crowbar milady?" he whispers.
Stephanie Brown The sound of Spoiler comes over the comms system. << Just... about... ready... >> After a brief pause she can be heard muttering, << .. and the lingering impression I took away from Picasso's work was a sense of joy that I never... thought... I would find... from art. >> She probably didn't mean them to hear that. At the slow pace she was talking, it sounded more like she was thinking aloud while writing.

<< Ok I am ready to go. Meet you there >> Spoiler puts away her now-finished paper for HUM 101 - Art Appreciation, hoping it survives the evening. As long as it's legible she can always recopy it.

Spoiler takes a quick look around, making sure there isn't any one to see her below, and then back up a bit. She sprints at the edge of the roof, extending her bo staff and burying the tip at the edge around the roof to pole vault and cover the distance of the extra wide alley below. She lands lightly retracting the staff and returning it to her utility belt as she moves over to join the others.
Helena Bertinelli The double doors to the elevator maintenance shed stand like a monument in the middle of the rooftop. It's a little bit windy on the roof and that blows around the rain, which seems to annoy the crap out of the HUNTRESS as she lands on the roof, her zip line whipping quietly back into place.

Huntress puffs some rain off her nose and looks up at the spirited Spoiler as she bounds over, "He's here, using the office on the 12th. He thinks he's being smart palling around with a shithead like Rosalino, but he doesn't fool us," she says with a smirk, lumping the two of them conveniently into her thinking, "He leaves shortly. Should be easy enough to surprise his dumb ass, right?" she asks, then points at the double doors, "Can you get these open, Beetle?"
Ted Kord Ted Kord looks over the doors, scratching his head with the pry bar. "Looks doable. Stand back, I have a double MA." He inserts the tip of the bar in quietly and then bears against it with all his weight. The doors begin to part, slowly. "I'm not hung up on doing it all myself ladies," he gasps still opening the doors very slowly. "Work with me here and we get out of this rain..." He gives a weak smile as he continues attacking the reluctant door, getting it open wide enough for a person to squeeze through.

"What happens after we surprise him?" he gasps.
Stephanie Brown Stephanie Brown's blond hair where it can spills out of her mask and hood, is getting soaked by the steadily falling rain. "Seriously, can't bad guys stick to good weather just now and then?" she grumbles. Though it's a good-natured grumble. She's out on a mission, doing something to make a positive difference. A little rain isn't a big deal for Stephanie beside that.

As Ted is using the crowbar on the door and working to muscle it open, a second item slides over into the gap. Spoiler's metallic bo staff. She puts her weight into it, helping him force it open. "And what's the plan if he has some guards. Just take them down and nab him?" she asks as for the second time she collapses the staff and returns it to her utility belt. Such a handy thing.
Helena Bertinelli STAB THEM! KICK THEM IN THE BALLS! "Uhh, well I'm sure tying them up in the elevator will be fine. We just want a few words with the man. In private. You and I can handle the guards, right?" Huntress asks dangerously. STAB STAB. Thunder rumbles as if on cue and Huntress looks up at the heavens annoyedly, "Not sure but I don't think it's stopping," she says sarcastically.

"Good job, that works," she notes as she looks over the double doors, squeezing through first so she can jump down on top of the elevator, which is sitting at a random floor near the top of the building. The long, elevator CHASM is eerie and dark, "Okay, Beetle, you can grab him right?" she mutters quietly, and only a few moments pass before the elevator stops at the 12th floor, and a short man and a second man enter the elevator car. They can be seen through the little vent thing at the top. Of course, the man with the silk tie and the briefcase seems important.
Ted Kord Ted Kord looks down before dropping onto the roof of the car lightly. Hey Batman bitches at you long enough you. learn a few things. The vent grate is no substantial affair. The Beetle sinks his fingers into it and pulls it up quietly. As he reaches in and down there is an unholy grin on his face. His hands stab down. The shoulders of the fine jacket are seized and Johnny is yeeted out of the car so suddenly there's barely a sound. In fact his pal is fiddling with his lighter and quite unaware for the moment as Johnny is thrown against a wall and a gun stuck in his mouth. "Shhhh..."
Stephanie Brown Spoiler grabs the cable and nimbly slides down on it until she can step onto the elevator roof quietly. She moves over to the side to allow Ted Kord plenty of room to work. When he makes his move and opens up the hatch, one of Spoiler's hands goes to her utility belt, but she doesn't act, seeing if Ted can pull off the snatch quietly.

As he seems to have done so, Spoiler quietly closes the hatch again and then turns to Johnny. A gag goes into his mouth and his wrists are quickly zip-tied to make him easier to handle. She looks back up to the top of the elevator shaft, pulling out her grapple gun and looking to the others, letting Huntress give the word.
Helena Bertinelli The man inside the elevator finally lights up his cigarette on the fifth try and then frowns as he glances to the side, suddenly surprised that he's alone. He turns about, probably upset that it's not one of those mirrored elevators. He whaps the buttons a couple times and immediately gets off at the next floor, "Won't take him long..." she mutters quietly after the doors close again.

Huntress glances at Johnny, "Miss me?" she asks with a smirk. The man narrows his eyes and says something briefly under gag, probably calling her a not-nice name. She then takes the zip line back to the top of the roof, walking back out where they were, "Dump his ass over here. Shorter time than I wanted but it's fine, right?"
Ted Kord Ted Kord shrugs depositing Johnny where the Huntress indicates. "Imma look up them words he said. I have a hunch 'putana diavolo' isn't nice. Want me to get the Bug?" As e speaks he retrieves his pry bar and uses it to jam the roof entrance shut. "That pry bar cost me $26 but you're worth it, Hun." He listens at the door a moment but hears nothing yet.
Stephanie Brown Spoiler shoots her grapple gun up to the top of the shaft, the winch pulling her up her line until she can climb back out onto the roof. She follows Ted over to the door and nods as he wedges it closed. "Sorry about that. Figured you got him clean and I'd leave him wondering," she says, shaking her head as if upset at herself.

She goes over to the man then, looking to Huntress and removing the gag from him so she can interrogate him. The rain lashes down from above, soaking the man's clothing and dripping down his face, the cold just adding to the misery for him.
Helena Bertinelli Huntress pops her cute lil crossbow into her hand, a mini version of the usual badass piece weapon she usually carries. She hovers over the man and smirks, "We're gonna say this one time, assface. I don't need to spell it out to you like a damn movie script. This is our frickin city, got it? You comin in here doesn't scare me. But it pisses me off, that's for sure," she tells him, leaning over him so she can point the weapon at him closely as Spoiler removes the gag.

The man starts chuckling, "Yeah? Well you're gonna be really ticked soon cause I had everything set up before I even stepped into this piece of shit city. I got more partners than you'll ever have," he says, as he looks between Ted and Spoiler, "Maybe I'll get some info on these two, huh? Your pals? Remember Helena, I never forget a face. Perfect memory. Photographic, I think. You're all goin down. All of you," he says to them, and Huntress glances at Spoiler.
Ted Kord Ted Kord bends down to Johnny and says, "Theodore. Steven. Kord. Of Kord Co. Seriously there's a Wikipedia on me and everything... I mean Kord Co even uses your crappy waste disposal services ere in Gotham or did. that's about a $15 mill a year contract. It just went pfft. Try suing me. I have lawyers feed punks like you too. As for dirt... I wish there was dirt on me. How much would you pay to make some dirt up for me? Bwahahaha!"

He suddenly remembers Spoiler and says, "Oh, sorry, Blue Beetle. Call me Ted or Beetle. So nice to meet you. I was looking forward to working with you." He gives her a small salute.

"So are we throwing him off the roof or what? He talks too much." Bluff that. Then again if he didn't know the Blue Beetle was Ted, he probably knew nothing about him. That fit most people.
Stephanie Brown Spoiler just sits quietly at first as Huntress does her thing and Johnny runs his mouth. She reaches over and goes through his pockets, pulling out his cell phone, looking at it and then seeming to focus back on searching him further. Pulling out his wallet and looking through it.

In reality what she's doing during that time is cloning his phone so Oracle can do her magic with it. Though if she finds anything of interest in his wallet that might indicate what activities he's been up to, that will get quietly noted as well.
Helena Bertinelli "You can't kill the internet. Or whatever else I got. Or what I will get on all of you---" Johnny tells them.

"SHUT UP!" Huntress yells and stomps him in the stomach. She stomps him again. She hauls him up while he wobbles in pain and says, "Asshole, this is the Blue &&$&$$# Beetle and frickin #1097#1097! $@$!!! Spoiler, and we done some checking on you too. Nice partners he's got, right Beetle?" she says and glances at Ted, "Tell him what we got before I send him flying to visit his pals on the street," she tells him and drags him toward the edge of the roof. The elevator becomes quite busy again and some people can be heard in the stairwell too, coming up.
Ted Kord Ted Kord says, "Oh. Well see this ends here. If Huntress so much as breaks a fingernail and you're within a mile of her... all your files are going to the FBI, GCPD, Justice Department, SHIELD, and a certain cave in this city. this will happen as we yank your ass off the street or someone will to make sure it looks like you got nabbed, and ratted on your clients... who are probably not the forgiving type."

He walks over to Spoiler and smiles at her. "The only glitch is... that phone of yours is a beauty. It's encrypted, firewalled, locked down. I mean you really got a top of the line security safe phone there. It's a bitch to clone or break into. Believe me I know."

"I make them." And yes there is that nasty grin again. His hand goes to his belt and a small module comes out. He hands it to Spoiler. "This will save Oracle some time at the very least. There's a couple cute backdoors in there for them."

Johnny is no longer smiling. In fact he looks a little gray.
Stephanie Brown Spoiler takes the module from Ted, slipping it into the phone and and glancing over at Johnny's reaction. "One thing about having lots of allies in Gotham that people who aren't from here don't understand. It means you also take on a lot of extra enemies," she tells him. "There's always another mobster, or an insane clown, waiting in line with a score to settle. An awful lot that can be done with information here, before any bones are even broken," she comments.

Once the hack is in and the backdoor has been opened, Spoiler rises and goes over to check on the door to the roof. She gives the crowbar another little kick to help secure it and then returns.
Helena Bertinelli "He figures I---/we/ won't kill him, which could be right," Huntress shrugs as she kicks Johnny toward the edge of the building, "But his 'partners' certainly will," she explains, "And spending time with SHIELD is much worse than even going to the DMV. Torture."

"Yeah, I see what's goin on...bat bitches...^@^!$$ Beetle bitch ass. I guess my info won't... come in handy today but...maybe soon---" he explains in another cryptic threat and swears at them in another language. Huntress kicks him again.

People start banging inside on the door to the shed and wobbling the makeshift crowbar. "Are we taking this phone, Beetle?" she asks, "We're gonna have company in about ten seconds."
Ted Kord Ted Kord shrugs. "The files on the phone are already downloaded. We can leverage the information into hacking his server. Oh... you should consider Shortcut Johnny... all the stuff you've been saying the last few days... your phone just might have been on. I make no promises what I'll do with that info... ah hell we both know Batman is getting it. I'd go back to Italy if I were you and work on sleeping nights."
Stephanie Brown Stephanie Brown pulls the module out of the phone and tosses it into Johnny's lap. Like literally into his lap. That's probably going to hurt a bit. "Alright, we've got enough to bury him," she says to them. "Or, actually I don't think they actually bury, do they. More like weights and over the sight of a boat?" The blond crimefighter glances between Helena and Beetle and then shrugs.

She pulls out her grapple gun and walks over to the edge of the building. Spoiler turns back, glancing to them and nodding and then stepping off the edge.
Helena Bertinelli "Eat it, jackass," Huntress tells Johnny as he smirks at them and recovers from Spoiler's lap attack. "Painful," she comments, glancing at Beetle and then at Spoiler. "Namor owes me a boat," she reminds them randomly.

Huntress thumbs everyone toward the opposite direction as the shed door wobbles again, ready to give way and suddenly busts open a moment later. She's shoots a line and zips off the roof before the men can even dart onto the roof.
