Shredder     The Foot has been expanding. More warehouses are under their control lately, and some of them are even legitimate ones. It's hard to keep track for anyone in the organization, let alone anyone out of it. The particular one they've recently taken control of is a legitimate one. It's one most people wouldn't take much note of, but an alien device has recently entered it.

Yesterday's theft was a success, and so tonight, Shredder's scientists are currently working on deciphering it in a lab that's been constructed in this particular warehouse. It's a good place to build a lab, since circuits, cables, and other components to create testing equipment pass through frequently. Up on the roof, a sole Foot ninja is perched, watching the area. It isn't a highly contested space at the moment, so at least on the exterior, there isn't a lot of defense.
Otto Octavius The sound of metal pounding through brick is the first sign the Foot ninja has of anything. It's over the side of the building. The far side.
Shredder     The young shinobi turns, looking around as he draws his ninja-to. He raises from his perch, and starts sprinting in the direction of the sound, far more silently than the pounding on the opposite side of the warehouse.
Otto Octavius One metallic tentacle. Two. Three. Within moments, Otto Octavius is in plain view on the rooftop, with his last tentacle coming up behind him.

No sooner than he's within sight though, two tentacles latch out, grabbing and /tearing/ up a portion of the roof, before throwing the piece with such force at the ninja that it would no doubt send him cannoning away if it hits.
Shredder     The ninja's stunned by the sight. He certainly wasn't expecting that. He backpedals, sliding to his rear as he tries to stop along the sheet metal roof, and raises his blade to protect himself as he slides under the thrown metal. It strikes him in the hand and blade, the sword clattering away as he comes to a stop in front of Octavius.

He looks up helplessly, and curls into a ball, anticipating an attack that would come next. Not nearly as trained as some ninjas might be.

Below in the warehouse, the activity definitely sparks attention, as Karai stands talking with one of the scientists about her observations. Several more Foot are inside, the interior security a bit heavier. They aren't plentiful, though, only a team of four joining her. Everyone else? They are workers or scientists.
Otto Octavius It's fast, immediate. The sheer speed of the tentacle probably takes the ninja by surprise as he tries to curl up into a ball. The pincer grabs him by the leg, then drags him over near Otto... and up, effortlessly.

Three tentacles support his weight as one holds the ninja in the air. Those below can easily hear the metallic tentacles 'walking' over the roof.

Otto isn't being subtle. At all.

"What's in there?!" Otto sneers at the man, his goggles only masking the malice from his eyes... not from the eyebrows.
Shredder     Karai looks up, and signals the team of ninjas within. The Foot soldiers file out, moving to the corners of the building as she looks at the damaged roof. She draws her own pair of blades, and rushes to the second level by way of vaulting up the supply crates in the warehouse, landing on the catwalk as she makes her way to the damaged portion of the roof.

"I-it's a warehouse!" the voice is probably a teen, not even fully grown. "Please don't kill me!" he begs. Not the most helpful of information, but it seems to be more because of his state of panic than because he's actively resisting.
Otto Octavius Useless and uninformative. He'll just have to go down himself.

He casually brings the tentacle over the side, holding the ninja in the air. Tossing him over would be a waste. He might prove useful as a hostage.

With that, Otto begins walking over the rooftop, trying to find a skywindow he can just break through...
Shredder     The ninja tries to pull himself up, clutching onto the tentacle as he's carried about. He isn't trying to free himself, though, it seems he's more concerned that he might fall as he holds onto it for dear life.
Outside, though, two of the four ninjas appear, scaling the roof outside the building just as Otto makes it to a sky window that could give access. All that work climbing, and they probably are just too late.
Otto Octavius The ninja being held is suddenly tossed across the roof with enough force to go to the other side of the rooftop... and stops just before the edge intentionally. The tentacle, now freed, slams down through the window as the three other tentacles suddenly flow down inside.

Within moments, Otto is 'walking' along the ceiling of the warehouse, surveying inside.
Shredder     The ninja slides to a stop near the edge, just as his ally gets to the top. Three ninjas are now on the roof to help him while the last still scales a bit slower. They are all just too slow, though, as their long journey up has ended with catching a sight of Otto disappearing inside the warehouse.

"Interesting tech," comes Karai's voice as she stands on the catwalk on the second level. "But you're using on the wrong place. This is the property of the Foot Clan," she says. "And you're trespassing." The Japanese girl is young, hardly a formidable presence. It's possible she isn't even old enough to vote. But she has the attitude as if she runs the show as she stands without fear, her blades drawn.
Otto Octavius "I wasn't asking permission, little girl." Otto replies, two tentacles moving over to the catwalk she's on. One pincer moves to the wall mounting. The other to the bottom portion of the railing where it connects to the 'floor' of the catwalk... and Otto /pulls/ rapidly starting to tear it apart.

The two tentacles remaining keep 'walking' along the rooftop, keeping Otto moving even as the other two turn Karai's walking space into so much slag with a metallic /screech/.
Shredder     A smug half grin crosses the girl's face. "Yeah, that's why it's trespassing." As Otto grabs the catwalk, she leaps into action to vault from the destruction, seeking to bypass all of the tentacles as her jump comes very precisely in the direction of Otto's body primarily. After all, he looks pretty human. Her foot snaps out with a well practiced kick, aimed for the intruder's diaphram.
Otto Octavius Of course, that's what they all think: They think they can just go right for Otto, but those tentacles?

Those tentacles are MUCH faster than most people are, and one of them retracts rapidly and move in front of Otto as a shield. A shield Karai is directly kicking at.

The other tentacle comes in from the side. If she tries to use that tentacle as leverage, the other will punish her for it.
Shredder     As her kick turns into a landing, Karai's attentiveness does catch the incoming second attack as she plants against the metal appendage. She snaps her attention to the second tentacle, conscious of how many are required to keep him aloft. He has only a two point security on his hold now. She vaults straight up and toward one of the two that are attached to the ceiling, and thrusts her ninja-to at the joint of the grip, hoping to force it to release. Of course, it means she needs leverage, and so she has to leap onto that same tentacle she hopes to destabilize, and hopes to force him to crash.
Otto Octavius Of course, it's a bit like trying to wedge an anvil off the roof with just a crowbar, using her sword like that. The pincer doesn't even achknowledge the force she's using.

"Cute, and clever." He sneers at her from below, "but not enough for Doctor Octopus, little girl."

The tentacle meant to shield him suddenly goes rod straight and starts to thrust right toward her, with deadly intent.
Shredder     Karai clenches her teeth as the sword thrust is completely ineffective. New information gained at least. She looks down to see a third tentacle snap up toward her, and she desperate tries to lunge out of the way by swinging around the tentacle she holds.

She's almost fast enough. Her steel shinguard rings as the tentacle strikes it, changing her trajectory enough that she loses both grip and orientation, falling from her position and losing one of her two blades as it falls away. She herself topples downward, a frantic hand snatching out to catch the coat that Otto wears to keep herself from falling all the way to the ground.

It's just then that two of the ninjas appear in the hole above, one with a quarterstaff, the other with a kuri-sama. The one with the kuri-sama sees his boss in trouble, and wastes no time flinging the chain out to try to catch the fourth tentacle, completely unaware of just how powerful they are.
Otto Octavius Karai is ignored for the moment, the two free tentacles idling briefly, before the chain is flung for it.

Otto gives a smug smirk... then suddenly /pulls/ with the tentacle, to yank the ninja off the roof, directly down into the warehouse.

All the while, Otto is 'walking' along the rooftop over to the device that was brought in the other day... the other free tentacle moving to try to wrap around Karai as she pulls at his overcoat, to try to pull her off of him.
Shredder     The Foot soldier tries to pull back against the tentacle, which was a mistake, and he comes flying straight down into the warehouse with a scream. He lands on his feet, though from such a height the pop of bones can make it certain that he just broke both legs.

Karai takes her second blade as the tentacle comes across, and slashes down at Otto's back, unaware that it's protected under that coat. The blade cuts through the coat, but is prevented from being any damage to his back by the presence of the harness. Of course, if the blade gets all the way down, he might have to worry about what happens below the harness as she drops to ghe floor of the warehouse below and between two towers of material crates.
Otto Octavius That could have actually /hurt/. Both tentacles come up behind himself, and using their 'eyes' as a guide, Otto moves to grab Karai off of him... and doesn't stop.

She'll either have to be trapped by those tentacles, or leap off, because those tentacles are far more agile than a human is.

On the bright side for her, he's just above the device and has stopped 'walking' across the roof of the warehouse now...
Shredder     Karai's arm is caught as she drops, and she tries futily to break the grip through maneuvers that she has well practiced. Only this isn't a human hand that's holding her. She grunts and pulls a smoke pellet from her pouch, chunking it at Otto to give him something else to focus on as the second ninja throws his quarterstaff like a spear to try to distract him. That ninja doesn't seem confident in wanting to leap down into the fray. Not after seeing what happened to his ally.
Otto Octavius The pellet doesn't get into his eyes... but he can't attack what he can't see.

Still, Otto isn't stupid, and instead of sitting there, those tentacles retract into formation, and suddenly he 'jumps' from the roof onto the side of the building on the inside with all four tentacles, out of the cloud.

A moment later, after he's gotten his bearings, one tentacle remains attached to the wall while the other three are in a defensive formation as he assesses.

Karai will probably recognize the telltale signs of a calculating, tactical mind considering possibilities at work as she watches Otto. This is not a man to take lightly.
Shredder     The lightweight ninja drops to the floor, landing in a crouch as she looks back up at Otto. Karai does know the signs of someone who is calculating their options. Otto is a brilliant scientist. Karai, on the other hand, is a warrior. A foe who is trying to weigh their options is one often exploitable in their hesitation.

"Foot, harvest those arms. Blind fight!" she declares. Harvest? Little is done to explain what she means, but Otto isn't given much time to ponder the statement.

The ninja from the roof drops down from the roof to the catwalk a good several strides in front of Otto. He pulls out two more smoke pellets, following Karai's example, and throws them not at Otto, but to burst against the ceiling in front of him to reduce his vision further.
Otto Octavius So, they think they can keep doing that? He has no idea how many pellets they have, but he bought himself a bit of space between, so it should be easy enough to take a moment for things...

Instead of jumping away again, Otto brings up those tentacles and they begin to spin. At first, it's like he's having coordination issues as he figures out the calculations for it... but soon, there's a gigantic fan in front of Otto that also protects his sides as the smoke is quickly cleared away to the other side of the warehouse.

From there, Otto jumps from the wall, directly towards that ninja, two tentacles lashing out to try to grab his legs as his other two tentacles form to brake his fall to the ground.
Shredder     Karai is gone as he comes forward, her exact location may be a bit hard to spot initially. The Foot soldier that is dived at leaps backward desperately, avoiding the grab but landing on his back as he reaches for his shuriken, throwing them to distract as he tries to get distance.

Then Karai's position from below and behind is announced as she throws a few shuriken of her own, but hers are at the back of the menace that threatens their operations. "I need an electric now," she says, possibly into an communication device. She's calling for backup.
Otto Octavius Instead of stopping as he tries and fails to grab, he turns around and all four tentacles lash out as he starts to grab up heavy objects from around the warehouse... including ripping electrical objects out of the walls, to start throwing them at the various combatants in the room.

Those tentacles are a serious threat, they're basically super strength in themselves.

"Your pretty code words won't save you from me!" Otto sneers as he moves around the warehouse, throwing everything inside it around, turning the place into a chaotic mess.
Shredder     "This is out of hand," Karai growls, realizing that Otto's strength makes him very difficult to beat with their current equipment. "Scorch it! Get everyone out!" She doesn't know what Otto is here for, but at this point it's a question of whether it will be his or nobody's. She dives, the other ninja dives, the workers dive. Some of them manage to avoid impact, others aren't so lucky.

"You've made the wrong enemy tonight!" she announces to the intruder. Another ninja appears shortly from a side room, holding from a rope a linen ball that he lights on fire with a lighter.
Otto Octavius "I'm a man of science, and you're getting in my way." Otto shoots back, "You have something I need, and you're obviously not going to just give it to me!" Otto continues as he starts to assess the supporting structures in the warehouse.

He needed to finish this quickly. He can escape easily... but they obviously consider this place their own. Instead of wasting energy, Otto switches tactics, 'jumps' over to a support pillar, and grabs it with three tentacles, "Give me ten minutes in here, or I bring this place down around you."
Shredder     "We'll bring it down first," Karai answers. As if on cue, the ninja with the flaming ball swings it, throwing it into a collection of cardboard bound supplies. It erupts into flames, and Karai holds up a fist. In all corners of the warehouse, workers and combatants alike start to scatter.
Otto Octavius Those cardboard bound supplies? Otto brings up a tentacles to grab them and kurl them at Karai. Meanwhile, his other three tentacles start 'running' right for the object he was looking for in the first place...

He can probably manage to bring the object with him on one tentacle; the free one that just tossed the flaming mess at Karai.
Shredder     Karai dips below a hurtling fireball, nimbly rolling to a ready position as she sees her people getting out. What Otto was looking for? She doesn't know, but she watches another fireball lob to another part of the warehouse to destroy more supplies. An expensive way to thumb the nose, but it's a matter of principle. Once that has landed, she ducks herself out of the building as well. She smells like smoke as she hops into the passenger side of a box truck manned by one of their drivers.

"We need to inform the Master. Someone has decided that it's acceptable to steal from us," she says, looking in the mirror as they start to drive away.
