Cain Marko As he often does when on the asterioid, Cain Marko is just sort of randomly wandering the hallways. A steady thumping sounding throughout the artificial satellite, perhaps a slight quiver in the walls near where he moves. He's in his full costume considering where he is, dull red armor gleaming slightly in the light as he moves at a steady clip. Considering how often the giant does this, he must become bored pretty easily. He's also noticeably larger than he is without his armor, closer to ten feet than seven.
Lorna Dane Long nights lately had left Lorna a bit of a zombie. Not that she wanted to really admit it, but she was pushing herself a bit more than was perhaps necessary. The holidays always made things a bit difficult when it came to getting work done and she was scrambling to get as much accomplished as possible before many government services or politicians went on extended holidays. It was time for a break, and a cup of coffee, so she's left the room she sometimes occupied while here in search of such a beverage. She doesn't get far when those heavy footfalls draw her attention, snapping her awake rather quickly. "Oh, Juggernaut. Hello," she greets with a quick smile flashed toward the mercenary she'd met a time or two before. There was no reason for her not to be personable.
Cain Marko Seeing somebody in the hallway in front of him, Cain slows down. He's not moving overly fast, so unlike those times he doesn't have to skid to a stop. He grunts a little and nods down to the greenette woman. "Lorna. 'lo. How're you doing? You look exhausted." He stands a bit away from the mutant woman, so he doesn't have to bend over too far to actually see her. He'd done some work for her so far, and they'd talked here and there. But they weren't particularly close yet. He'd likely also done minor things here and there for other Brotherhood members when he wasn't down on Earth doing other things.
Lorna Dane Lorna Dane takes a single deep breath at mention of looking tired which she exhales slowly. A hand lifts to run back through her hair as she can only nod in agreement with that statement. "I've been making use of the Asteroid to make video calls with various nations in different timezones. I probably could use some rest." A little chuckle comes as she adds, "No rest for the wicked, right? Though I'm not sure I can lay claim to that either. How are you doing? I meant to thank you for your assistance in the delivery of computers to Genosha awhile back." Of course she'd made sure he was paid but that was still worth thanking him for. It went smoothly due to his presence.
Cain Marko The enormous redhead tilts his head slightly to the side. Not that it's easy to tell with the helmet, other than his eyes becoming a little unaligned with the holes. "Why're you doing that fot?" He's not exactly been keeping up with whatever political things the group is doing. Mostly due to lack of interest. "I'm alright. Bored. Not been too much to do around here. Or maybe people forget you all hired me. I dunno. And it was fine. Woulda been more interesting if somebody tried to rob it, but finishing up and getting paid is good good." He smiles briefly down at her. "Works been kinda monotonous in general lately. Nothing really spicy coming down the pipe."
Lorna Dane "Public relations mostly," Lorna explains as to why she was doing it. "I'm Queen of Genosha after all. Someone has to be the public figurehead while othrs do th real work." Mention of work being scarce for him earns a knowing nod. "So far as I can tell things have quieted down quite a bit all over. It may change, of course, but typically Mystique runs the Brotherhood. I just tag along and handle the political aspects in regards to Genosha." A small yawn is stifled there, and she mutters, "Perhaps I should take a break."
Cain Marko Cain lets out another grunt. "Right, right. Queen. Other than dropping off those computers, I haven't really been to Genosha much. I suppose cause I'm not a mutant." He crosses his thick arms over his chest, studying her face. "Hmm. Yeah. You do look like you're reachin the limit there, hon. You should go get some sleep or something." He unfolds his arms again just as quick, reaching out to lightly poke the greenette in the forehead. "Don't wanna end up causing a political controversy cause you're not thinking clearly." He can remember the days when he became tired. Vaguely. It was a long time ago.
Lorna Dane "You're more than welcome there," Lorna assures, "Hammer Bay is an actual city again worth visiting--" Ah but then there's the poke between her eyes which causes her to pause, and stare at the finger. Lightly reaching up she takes hold of his hand to lower it away with a chuckle. "I suppose I should take the advice of my elders, hmm?" A tease? A joke? Likely, though it's a weak one. "You do have a point. I'll turn in then, and hold off on anything else for awhile. If I hear of anything else that might be of interest to you I'll be sure to keep you in mind." A dip of her haed is given along with a smile. "Good night." Turning she heads back the way she came admitting defeat to that thing known as sleep.
