Matt Murdock Corey Park was a hacker. Not a member of the Rising Tide, but certainly Rising Tide ajacent which was exactly what Matt needed. Fortunately, Corey had done a hack of the police servers in Brooklyn and got caught which is where Matt Murdock entered his life, providing a strong defense for the budding hacker and netting him probation, community service and the potential of working for the city to reinforce their defenses for the future. All pro bono.

That meant Corey aka 'Savant' owed him one, so when Matt decided it was time to try and find Skye he was who he reached out to...

It wasn't an easy decision, he'd been keeping his distance for a reason, not wanting to distrupt her life, her progress with her powers and risk SHIELD finding out about him, given all she had done to protect him the last time they met. He didn't reach out, because there was only him to consider then, his missing her and the brightness she brought to his life. Now though there was a city to think about, Danny had told him the Hand may have destroyed cities before, and if this Black Sky was a weapon, then it could mean all of New York was at risk. He had to find out about these entries, even if it put both him and Skye at risk.

To say nothing of bringing both women who were in his heart into his life at one time.

So, the message went out from Savant: Shark with a Heart is looking for DarkSkye. Usual spot.
Daisy Johnson The messages out to DarkSkye were turning more and more scarce now. News travelled fast and the once mighty hacker was, apparently, just a shadow of herself. Not that the internet community at larged knew about her change of heart to SHIELD, but there were always rumors...

So it came as a surprise when she caught wind of a new message to her and from ..., Savant? Hadn't that guy been caught a while back?

Yet the message is anything but what she would had expect. The nickname stirs old memories in her, ones very dear to her, even if life might had brought them through different paths in an attempt to keep each other protected. Though if he was reaching out now meant there was something serious going on.

"Same time as last time, tomorrow." is the simple reply.

Next day though, late morning, she is making her way towards the Orphanage. Back to her old type of clothing, the dark jeans, the t-shirt, a jacket. No beanie hat though. She has outgrown those. Those gauntlets are on, mostly covered by the sleeves of her jacket.. Just in case..
Matt Murdock Savant gets Matt the message, holding onto it until Matt's declared them 'square'. Then the blind lawyer makes his way to the orphanage. The last two years didn't change him much, same sorts of suits and ties, same red glasses, same cane, same little bruises that suggest he hasn't given up his night job.

Arriving first, he takes a seat on the concrete planter that held the tree that Skye had sat under the last time they met. Matt was nervous, his fingers drumming on the concrete, his stance tense.

He lifts his arm and pops up the hinged cover to feel the numbers there. It was time.

He lets out a breathe and lets his senses roam around trying to feel Skye coming.
Daisy Johnson Daisy is perhaps the one that has changed the most, at least outwardly, the pace different, that posture. The confidence that shows. Yet there are still those traces that are very much Skye, the smile on her voice while she is humming a little tune that may be very recognizable to those with heightened senses. And also a throwback to the past. Or how she seems to resonate pretty much the same way she did when she finally got full hold of her powers in that fated, last day they were together.

Yet she now seems like a woman fully in control of her destiny. She turns to approach the orphanage, a million questions assailing her thoughts. Why now? Is Matt in danger? Was he discovered? Time to find out. Her eyes seek out the surroundings ....

... But so does her powers, a small vibration thrown out, seeking that signature she knows so well. Of course. Under the tree.

Her steps are now fully heard as she gets closer and closer. "You haven't learned how to be faster yet." a softness to her voice.
Matt Murdock This new Skye is hard to miss, even with all the changes, her humming and the note of her resonance behind it made her impossible to mistake.

The jokes just seal the deal.

"Skye," he greets with a smile. Moving to hug her. "And yeah, I keep working at it but the badguys keep getting faster."

He hugs her if she lets him, the feeling of her in his arms familiar and warming. Even so he lets his senses wander for the moment, listening, feeling for anyone watching, SHIELD agents or Hand ninja, he had been careless once suggesting that date, he didn't want to do so again now.
Daisy Johnson "It's Daisy now." The Daisy-formerly-known-as-Skye informs Matt, moving closer to wrap her arms around him, sharing warmth. "I have missed you, Matt. Are you ok?" she asks, that touch of protectiveness to her tone. She stays there a moment, re-learning on how he feels inside, feeling his beat before she steps back.

"So I heard Savant got a good lawyer to keep him out of prison. Only had to put 2 and 2 together." She folds her arms together, her head also turning to look around as if seeking for those that could be watching, her long hair flowing in the breeze. It does seem she let it grow again.

But for now she isn't picking up anything, not that her senses are as attuned as Matt's.
Matt Murdock Daisy? That was a surprise, even from Daisy-formerly-known-as-Skye-and-Mary-Sue-Poots. As for Matt's changes they can be felt in that embrace, he'd added some muscle, likely from all that jumping around roofs and punching bad guys, and his heart beat was slower, another side-effect of the vigilante exercise regime.

As they parted, Matt nods, "Yeah, good kid, may get him to go straight yet," he says with a touch of a smirk on his lips. Even if he had him reach out to his old contacts for this.

"And I'm alright but I need your help, and we should get off the street."

He nods in the direction of his place, knowing she'd know where he meant. "No immediate danger, but, I don't want to take any chances."

It wasn't likely the Hand were going to jump out katana's swinging, but, he wasn't going to discount them watching him and he didn't want to make Sky- ahem, Daisy, a piece in that particular chess match.

"So, Daisy huh?" he asks, because he's got to admit he's curious.

They walk through Hell's Kitchen towards his apartment.
Daisy Johnson "You have been working out." Daisy notes after that embrace, her own senses having grown sharper, not just her powers but her training having turned her into someone different. More confident. "I prefer this rhythm to your heart than the one in the past." her own body felt similar, more full, athletic after all that training she had underwent, the missions...

The note about Savant makes her quirk a doubting brow, "If you say so. You are, afterall, the saint of lost causes." and one that had helped her greatly in the past.

"Lets go, I think I still remember the way." yes, she remembered it quite well. There is a lot going through her mind right now, last time they were together. How it all ended... But he does need her help. Her focus goes there.

"So I will have a chance to repay you for what you have done for me. Nice." She walking in silence for a time. Her eyes keep ahead but she is attuned, just in case danger lurks, even if to a casual observer she'd look rather normal..

"Turns out that was the name my parents gave me." She seems happy with it, to having finally learned it. "I go by Daisy Johnson now."
Matt Murdock "You too," Matt says about them both working out. "It's nice." As for the what he hears on the inside. "You're in tune," he says warmly, knowing what that must mean for her, that she had a firm grasp on her powers. He smiles.

He shrugs about Savant. "I'm a Catholic, it's what I do."

That much hasn't changed. Matt living the spirit of his faith even if he was a little fuzzy about following all of its rules.

Matt's mind too goes to how they parted, and the long time after it took to feel okay with it, to stop blaming himself for suggesting that stupid date. Well okay, it's Matt, the blame was still there, but at least it didn't eat at him as much as it used to. Though having her this close, brought it all back. But they had a mission, a task, the rest would come after that.

"You don't owe me for that," he says of having helped her. "I was just glad to be there for you."

At the revelation of her name, he asks, "So, you found them?" he asks her, before he says it, "Daisy Johnson," getting a sense of how it feels to say. "It suits you."

Their steps take them up into his building and into the elevator, which as ever takes its time to rise.
Daisy Johnson "Most of the times." Daisy replies about being in tune. Because well, sometimes losing control a bit had always been one of her traits. "But I have learned a trick or two." a bit of a smug little grin on her expression now, maybe even a mirror to the ones Matt used to give her.

She continues on, hands inside her pockets, looking up at Matthew. "Fine, not owing per se. Doesn't mean I won't be there when you ask me to." She says. "You know I always will." that old genuine tone to her voice, open and without deception.

But the conversation steers to her parents and she hrms. "Somewhat. I have found my father. He .., well.." a tightness to her heart, ".. He wasn't well, it's a bit of a long story, but he is better now. Still looking for my mother though. But, at least I am getting there." then she grinning when Matt says the name suits her. "Thanks. It was because they always liked daisies."

She walks into the elevator, smiling up to Matt, "What about you? What news?" she remains close to him, watching.
Matt Murdock Matt nods about the control. He knew a bit about losing control from time to time. As for the tricks, he smiles with a mix of curiosity and mischief. "Guessing it's more than playing glasses like a party trick?" he says laughter and warmth in his voice.

"I know, and you know I'll always be there for you," he says. "I haven't forgotten you, Sk-" he makes an apologetic smile. "Daisy, I just didnt' want to risk putting either of us in danger."

"Sorry he was unwell, but I'm glad you found your name, even if it's taking me a moment to get used to it, I know that was important to you, could feel it when you talked about your other names. "Goes without saying if you need any help finding your mother, you just have to ask."

He nods about the daisies. "That's sweet. Plus. you've got a song too," he says. Okay it was a very old song but it was a song.

Matt doesn't step too far from Daisy either as they enter the elevator together, his hand reaching out as if by habit to touch the longer hair. "Me?" he asks her. "About the same, working with Foggy and Karen at one job and the Defenders at the other. Not sure which one I've had the most success at it's been a series of ups and downs," he says with a shrug. No obvious signs of trouble in his expression, at least not fully but there's a tension there around his eyes, like something was troubling him.

"Missed you, though," he adds at the end. Though that doesn't seem to be the only thing on his mind.
Daisy Johnson "A party trick!" Daisy lets out a feigned gasp as if she felt insulted, a snort afterwards and she shaking her head slowly. "Mocking my first concert, how mean of you, Matt." but there's a warmth to her voice now. She wraps her arms together, resting her shoulder on the side of the elevator while they go up. It's a comfortable enough posture, the same comfort she finds when she is close to him. "You know, I was just thinking about it. You are probably one of the very few that actually know all the names I have had through out my life. Mary Sue, Skye.." a little skip over Tremors, ".. Daisy, and oh, Quake too. It's my codename. I feel almost like a hero sometimes."

"Which song?" She questions curiously. Hey, she isn't that versed in older songs! But then a nod given at the offer to find her mother. Perhaps she would in the future. But right now her focus was in helping him. "Lets see if we can get you out of this problem first." the mention of the Defenders makes her grin. "Jessica still making your life hell? And the Fist still thinks they punched a dragon?" she still remembering the talks they had in the past.

Her head turns just so as if to allow Matt to touch her hair. It's indeed longer now. New year, new hair. Seems like a motto to her.
Matt Murdock Matt laughs, "I still have the glasses if you want to do encor," he says and given how very few things Matt seems to own theres some meaning to that. As for the names he grins warmly. "Don't worry, I'll take the Mary Sue thing with me to my grave," he promises her. "Though I think you mispronounced Tremors, miss superhero," he teases her. Though theres a pleasure to his tone too, glad to hear she was doing good with her abilities. "Guess that codename means you can definitely do more than music with your gifts."

"Something oooold one, about a girl named Daisy, and a bicycle built for two," he says. "I don't think I've actually ever heard it all the way through." Though it's easy enough to look up online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AEIvmZ1mRc) he might dig it up for her later.

Right now though she was right there were other things to focus on. "Yep, on both cases. in fact Jess just dragged Danny along on one of her cases, I kinda want to see how that went..."

He leads the way to his apartment once the elevator arrives at his floor, unlocking the door and letting Daisy inside. He follows and shuts the door, still smiling at the change of hair. "With all the mental pictures I've taken of you to get your hair right, I'm going to need a photo album in there," he teases fondly.
Daisy Johnson The mention of Tremors has Daisy make a face at Matt. "Yea, I wonder if you know this tall guy, shield agent.., good with a bow..." but she then laughing out, shaking her head a bit to herself. "I will never get rid of that codename will I. And yep, I know a few things, namely on how to actually use it in combat, or even disrupting vibrations." she murmurs, then remembering. "I actually absorbed the energy of an earthquake once.." then she sighs. It had been a painful enough experience. "It always needs to come out in the end though..." she explaining about that limitation.

Talking about the Daisy song makes her mmm, she hadn't heard of it but seems willing to try. "Maybe this artiste can be convinced to do one final show. I mean, it'd be a waste to keep those glasses for nothing, right?"

"From what you have told me about them I am sure it went spectacularly." either good or bad. Who knows?!

They enter the room, she casting a look at the surroundings. "Place looks exactly the same." a warmth to her voice. There are a lot of memories for her here. To both of them.
Matt Murdock "Who?" Matt asks about the tall archer, with a knowing smile on his face. He knows who she's talking about of course, most people do. "What, you rolling with Avengers now?" he asks amused that someone else hit on that codename. "Those guys are too flashy for my taste but they know from codenames..." he teases her. "And nope, at least with me that codename is sticking."

His brows raise at the description of her powers, "Wait, you absorbed an earthquake?" he asks her. "Like you took it inside of you and then let it out?" he asks her sounding surprised and amazed. "On second thought maybe Quake is the better codename... damn."

"Well, if we can put this business with the Defenders to bed, I could be game for another concert," he says before laughing about Danny and Jess' little mission. "Good word for it," he says. "Will find out in a couple of days when I drop off some noodles at her place again." One of those little care visits he told her about, two years on, they were still a tradition.

Inside the apartment, Matt smiles, thinking of those same fond memories. "Yeah, pretty much," he admits. "Though I promise not to make you chase me around on the ceiling this time."
Daisy Johnson "You know how it is. I am VIP now.." Daisy replies with amusement still playing on her features, "So popular..." well, that's not exactly true, but noone needs to know! Still, she grins some, continuing on her way into the apartment, hands moving to rest on her backpockets, "It was a small one, but yes. I am able to absorb vibrations to an extent as well." She rests a shoulder to a wall after turning to face Matt.

"No luck with the chinese sticks yet?" She questions. Yes, she remembered those. And it's easy enough for her to go back to that way they were, being comfortable around each other.

"And that's just too bad, I was just looking forward to some chasing around.." A tease followed by a laugh. Yet then she sobers up a bit. "What did you want to talk with me about?"
Matt Murdock There's a snort from Matt about her being a VIP now. "Glad it hasn't gone to your head," he teases giving her a wry smile. They step into the apartment and Matt shuts the door.

"That's incredible Daisy," he says turning to look at her study those vibrations within her more closely, seeing how they've changed.

"Wasn't that your issue?" he asks her smiling and coming back into the moment. The sticks he means. He marvels at how quick it was to fall into old patterns, like almost no time had passed.

"Well..." Matt says about the chasing before he springs against one wall of his entryway and then the next to grab one of those ceiling beams and swing over to the next, before dropping down. "It's always an option. Maybe follow it up with a bit of blindfolded sparring?" he jokes with a warm smile, remembering those moments and what came after them fondly.

Then yes, busiiness. "This way," he says and he leads her to the ledger which he set out on the little table by the kitchen, "We found this in the possesion of some guys calling themselves the Hand. I think the guy who gave me those scars on my body was part of them," he means the ninja. "Anyhow they're smuggling in a lot of things, some of it is mundane, but the rest are these old artifacts, but those entries are coded and I figured who better to help than DarkSkye?"
Daisy Johnson A laugh, then a shake of her head. Daisy corrects herself, admitting. "Well, actually.., you know me. Always a rebel so I haven't gone up the org much. But it's good, I don't have that responsibility aaaannnnddd....." a dramatic pause. " ... I can now order takeout." the real win here. Yet her tone tells she is just joking. Still, she does seem to recall their conversations of a couple of years ago.

And indeed those vibrations seem more in tune, as if they weren't them controlling her but the contrary, as if she was in charge now, telling them how they should be. Having found that rhythm that had been so inconstant before.

"I have had a lot of time to practice now. A Master they call me." about the sticks. Good thing she refrains herself from calling herself Master Sticks. How bad would that be?!

"Showoff.." She murmurs at that jump up, "But sure, we could do one of those. I will go easy on you." she teases. But then she dislodges herself from the wall she was against, following after Matt. "The Hand?" she doesn't seem the type to know much about ninjas, but she remembers those scars well. She nods.

"Cracking codes, I can do that. Most codes that are used, have one way or another been also used in computer applications in the past. Looking for the most efficient algorithms, etc. If one of those was used I should be able to crack it." she says.
Matt Murdock "Oooh, well as long as you've got access to takeout then you're all set," Matt grins at her nodding to the bit about her rebellious streak. "Yeah, I seem to remember that about you," he grins. "And if it's any consolation I probably wouldn't be going to far up the ranks either if I was in SHIELD." Not having to take orders was a big part of why he started his own firm.

Matt smiles to sense the beautiful rythum inside of Daisy, all of it set by her and not the other way around. He felt a surge of happiness for her, and a little pride that he'd helped set her down that path.

No kidding it was a good idea she didn't call herself that, now that was a visual he didn't need! Though he grins about her mastery, "Well, if we're here through dinner," and he hoped they were. "We can always order some Chinese delivery to show off your skills.'

Of course that's when Matt showcases his skills before they get on to the business of codes.

He flips the book open to the entries in question, two are highlighted translations written beside them. Four more are a mystery. "It's these four we need to figure out. No clue what any of it means, except these two, which are about bringing things to an unknown dock here in NYC."
Daisy Johnson "Now we are talking my language." Daisy replies about chinese delivery. Because yes, in her world of computers, hacking and technology there had been many sleepless nights in her life. Perhaps more than she had wished. But can't change the past. So all she could look forward to were ..., more sleepless nights... Ah, the life of a geekette.

She follows him to where the book is, lips pursed together and she resting one hand up on her neck, glancing over the translations, then the entries. "And were these two also coded?" she questions, brushing a finger over the translation and the rest. A pause again.

"And so, we are talking about a code for a date, and a place. If we go by the two above. With these examples I might be able to extrapolate something. What's our deadline here?" she asks.

A look up to Matt, "I am guessing not more than a day or so. Good thing I came prepared." she slides her small backpack down on the table and begins to open it. Seems like Daisy knows how to get serious when it counts.
Matt Murdock Matt nods, regarding the take-out, "Want me to call, ask for the same thing we were going to order, just without the SHIELD agents?" he asks her before she gets too far into work mode. Which is a wonder to 'see'.

While Matt knew she was good with computers and codes, he hadn't ever been privy to this part of her life like this before, so he was intrigued.

"Yeah, those first two were both deliveries for a dock, one was three days out the second six," he says, both days were now much, much closer. "The other ones might be on similar pattern, but yeah, date and place, as well as a description of an object, usually some sort of antique, think ritual objects."

Yeah Matt was deep in the weird now.

"So yeah, a day or two would be a safe bet, anything you could do would help. Plus there's a ton of less coded info in there, too, feel free to pass it on to SHIELD. I am sure they can make use of it."
Daisy Johnson Daisy opens her mouth to say something, then pauses.. Thoughts drift back to that dinner, how it never really got to an end. And he remembers, of course he would remember it. She does too. A grin. "I would like that, yes. Extra dose of No Agents for me please." she does have to work her memory a little though to recall what they were going to have. "Chicken chow mien, right?" yea, that seems right. She squints her eyes.

"Should I ask on why exactly you are looking out for these? I mean, thought you were done with ninjas..." oh, if only she knew..

She brings her sleek laptop out, placing it on the table, opening it. In the meantime she leans over to take a pic of the ledger with her phone, giving Matt a little nudge with her arm. "Excuse me..., working Agent here.." then finally sitting down.

The mention of passing the ledger along to SHIELD makes her speak up. "It may raise up questions. Are you ok with that?" she asks, the sound of her fingertips on her keyboard now heard. A true keyboard warrior in action.
Matt Murdock Matt isn't sure what to make of the pause, until he feels that grin through her body and he smiles. "Yep, and I had the shrimp dumplings," he says, remembering it like it was yesterday.

It was hard not to, it was burned into his mind.

He quickly places the order, then hangs up the phone. "Should be here in 20 minutes."

Then it's time to talk ledger, "A friend," he begins before he decides he should be honest here, "Well, an ex. got involved with these people and came to me to try and sort it out. We sort of ended up stealing this," he nods towards where he feels the ledger laying on the table. "Anyhow, seems like the ninjas aren't done with New York, so I'm not done with them."

"Not terribly thrilled at the prospect," he says rubbing his side.

He smiles though when elbowed out of the way. "Sure, excuse me Agent Johnson," smiling as he uses her new found last name.

"I'm good with it if you leave my name out of it, and the names of my friends, not all of them are on the up and up," most especially Elektra.
Daisy Johnson "Yes! The dumplings. Are they still as good?" Daisy questions then adds, "I will have to steal one." then a nod given when Matt is done with the order. Not that she waits until it arrives, nope, it's work time. She sends the photo over to her computer for a basis, then starts on her decoding, placing the values on a table.

"Oh, an ex. You never told me about those." because really, that's never a good topic. She should know considering her track record. "And you stole it -with- her?" she can imagine the type of ex. But no judging. She chuckles instead even if she sobers up quick enough at the mention there's still more to do about those ninjas.

"And mmm, ok. I will see about getting this info to ShIELD in a more secure manner. Might be good to get some rein into these domestic groups. There's been a lot of unrest cropping up, violence, drugs .., well.., you know what I am talking about of course."

A sigh. "It's our life now, isn't it? I don't regret it though." a pause, "It is good to be here again, Matt."
Matt Murdock "I haven't really been back there except a couple of times," Matt admits of the place. "But when I did, I had dumplings, they're still great."

"Yeah, we didn't really talk about our pasts much," he says and he doesn't seem to be prying into hers now either. Though he chuckles at the part about stealing it with his ex. "Yeah," he says getting where Daisy's mind was going with things. "She's... well, her," he decides on with a chuckle. "Sounds like you've got a few like that too." Okay maybe there's a bit of prying there too, comiserating maybe?

"Well then, take it," he says of the info knowing just what she meant. "You guys have just a few more resources than my friends and I do and so anything SHIELD can do, we'd appreciate it."

He nods, to the part about what their lives had become. "Yeah," he says stepping behind Daisy and wrapping his arms around her waist. "And Daisy, I'm sorry about how things went, I was careless about or date, I should have been more careful."
Daisy Johnson "Really? I am not sure if that's a good thing. Just a couple of times..?" Daisy starts finding the quality of that establishment dubious. But hey, maybe Matt doesn't go out to eat too much. Or perhaps he goes to fancier restaurants! "Are you a big hotshot lawyer now?" she hadn't seen a few things from time to time, over the internet, but never in detail.

"There were a couple, sure." Daisy admits about previous exes, then raises her shoulders, a sigh. "But my life isn't prone to long lasting relationships. There are ..., moments though." and yes, the way her heart beats it's easy to know which ones she is referring to. When she was happy.

The feeling of those arms around her make her shudder, gently, stopping on her work to place one hand atop his. She glances over her shoulder. "Sorry? No no. I .., really shouldn't had put you in that situation, Matt. I was being irresponsible, as usual. Coulson was mad with me, and he was right." then she pulls herself up to place a kiss on Matt's cheek, warm and tender. "I regret nothing though. Some of the best days of my life."
Matt Murdock Matt chuckles, "Not really big shots, but we've mostly stopped being paid in chicken and pie," he says of his status as a lawyer. "But we've really helped people, in Hell's Kitchen and the city at large, so, for a Shark with a Heart, I think I'm doing pretty good."

He chuckles at the name again shaking his head.

Matt nods about her exes, and finds himself smiling at that uptick in her heartbeat, if she's listening she'll find his rises to match.

Matt lets out a soft breath as she touches his hand, contented, though when she takes the blame he shakes his head, "I knew what I was doing when I agreed to help you," he says. "The risk was worth it Daisy," she was worth it. "And look what you've managed to accomplish because of it?" he gestures at her body still humming with the sound of her powers in harmony. "Plus I've got at least ten percent credit for stopping that earthquake you quaked out of existance," he says a bit of a smirk on his lips at that tease.

The kiss on the cheek is leaned into and he brushes his hand against her face in return, "Some of the best of mine too, just regret not getting take out and getting a bit more time."
Daisy Johnson "What? You refuse homemade pies now?" Daisy says as if that was the kind of mistake one should -never- do. But there's a smile there to her voice, she knows how much he wants to help, and how he does. She was living proof of that. "We never discussed our fees either." she teases, then another laugh. "Ok, fine. I deserve Tremors after that one." they were so young back then, when she dubbed him Shark with a Heart. It's still on her mind though, that day their fates met and were woven together.

And indeed she is tuned, it was easy enough to find that pairing again, the way she does when she is with someone she knows more intimately, sensing those vibrations, in the manner that Matt had taught her. But now they are on each other's arms, she relaxing with him. "Hey, that's true at least. I will give you credit on my memoirs." again the teasing tone, a wink, but then her face is turned up to Matt's, her gaze on his face. "We will get takeout now." as if it also meant they could make up for the time they lost. Apparently she still needs to work on her work focus!
Matt Murdock Matt's laugh is warm and real, a rare thing for a man who mostly chuckles, and wryly at that. "Well, I guess the better way to put it, is that we /also/ get paid in cash," he says grinning. "As a matter of fact there's some rhubarb pie in the fridge, but not sure how well that goes with Chinese," he observes wryly. "And sure we did but then I had to give that dollar back," he says about fees. "Besides, you get the old friend discount," he says with a little smile and wrinkle of his nose.

He takes off his shades setting them aside, smiling as he remebers that early meeting, how they were before they decided to take the weight of the world on their shoulders, that pressure changing them. shaping them into the people that they were now.

Matt feels that attunement also, deeper and more resonant than before, a choir compared to a single voice, and it was beautiful music. The tease gets a laugh, one that touches his unfocused eyes.

He feels her glance up at him, and the tension that builds as a result, as usual their timing was horrible, there was still SHIELD to worry about to say nothing of ninjas, both on his side and not, but then what else was new?

"We will," he says, as he leans in to kiss her lips just as warm and tender as the one she placed on his cheek.

Focus? What's that?
Daisy Johnson "Pie goes well with everything. I have no idea what you are talking about..?" As if the notion of chinese and rhubarb not going well together to be absurd. But Daisy laughs, shaking her head to herself, "I like the old friend discounts .., but it does give me an idea that I will have to bring you a pie next time." she murmurs.

She glances down at those glasses when they are put aside, then back up, watching, that attunement having her feel the way they are drawn together, irresistibly so. She turns around to face Matt fully then, her hands coming to rest on his forearms.

And sure, a ninja could jump through a window all of a sudden, or someone in SHIELD decides they need her for a mission or another. Danger. But was it worth it? Definitely. She returns that kiss, one that separated them for two years even if it feels as if it had been just moments ago, a continuation to their past. As it always did when they found each other.

Her lips part and receive his, gentle, soft, savoring each moment, arms moving up to wrap about Matt's neck.
Matt Murdock "Maybe with your tastebuds," Matt retorts still smiling. "Do you bake?" he asks her. If she did, like the codebreaking it was nothing he'd witnessed before.

Then he's drawn in completely by that attunement. That need to feel complete in each other's arms. Even if it always seemed to be temporary.

Matt's lips part in turn, relaxing into the kiss, drinking in the feeling of being with Skye, ahem, Daisy again. When he fianlly parts his lips from hers, his hands are resting on her hips and he smiles down at her, "So, what do you say? Codes, Chinese, and then see where we left things off?"
Daisy Johnson "If I bake ...." Makes Daisy furrow her brows, "Well, youtube is great for recipes?" she tries, but no, she really isn't the type to bake. "I suppose I could try bake one as a test." then a brief grimace. "Or well.., we will see. I am getting way off-focus here already.." a laugh, as they always did when they were together.

They stay there, together for a good, long time. It will still take a while until their food comes afterall. And she wants to savor that kiss, her eyes closing a bit because they really don't need those when they are together, just to touch and feel each other.

With the kiss breaking she lets out a mmhmm, "It is a good plan." eyes re-opening. She looks back down to those codes.
Matt Murdock Yes, a lack of focus was a constant issue with the two of them and Matt chuckles at the thought of the test pie, "This is supposed to be payment right?" he says, yes, totally implying the quality of the pie might be questionable.

Matt's in no hurry to part the kiss, either, it had been so long, and at the same time felt like it was just yesterday when they parted ways. Though when he does finally pull away, smiling softly, he nods. "I thought so," he says before stepping back to let her work.

Okay maybe they could focus a little.
