Bart Allen Central Plaza of Happy Harbor was pretty much where all the students could come together and not worry about a teacher looking over their shoulder. Thus, its a favorite hangout spot! For one student in particular: Bart Allen.

When not shadowing as Kid Flash, Bart likes to come here and pretty much snack on all of his leftover treats. Hey, if you're super fast, let 'em know that you're super hungry too.

He sits on one of the high raises that leads to a piece of abstract art, wearing a red longsleeve shirt with somewhat baggy dark jeans. He wears a flash emblem on the chest, but thats just because he's a fan of the main man Flash. He's currently alone, but he does wave at the people he knows.
Naomi McDuffie Walking into the plaza, Naomi stops upon seeing the area. She had been through here a couple of times but she hadn't really stopped as she had been looking at or for something. Now, she stops and takes it in. She has in her hand a bag of jerky and is chewing on a piece when she notices the people moving about. She takes a hand up to push up her glasses and shifts her jacket some before she goes back to the jerky. Darn burning energy powers flowing through her. Basically burning up her metabolism like crazy.

Of course, she spots a place to sit but it is already somewhat occupied. Sure, there's plenty of room but she doesn't really know Bart. Either way, though, she takes herself over that way and smiles at him from behind those glasses and then settles into a spot nearby and pulls out her phone.
Bart Allen Two metabolism supers?! Who woulda thunk it?

Probably someone who really likes giving people metabolism-based powers. Though Bart's just speed force. A great time, if you think about it. But, considering that everybody else is ultra-slow, by Bart's speedy perceptions, He wanders on over to Naomi when he spots her, deciding to make a new friend.

"Heeeeyyyyy there neighbor, don't think I've seen you around before. Name's Bart. Or Allen, or Bart Allen, all crash." He smiles at her and extends a hand. In his other hand is a bag of doritos...a big bag of doritos, that appears half-eaten.
Naomi McDuffie A blink as Bart approaches and she smiles, "Hey." She nods her head, "I'm Naomi." She states simply enough, "Naomi McDuffie. Naomi is fine though." She nods her head as she takes his hand and gives it a small shake before she takes a bit of jerkey and then blinks. "Uh, want some jerky?" She asks and chews on her piece with a nod to him as she then looks around, "Popular place."
Bart Allen Bart smiles beautiflly at Naomi - or nerdilly, depending on your preference of things. But he gives her hand a firm shake. "Would love some jerky! Fun stuff, eating it, feel like you can just chew it forever." Dude must be hyperactive, because he's talking like ninety miles a minute.

"Want some doritoes?" He asks, and offers the bag to her to take her pick. "Extremely! This is like the only place in Happy Harbor where there's not someone looming over your shoulder. Hah! Good times, gettin' in trouble for doing something out of the ordinary. Speakin' of which, you don't look ordinary at all. You hit the gym?"

Bart Allen, not afraid to ask personal questions.
Naomi McDuffie A blink at him and then she looks down at her loose clothing and she frowns. She had tried to pick out something loose enough to try to hide the majority of her frame. She looks up at him and then tries to play it off, "Nah, I don't really do that sort of thing. I mean, I try to keep in shape somewhat but it's not really my most important thing." She nods her head as she takes some doritos and nods to him, "Thanks for the Doritos." She nods her head and then adjusts her glasses again before chowing down on a couple of chips, just saying as she finishes swallowing, "I mean, I'm not sure what about me isn't ordinary." She laughs.
Bart Allen Bart chuckles at Naomi for a second, keeping the bag out in case she wants more while they talk. "Hah! I was more implying that I thought you were pretty...and pretty tall! Thats impressive!" Of course, Bart doesn't know a lot of women who are tall, so this is like cloud nine for him.

Which is kind of mean and ignorant to think about, but hey.

"Besides, ordinary is boring! Be other than ordinary. Crash the mode!" Bart is now talking with his hands.
Naomi McDuffie A smile and then she laughs a little, "Oh, thanks, I guess." She nods her head as she gives back his Doritos for her jerky and then she blinks, "I've never heard anyone say crash the mode. I can kinda guess what it means but where is that from? Is that a New York thing?" She asks and looks to the side, "I'm from Oregon. Small town Oregon at that so not even really much going on there but I am online and I've not heard it."
Bart Allen Bart smirks just a little bit, but then he shrugs and rubs the back of his neck. "Yeaaaahhh not from around here. Just a little bit of vernacularility from my neighborhood." which is...where, exactly? Bart kinda distances himself from it. He was even about to ask where she was from before she states that she's from Oregon.

"Home of the Trail!" Oregon Trail. "Don't meet a lotta people from the Midwestern area. What brings you up here to this dump? New York doesn't sound very crash compared to more calm living." But he doesn't seem to be judging.

Much.
Naomi McDuffie A smile at him and then she shrugs, "Family issues, what else?" She asks of no one in particular before she grins and nods her head, "It's just the way it is." She nods again before she looks over at the area around as if trying to search for another topic, "Lets just saying, my family is weird and now I'm here." She looks back at him, "Dad has military issues to say the least." She nods again and that is technically very true. She then looks to him, "And Oregon is boring as hell. So, kind of a nice change."
Bart Allen Bart seems to frown for a brief moment when Naomi mentions that she has family trouble, and then Bart just decides to shut up for a time so he can listen closely to what she wants and has to say. "Sorry to hear that, definitely not crash. Not crash at all. Wish I could make it better, but if the military and all that is involved, not much I can do except chatter their ears off."

He pats her on the back if permitted, and Bart smiles. "Buuuut I wouldn't worry about it. Your here now, so we can all be your family. I think there's a song about it, is it 'we are family?'"
Naomi McDuffie A laugh and then she shakes her head, "Lets not start singing." Naomi states and smiles before nodding her head, "But yes, there is a song like that. I appreciate it, Bart. I don't mind having another family while I am here. I won't be here very long though." She nods her head, "I have only this semester to go before I am done."
Bart Allen Bart chuckles. "Fair enough. Though in that case, just do what some other people do: just tank a few classes so you have to stay in, no sweat." He teases her, though he does laugh to imply that he's joking about that. "Heh, but seriously, I won't mind. Friendships last forever, not a semester. We'll always be around if you need us. So don't be afraid to make a few friends here and there. Though I definitely wouldn't say no to another bite of jerky."

Bart winks at her playfully then.

"Oh and uh, if you invite me over anywhere, don't be surprise if more than half of your food storage is gone. Love to eat, lemme tell ya."
Naomi McDuffie A smile and she nods, "I'll do that." She states simply enough and then offers the bag over, "Grab another piece if you want." She nods again before smiling and shrugging, "And at this rate, I'd be surprised if you can find any food where I live." She nods, "I tend to run out of food quickly." Especially lately, though she keeps that to herself. She has started to notice just how hungry she gets. She then shrugs, "It's gonna be a fun semester I think though I am not looking forward to all the odd rules." She shrugs, "Looks nice though."
