A spooky girl from an alternate, sunless Earth. She talks to ghosts and befriends other weird types. She's left her family and moved to Gotham, where she is attending college in hopes of learning a bit more about 'boring' life.

Timeline

Timeline:
2005 - Evening is born on an alternate, sunless Earth called the Black Planet.

2010 - The Black Planet is overrun by the Crim, an interdimensional parasitic race of invaders. Her father, a government scientist, works hard to build an escape route for their race, but is betrated by his government. In the battle Evening's mother, Abyss, is killed, and he pushes Evening through the portal. She arrives in LA, confused and lost, and able to now see ghosts. They lead her to an abandoned school, where she lives with them for almost a year before being taken into the foster system.

2011-2014 - Eve bounces from foster home to foster home due to her weirdness. Eventually her dad shows up and busts her out, and they flee to Pacific City, in Northern California. He builds a hidden, underground base called The Tomb.

2014-2018 - They attract other weird types, forming the found family of the Nocturnals, and her dad becomes a feared gunman and fixer for a mob family. Eve begins attending a secret private school for other weird kids, including but not limited to : ghosts, bog monsters, mutants, wolf people, vampires, and a half-dozen hybrid children she rescued from the evil Narn-K Corporation.

2018-2024 - Numerous run-ins with monsters, the Crim, the Narn-K corporation and a ton od spooky adventures. Eve graduates from the academy.

2024 - She convinces her dad to let her attend Gotham University sos he can began learning more about humans, and try and make 'boring/normal' friends.

Timeline2:
Evening Horror was born to Abyss Horror and Nicodemus Horror on an alternate Earth known as the Black Planet. A world without sunlight, and filled with supernatural things people of this Earth would label as 'spooky', but was always normal to them. Abyss died when Eve was till very young, and her world fell apart when she was a child not too long after.
An interdimensional, parastic race known as the Crim began to overtake their planet, and her father was a government scientist working hard to find a way to save them. He built an interdimensional portal, but was betrayed by the government to the Crim as part of a plea deal. He managed to shove his daughter through the portal, and followed a few moments later. However, those few moments stretched out for several years on normal Earth. She ended up on the streets of Los Angeles, struggling to survive as a six year old.
She ended up discovering that she could now see and communicate with ghosts, and she hid out in an old, abandoned private school with her new ghost buddies. She was discovered, eventually, and ended up in the foster system. Due to her weirdness she was moved from foster family to foster family throughout the city. Three years passed before her dad appeared on Earth and sought her out.
He rescued her and they fled LA to the small Northern California town of Pacific City, where he created an underground HQ known as The Tomb. He became an enforcer and 'fixer' for a mob family, where he gained a terrifying reputation. They gathered other 'weird' types around themselves, forming a found family they called the Nocturnals. They fueded with supernatural forces, other mob groups, and a looming, evil corporation known as the Narn K Corporation, who secretly produced synthetic people, and also served as the Crim's Earthly agents.
After many years of insanity and adventures, Eve managed to conviced her VERY protective father that she needed to go out and experience life. So, she's been accepted to Gotham Univerity, and moved across the country!

Personality

Curious:
Eve doesn't like not knowing what is going on. If something is being kept from her, the girl wants to figure out what it is. If she sees something interesting, she wants to go after her. It's a simple trait, but it keeps her constantly getting into insane situations.

Friendly:
Eve likes making friends, but at the same time she doesn't hide her personality in fear of losing them. She is warm to people and wants to help them. If someone she cares for rejects her for who she is she is likely to be pretty hurt, but will never sacrifice who she is.

Weird:
She's a strange goth kid who dresses in homemade clothes and tends to carry around toys. She's weird. She loves everything spooky and dark, yet doesn't come off as gloomy or anything like that. It tends to put some people off.

Darkvision:
Eve can see perfectly in the dark. Sunlight bugs her, and sudden shifts in light can even temporarily blind her, but she is perfectly capable in total darkness. She can navigate it with ease, and see as if it were a bright noon.

Durability:
Like her father, Eve is weirdly resilient. It's likely due to the evolution being a bit different on the Black Planet then on this Earth. While her dad can take insane amounts of damage, she can take a bit more then an absolute peak human. Bullets don't bounce off of her, but she can take numerous shots before she drops. She can take one hell of a beating and keep going.

I See Dead People:
Since coming to this Earth Eve has been able to see ghosts without doing anything special. They are just completely visible to her. She can also sense the presence of other forms of undead, from zombies to vampires to other 'ressurected' types. This feels different to her on a case-by-case basis, but is never a fearful feeling for her.

Light In the Dark:
Eve radiates a sense of comfort and hope for ghosts, and anyone else who has 'passed on'. This involves creatures that are undead, as well. Even the most fearsome vampire feels weirdly calm and collected around her. Ghosts, especially, are drawn to her aura and love being around the girl. In fact, even normally vicious ghosts will not attack her unless forced to via some kind of other force, and even then they will not put their all into it. Zombies and other non-sentient undead are similarly harmless to her. If there was a horde of zombies attacking the city, the crowd would part around her to attack others.

In addition, ghosts Know Things. They will freely share this information with her. Also, she tends to have ghosts present in her Toys, and they whisper things to her that they pick up from surface thoughts, or things she cannot percieve. Because of this Eve often comes off to 'know things' she should not.

Toys R Ded:
Ghosts do not like being incorporeal. She has the ability to bind ghosts to objects, though she specifically does this with the spooky, weird toys she collects and fills her dorm and 'Lantern' with. She has a ton of horror-themed toys, and they have ghosts bound to them. They don't walk around when normal people are watching, much like Toy Story, but they do when it's just Eve and perhaps trusted friends. They can also talk, usually in spooky whispers.

She has the ability to grow these toys into larger and very dangerous versions. This is generally how she fights.

Skills

Crafts:
She is great with a needle and thread. She makes a lot of her own clothing, and can repair or modify clothing or costumes like an expert. She can also repair dolls and toys with ease, and create toys and dolls of her own.

Fear:
Eve isn't exactly immune to fear, but a lot of things that would terrify a normal person have absolutely no effect on her. She reacts to gruesome scenes and supernatural horror with absolute ease. She basically reacts to a slavering, rotting zombie as if it were a Golden Retriever.

Fighting:
The Nocturnals don't flinch from using guns. It isn't her usual way to fight, but her dad made sure she was skilled with a firearm. If the need arises she could qualify as a very skilled combatant with a handgun. Also, she knows basic self-defense, focusing on Krav Maga, which is what her dad had her trained in due to brutality, and her small stature not being an issue.

Spooky Lore:
gShe knows a LOT about the supernatural. While she's read up a bit, this is mostly from actual interaction and adventures. Need to know about Vampire breeds? Infamous hauntings? Which cryptids are fake and which ones to fear? Eve is your girl.

Dorm:
She is a student at Gotham University, and has a dorm room. It is a pretty standard dorm room, and she keeps her spooky stuff there.

It's a Treat:
She has a number of possessed toys that can do a range of things, but generally she has several that she always keeps close when she can. These can grow to larger versions of themselves. Humanoid ones become human-sized, but capable of taking INSANE amounts of damage. Inhuman ones can become up to ten feet tall, depending, and some are capable of things like rending steel or leaping twenty feet in the air, zooming at 90 MPH, etc, depending.

Some specific named ones:

Shadow.A small wooden horse on a wheeled chassis.That was a popular design back when toys were made of wood.Shadow can turn into a large black horse, who can follow mystical pathways and is able to track specific persons like a bloodhound.Its nature is unrevealed.Maybe horses can be ghosts too.

Detective Hardesty.A dogged police detective, cursed to be a ghost until the murderer and wizard Rictus is permanently dead.Eve housed him in a sort of zombie monkey plush.The powerful Rictus was scared of Hardesty.It is unclear whether this ghost chose to stay with Eve or continue his quest.

Jammybottom.A weird, hand-made doll wearing pajama trousers, hence the name Eve gave him.Jammybottom is a dead little witch boy with a complex origin.He can assume a larger, more-monstrous-than-his-baseline form, and devour other ghosts.

Elf.One of her favourite dolls when she was 7 or so.He looks like a little boy with an onion-shaped goblinoid head.As a kid Eve couldn't pronounce his real name, so she just called him elf.'Elf' can turn into a troll-sized brute to defend Eve.

Posey.A monster doll that is halfway between the Creature from the Black Lagoon, and a sahuagin in AD&D.It can become about two metres tall, with claws and fangs.

Examples of other things her toys have done:

* Sent somebody trying to grab her flying, using either air control or telekinesis.
* Helped her sew a pair of hands onto a mutilated Gunwitch.?This seemed to have been done more quickly than Eve could have on her own.It also might have involved magic, since we don't know whether physically attaching the hands is sufficient.
* Removed a small book from a vampire's hands when he wasn't paying attention.

Nocturnals:
She belongs to a found family of supernatural weirdos, and while she is trying to get by on her own, she can give a call to California if she really needs to. Her dad will send her money if the need arises, and sometimes the Gunwitch pops up to protect her in incredibly bad situations, before vanishing back into the dark. Things like that.

Beacon:
Eve gives up an uncontainable supernatural aura. It draws the supernatural, and supernatural happenings, to her. It means when she stays somewhere for awhile things start happening. If a ghost is going to haunt someone, it's next door. If a vampire is seeking a lair, it's around the corner. If a necromancer is looking for an obscure tome, it happens to be in her roomie's private library (On accident!), etc.

Enemies:
Due to her membership in the Nocturnals she has enemies. For one, there is the Crim. They invaded her former planet, and now have sights on Earth. They have no issue working with other insidious people or species, and are a constant plague. Also, the Norn-K Corporation wants to take down her family for a various number of reasons, both personal and due to their connection to the Crim. Finally, a lot of mob families know of and hate her father due to his connection to a specific family, and will use that against her.

Light:
While she is not afraid of sunlight like her father, she still lives a mostly nocturnal life. She sunburns easily, and isn't a huge fan of very bright light. Sudden changes in lighting can temporarily blind her easier then normal people.

Troublemaker:
Eve gets bored easily. She seeks excitement. She jumps at a chance to explore a haunted asylum, or investigate a kidnapping case, or whatever. It tends to get people around her into trouble a lot.
