Owner Pose
Bruce Wayne Date night, such as it is, usually consists of a patrol together. Enjoying the Gotham nightlife is not usually an option for Bruce, at least not in the typical sense. It's also not so much a 'night' as it is the few hours between noon and 3:00 PM that are as equitable to 'free time' as anything in the life of the Dark Knight is going to get.

The sofa in the family room is large, dominating the center of a room that is more like a private cinema than anything else. Bruce returns from the kitchen with a large, plastic bowl filled with (partly burnt) popcorn. He hands it to Selina as he sits down, picking the remote up in one hand.

"The King and I," he tells her, flicking through the menus on the screen, "Ever seen it?"
Selina Kyle Selina is a greedy sort, though not especially NEEDY per se. She can live without being the constant center of a man's attention; she can live without spending simple quality time; with them both being... unusual people...

But that doesn't necessarily mean she always WANTS to.

So there's a certain relief in finding an evening - well, afternoon - alone in the Manor, her legs curled up on the couch with a blanket over her. She takes a piece of popcorn, and turns it over with a brief squint of appraisal. She arches an eyebrow briefly, then grins innocently when she makes eyecontact with Bruce, popping it into her mouth to save face.

"Hmmmmm." She muses, leaning back against the couch. "Bit and pieces. Enough to get two or three lines of a song stuck in my head off and on. You?"
Bruce Wayne "One of my mother's favorites," Bruce confides settling down on the couch alongside Selina, "We watched it once a month without fail. Then Alfred would make Khao Pad for dinner."

There's the faintest line of a smile on his face, accompanied by a faraway look as though remembering a time that can never be recaptured. He quickly packs it all back into whatever compartment he offers, taking a handful of popcorn and popping a few pieces into his mouth.

"I burnt it," he states flatly.
Selina Kyle "Oh ho. We're getting into Wayne traditions~" Selina teases, and smiles up at Bruce. Bruce guards himself well enough that Selina isn't too familiar with the expression she sees. It makes her brow furrow slightly with concern... and her eyes twinkle a little with curiosity.

Regarding the popcorn, having put two more pieces in her mouth, Selina exclaims "Did you!?" with polite, high pitched surprise at the notion, her voice slightly muffled. "Seems fine." She assures him, though she chews slower and slower, clearly making a very brave face about her attempts to eat it.

She knows full well it won't fool him, that's what makes it fun.
Bruce Wayne "You'd think you'd be a better liar given your profession," Bruce says with a faint smirk. Profession? Former profession? They haven't really touched on that fully. Certainly, the evidence would suggest she's left theft behind, but it's felt like that before, too. He dismisses it. Not worth worrying about right now.

"I can cook more," he suggests, "But I'd probably just burn it again."

That said, he lifts the remote to start the movie.
Selina Kyle "Mmmmmm, I dunno what you're talking about~" Selina purrs, "I've been a perfect angel." It's not like Selina's been in any rush to address her current... employment status. Selina has seemed to choose to stop before. There'd even been times when it seemed she had no choice - whether due to an enemy's actions, or those of Batman himself - but if there's on constant in this world, it's that Selina Kyle Does What She Wants.

Here's hoping she wants this.

"Noooooo, that's okay." She sighs breezily. "You can make it up to me by being warm for a little while." What does she mean by that? Well, she punctuates the statement by leaning against Bruce's side on the couch, angled so that she can see the movie, so... there are clues, certainly.
Bruce Wayne After a moment, Bruce leans back into the sofa as well. He extends one arm to drape over Selina's shoulders, tossing the remote to one side as the opening of the movie plays. As the music plays, his fingers drum softly against her shoulder in time with it.

And he's warm.
