Owner Pose
Emma Frost It's been awhile since the two had last caught up. Emma had simply requested Roulette to meet her over at the Hellfire Club in one of the restaurant areas. The offer included covering the entire tab for the meal and not needing anything in return - no favors, no exchanges. Someone else covering her food was probably enough to get Jennifer tos how up without any sort of issue.
Jennifer Stavros Emma was vague about the time so Jennifer arrives at eight o'clock, not aiming for arriving fashionably late. Despite all of the luck at her fingertips, she didn't have Emma's pure oomph. Besides it's always better to err on the side of caution with people like her and your elders. Beyond that line of reasoning, Emma was paying.

Heels emphasize her height and figure, the silk pants and sequined shirt flirting with her decollette is enough for several women in the dining room to surreptitiously sweep their eyes over her. Aware of herself while pretending nonchalance, Jennifer sweeps her blonde hair back over her shoulder and searches the room for Emma.

With a warm smile, more sincere than not, she walks to Emma's table. "Hi. It's good to see you Ms. Frost." She waits for an invitation then slides back a chair, pretending not to notice the attention on her.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would gesture over at Jennifer, "Why thank you Jennifer, so glad you could join me. I take it that everything has gone well with you?" She would smile brightly over at her old student and gesture at her to take a seat.

"Please, order wahtever you like. If you want some privacy I can simply rent hte place for the evening so you can relax and enjoy yourself."

Emma didn't feel like anyone or anything else going around here was important. And it was a simple matter to just buy the place out for a few hours. Nothing exotic or unrealistic for payment.

"I do hope that you've managed to keep yourself ahead of any of the normal excitement that preys upon our lives."
Jennifer Stavros Jennifer is still young enough to be impressed by wealth. Blinking, one white incisor dents her lip as she considers the extravagant offer. A grin breaks the pensive consideration, "No, um, that's okay. I'm fine."

Her eyes jump from table to table, "This is fine. I'm really looking forward to it. The food is really good here."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would smile, "Of course. Do feel free to get whatever you want. If something's not listed, we can have the chef brought out and they can make it for you if you don't mind waiting so they can make it properly. They can be quite flexible here."
Jennifer Stavros The young woman picks up the menu waiting by her place setting and quickly reads down the extensive list of appetizers and entrees. Lowering the menu, Jennifer peers over the top. "They have an amazing list of food. I mean, how many places can do French and Chinese *and* Japanese and not f- ah, mess it up?" Her eyes widen at the close catch.

"I love Peking duck, just love it. And dim sum." She closes the menu with a clap. "For once I didn't take a million years deciding. I'm ready. What are you having?"
Emma Frost Emma Frost would smile, "The places that know how ot -properly- cater to their clientelle. Many establishments merely coast upon marketing and price. Here is exquisite, knows the customers, and maintains quality for a broad spectrum. And has access to customers with a wide diversity of culinary preferences. And the ability to pay for them."

IF youbuy it, they will come. "I've already ordered, darling. You're fine."
Jennifer Stavros "Uh, okay!" turning to the waiter who spirited himself to their table on faultlessly obsequious feet, she orders her assortment of dim sum followed by the duck. "Oh, what should we drink, Ms. Frost? Pinot noir goes really well with Chinese. Would that be alright?"
Emma Frost Emma Frost would smile, "Of course darling. Whatever you prefer." And she's expecting that Jennifer's tastes aren't quite obscure enough to want hte thousand dollar bottles of wine simply because she can, but Emma certainly can afford it and appreciate it. "A good call, darling."
Jennifer Stavros Jennifer straightens full of the praise. Eyes turned up to the waiter, "Please bring us a good bottle of pinot noir but nothing extravagant, please." When he has left, she settles back into her chair with a sigh.

"Recently it has been go-go-go. So it's really nice to stop and have dinner with you, Ms. Frost."
Emma Frost Emma Frost would watch at the waiter, and then return her full attention over to Jennifer, "So long as it's not something which is drawing the attention of the Avengers or SHIELD I'm sure that it can't be that bad. What the rest of us don't know about we don't have to deal with after all." Trusting the girl to keep her own secrets.
Jennifer Stavros Swallowing back the words she wants to spill, Jennifer nods mutely. "No. No, I don't think so. I mean it's government work so yeah. And I mean that in all senses of the words. Good enough for government work. Thanks, Ms. Frost," she replies not specifying what the thanks are meant for.
Emma Frost Emma Frost would nod, "Of course, so long as it all goes well." And Emma has a very, very wide zone when it comes to 'goes well'. It's not like they're leveling much of the east coast after all. Or at least not being blamed for it. So that's all that matters in the end.

"I hope that it's the type where the government considers you useful enough to not have you disposed of at the end of things."
Jennifer Stavros Jennifer's vivid blue eyes widen as she considers Emma's words. Shaking her head slowly, she asks, "Do they do that sort of thing?"
Emma Frost Emma Frost would muse, "Oh, quite often. That's among the useful things about subcontractors. Easy to dispose of, easy to get rid of, easy to blame. And also they can be quite often internally cheaper than using your own assets for an operation. There's a reason why the government spreads so many things out, darling."
Jennifer Stavros Inhaling, Jennifer nods slowly. After tucking that tidbit of information away, Jennifer decides to try out her luck and have a long conversation with Melissa Gold about the possibility, saying, "Oh. Well. I believe you Ms. Frost. I'm going to have a talk with some people about that."
