Owner Pose
Robbie Reyes     "Where's the damn- OW!!" Says a voice next to the basketball courts beneath the popped hood of a large black car that seems awfully long and meticulously maintained. Despite the fact the raised bonnet saying otherwise. Blue Jeans that have been stained with oil and weeks of grime from being in and around cars press against the side fender as Robbie is pushing himself away from the exposed engine bay with a hand rubbing at the back of his head, and with a wrench in his hand, he cocks it back like he's about to throw the tool at the car.

"Pinche madre!" The young man exclaims but holds his temper beyond that, and then rolls his eyes as the problem is spotted while he's got a more macro sort of view of the engine and he allows a sigh to escape his lips. "Really..." He says to no one as he simply clips down the battery terminal and frowns at himself.

"Don't be such an idiot Robbie." He tells himself as he reaches up to the hood and starts to undo the thin bar holding it up.
Tara Tsabedze The night.

Whether it was hot or cold, raining or clear skies, the night was paradise to Tara. Walking beneath the silvery light of the moon, she almost seemed to glow... almost. She had been to many parts of New York in the week she had lived here, tonight it was a visit to Harlem.

Although her origin was clearly African American, and thus she fit in to the area a bit in that regard, the feline features made it next to impossible to pass by without being stared at. To help counter that a touch, she wore a pair of tight fitting leather pants, her tail poking out from the base of her spine. Hugging her upper body was a deep purple, v cut tank top and over that an over sized, thin cotton hoody with the hood up.

The basketball court had a few young men playing a game with a new ball, a drug deal going on in the far corner, and now a lovely feline-esc woman pausing to watch the game and drug deal.
Robbie Reyes     There's a metallic thunk not too far from Tara, as the black car's hood is dropped into place and then, with fingers on top, Robbie pushes down until it clicks into place and sits flush with the rest of the body work.

A job well done, Robbie is walking around the passenger side, and then to the trunk to drop the wrench back off in his personal emergency tool kit he carries in the car. But there's Eli in the back -Now the front- of his mind, ((WHO'S THE CHICK?)) "I don't know." Robbie replies, looking over the lip of the opened trunk hatch and he can't help but raise an eyebrow in her direction.

((WEARING SOMETHING LIKE THAT WHILE IT'S THIS HOT OUT. AIN'T NORMAL.)) Eli warns and Robbie's orange eye flickers with a fire within, and curiosity can be a virture.

"Hey, you okay?" Robbie asks towards Tara, as he lowers the trunk with another THUNK.
Tara Tsabedze The game wasn't one she had ever played, but Tara had seen it played before. She had no idea if they were playing by the rules because she didn't know the rules. They looked to be having fun, even in the heat.

Even beneath the hood her ears pick up the sounds of the man working on his car, and then his voice. Her head turns toward him.

"Pardon?" She asks softly, a hint of an East African accent to her voice. "Were you speaking to me? If so, yes I am quite fine, thank you." Although her ears aren't visible, when she looks toward him he can see the feline features of her face all the same.
Robbie Reyes     ((SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG.)) Eli shouts, the other soul occupying Robbie's body, and the mechanic has to act as if he can't hear the ever angry, and outrageous man. It can be exhausting. The young man takes a breath and smiles towards Tara, "I was, am." Robbie says, shrugging his shoulders and cocking his head sideways softly as he responds, and maybe doesn't quite take the hint as he continues. "Not every day in August you see someone wearing a hoodie... Though... there are odder things." Robbie says, sounding casual though if not a bit intimidated by her features, but he doesn't do more than stammer a bit in response to her.

((P***Y!)) Eli yells mentally at Robbie. ((GROW SOME BALLS AND THEN FLIRT, CAUSE THIS S**T SUCKS. AND SHE'S FOR SURE AN ALIEN. DID YOU SEE HER?))
Tara Tsabedze So he was one of those, the type that notice the hoodie in the summer and worry about it. They were the rarer type, most just ignored it or if they did notice it, didn't comment.

"If you look around yourself," she begins with a smile playing on her lips. "You will find that there are many stranger things in this world than a woman wearing a hoodie in August." She chuckles softly at this, then cants her head. "I have good reason for it, and am not too hot. Kenya gets much hotter than this."
Robbie Reyes     "You're not wrong, but I did notice you, and if I can't help a single person, or at least ask them how they're doing, then I'm not much of a man am I?" Robbie asks, stepping closer, but not quite /close/ yet. The mechanic shrugs and shakes his head, "Yeah, Kenya, ... d-does it get hot in Kenya? I'm..." ((YOU'RE AN IDIOT!)) Eli shouts further insults at Robbie who simply stops and takes a breath. "Sorry." He says towards Tara and starts to turn around. "Nice to know you're okay." He says with a wave of his hand as he starts to move to turn back to his car.
Tara Tsabedze Tara's eyes follow the man's movements, first closer and then away. She was beginning to wonder if he was okay, perhaps the concern needed to turned back on him.

"You are sorry I an from Kenya?" She asks, straightening her head and taking a step toward him. "Or are you sorry for something else that you think you did? I am thankful you are considerate enough to check on those around you, not many would."

Reaching up she flips the hood back so he can see why she wears it up. She figures he will most likely freak out and leave, that's the usual response, but she wanted to at last show him he didn't do anything and she was grateful for his concern.
Robbie Reyes     Robbie stops when she continues to speak with him and he looks over his shoulder, "Sorry for bothering y-" He stops and turns around with his eyebrows shooting up high onto his forehead with a shocked look on his face. "Ah." The young man says with a surprise obvious in his tone.

((HOLY S**T! SHE'S A FREAK!)) Eli roars, knowing only Robbie can hear him. Robbie gives a kindly smile as he doesn't run away, but he doesn't really react beyond looking at her ears and then down to her eyes and his own orange eye flickers with the fires within.

"I-I'm Robbie." He says, reaching out his hand and smiling shyly. "Would you like to go get a drink?"
Tara Tsabedze First Tara looks at the hand with her golden felines eyes, then she remembers what it means and takes it to shake.

"I am K'Tara, but you may call me Tara," she offers with a smile broad enough to expose her extended canines. "You were not bothering me."

Releasing his hand she goes to flip the good back up, "Is there some place close by? I do not drink alcohol, but I could go for a Coke."
Robbie Reyes     "Cool name." He says with a bit of a blush reddening the skin beneath his eyes, and he can feel the heat of his own face, before he looks away and fights the blush. "Yeah. I'm still kind of new to the city too, but I know a few places. Like that place over there, just across the street. Other side of the park. Harold's." Robbie says, seemingly acting much more confident and less tripping over his own shoes.
Tara Tsabedze If she notices him tripping over himself verbally or other wise, Tara gives no indication of it. The smile remain on her face, her golden eyes witching him with a sparkle to them.

"Harold's," she repeats before walking closer to him. "That sounds like a good place, a good name."

Not once in all this does she seem to have the usual 'stranger danger' concern that people get, maybe she should, but clearly she doesn't seem worried that he might be trying something. Either she's dumb or she's certain she can take care of herself. "Lead the way, Robbie."
Robbie Reyes     Robbie's body tenses up slightly as she approaches, but he doesn't react otherwise, and tries to hide his awkwardness with some bad jokes.

"I'd offer you a ride..." Robbie begins, with a motion to the black car, and yet his hand continues to climb through the motion and points up to the building across the street. "But it's right there." He smirks, looking back towards the feline facia of Tara.

There's not much leading as he looks both ways before breaking into a short jog to cross the few lanes of traffic and enters the dinner that looks like it's recently gone through a renovation. There's no great fanfare or greeting from the owner or any of the regulars towards Robbie when he enters. He really hasn't been in the city for that long.

There's a sign that says for them to seat themselves, and so he leads Tara to a small booth, and allows her to take a seat first before a waiter will swing by and take their orders.

A look is given to the two of them, it's easy to tell the waitor thinks Tara is a mutant, and isn't all that bothered, but he gives Robbie a disapproving glance but asks "What can I get you two tonight?"
Tara Tsabedze Tara knows nothing about cars, but as she passes his she looks it over. Clearly it was important to him, and it looked very nice for a car, but that's all the more she really could tell... it was a nice car.

Waiting for traffic, she crosses the street after Robbie and enters the diner. Just like a cat entering a new room, she pauses for a moment to look around at the place, her tail twitching behind her. Only once she's certain there isn't some hidden thing about to pounce out does she follow him to the booth and slide in to sit.

"What a nice little place," she offers with a smile, then to the waiter she say, "I would like a coke with no ice please, and an order of fries."
Robbie Reyes     "Just a sprite for me." Robbie's order is simple and he then goes back to openly staring, at Tara, but he's obviously forgotten that it's rude to stare. "Sorry." He mumbles again, looking away. "I just. I'm still learning this world and getting used to it. Never thought..." He stops his train of thought again as Eli bursts in once more.

((SHE'S TOTALLY EVIL. SHE'S GOING TO EAT YOU. AND ME. I DON'T WANT TO GET EATEN. DO YOU?)) Eli demands loudly in Robbies head, trying to get the kid to stop gawking at the cat-woman at least. "You're gorgeous." Robbie blurts out between thoughts and he catches himself with wide eyes informing her that he's surprised himself even, and the frown of regret tugging at his lips.
Tara Tsabedze Tara starts giggling at his blurted comment and offers a soft, "Thank you."

It's obvious that something is going on in the young man's head, but until that moment she didn't realize it was because of her in that way. Most often men aren't really attracted to her, for the obvious reason, she's a bipedal female feline. Thankfully she can't hear Eli in Robbie's head, or she'd want to smack him. She doesn't eat people, not even when starving.

"You should relax Robbie," she offers then. "Before you explode. Such tension is not good for you. I am accustomed to being stared at, so you need not worry about that. I am not accustomed to being called gorgeous however, so I am quite flattered."
Robbie Reyes     Taking a deep breath, and putting his hands on the table, he allows the breath to escape his face and he slumps down into the booth chair with a bit of a squeak as his leather jacket rubs against the pleather of the booth's cushion. "I'm trying to relax, I am." Robbie notes with a cockeyed grin shot towards Tara.

"Honestly I never really get to talk to ladies often. I'm usually busy with my brother and with ..." He pauses to take a look out the window towards his car but changes his mind and looks back at Tara's golden eyes. "My brother." Robbie sighs softly.
Tara Tsabedze One brow lifts slightly and Tara also looks out the window at his car. Again, he made it obvious there were things he wasn't saying, but that was alright, it wasn't her place to pry.

"Your brother must be pleased to work with you," she offers, nodding to the waiter when her coke arrives. "Thank you."

She waits for the waiter to leave before she continues, "You are thinking too much, worried to much that you will offend or upset me. You can do neither of these things Robbie, and if you do some how manage to offend or upset me, I will merely tell you you have and we can discuss it. So you see? No reason to worry."
Robbie Reyes     "He's - Yeah. He's happy to work with me, and I'm happy to work with him." No need to get into the troubles it can be taking care of a special needs kid. That would likely be too much too soon. He thinks to himself, and refuses to allow Eli to respond to that train of thought.

Robbie smiles back towards Tara, and nods to the waiter dropping his drink down with Tara's and her order of fries. "Tara, lets just assume that will happen." He smirks and nods sharply, knowing he will say or do something dumb soon enough. "So." Sliding a hand to his drink and lifting it to take a sip. "What brings you to New York?"
Tara Tsabedze Taking the straw, Tara pulls the top of the paper off then peels the plastic free to poke into the coke. A quick sip is taken, which makes her smile broadly again.

"It was time for me to choose a place to settle for a time," she replies, setting the paper on the table. "After leaving the tribe and traveling numerous places, I decided that New York seemed the right place to settle and offer my talents to those in need."
Robbie Reyes     Robbie takes a soft sip and sets his drink back down on the table and looks at her order of fries, considering taking one, but his primal brain tells him it's likely best to not steal from the predator turned woman. Or is that woman turned predator. Either way. Bad idea.

"You want to help people too?" Robbie asks, choosing to dive into that rabbit hole. "How do you envision yourself helping others?" The Ghost Rider asks, not sure he can say he actually helps people, when that's always his goal when Eli takes over their body.
Tara Tsabedze Another giggle escapes and for a moment Tara's feline eyes sparkle.

"I have many talents Robbie," she laughs softly. "I am not just a feline. I am blessed by Goddess Moon with potent magics. I can see the flow of magical energies flowing through the world, in and around and through things. I am not a mutant, if that is what you have been thinking. Perhaps some time I will show you my most prized ability, to heal, to mend, to cure and even regrow limbs."
Robbie Reyes     "You're a witch... doctor... doctor-witch and..." Robbies hands go to catch his face before he drops it onto the table. Hands pressed against opposite sides of his head as he suddenly is looking /through/ her instead of at her. "Oh. Wow." Is all he is able to say as he processes more.

"You. You can really help people... like, truly. Madre..." He whispers, falling back into his spanish.

The Ghost Rider looks back up to Tara. "You sound like a really difference maker. A ... changer. I don't know, words aren't really my strong suite." He says, blushing again towards her.
Tara Tsabedze Tara tilts her head, the braids on her head falling over her shoulder as she does. "I am not a witch or doctor, I am am Kivuli, touched by Goddess Moon, blessed by Bast. Many would call me a mage."

She takes another sip of her coke, now watching him very closely. His reaction was unexpected, for her it was natural that she would be helpful but then she should realize that most do not look at the world that way.

"Let me explain," she finally says. "I was born as you see me now, born touched by Goddess Moon and Bast, neither human nor feline, but both. My purpose is to aid the world and those who live here, be they human, mutant, alien. If they live on this planet, I will aid them. That is what Kivuli is. Does that better explain it?"
Robbie Reyes     "Kabuki. Kiluvi..." Robbie keeps trying to repeat. He's not trying to be offensive, it's just, getting his tongue to move that way in his mouth is proving to be difficult.

"Kivuli." He gets it right with a small celebration of raising both his heads up above his head. "Yeah, that explains it, sort of..." He doesn't understand about ninety percent of her story.

Robbie covers up his need to ask many more questions with a long pull of his soda and more staring at her striking features, and intoxicating allure. There's just something about her, she's ... pure, confident. He desperately wants to share his dark secret with her, but... looking away, he fights the truth that he still hasn't come to terms with. That his uncle's soul is bonded to him and they become a flaming skull that fights for his neighborhood and city in the most greusome ways.
Tara Tsabedze Continuing to watch him, listening to the changes in his tone as he speaks, Tara laughs.

"You may feel free to ask me questions Robbie," she says with a giggle. "How else do you learn about someone if you do not ask questions? I have nothing to hide, i would happily show you my talents without hesitation or worry."
