James Barnes     Sam waking up to find that Bucky had an 'overnight' guest was probably, to put it mildly, a little awkward. At least Buck was wearing boxers when he got up, had coffee and bacon and BuckyOmelettes(TM) with Opal and Sam and then saw her to the door.

But the beautiful blond with the gemstone for an eye didn't leave without offering a bit of advice. "You two," a gesture with one hand between them, "...are so tangled up in one another that it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. Untangle it." Guess it just got more awkward?

After a quick, chaste kiss on the cheek and a, 'call me anytime, Darlin'', from the woman, Bucky closed the door.

"Uh, so that was Ruby's little sister," is all he offers in way of explanation, for now, before he heads for the kitchen to start in on the breakfast mess... still in his boxers.
Sam Wilson     The fact that Sam actually gets a few check-in texts is so wholly out of character for Bucky that he's actually more concerned than he would've been otherwise.

But not like, enough to get out of bed.

So he gets a mostly-uninterrupted eight hours, which is not something he's been able to say for the past few weeks. It's nice. Even nicer is the promise of a home-cooked meal, which definitely seems to be on the table once he gets out of the shower judging by the smell, and Sam is lowkey hoping for another one of those omelettes.

Sam's dressed and looking down at his phone when he walks in, so the unexpected female voice catches him off-guard. He looks up, at the woman, then over to Bucky, then back to the woman again.

But hey, he knows his manners. He sits through an awkward breakfast that mostly involves him keeping his eyes very intently focused on the neck up for both Bucky and Opal and looking supremely annoyed about it, eats his food, and joins Bucky in escorting their guest out.

So he really feels like he doesn't deserve the armchair psychiatry. "Man, what the fuck," is all Sam says. No, that's not true. "Bucky, go put some pants on." And because of those aforementioned manners, he pushes the sleeves up on his shirt and goes to clean up the kitchen himself.
