Tinkerer/gadgeteer with a demonic appearance. Made his own supersuit when he was a kid and then sidekicked whether his favorite hero wanted it or not. He thought he turned into a demon; it turned out to be his own awesomeness instead. He's friendly, but look out for that handshake.

* 2008: Born in LA (Parents Sylvia and Robert)
* 2015: Early obsession with electronics
* 2018: Encounters a hero while working in the effects shop at Aunt Marla's film studio
* 2019: Builds supersuit and trident weapon in misguided attempt to 'sidekick' for his favorite hero
* 2020: Assists in thwarting a hijacking attempt
* 2021: Lured by a demonic entity into a soul contract in exchange for real powers (no suit required!)
* 2022: A grievous wound and an encounter with Doom Patrol led him to discover the powers were really his own, due to a latent metahuman gene
* 2023: Began looking for means to void the 'contract' as having been entered under false pretenses; start up social media channels demonstrating various inventions and techniques
* 2024: Freshly confident with his powers, began looking for a team to apply his capabilities to help more people

Determined:
Excitable when presented with a puzzle or engineering challenge, he can become fixated on that objective and sometimes lose sight of the larger picture.

Jovial:
Friendly and outgoing to an almost ingratiating extent. He thinks, or at least hopes, he can be friends with everyone (anyone) so he tries too hard to do that sometimes. He also assumes everyone is capable of redemption and it takes a lot (too much) to convince him someone isn't.

Loyal:
Despite his manner, he is slow to make proper friends. Those who manage to achieve this status will find him a defender with truly demonic ferocity.

Resourceful:
His inventive spirit leads him to seek out unorthodox solutions to situations when all other options seem to have been exhausted.

Demonfire:
Fire breath, emission of fire from hands, and skin ranging from dangerously hot to white-hot (though he can also consciously lower it to a range that's safe to touch).

Flight:
Small, retractable leathery wings under his arms more suitable for gliding or landing, though could be used for brief aerial travel or maneuvers when combined with a super-strength jump.

Healing:
Recovers from non-fatal injuries approximately ten times faster than a normal human

Physical:
Demonically amplified physical attributes:

* Strength: He can easily throw a large vehicle.
* Endurance: He can exert himself harder and longer than a typical human, and survive significant forces that would otherwise be fatal to most humans.
* Agility: Feats like balancing or climbing (particularly with the aid of his claws).
* Tail: Prehensile tail useful for swinging, climbing, moving small objects.
* Fireproof: Immunity to fire and intense heat

Teleportation:
Able to create portals out of fire by concentrating on the desired destination. These portals can be used by others (though they may get singed in the process). The effort and time involved varies widely depending on the distance and familiarity of the destination: zapping to a point he can see directly, or to his home, would be more or less instantaneous; attempting to make a portal thousands of miles away to somewhere he's never been might be immensely difficult and draining, if not impossible. As with any portals there's always a chance they lead to an unintended destination, or dimension.

Practiced in hand-to-hand combat as well as operating targeting systems for some of his devices.

Cooking:
Being a walking convection oven has some advantages: Eddie likes to cook, develop recipes, and provide nutritious fresh meals for friends.

Gadgeteering:
He has the capacity to rapidly tinker or field-refit devices, components, and systems in the field, given enough pieces to work with as well as sufficient time and focus.

Superscience:
A high-level engineering genius, capable of building a functional supersuit at a young age, as well as a variety of novel weapon systems.

Equipment:
Laboratory and manufacturing equipment, some of which he built or modified himself, to aid in his inventions and experiments. Includes devices capable of analysis, printing, fabrication, chemical synthesis, and related tasks.

Weaknesses

Appearance:
Many people find his demonic appearance off-putting, sometimes in the extreme. More than once when he's arrived on a scene to help out, he's inadvertently caused the civilians to panic and further destabilize the situation.

Blood:
While having (essentially) napalm for blood sounds neat, it also means he can't receive transfusions. Though it takes some significant force to injure him, any injury that requires medical treatment will be massively complicated by the human-incompatible blood and dangerous levels of heat he emits.

Confidence:
While he is convinced every problem is solvable, he often lacks the confidence to think he's the one who can solve it. He's better at invention and gadgeteering than he thinks he is and he is often surprised when his own efforts actually work.

Cap makes a call to evacuate the building and its gamma reactor goes critical, but Clea contains the worst of the blast outside.
