Roy Harper While the weather might still be a little on the wet side for the most part and there is still time before summer's heat is likely to touch this little slice of the Pacific Northwest, at least it is sunny out after a period of clouds and rainfall that seemed far too long.

So to take advantage of this brief break in the weather, and while they have a chance before the lure of the East Coast steals them away, Roy has taken them out for the afternoon, his motorcycle racing through the sunlit streets towards the oceanfront.
Roxanne Spaulding With the wind through her hair, and her head pretty much buried in his back, Roxie lets out a happy and content sigh. Her arms are wrapped about his torso, giving him a fond squeeze as she hangs on for dear life, not quite sure where they're going.

"How much further?" she calls out, before she looks around to take advantage of and enjoy the view.
Roy Harper By rights they should be wearing helmets, both because it is the law and because it is a whole lot safer.

But neither one of them are particularly noted for following the rules and, admittedly, in all likelihood she could just make them float away from any potential wreck. So there is that.

"Not that much further," Roy calls back to her, taking the next curve rather fast, maybe encouraging her to lean in close and tight. But either way he is as good as his word because after a climb up a little hill the view of the ocean ahead beyond the bluffs can be seen, that blue water glistening under the sunlight.
Roxanne Spaulding Squeeeeeeee! That sharp curve causes her to lean in against him, which is something she gladly does. Biting on her lower lip, she continues to keep herself pressed against his back, before she looks out when the view of the ocean comes into view.

If it wasn't for the fact that they're going quite fast and she doesn't want to swallow any bugs by accident, her mouth would be agape otherwise. Still, she mutters softly, "Wow, it's beautiful."
Roy Harper While the redheaded archer might have more then a little appreciation for speed -- and the thrills it brings along with it -- Roy does begin to slow down at last, guiding the motorcycle into a clear area atop the bluffs, the view of the ocean rather impressive.

Off to the side, a meandering path leads down towards the sandy beach below. A few people can be seen here or there, walking along the sands though it is not nearly warm enough to lure people out into the water, aside from one brave surfer in a wetsuit, out there looking for the perfect wave.

"It's one of my favorite places around here," Roy agrees with a grin, parking the bike and slowly sliding free. "I was hoping we would get a decent day so I could show it to you before we headed back east. Though we'll have to come back sometime in the summer," he asserts.
Roxanne Spaulding The need for speed is still there, but as he slows down, another sigh of relief can be heard as the tension in her arms and core disappears. No longer does she need to hang on for dear life, and so she can relax just enough to appreciate the view.

"I can see why you like it out here. I've driven along the '1' before, but never this part." Cause she's a Cali girl after all.

"So shall we then?" she asks, slipping off and extending a hand out towards him.
