Monet St. Croix Dreary. How dreary. Everything but her was. Monet St. Croix? If one had to ask her, she would be eternally fabulous. Amazing. Eternal. It was just the rest of the world that had to be that way.

But perfection could not be kept hidden, it had to be displayed and shared for the masses. Monet is waiting along a crosswalk for the eternal light to change. She could simply fly over it, but that would impact her efficiency. So long as she's given distance from anyone else waiting at the light.
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman is walking out of the mutant town clinic. The young man, is pulling his jacket on and turns to lock the door to the building. He turns about looking arounf and heads towards the Diner. Heading towards the same cross walk that Money is using.
Monet St. Croix She could say exactly how many seconds it would take by comparing the lights to the other ends of the crosswalk. She could state if it was running a few hundredths of a second behind due to a fault. But that does not change the fact that a stop light, much like steaming water, never changes while you're watching it.

Monet St. Croix glances in passing at the person coming out of the clinic, face impassive.
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman will offer a nod in greeting. His eyes hidden behind his sunglasses. He does give her a once over head cocked to the side for just a moment, as he tries to place where he may have seen her before. Not clicking at least not right away he will stand beside her but does not invade her personal space. "New around here?" He will askin greeting.
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix's expression would remain flat. Irritation being smoothed over. Now was not the time or the place. "In awhile." Her accent French. Parisian. Monet accepting his presence so long as he was not in the sphere of her personal bubble. Finding this acceptable. "Do you live here?"
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman nods his head a bit to this and says "Yes, he motions over to the hotel, and says "I have a place there." He says in explanation. "Just finished with the clinic for the evening, so thought I would grab something to eat." He explains where he is headed. "What brings you back if you have been away for a bit, I maybe able to help you find something or someone if your looking for something specific."
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would give a light shake of her head, "No, thank you. I have no particular destination in mind. What do you perform at the clinic?" Her going through these phrases of social niceties that had long been ingrained into her. "I find the best way to learn an area is to wander."
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman nods a bit and says "I run it, I am one of the main Doctors. Robert Marksman" He will offer his hand to her in greeting. If she has kept track with the news and social circles Robert Marksman is half of a pair of brothers who owned a large electronic corporation, and gave up his half to his brother to buy into Mutant town and moved here to help people.
Monet St. Croix Of course Monet has kept up with all such things. If not, she can do a sufficient job of using her memory to review things gleaned from background interactions for review. "You do an excellent job serving to the needs of the community." Each thing carefully enunciated.
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman shrugs a bit and says "Well, talked to a friend a while back and convinced me I needed to do more than I was so I moved on out here to help more." He admits. "The people here are good people, has been developing into a really good community."
Monet St. Croix The light finally gives in to the inevitability and turns to 'walk'. With a practiced ease Monet St. Croix would go to walk along the crosswalk. "Then you were advised properly by that individual. Those here are.. In need of aid and deserving of it."
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman nods, a bit walking a long and says "And the fact that they are willing to work to help one another shows it as well. We have had a few issues but over all, I think we are doing pretty good.
Monet St. Croix Nearing the end of the crosswalk, on to the opposite street, Monet St. Croix would add, "The same as much can be said for any branch of humanity. All things need improved upon."
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman nods his head a bit to this and says "Now all we need to do is find a way for that good will to cross between different branches of humanity. It happens some at least so there is hope.
Monet St. Croix That would get a perfectly maintained flat expression on the face of Monet St. Croix, "Since humanity has always taken to that in all it's shapes and forms, there is a large gap to bridge."
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman nods, a bit and says "But if we are to bridge each, each step we take is important." He looks to her, and says "Care to join me at the dinner, for food, or maybe a hot drink?"
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would give a look that is that perfect blending of 'polite rejection' and 'not my type'. "Thank you, but no." She would continue, "You do excellent work here with the clinic, and to set an example for the rest of humanity."
Robert Marksman Robert Marksman does not seem bothered by it, and will look to her "Well it was a pleasure talking to you Miss." He offers a smile "Thank you for the kind words, but I am just trying to help people." He turns to head towards the dinner "Have a good evening."
Monet St. Croix Monet St. Croix would give a low nod with a minimum of movement to her head, "Of course. Good luck with your clinic and I hope that it reaches a point where society has advanced enough it's services are not needed."
