Owner Pose
Thor     Moments after the Lady Drew was rescued from the back of the van she was taken upwards and carried aloft across the skyline. A brief jaunt, barely fifteen seconds until they light soft upon the rooftop of one of the old apartment buildings in the neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen.
Once they are down he turns to her and gives a nod, "You are injured, let me look before we continue on to the hospital if needs be?" And as he says that he hooks the hammer to his side and then nods to her, holding up one hand as if asking permission before proceeding.
Around them, on that old building, there are antennas and clothes lines, an industrial sized air conditioner and a large water tower that likely has been empty for six decades. Nothing too out of the ordinary beyond the people standing there themselves.
Jessica Drew It was certainly novel flying in someone's arms, aside from the manner of propulsion. Smiling to herself, Jessica's thoughts flew (yes) to the old Superman TV series, black and white, that aired on late night television. Lois Lane rescued by her smiling super hero. More black and white images of the Peril's of Pauline came to her then they touched down. She had to quell a flinch when he offered to look at her wound, someplace in her psyche was a fear of appearing weak and certainly of being the "demoiselle en degrease".

Still a bit woozy, she looked around the roof for a place to sit, her fingers automatically going to the bloody patch round the knot on her head. "You know, I don't think I'll need stitches. Some ice would do the trick." Eyes lowered, she makes herself say, "Thank you for coming when you did." She adds those hateful words, "You saved me."
Thor     The answer she gets is succinct and perhaps surprising as he replies with a casual ease, even as he steps closer to examine the head wound.
    "Bah.
He leans closer, fingertips lightly parting a lock of hair as he peers closely, frowning to himself as he gently examines though barely touches. Standing close enough for her to feel the subtle warmth from him, slightly greater than a normal individual and with a tang of ozone in the air.
"I have seen you move before, Lady Drew. They had you at a momentary disadvantage." Thor steps back and then meets her eyes, "Assuredly you would have turned the tables on them at any moment and I just sped things up a touch, impatient to finish our conversation."
That done he steps back and nods to her, "I think your assessment, however, is a correct one. You seem to be healing well already." His eyebrows lift, perhaps surprise, or perhaps just not familiar with mortality entirely well.
Jessica Drew Humour starts to reassert herself, taking herself seriously is something she hates almost as much as feeling like she needs help. "Bah, indeed. And I thought you had promised me that you would call me Jessica or I will start addressing you as Lord Thor. Then heavens forbid, curtseying to you." Looking up at him with the beginning of a smile, she makes another survey of the area with her fingers, "Ice. I do heal faster than most people. Part of the mutation." The smile takes hold for a moment before she says, "Really, thank you. However I might blame myself, you saved me. No small thing."
Thor     "Jessica," He says with a nod, granting that some weight of regard as if attempting to commit it to memory.
"It was naught," He dismisses the saving her as such, but he smiles and nods. "Come," He offers her his hand to help her rise up. "Let us away and we shall gain some ice, then you can tell me what passed." He steps across the way over towards the lip of the building, his footsteps easy with a bit of a stroll. He nods down to the street.
"We shall descend, and you shall inform me what is the next step. I imagine this is connected to the tale of woe young Jose wove for us." And should she join him over there he'll once again offer to sweep her into his arm. Perhaps she might imagine they're about to fly again, though this time instead they'll just fall to the street with him bracing with his knees, enough to make the jolt acceptable and to let her down then.
Jessica Drew Getting used to being swept up in strong powerful arms might be easier than she thinks, if only she can drop the litany of blame she has around being helpless. A wry smile tilts the side of her mouth as she nods assent, "Ice and Jose. And, please, coffee. I can pass eating but coffee is calling my name." She frowns slightly as she watches his reaction not knowing how much of her joking he understands then holds out her hands approaching him. It is one thing to be swept up, another to ask to be swept up. *Am I making this complicated? she asks herself.*
Thor     It's a brief moment, tinged with his smile as she steps to him. Then he'll slip his arm around her waist drawing her close. And, in truth, he's so damn warm. And there's that subtle melange to him, the tang of ozone along with that hint of leather, steel, and sweat that comes from the man.
He holds her close, gently lifting her off her feet and then /down/ they fall, likely she could make the descent on her own but she was injured after all. And so once there he'll let her down gently. "Inside then?" A nod is given to the small coffee shop, leading towards it. He'll walk over and then hold the door for her. And if she catches his reflection in the mirror, she'll espy him looking at her injury an frowning with a glimmer of concern. And then when she looks back at him he smiles easily enough.
Jessica Drew He smells good, Jessica decides as they plummet to the ground then brake like the gentlest high tech elevator. Wholesome and exciting like the smell on the wind before a storm moves in. She squirms a bit considering how she must smell, adrenaline, fear, blood mixed with soap and her favorite perfume from a small artisanal perfumer in Paris - Brazilian orange, rosewood and amber.

Once set down she walks through the door and does catch a glimpse of his face. How he must think mortals helpless, she thinks then walks straight to the counter to order. Caffeine. A must. "Cafe soy latte, no sugar, double espresso, please. What would you like, ah...?" Suddenly using Thor in front of people seems out of place.
Thor     "First thing is first," The tall Asgardian says as he advances into the shop and before the many people there, as well as the poor clerk at the front. He awaits Jessica placing her order but then adds to it as he murmurs, "If you would be so kind as to also grant me a cup of ice and perhaps a plastic bag, I would be much appreciative."
As he says that he nods toward Jessica, "I shall find a table, then you will tell me more of what has happened to young Jose's saga." Once that's said he turns, smiling to some of the people as he passes, a few cellphones come out to take shots.
Jessica Drew Glowering at Thor for asking for ice, the frown increases when she sees people taking out their phones to snap pictures. "What the...ahem?"

The barista asks, "What name?"

She snaps, "Flustered."

After finding a table in a small ell nook out of sight of most of the other patrons and settling herself the name is called. She rises immediately and has to brace herself on the table top because the shop did a small flip. Angrier she makes her way back to the bar and puts down a bill to pay, turning to look behind her at the would-be posters on social media types and wanting to stick her tongue out at them.
Thor     As for Thor he is just being his usual friendly self, settled in his seat and fielding the people as they come up, greeting them, asking their name, accepting their requests for a selfie or a picture. It's almost a steady stream until it's over, but then some people head out of the shop and are clearly doing some sort of broadcast thing, the jerks.
And yet Thor takes it all in stride, though when she sways he sits up a little and touches her hand with his. "Bide, let me get the order?" But certainly the look that gained may have stayed his hand entirely and so he flares his hands as if to accept that she will get the drink order.
And then he's back to making a smiling face for another onlooker.
Jessica Drew The clerk smiles and shrugs. Jessica returns with her coffee and a bag of ice that someone took the trouble to break up into smaller manageable pieces. Not without leaving a sizable tip. Seating herself opposite Thor, she takes a first tentative sip of the hot soy latte and sighs luxuriously through her nose. She drinks as much as she can in small sips trying not to burn herself. "Won't you have something, Thor? I've met one of your compatriots, er, fellow Asgardians, and she had a prodigious appetite."
Thor     A hand is held up, "You go ahead and enjoy, Jessica." He gives one last wave to a young woman who was 'sneaking' a photo, but then his attention shifts and levels back fully upon the Spider-Woman before him, "I had a hearty lunch earlier today..." He leans forwards a little, however and adds quietly. "Though..."
The plastic bag is opened and he steals a single piece of ice and pops it into is mouth, crunching it down and then sealing the bag back up. He holds it up and murmurs, "Come, I shall hold it to your injury while you drink your coffee and you will regale me with the tale of what has passed. Agreed?"
He does not wait for her before he adds, "Agreed." And he'll touch that ice to her wounded noggin, smiling a little at her but then awaiting her words.
Jessica Drew Caught between being gracious and hating being babied (secretly loving it) Jessica occupies her mouth with the coffee. It is the least egregious thing she can think to do. She makes an abrupt go-ahead gesture to him.

Coming up for air, "I don't know what has happened. What I surmise is that they did not like, they being the bosses, my mixing into their little scheme to blackmail Jose into pushing drugs for them." The grump persists though she has to work at maintaining it now. "Ouch," she says, bowing her head to make it easier to reach.
Thor     The ice is held there comfortably and one can likely already imagine the social media images being shared with the people that are still trying to get shots of them, as well as a stream by one enterprising fellow. Across the internet questions are asked about Thor's status being single or not, and perhaps even a few queries about who this young woman is with the disheveled hair and the ice bag on her head. Will the world ever know.
But, oblivious to this, and to be fair to other things, Thor continues to hold the ice there and murmurs. "Then perhaps you had best change your routine, perhaps sleep in another location, alter your habits." He says this with a nod, "This seemed like an organized attempt and they knew something about what you tended to do."
He shifts his hands, swapping the ice to the other so he can maintain that steady pressure. "You do seem to heal fast, however."
Heidi Ingerdottir Heidi has figured out the money thing pretty nicely now. She can almost pass for a very large Midgardian, all dressed in ordinary clothes! By almost it actually means not even close. But she is at least trying not to cause too much trouble as she goes along, standing in line until she gets to the register to order. It takes her a moment to remember what it is she tried before. "A mocha. The large hot kind." She gives her name, then scoots out of the way to wait for her drink.

"Heidi!" The barista calls not long after, the drink's simple enough to make. Heidi looks around as if to check that she is, indeed, the only Heidi, then grabs her drink.
Jessica Drew Heidi? the name makes Jessica jerk upright. "Ouch! Drat!" Hearing the name helps her forget meandering on to herself about social media and how much she hates it and how probably...

"Thor. Two things. Think this is wise to do in public with people taking pictures of us? And, is that the Heidi, not the one from Switzerland with the braids and cows but Ingersdottir?"
Thor     In response to both questions, Thor gives a small shrug, shaking his head slightly as he looks over towards Heidi, though he answers the first question. "What are we doing that is untoward?" And that may well be when Heidi hears that voice, deep, resonant, and perhaps just a touch bombastic. Though curiously not quiiite as Loki had presented it, not quite as subtly high pitched or nasally. But still. A reasonable replication.
"And I do not know a Heidi Ingerdottir." He quirks an eyebrow over in the direction of said Heidi, looking across the way at her blankly.
Heidi Ingerdottir Heidi takes a long sip of her mocha. Ah, chocolate goodness. It's then that she turns a bit and notices Jessica and Thor. Jessica's presense causes a bit of a smile, while Thor's has her almost choking on her mocha. Because now she recognizes that it's very much Thor. She covers her mouth with one hand, managing not to get the drink all over her. Oh no, what does she say to this? Does she pretend not to be seen?

Rats, they've certainly seen her now. She casually (or attempts to be) makes her way over towards the pair. "Hail Jessica! And hail Prince Thor!" She's usually not this awkward.
Jessica Drew Raising her head to look, Jessica pushes herself upright backing Thor up with her chair. "Heidi," rings across the now, thankfully, nearly empty shop. The barista pokes his head out to see. Prince? How could she be so dense? Narrowing her eyes at him when she looks back as though he is to blame for her not knowing his title, Jessica turns back to greet Heidi.

"Erm, do you know each other?" Another regrettable phrase coming from her mouth. He is a Prince in Asgard, stupid, of course she knows him.

Heidi's awkwardness adds another layer to the situation. "Join us?"
Thor     Eyebrows climb as Thor's gaze warms almost instantly, and there's that wide smile that so often is seen in the great city of Asgard. He looks askance towards Jessica, as if she had been keeping such secrets from him, but then he places his hands upon the tabletop and pushes himself to his feet, rising to his full and considerable height.
"Lady Ingersdottir?" He recalls the words given even as he steps away from the table and extends a great muscular arm towards the Valkyrie in training, "You hail from the Golden Realm and are come to Midgard? Wondrous." The vibrance of his words, the light in his features, it's all there, the poems of old, the charismatic manner of the Thunderer. All true. It is a thing entirely different than Loki's interpretation.
For much of who Thor is... is simply him being Thor.
"Such a wonder, to find another of my ilk upon Midgard. Well met. Well met indeed!" And should she accept his hand he will clasp her forearm /strongly/ giving her shoulder a hearty clap-clap of his open hand.
Then he is backing away and nodding to Jessica, "Indeed, join us. Do." He gestures with a sweep of one hand towards their booth and murmurs affably through a bubble of laughter, "Did you know of this Jessica?" He seems so entirely happy to see Heidi. And yet he knows her not at all.
And what is more? That feeling is genuine.
And, of course, the cellphones are out once again. Capturing this moment for posterity.
Heidi Ingerdottir The flaxen-haired Asgardian looks between Thor and Jessica. "Oh no, we are meeting now for the first time!" Heidi exclaims, though she does seem a bit surprised at how stark the difference is between Thor and his brother. She steps forward, her own arm extended. "I am afraid I haven't had the luck to run into you before now, but I have been told by a great many people that we should meet. It is an honor, Prince Thor." She might have been a little intimidated, but he's so /friendly/ that her usual ray of sunshine is right back where it usually is.

"Ah, yes, Jessica is a dear friend who has taught me the wonders of the bagel. She is also a very capable fighter." She moves her way around to find a seat near them.
Jessica Drew Nodding, Jessica shrugs, an expression somewhere between pride at her friendship with Heidi and bewilderment at Thor for expecting her to list all the Asgardians she knows. One, to date. Well, two now.

"Well, that is a surprise. I mean, you two not knowing one another. Asgard must be a much larger place than I imagined." Clearing her throat and trying to smile, "Yes, the bagel queen. That's me. Er. What did you get Heidi? Lady Heidi?"
Thor     Taking a seat and settling in, Thor angles himself so he can look at both of them as he eases into place. No drink for him, so he's content to sit there and murmurs, "Your friend, the good lady Jessica, was assaulted and I did what I could to aid her. She is currently recovering." He nods toward the bag of ice and frowns, a look of concern in his eyes.
"I have been trying to help her in her efforts to ferret out ill-doers in this area. Though I fear my efforts have not helped us reach an easier conclusion."
That said he uncurls a hand towards Heidi, "But tell us of what has passed for you, Lady Ingersdottir. What has brought you to Midgard?"
Heidi Ingerdottir "Ah, I am having a mocha. Someone recommended it and I was very pleasantly surprised. Asking locals for their favorites provides quite a bit of positive result," Heidi says, looking into her coffee. She does glance at Jessica with a bit of surprise. "I wouldn't expect Prince Thor to have made my acquaintance. I'm not..." She rubs the back of her head, trying to find some way to explain herself. So she just doesn't and moves on. "We are friends, Jessica, and I have found that Midgardians are not always so fond of titles. You may, of course, call me Heidi."

Thor, howeverl, gets all the proper respect. "Ah, that is a noble goal, Prince Thor. I myself am here in an attempt to join the Valkyrior. I was hoping that I would be able to achieve such a thing here as... I am fairly certain that trouble is always nearby in this realm."
Jessica Drew "Oh, do we have trouble in this realm! We Midgardians manage to produce a lot of that." Nodding with certainty, "You will manage to find it. We were just discussing our latest excursion into that realm."

Looking between the hale and hearty beauty of Heidi to Thor's, she will admit it, majestic muscles she has a thought. "Asgard - the high realm? Midgard - the middle realm or keep, maybe? Is there a Lowgard or something lower? Still surprises me that you don't know each other. Perhaps, her mother?"
Thor     "In Midgard it is acceptable to address me as Thor." He nods and looks between them, smiling the while. "But are not these coincidences lovely?" He uncurls a hand toward Heidi, "My new friend Jessica knows a fellow countryman and noble warrior in Heidi."
His smile is warm as he nods and reflects on the matter, "Perhaps I am a simple soul, but such things please me." That said he takes a deep breath and he murmurs, "I would suggest we should rush out at once, Heidi and I join forces and show Jessica how Asgardians celebrate the finding of friends."
But then his brow furrows, "Though Jessica, you should rest. Such an injury is not an easy recovery."
Then Jessica raises her voice, "Indeed, trouble has come to us this day." Another nod to the injury. But then he lifts his voice in answer, "There are more realms than that, though what would pass for a Lowgard would perhaps be Niflheim, the land of the invalorous dead."
Heidi Ingerdottir "These certainly are strange coincidences. I did not expect to meet you so suddenly, Pr--" She cuts herself off and corrects. "Thor." Midgard is less formal, after all. "Perhaps then, a milder party is in order." She does take a moment to peek over at Jessica to assess her condition, but then smiles. Not /too/ badly hurt, in her estimation.

Coffee was a mild party. The bigger one could come later.
