Owner Pose
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson is considering his new circumstances, the world is weird and topsy turvy right now and he just needs some time to think. He orders a coffee at a small bookshop he spotted out of the subway and is waiting for the barrista to make it.
Atrid Torsen Atrid walks in placing an order for a mocha and glances to Jovian as he waits. "I've always hated comin' ova here to many Yankees fans." He says chuckling loudly.
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson says, "I have always enjoyed the Astros myself. But that's because I liked the logo as a kid. If you hate it, what brings you into hostile territory?" he grins, "Names Jovian."
Atrid Torsen Atrid shrugs. "Just where my feet and subways carried me. Pffft Astros, Nah its all about the Mets man. Players like Tom Seaver, Don. Gooden, Al Leiter, David Cone, Bobby Bonilla, Todd Hundley, Mike Piazza, Darryl Strawberry, Keith Hernandez, Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergarrd, Pete Alonso, to name a few." He laughs. "You can call me Bjorn."
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson says, "I have had that happen some myself, exploring the city a bit. I do like the mets, if for no other reason that you can always ask, "How about them mets?" He smiles, "I know some of those names. Nice to meet you Bjorn. You play?"
Atrid Torsen Atrid nods his head laughing. "Yes yes you can. Its a pleasure to meet you too Jovian. Yes I'm a pitcher myself.
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson nods, "Nice. I did hunting with a bolo and a lot of camping as a youth but baseball was never my forte. Fun to watch of course. Do you also go to bat?
Atrid Torsen Atrid nods. "I did indeed, I was pretty good at that not as great as my arm though. For me my other thing was MMA."
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson says, "I've had combat training but mostly from my former job. I was a Marshal, so not quite MMA but useful"
Atrid Torsen Atrid grins. "Brazillian, Ju Jitsu, Glima and Muay Thai. They come in handy, but hell I'm just a 17 year old high-school student."
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson says, "Nice. And yes, time does matter. There is only so much you can do in a specific period of time. Where do you go to school?"
Atrid Torsen Atrid smiles at Jovian and shakes his head. "No place special just a public school back home in Brooklyn.:
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson nods, "Nice. I hear the schools in New York have improved quite a bit." He smiles.
Atrid Torsen Atrid shrugs. "I guess. I don't know what they were like before I went."
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson says, "From what I understand....underfunded...a great deal." He finishes his coffee and stretches, "Very nice to meet you Atrid." He smiles, "Best of luck with the playing."
Atrid Torsen Atrid nods his head. "The pleasures mine. And good luck in the endeavors you undertake."
Jovian Anderson Jovian Anderson smiles and nods heading out, "And to you as well." He gets his bearings and heads to the subway.
