Personality
Hero:
Casey is always trying to get the best outcome, to do the right thing, to complete the mission that saves the day.
Optimistic:
No matter how many set backs she has in her fictional and real life, she still defaults back to a position of optimism, which can grate on people sometimes. Her heart is always in the right place though. Of course, she comes from a fictional comic book in which good always triumphs and evil never wins. It's easy to have that kind of optimism that no matter how dark things are right now, there's always a happy ending right around the corner.
Character Sheet
Powers
Energy Blasts:
Casey can shoot energy from her hands. Her writer was kind of lazy about it. How powerful they were depended entirely on the plot and was just as inconsistent from issue to issue. They tended to scale with the threat. They are never strong enough to resolve the story too quickly, but never too weak as to leave her defenseless. Unnamed characters (aka red shirts) are no challenge to this ability at all.
Skills
Big Weapons:
Casey is well versed in firing big fixed weapons from space ships which translates nicely in to big weapons mounted on cars, tanks, and what have you. That one in a million shot? if the plot demanded it she could do it - and she did. Often. The plot wasn't great.
Martial Arts:
Casey knows future martial arts. Perhaps if the writer knew a bit more about martial arts he'd have been more specific about what it is Casey can do. But from the various comics, she threw a pretty good punch, could block and dodge, disarm people, and of course do ridiculous jumps and flips. You might as well just call it Venusian Aikido at this point.
Paramedic:
(Emergency Medical Technician) Written in to her character was the ability to do the job of a paramedic. In the overtures of the comic this went anywhere from a bandaid to on the spot life saving surgery. While she had no formal training, the power of her creation gives her these skills.
Pilot:
Casey can pilot -anything-. Sometimes this is called Driving but in her mind you pilot vehicles of any and all types.
Small Weapons:
Casey can improvise with most any weapons. Being a fictional martial artist from the future anything from a knife to a blaster is familiar to her. She is only as good as the villain is better in that she would often be the one getting disarmed by the big bad for dramatic tension; yet anyone else was there to be humiliated or defeated as necessary.
Resources
Cybernetic Leg:
For whatever reason, her author had her lose her leg battling Torminox. She replaced her missing leg with a piece of android vanquished in the battle. This one cybernetic leg allows her to boost herself for better than normal leaps, jumps, and landings. Jumping up a floor or two is possible, but is dependent on the state of the story. Of course, this is only true so long as it hasn't run out of power.
Utility Belt:
Casey has a utility belt with pouches and those pouches contain devices from a fictional 29th century. Exactly what goes where changed from issue to issue in her comic. The belt never contains anything that will solve a major problem, but in the comics she always seemed to have something that would solve a minor problem she's facing, however unlikely it is that she'd have that in the belt.
Weaknesses
Age:
Fictional characters don't age. And even though her fictional age matches her looks now - in another twenty years she'll still look like this and still be getting carded. That gravitas of maturity will never come to her.
Fictional:
If no one believes Casey is real then she probably won't be. Being a fictional character who has become real is an precarious tight rope. Much like how fairies need to hear claps to live, Casey cannot exist in the face of disbelief in her.
Life Experiences:
Everything is new. Knowing she should know it doesn't make these life experiences anything less than absolutely new to her. Eating, drinking, touching, feeling. All of these things regular people take for granted absolutely amaze her.
Missing Leg:
While replaced with a cybernetic leg, that leg can be removed which leaves Casey with a below average number of legs.
Real:
Casey is real now. All the expectations that a story has a happy ending, that the good guys always eventually win, that the Rule of Cool is all that actually matters... yeah the real world doesn't work that way now does it. Casey is perpetually in for a rude awakening.
Retcon:
The author of her story could change it in unexpected ways any time he wants. But it was really the cursed pen that brought her to life from the comic pages. If someone else got their hands on that pen, they could bring other fictional characters all the way in to life; or banish them back to fiction - Casey included.
