Billy Batson A lazy Sunday. A nearly deserted plaza and perched atop the roof of the main building of the Happy Harbor High School, a lone heroic figure, his white cape flapping in the breeze. He surveys the area and then produces a flute from the bag he brought along. Soft music, inaudible to the plaza goers begins. Before he transformed he could play scales and a few simple songs. But now, speed and wisdom combine and he plays a decent version of the Magic Flute, a notoriously difficult tune. Angelica played that for him. Angelica gave Billy the flute and began his instruction Billy wasn't very good yet. He finishes. He lays the flute alongside his cheek, wonders where she is.

"For you Angelica Jones. I hope you're well. I... wish I could see you. I'd fight Superman for you."
Nick Drago For what typically would be considered a day of rest, Mike's been pretty busy this Sunday. His weekly obligation taken care off by arising early, the musician hasn't even gone home to change out of his Sunday attire. The long hair is pulled back into a neat ponytail and in lieu of the usual jeans and t-shirt, he is instead wearing dress pants and a pale blue dres shirt. Since church is well past over and there's a matter of comfort, the top few buttons are undone. As for the tie that went with it? Well that's been removed, rolled up, and placed into a pocket. There is no jacket to pair with it. It'd be too hot for such a thing.

So what on earth would cause for Mike to continue on with today's errands without stopping by the condo to change out? Well, judging from the tired look on his face, if he went home, he'd probably would have gone straight to bed. Which, would not do for taking care of errands. And one such errand involved dropping off some paperwork at the school. On a Sunday.

Well, task completed, Mike's on his way out when the sound of - above high school level flute playing reaches his ears. Curious, the musician's head turns, following the source of the sound. And he ends up looking upwards, towards the roof. Dammit. Did some students get roof access? That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Billy Batson Shazam looks down, sees his workaholic part time boss and shrugs. Billy could have brought those papers for him. Then he realized he hadn't been Billy since... movie night. He arrived in time for A New Hope and did not stay long. He left, changed and flew to Iceland watched the Aurorae. Then... more flying around. He hadn't become Billy since then actually. He saw no reason to.
Nick Drago As the musician looks up and the hero looks down, the pair end up looking to each other at the same time. Well, at the very least when he sees the red attired cape wearing flautist, Mike is assured that it is not a student on the roof as initially worried about. But there are other questions that come to mind. For one, what is Shazam doing here?

Lifting up a hand, he waves to the hero in greeting.
Billy Batson Shazam gives a nod and continues playing the flute. This time a little ditty popular in the Bronze Age. Solomon enjoyed it. He doesn't seem inclined to move yet. He's just enjoying the breeze up there and the music. Now he plays louder and the few students, living at the dorms for the most parthear it and look up and point. Shazam gives them a nod too.
Nick Drago Mike gives a slight smile as Shazam starts playing some more. Tilting his head, he glances behind him to confirm a nearby bench is empty before sitting upon it. Well.

If Shazam's giving a concert and it's not absolutely horrible. Who is he to stop it? Also, Wade has gotten on his case about taking breaks again so... consider it advice followed.
Billy Batson "Seriously, why don't they get Power Girl or Captain Marvel to kick his ass and keep him out of here. He acts like he's one of us and now like he's above us?" says a young would be influencer, a little loudly.

A few phones come out to record the world's mightiest flautist.

A couple of sharp ears catch it and Shazam drops down. Drops down. He doesn't fly so much as plummet. his landing is felt though he doesn't crack the pavement, he must have stunned it. He regards his detractors with a neutral expression. e regards Mike for a moment.
Nick Drago Mike doesn't even look to the influencer. "For someone attending a school that is promoting tolerance, you haven't been getting the point." He comments, glancing up once more to see Shazam falling down.

What th-?

Mike is somewhat glad he is sitting down when Shazam makes his landing. He's not sure if the force of it would have been helpful towards his ability to remain standing. Either way, it seems the student was overheard so... yeah.

Mike stands up, smiling to Shazam, clapping his hands. "Very good playing, Shazam. Very nice of you to come treat us with a bit of a concert. You know, there's a kid in our work study program who also is learning the flute. He'd probably get a kick out of knowing you play it too."
Billy Batson Shazam shrugs. "Wisdom of Solomon lets me read all Earthly languages, including music. Speed of Mercury lets me read the music in a moment and play it with perfect timing. I only needed to learn finger placement. It's harder for the kid. thank you for the defense Mr. Hannigan. Not that it matters. I'm outta here. San Francisco... Chicago... maybe Fawcett City will be more welcoming. Maybe Metropolis."
Nick Drago "I'm sure it will be harder on him. But, that you choose to play the flute is kind of a nice endorsement of the instrument choice." Mike points out, smile still present, "As for what was said, don't let it bother you. I know from experience that no matter where you go there will be at least one person who will criticize and they don't need a valid reason for it. Some people aren't happy unless they're bringing others down. The trick is to ignore them. Not run away."
Billy Batson Shazam smiles and says, "Then I'll try to run towards someone or something. There's a wonderful person I lost, somewhere. I'm going to find her. I deserve at least that. I can be myself. I just need to find her. She might even need help."
Nick Drago Seeing a change in motivation to something that seems more positive. Mike gives a nod. "Alright. Checking up on others to see how they're doing seems alright." Mike comments. And it beats running away from the comments of some random teen. "Good luck finding them."
Billy Batson Shazam still deadpan. He looks to the sky and then is a streak of red, white, and gold. Some silver lightning remains in his wake. He's a bright star for a moment and then is gone.
