Owner Pose
Simon Trent      The distillery a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Or rather it's been done up as one. Everywhere one looks the place has been spruced up slightly in order to gain the feel of a strange new world straight out of a superhero flick. Which coincidentally a superhero series is exactly what's been filmed at the moment.

Thick cobwebs hang from the ceiling, bats on little railways have been set to fly at very specific patterns cued by a control board to one side of the production, and the whole place has been given that transylvanian feel to look even more out of a gothic nightmare than gotham normally does.

Lights have been set up on almost every surface providing the perfect coverage for the filming of the day. Massive cameras set on top of dollies ready to pan and swerve their way through the scene.

Standing near the entrance is a small woman only about 5'4" dressed in a bright pink business suit with matching sparkly glasses. She's got vibrant bright red hair and has a number of pins on her lapel from various shows that she's worked on. Her platform shoes attempt to add to her stance of authority as she looks down towards her watch waiting for someone to arrive.

Sat on his chair is a man with pitch black and silver hair dressed in a full dracula attire. His eyes are a bright shade of amber and he swishes his cape around lightly practicing his lines. "Gray Ghost you dare to trespass on my layer? By the time I've finished with you, you shall become my Ghoul Ghost" He throws his arms out to either side before just letting out a low "Ow." Grabbing at the side of his mouth as he attempts to adjust the oversized vampric fangs.

"Can someone remind me why we can't just use CGI for these damnable things?" His accent switched to a very stiff upper crust british as he looks about the set throwing his arms top either side, gone completely the authentic transylvanian accent he had been using just seconds prior. "It's all practical effects with you people."
Peter Parker The Hyperloop does make traveling to Gotham easier than he thought it would be. Still, he does lose a little time switching to the Spider-Suit, but the time saved webslinging over to the filming location more than makes up for it.

So, about five minutes ahead of schedule, Peter Parker of the DAILY BUGLE steps out of the alley (jeez, the alleys are even darker than New York, even during the day) and jogs towards the entrance. He shows the press pass on his lanyard to a bored-looking security guard and gets waved in after a speculative look. Guess the DAILY PLANET doesn't cover EVERYTHING.

Peter Parker wanders into the dimly lit area, hoping he doesn't bump into anything expensive.
Simon Trent      And bump into something he does, or rather someone. TV's Simon Trent who's just managed to arrive slightly before Parker. The problem is while parker may be 5 minutes early Simon seems to be about fifteen late by the look on the producers face as she checks her watch again.

An imposing figure in the Gray Ghost Uniform. Simon Trent stands only at 5'8" And yet he still holds an all too commanding presence. There's an aura of intimidation that wafts off of him as he spins around his gray cape billowing in the air as he makes the turn mirrored goggles looking right into the eyes of Peter. Chiseled features and a gray button down suit beneath the cape. It's unmistakably the Gray Ghost.

All that intimidation blows away in an instant as he leans down with a single finger against his mouth moving to Shhh Parker. It's a naturally disarming charm the sort of thing one might expect from a children's television host. Replacing any intimidation is just that natural joviality.

"Shh, if anyone asks I was here the whole time." He offers with a friendly smile and a light nod of his head towards the other man. "Traffic terries even the tightest of scheduled shenanigans." He moves back up to a stand adjusting himself as he tries to peak around the corner looking for a way to sneak past the woman in pink.
Peter Parker Okay. Peter was...not ready.
He had known Simon Trent being the Grey Ghost in the 80's, and he was expecting...well, not this.

For a few moments, he had been with Uncle Ben and Aunt May as a child, watching the TV show and not caring that the special effects looked dated. He had watched this...PRESENCE...on the screen, and had looked back to Uncle Ben, who had nodded to him with a smile.
The enigmatic hero fought the good fight every episode.

Then the SHH gesture and it was...different. But not in a bad way. It humanized him, actually.

Peter whispered, "...I could run interference for you, Grey Ghost..." Jeez, he just turned TWELVE all over again.
Simon Trent      "A braver sidekick a man could never ask for." Gray Ghost offers with a friendly smile peaking about the corner. "If you can get her to look the other way I should be able to sneak my way in and come out of the bathroom like I was always here." He makes light gesticulations with his hands the rest of his body remaining stoically still as he looks back to Parker. "Trust me if I get caught I'll never hear the end of it."

The redheaded woman pauses for a moment to look up from her watch having heard something. She squints her eyes unable to quite see in the darkness with how bright it is where she's standing causing some degree of night blindness. "Simon?" She asks. "Is that you out there?"

Further back the english vampire looks up from practicing his lines and over towards her, his amber pupils looking towards the back of her head as he moves to set down in his specially marked chair. "It better be him, I can only practice these trite lines so many times before they start to bore into my skull." He lets out a low chuckle.
Peter Parker Parker nodded. "Roger Wilco." He took a deep breath, then stepped out of the shadows, looking every bit like the geeky young man everyone knew and thought little of.
"Hi! Peter Parker, DAILY BUGLE!" He stepped forward to shake the woman's hand, which she allowed with a little bit of standoffishness. "Listen, I really want to thank you for this..." he said, moving around the woman, placing her between him and Simon. The English vampire also looked at Peter, looking slightly irritated.

Which left the woman with her back to Simon, and also having her blocking the view of the English guy.

Watch the hand with the hat, not what the other hand is doing...
Simon Trent      For a man in his late 60's Simon moves with a good deal of grace. He keeps his head low using the shadows as cover for his little escapade. His whole body shrinks down as much as he can make it as he presses himself against the wall maneuvering towards the on site bathroom with grace in his step.

The English vampire pauses for a moment before letting out a low sigh. "The Bugle? We couldn't even get the planet on this production?" He shakes his head looking back down towards his script. "This production just gets better by the moment, I swear part of me wishes I'd listened when my agent said this role was beneath me."

Simon offers a thumbs up once he's past the group slipping into the bathroom soundlessly as he vanishes from sight and from mind. Out into the darkness of the deep corner of the set.

"Oh, you're not who I was expecting." She offers with a low glint of her glasses reflecting Parker in the lenses. "Well not for another five minutes at least" She takes her hand back after a firm shake before motioning around to the set. "Welcome to Gotham Parker, I'm sure it'll be a pleasure working with you if I can find the star of the show where-ever he got off to." She's clearly in a bit of a frazzled mood but then again who wouldn't be given the situation.

Further back a collection of extras pile out of one of the back rooms each one dressed in a G.O.O.N. shirt and black pants with little domino masks to hide their identities. They look more like they belong in a prison than they do working for a skilled vampire.
Peter Parker Peter smiled sheepishly. One of his signature smiles, one that's gotten him out of a few scrapes and lectures.

"Actually...I did take it as a discount. Y'see, my Uncle Ben was a big fan of the show when it came out. He got all the episodes on DVD, and we'd watch him together. It's a great show...something I kinda needed, really. The Grey Ghost was a smart guy who used his head more than his fists. He taught me you could be smart AND fearless."
Simon Trent      "Oh, well in that case I'm glad you could take the job." She offers a friendly smile once Peter has said his part. She looks him over for a brief moment. "At least having someone on board who enjoys the source material should make for better documentation during filming." She pauses for a moment looking back down towards her watch again.

Out from the bathroom strides The Gray Ghost currently putting his hat right back into place on his head as if he'd been in there for some time. "Well hello there friends and foes alike." He practically glides across the ground as he makes his way over to the group a surging confidence about him as he walks right into the lions den.

"And where were you?" She asks looking towards him with a surge of fury behind those eyes. She taps the side of her AR glasses to cycle through documents turning her attention away from parker for a brief moment.

"Unfortunately even a hero of Gotham needs to use the little ghosts room from time to time." He extends out his hand towards Peter. "Simon Trent, I don't believe we've met Mr.?" He asks with a bright and warm smile extending that gloved hand.
Peter Parker Jeez, Peter Benjamin Parker, calm down. Shake the hero's hand, and try not to look or sound like a complete goober.

"Uhm, hello, Grey Ghost...I mean, Mr. Trent."
He was able to do the handshake, but the rest of it was a swing and a miss. "I'm with the BUGLE. I'm here to take the pictures for the photo shoot?"
Simon Trent      "Well now that's exactly what we needed!" Simon offers with a genuine smile. "A solid photoshoot should get people excited for the upcoming series." He leans in towards Peter. "Don't tell anyone but the theme of this season is: Crisis on Twin Earths, and I think it's going to be rather a doozy of a season." He swings his arm to one side having escaped the grasps of a middling handshake. Clear at a glance that the man loves what he does if nothing else as he stands confident.

"Mr.Trent!" The woman in pink offers as she adjusts her glasses. "Could you not give away the plot of the season at every opportunity?" She lets out a disgruntled sigh as she rubs the bridge of her nose before looking over the schedule on her AR glasses. "We're supposed to be keeping that under wraps."
Peter Parker Peter holds up both hands, palms open. "Hey, relax. This conversation is TOTALLY off the record. I know how to keep a secret."

And man, you have kept some DOOZIES, haven't you Petey-boy?

"Anyway, I'm willing to set up wherever. Just let me know what kinds of pictures you are looking for. I can provide fifty shots for the fee you quoted, and we only reserve the rights to post them on the BUGLE'S website."
Simon Trent      "The man should know what he's filming, honestly I don't understand the big need to keep it a secret, people are going to love this season." Simon offers with a bright smile as he holds his arms out to either side.

"Well that's good, but we'll still have you sign a Non disclosure on your way out." The woman in pink offers with a low sigh as she uses her eyes to direct the mouse on her AR glasses to send a memo to her intern for just such an agreement to be printed out.

At this point a second Gray Ghost walks out from the dressing room. His outfit is far more tactical and modern, something that would be expected of a real world crime fighter more so than the very simple grey suit and cape of the original Gray Ghost. He stands at 6'4" and full of muscle with hard body armor covering his midsection and looks like he practically stepped out of a modern day warzone with how strapped down with gear he is.

"We're going to have you take pictures of the set and some behind the scenes shots to make sure that people get the right idea about how our production is going." The woman in pink offers adjusting her glasses once more. "We've already organized out some fake scenes for you to photograph to throw some of the local tabloids off the scent of our projects real storyline."
Peter Parker Peter nodded, taking out what looks like a small red box the size of a matchbox. "Great."
He puts it on a nearby chair, and it unfolds into a small red mini-drone, looking suspiciously like a spider. "I use this for candids and action shots. It's rigged up with a 24-megapixel camera."
He presses his thumb into his palm, and a red light goes on moments before it lifts off.
"Okay, point the way."
Simon Trent      The woman in pink leads the way directing the workers into position. It's a grueling photo shoot over the course of the next several hours. Lots of 'candid' shots of filming in progress and shots of a traditional gray ghost episode in filming. Every step of each shot is professionally directed by the woman in pink as she marks people into position making sure that each shot is cropped just right to tell the story that she's looking for.

The whole time Simon Trent makes the shoot a pleasure with his quick wit and friendly attitude, all smiles and laughs cracking up the entire set several times during the photoshoot. The man has a natural charisma that just seems to make people on set smile and feel comfortable, more like a grandfather figure than the imposing Bright Knight of justice that one would see on the television screen.

About half way through the shoot the second Gray Ghost comes up to Parker. "What the hell is this?" He asks looking over towards the drone. "I can't work like this god damnit." He throws his hands in the air. "This! This is unacceptable." His thick british accent coming through as he storms about set. "He keeps zip zapping around the damn place distracting me, no one said we were going to have kids on set playing with toys."
Peter Parker Peter chuckles. "One, I'm a photographer, and that drone has taken better pictures under harsher conditions. Heck, that drone caught Spider-Man cleaning Doc Ock's clock. It's seen COMBAT. And if you want to see how the pics come out..." He takes out a tablet and opens it to the Gallery app, handing it to Steroid Grey Ghost. "...knock yourself out. Believe me when I tell you it can do things you can barely imagine."

He walks away from the man, muttering under his breath, "...even make YOU look good."

He makes his way over to Simon Trent, smiling wryly. "After Muscles takes a look at the pictures, I'd like you to see how we're doing. I do have to say, you are remarkably photogenic."
Simon Trent      The roided out Gray Ghost takes the pictures in hand and looks them over scanning through to make sure that 'the twerp' got his good side during all the ziping zapping and flying about. He's an impressive figure but is more than a bit of a diva when it comes to the set. One look at him shows he LOOKS the part of a hero, but there's no spirit of a hero within that costume, just an actor looking for a paycheck.

"Well fortunately I've done my part to keep in shape over the years." Simon offers with a lighthearted laugh and a friendly smile as if to apologize for his fellow actors behavior. "Not as much as some people, but I like to keep a sharp edge about me." He sighs low before taking a light sip of his coffee as he sets down in the chair labeled TRENT in big bold letters. "I've got to admit Peter, you've got a knack with the camera drone." He nods his head towards the much younger man. "I can tell just from seeing her zip around the set."
Peter Parker Peter chuckled. "Well, I sorta built it from scratch. Took the camera from a trashed StarkPhone, and the rest of it I put together myself. When you're on a shoestring budget, you have to refine the art of dumpster-diving." He holds up his hand, and Simon can see the thin cloth glove with lines of microcircuitry running along the fingers and back of the hand. "It's how I can take those pictures of Spider-Man. This rides along with him, and when a good photo op shows up, I can activate it remotely anywhere in the city and upload the pictures instantly."
Simon Trent      Simon looks over towards Parker with another genuine smile, an impressed look on his face. "With talent like that I'm surprised you aren't at the head of a fortune 500." He chuckles to himself. "You've certainly got the talent to make it work if nothing else." He adds of a nod of the head his direction. "To even come up with something like that, let alone implement it I couldn't imagine."

"Everyone else has all this fancy technology and here I am still using my PC 5150" He takes another long drink from his coffee cup. "I admit I've fallen off the train when it comes to modern technology. Still can't figure out how to get twitter on that thing."
Peter Parker Peter's smile grew wry. "I've seen Twitter. Trust me. You're not missing MUCH."

He looked over to Muscles. "I'm not Tony Stark, or Steve Jobs. I don't have that kind of ambition. I had it, once...and it turned my head around, and resulted in...a very bad mistake. One worse than anything I'd ever done." He sighed. "I guess it cured me of ambition, at least that kind. But...I do what I can, and I'm content. I like to think I help people, that's my gift. Everyone has a gift. You're a great actor, so that's your gift."
Simon Trent      "I can relate more than you know Peter." Simon offers with a friendly smile a bit of sadness behind those eyes before he lets out another low sigh. "Ambition is one hell of a drug but like most drugs in the end it'll leave you an empty husk if you abuse its use." He sets up on that director style chair watching over towards the set as people mill about readying for the next scene. "The only ambition I've ever had is to see Park Row shine like the diamond she used to be myself, and it's taken everything from me." He sips from his coffee cup again before setting it back down onto the side of his chair.

"Sometimes Peter" He looks off towards a spot of empty ground where no one is standing, but for him the Gray Ghost looks back standing tall and intimidating in silence. "Sometimes I wish I had the strength to be a helper, to be more than Simon Trent actor."

He then shakes his head breaking eye contact with the apparition. "But you're right acting is my gift, it's my raison d'etre, I act therefore I am."

The musclebound man in the gray ghost costume lets out a low pfft as he finishes looking over the pictures. "Good work, for an amateur." He tosses the contents back over towards Parker before walking off towards the craft services table snagging his script so that he can go back over his lines once more.
Peter Parker Peter smirked, then handed the tablet to Trent. "Tap each picture and swipe left or right to see the rest of them. If there's any of them you really like, tap the screen twice to highlight it."

He is quiet for a moment. "It's not just that. You inspire people. I mean, there are a lot of people online who find the Grey Ghost to be a role model. I mean..." He looks back to Simon, then adds, "...I certainly know Spider-Man's a pretty big fan, too. Would you like to meet him sometime?"
Simon Trent      Even given the instructions Simon is still a bit fiddly when it comes to the new technology. He swipes several times by mistake instead of just once then swipes back one too many times for comfort. There's a look of consternation across his face as he attempts to wrangle the device and still maintain a decent conversation.

"Well the ones I can see are certainly high quality." He chuckles as he tries to swipe again, still not quite getting exactly how it's supposed to work even as simple as the controls are. "I can tell that you're selling yourself short." He pauses for a moment at the mention of meeting spider-man.

He's silent for a long moment before he turns with another friendly expression across his face. "Well if he'd like to meet an old actor who am I to say no?" He chuckles, obviously elated that a genuine super hero might be interested in his work. There's a bright twinkle in his eye as he speaks. "I mean if he has the time of course."
Peter Parker Peter grins. "For you, I think he'd MAKE the time. I've have to finish the shoot, but after that, I think I can wrangle an invite. I'm sure you and him would have a LOT to talk about."
Simon Trent      "I'll certainly make the time for the meeting myself, there's always time to meet a fan." He puffs himself up slightly a bright aura about Simon as he looks over from his chair.

In the background there's some shouting going on as it seems Roidman has managed to get another member of the crew on his bad side. A one sided shouting match about the lighting for his scene echoing out through the halls of the brewery, the woman in pink power walks past the two of them relaxing in between scenes to see what on earth is going on along with several other members of the crew.

From that back area the English vampire walks with hands in his pockets eyebrows raised as he just offers a quiet. "Primadana" in a stage whisper while walking over towards his own seat still fiddling with the placement of his fake teeth.
Peter Parker Peter nods, then looks at the tablet. "Uhm, sir, think of it like turning the pages of a book." He demonstrates by swiping his fingertip lightly over the screen, the photo sliding in that direction out of frame to reveal a different photo.

"If you want to look through those while I take pics of The Vampire Let's-Go, feel free. I have to get at least twenty of him."
He looked over at the English vampire. *I went up against Dracula's daughter, Lilith. You're not even in the same sport, let alone the ballpark.*

But, because this is a paying job, he is not allowed to say what he feels.
Simon Trent      The work photographing the vampire takes its time, and certainly it is a good deal of time to get the photos just right for the website. His costume is fairly cheep even for this production but the poor lighting more than makes up for the disadvantages of the relatively low cost costuming.

The entire time of the photographing Roidman seems to be shouting up a storm until someone can calm him down. One of the crew uses their cellphone to capture part of the freakout from behind the scenes.

Simon on the other hand now that he knows how to swipe the pictures takes his sweet time going through them looking over with a genuinely impressed expression. He selects a fair few that look particularly good to him with a quick double tap as instructed and tries to deselect the ones that he'd accidentally managed to select during his flailing against the pad a few moments prior.
Peter Parker Peter finishes what HAS to be the last picture of Simon Trent 2.0 (new version, but still in beta) and collects the drone. "Okay...that's it, I've got all the pics you want. Expect an email link to the pics in five minutes."

He walks back to Simon, groaning. "PLEASE tell me he has a better personality than what I'm seeing now." He plops down in a chair, then takes a deep breath. "I'm going to go in a few minutes. Process these shots, clean them up a little. If you want, I can ask Spidey to come by after I leave. A little of your muscular doppleganger goes a LONG way."
Simon Trent      "He's a skilled actor that much can be said." Simon offers as a half-reassurance looking over towards Peter. "Not much better than first impressions I'm afraid when it comes to off camera" Spoken with a bit of disappointment. "He's far from my pick for the new Gray Ghost, but he's got talent in spades and the connections to make it in Hollywood."

Simon shakes his head a little bit with a light sigh still finding it difficult to speak poorly about another on set. He still offers a smile towards Parker as the younger man readies to go out. "Trust me the final product will be well worth it, we're all putting our all into it."

"I'd love the opportunity, I'll head out for a smoke break and he'll be able to have a chat with me then." He pulls a worn down wooden pipe from his uniform and sticks it into the corner of his mouth with that friendly smile of his.
Peter Parker Peter nods, then stands up. "Nice to mee you, Mr. Trent. My uncle would have loved to meet you in person. I think you and he would have gotten along pretty easily."
He bows slightly, then takes the tablet and heads for the door.
And with that, the young man with the flying camera exeunts, stage left.
