Mania There is a table Sweet Dreams, located in Happy Harbor, that is taken up by someone keeping mainly to herself. A couple empty bowls are already set out, while a third is being worked on. It is a chocolate lover's paradise, with every part of it consisting of chocolate something: the ice cream itself, with chocolate chips mixed in, sprinkles, fudge, even a chocolatey sort of whipped cream.

In between bites, Andi Benton scans the nightclub area. It's a fairly normal night, not too full of people but also not too light either. While she is dressed in her usual goth/punk attire, blacks and purples, at least the expression on her face after each bite is a pleased one. Inside, Mania is very content.
Saeko The modern work and indeed the West had been a heck of a change for Saeko. What it -did- however have that she'd come to adore was the modern foods. Strawberries? Chocolates? Icecream? All of those hadn't really been offerings she'd recieved until the modern age and now that she was on Earth herself taking a more direct interest? Well, she could take a more direct sampling too.

With that in mind, the unearthly beautiful vixen had supressed her fox-like traights, her ears and tails hidden away to have her looking like a normal if not still quite attractive human as she pushed through the door. Her own attire was more simple and a little less revealing than her usual yukata, Saeko having swapped for simple black jeans and a deep-necklined white shirt as she made her way through the door excitedly.

Apparently the divine spirit had a sweet tooth!
Mania //We could do this all night, Andi.//
<<Well, we're not going to. Maybe three more bowls and that's enough.>>
//But we are just getting started! And there is more chocolate here!//
<<You need to learn this thing called 'moderation.'>>
//We know what that is. It does not apply to chocolate.//

An internal conversation is taking place where Andi sits, leading to a pause in the chocolate consumption. This leads to her eyes settling on the door, a hand brushing a few strands of purple hair away from an eye. It reveals a piercing at the brow, and she has more visible elsewhere. Nose, two in the lips, and of course the ears. Fingernails are painted black.

That same pierced brow rises slowly at Saeko's arrival, then she squints in the visitor's direction. Not a regular here, as far as she can tell. For the moment, she makes a motion toward the counter and points for a fresh bowl.
Saeko Excited energy abound around Saeko, she makes her way towards the counter and places her order. And another. And another. So many flavours to try, the Fox was already picking some favorites. Despite the brow raise she gets, money is produced and the kitsune makes for her chair with the bowls balanced precariously against her chest. A careful, careful path taken to a table, she drops herself down at the table next to Andi, a bright smile offered to the other girl.

"Ice cream is a wonderful thing, no?" she speaks, apparently having no qualms about striking up conversation with a stranger even with Andi's gothic look.
Mania Andi Benton fights an eyeroll at the seemingly bouncy nature of the visitor, though there is definitely attention paid to the large order that is brought over to a table with nobody else seated there. The smile is not returned, keeping up the appearance of someone who is disinterested. However, given the nature of what she is, or at least the more secretive side of her that exists, she is studying the other one.

Her latest bowl is brought over, the others taken away, and once that's done she gives Saeko a mild shrug. "It's good," she acknowledges. "Haven't seen you in here before. New around here?"
Saeko "I am!" Saeko speaks, placing down the bowls and taking her first spoonful that brings a happy sigh of delighted appreciation from her throat before she speaks again. "Someone gave me some of this as a...gift, I wanted to try a little more from the source." Another bite, she seemed entirely unbothered by the lack of smile returned as she looks back to the gothic girl. "You are a 'regular' then?"
Mania "A gift, huh? Someone must like you," Andi remarks, as dryly as before.

//Someone should give us ice cream as a gift, Andi!//

The voice inside her head is, for now, ignored. But, she might agree with the sentiment.

She adds, aloud, "Been here a few times. The chocolate is good." Which Saeko got some of, in fact, along with a variety of other flavors and toppings.
Saeko "I suppose," Saeko muses, another bite of her strawberry choice before she shrugs and turns to face poor Andi properly, the kitsune apparently having locked onto the goth and the discussion of sweets. "Chocolate," she repeats before lifting a hand, signalling to get the server's attention and smiling brightly. "Another two of the chocolate please..." she practically purrs with excitement.

Apparently Andi -was- getting another bowl given to her, whether she or her 'passenger' liked it or not. The poor server? They move away so quick to attend the -almost- forget to charge for it, something the vixen offers a small giggle for even as the pile of sweets to make their way through grows.
Mania At this, Andi squints further. There's something that is perhaps a little odd here, but she can't put a finger on it. Maybe no more odd than her own situation, though by now she's grown quite used to it. "Uh, thanks," she answers. One less bowl to pay for, herself. And it's not like her 'friend' is working a job to make any money.

The bubbly personality exhibited by Saeko is in direct contrast to Andi's demeanor, given that she's maintaining a more distant attitude that could be seen as fitting for someone who looks the way she does, but that may require knowing the stereotype first. "So, I'm guessing you aren't local. I used to go to the school here, but not for long, and I never saw you there." She has decided Saeko is at least close enough in age to have been a student.
Saeko Aside from a sweet scent that could probably be attributed to their surroundings and her looks being rather eye-catching, Saeko seemed normal enough. The question about her being new? Saeko nods her head, giving a little shrug of her partially bared shoulders. "I am not from here, I travel a lot so...it's fun. Getting to see lots of interesting places and faces, always something new to try!"
Mania For a moment, Andi sniffs the air, something that goes beyond just the smells of chocolate and other things. It's not an obvious sniff, coming off more as a couple deeper breaths through the nose.

<<Do you smell that?>>
//Yes, like it is her.//
<<Maybe it's some kind of perfume.>>

A hint of confusion in Andi's expression follows, then she rubs her nose a couple times and hits the ice cream again. "Mmmh. You're right about that. Always new things, depending on what you find." Her responses are kept more neutral, still figuring out what she wants to say.
Saeko For her own part, the vixen seems quite happy to dive into her meal, a few more mouthfuls taken of each bowl before she lifts the strawberry one and up-ends it into the chocolate. A pause, she grins lightly at her not-exactly-daring creation. "I have tried chocolate covered strawberries before. The texture is very different, but I hope it will taste similarly good."

A spoonful, there's a moment of consideration before she tilts her head to the side, apparently unaware of Andi's own internal considertions. "Would you like to try?"
Mania Andi Benton waves a hand to decline. "Nah. We're good with just the chocolate." A keen ear might pick up on the way she refers to herself, in the plural rather than the singular. A little slip compared to before.

As if realizing this, she busies herself with a few more spoons of the yummy chocolate, leading to a moment where her expression turns blissful. "Mmmm."
Saeko And so it seemed things would pass in somewhere between comfort and akwardness, with neither knowing the oddity of the other... at least, until Saeko produces a phone from her pocket, excitedly lifting the device to type away a few keys.

"Satana would love this," she muses aloud. "Sweets like this are wonderful, and she does like tasty things."
Mania There is a time where it seems like this will just be a casual encounter leading to lots of ice cream consumed, until that name is brought up. At that point, Andi blinks quickly a couple times, squinting closely in Saeko's direction. She swallows her latest spoon of ice cream before clearing her throat.

"Uh, what did you just say? Satana?" There's something to the response. Recognition.
Saeko It wasn't exactly the most common name, so when Andi blinks and asks their question? Saeko blinks and leans forwards, seeming to look deeper against at Andi. "You know her?"

A blink, her snack seems somewhat forgotten. "You don't look like a demon..." nor was she a lifeless husk, so that was curious enough in itself.
Mania "We've..met," is Andi's ever so elaborate answer, to begin with. She's sitting up a little straighter, and forgetting something long enough for a reminder.

//Andi, the chocolate..//
<<Not now! This is more important!>>
//What is more important than chocolate? Oh. She did say that name.//
<<Did you just decide to pay attention now?>>

It's like that, for Andi and Mania inside.

"Definitely not a demon," she adds aloud, clearing her throat.
Saeko "She and I are close, she is a good companion!" the Vixen begins, smiling brightly for a moment before there's a tilt of her head and a light giggle on her lips.

"It seems she left an impression of sorts, no?"
Mania Andi Benton's brows tighten closer together. Companion? This sees her rub the back of her neck somewhat awkwardly, then she lies. "We don't know anything about that," she claims quickly.

//But we do, Andi. Why are you--//
<<Shhh!>>

Around that moment, something inky black passes over her eyes, and she kneads at one with a knuckle. "You'd remember too if you bumped into her," she claims.
Saeko That rub of the neck, that little shift behind the eyes? Saeko smirks as she leans forwards, her own eyes taking on a deep amber light beneath them, the faint trace of her whisker marks tracing across her features.

"There's nothing wrong with being memorable..."
Mania Now the chocolate is forgotten, Andi appearing more tense. She gets a direct look at those eyes as they shift in color, and the hint of something more shows at Saeko's cheeks. "Just who or what are you?" she asks, the voice low enough to be a whisper, yet clear enough amid the din of the establishment to be heard. For her part, she is keeping the deeper reality at bay.
Saeko The inhuman features fade, a little drift back to her disguise as she rests an elbow against the table surface to rest her cheek in her palm. "I am Saeko," she offers, as if that were the majority of the explaination needed. "And I am now curious about you and what little secret you have hidden away..." she begins, lifting her other hand to point lightly at the unnamed goth.
Mania Andi Benton gives her name, at least. "Andi." But, there is a defiant shift to her body language, her arms crossing in front of her against the table. "And we don't..have anything to show you." Again with the 'we,' and again with Mania speaking up inside.

//Why don't you want to show her, Andi? She is..more, and she knows /her/ too.//
<<Because I don't know if we can trust her!>>
//She brought us more chocolate. What else does she need to do?//

"Symbiotes," she mutters to herself, before giving a literal facepalm.
Saeko A pout, but it's one that's exaggerated by the woman's expression before she giggles softly. "I mean, I -can- always ask Satana some time, about a girl who looks like yourself. She might remember. Or..." she straightens up, playfully licking the spoon of her icecream. "You could tell me what a 'Symbiote' is..."
Mania Andi Benton doesn't look half as amused as Saeko does in the moment, the tease about going to Satana causing eyes to widen again as a 'cloud' of black creeps over them again and passes. "If we did in here, if we showed you, the place would empty out and we might not be welcomed back."

//It is good chocolate, Andi! We must not be banned!//

The 'fear' goes unanswered, Andi instead staring at Saeko in a way that shows there's more to this than it seems. Obvious, by now. "We would have to go somewhere else."
Saeko A little tsk of disappointment, but Saeko nods her head. She makes to stand, the kitsune in human guise sweeping a hand. Strangely, her own pile bowls seems to be missing, vanished from existance...or rather, sent elsewhere.

"I will follow you then," she grins, gesturing to the door.
Mania Grumbling, Andi misses the little trick with the bowls in the midst of reaching down for some extra cash to slap on the table, covering whatever else should be necessary. "Come on, then." Irritation tinges the tone of her words, and she shoves past a few people who look after her in annoyance before she makes short work of throwing the door open with a little more force than is necessary. Fortunately it's a good door and stays on its hinges.

Into a nearby alley she goes, leaving it to Saeko to keep pace. In the darkened, shadowy place, she hops up to a fire escape ladder and climbs the rest of the way up, the leap itself quite..generous for a baseline human. Her destination is the rooftop.
Saeko Comparatively calmer, the kitsune moves to follow along behind Andi...then she's leaping upwards, the fox giving a little chuckle of amused appreciation.

When Andi reached the top? She'd find the vixen simply sitting there, perched on the edge and watching her as if she'd actually always been there!

"That was a fun start..."
Mania Andi Benton gestures toward the street below, then at Saeko, staring. "What? How did you.." A hand waves it off. "No. Nevermind. Not the first time we've seen a teleporter."

Now the hand closes so just the index finger is pointed at the other woman. "Okay, so it's like this. We'll show you something, but you need to keep who I am a secret. My dad doesn't even know, and I still live with him. He's already weirded out by some stuff he's seen, but we're trying to keep him safe. And we stop bad guys, so you'd better be a good guy."

That finished, she lets the symbiote out. It begins and ends pretty rapidly, small and thin tendrils of a slick black substance seemingly coming out of all points of her body until it's wrapped around her to leave a very different look.

Hands, tipped with claws, rest at hips accented with a spiked belt, more spiky signs present at the forearms and shins, a large white spider across her front and back, and just a pair of white, slitted eyes beneath a spiky 'carapace' of hair, no mouth visible. "There. Now you see us. We are Mania."
Saeko A little shift, the Vixen actually leans back a little in suprise as Andi's mention of her social secret gives way to the reveal. The deep, inky tendrils making her eyes widen in curious interest before she moves forwards.

"Interesting..." she speaks, moving forwards and extending a hand curiously to try and touch the symbiote's 'skin'.

"How wonderful..." the woman speaks before chuckling softly. "And there are two of you? Beings in harmony making one?"
Mania Mania's arms cross, a standard pose of defiance that certainly fits the punkish look that's been taken on. The appearance is..organic, glossy, almost shiny. The eyes, solid white as they are, show an ability to convey expression by lengthening, narrowing, taking different angles, and so on. The feet also have a sort of clunky sole to them, essentially built in. The hand gets a stare, a tilt of the head, and where the touch is it can be felt as if it was just the only layer of skin there. "We have not heard many call it that, wonderful," is said, the voice a strange blend of Andi's and something more alien, like a voice in stereo consisting of two different ones. "We have bonded," comes a basic explanation.
Saeko A strange hybrid being, hybrid voices and... literally alien nature, despite what Saeko was, this was something she'd simply never seen before and her facination was plain in her face!

Trailing a fingertip down where she'd made her contact, the fox eventually steps back with a smile. "I suppose it is only fair..."

Those eyes, the whisker marks returning but her guise melting away further as those pointed furred ears are revealed atop her head, a collection of moving tails flowing out behind her as the vixen showed herself. Of course, her attire hadn't changed, but it was very clear that Saeko was far from human.
Mania A subtle shift in body language from the way the finger slides along the skin, that has a somewhat odd texture to it. "Fair to what..?" Mania asks, and her head immediately tilts in obvious, clear curiosity as soon as those markings show but extend further, to show the vixen traits in the form of ears and more than one tail. The eyes in particular grow larger, and she visibly leans in one direction to stare at the tails in motion.

"You are a kitsune." Not a question, but an observation. Clearly, one or both of the beings that make up Mania know what those are.
Saeko "I am Saeko," she offers with a smile, a bow excentuated by the motion of her tails. "A Tenko of Inari...yes, I am a Kitsune."

Of course, she didn't expect Andi to understand the hierachy of divine spirits, so the vixen simply shrugs off any further titles as one of her tails flicks forward, brushing against Mania's cheek.

"I can see why Satana would have found you interesting..."
Mania Given the position she's in, leaning as she does, the tail that creeps past Mania's face leads to her reaching out impulsively for it, the lingering curiosity getting the better of her in order to feel it and its own texture.

There is further squinting, whether at the title or the last part, and that is what gets the response, the eyes taking on an almost childlike look to them. "And why is that?" she wonders, attention split noting the tails, looking at the ears, studying the face. Her own body is lithe, nimble-looking, yet possessing a certain strength to it.
Saeko Saeko wasn't strong, not in a physical sense. Her flawless looks of a mystical beauty and curves hinted at a power in another aspect of her being.

A divine being of magic and creation rather than muscle and claw.

"Simple," Saeko purrs, that silken tail curling back to her form after a moment of contact. "You are different, new, exciting."
Mania At this, Mania..bristles. The closest comparison could be not so much a porcupine, but rather a peacock. "We /are/ pretty awesome, we know," is the response that's offered, the eyes taking on a sort of prideful, preening look, hands resting at her sides.

What Saeko presents in appealing appearances, mystical mysteries, Mania counters with a potentially dangerous demeanor, but a curious countenance. They are a sharp contrast to each other.

"And the extra chocolate was good. We love chocolate." An aside follows. "We could have eaten more."
Saeko "I can enjoy many things, offerings given to Inari I act as a conduit for...but for my own self I have very much come to enjoy some of the things this world and this city can offer."

The vixen tilts her head, one arm crossed under her bust while the other comes to lift and tap a finger against her lips. "I did drive you away from your meal...perhaps if you'd like to join me I can make amends and neither I nor you have to return to hiding what we are."

A hand extended, the vixen smiles. "Would you like to come with me?"
Mania "We do not know much about all that..any Inari," Mania admits, the eyes showing a thoughtful yet confused tilt.

And yet, the black, clawed hand slowly extends and meets the offered one. "We have no plans, and we have free time." The question that remains: what now?
