Profile
The only child to a well-known cardiac surgeon father and a well-respected coporate lawyer mother, Kendall Vaillant grew up in a Manhattan life of luxury; with a nanny. Tossed out of many private schools her parents tried to enroll her in, she found her solace in skateboarding at an early age. It was only within the past few years that this skaterat with a golden spoon discovered she had the ability to heal wounds on herself and others. With this came a new sense of purpose and she has taken to the streets to offer assistance. She is still trying to keep a low profile, but people have started calling her "The Mender", only adding to her desire and feeling of obligation to help those in need.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 2002: Kendall is born in Manhattan to Dr. Jean-Pierre and Emily Vaillant.
* 2003: Kendall is placed under the care of a live-in nanny as her parents are married to their professions.
* 2007: Kendall starts school at a prestigious private educational facility in Manhattan.
* 2011: At the age of 9, Kendall is tossed out of prestigious private school facility and after some convincing is enrolled in a public school.
* 2012: With a lot more freedom, Kendall discovers a group of skater friends who she quickly bonds to. She begins skateboarding herself and makes her nanny spend hours at the skatepark.
* 2014: Kendall begins middle-school and tries her best to stay in school. Her time here earns her a placement in a private boarding High School to try and straighten her out.
* 2018: Kendall is once more tossed out school and her parents decide that home-schooling is best. Kendall likes the format and freedom.
* 2020: After a skateboarding accident, Kendall discovers something about herself. When touching her bleeding knee, the wound slowly heals itself before her eyes. She tells nobody.
* 2021: Kendall explores her newly discovered abilities, mostly on her skater friends who she swears to secrecy.
* 2022: Having a pretty good handle on her abilities, Kendall has started to actually seek out those in need in the city. Her secrecy slowly vanishing and people starting to call her: The Mender.

Personality
Caring:
Somewhere through that tough skater exterior is a young woman with a huge caring heart for those in need. She has been known to help at local food pantries and soup kitchens, as well as doing what she can to help a homeless individual in need. This has only gotten stronger with her newfound abilities.
Fear of Failure:
She will not show it, but it bothers Kendall that she is a failure in her parent's eyes. She does not want to care, but deep down she really does. All she ever wanted was their attention. She knows that was the reason she acted out all the time. She does not know how to make them proud and hopes one day that she will.
Loyal:
It may not seem at first glance, but as you get to know Kendall you will find that she is extremely loyal to those who are loyal to her. When push comes to shove, you can always count on her to have your back.
No Filter:
Going along with her rebel status, Kendall has no filter and will basically speak her mind. She hates to be told what to do and will not hesitate to let you know exactly what she is feeling.
Rebel:
Kendall has always been a little rebellious and had trouble accepting authority. The therapist she used to go to attributed to having absent parents. Whatever the reason, Kendall often has a carefree and screw you attitude when confronted by a figure of authority and it has gotten her in trouble more times than she can count.
Skate Rat:
Kendall has been a Skate Rat since middle school. One of those kids who lives the skater lifestyle. This is seen as more a physical personality trait as she is always dressed in what people would deem as skater clothes, having adopted the look and mannerisms.

Powers
Diagnostic Touch:
By laying her hands on an individual, Kendall can tell a patient's past injury history and/or their current health. This is purely diagnostic as she cannot heal a disease or something viral.
Go To Sleep:
By laying her hands on either side of an individual's head, Kendall can slow the blood flow to the person's brain and render them unconscious.
Healing Touch:
Kendall has the following abilities when it comes to a healing touch:
* Stop the Bleeding: Laying her hands on a wound, Kendall can slow the bleeding to a stop and eventually close the wound entirely. The larger the wound and the more bleeding, it takes longer and is much more draining on her.
* No Longer Broken: Laying her hands on a broken digit or limb, Kendall has the ability to mend the broken bone; essentially speeding up the healing process. Like a basic wound, the larger the break the more time it takes and the more draining it is on her. The most severe breaks leaving her in a weakened state.
* Start it Up: Kendall has discovered that she is able to start a heart again by laying her hands on a person's chest. This is basically a shortcut CPR and cannot be used to start the heart of a long deceased.
Skills
Athletic:
Kendall never did sports in school. She never really had the grades to do so. However, nobody ever questioned her athletic ability when they did see her run or climb in gym class. By no means was she an all-star athlete, but she certainly possesses the ability to engage in athletic activity with success and not looking a fool.
Drawing:
Kendall has always liked art and often found herself drawing when she could not go out and skate. Most of what she draws in in simple black pencil and it is something she still enjoys doing. It grounds her and she has been known to sketch people on the subway and gift it to them. Art was the one class she never skipped.
Fashion:
Kendall has always had her own style and coupled with her drawing skills has enjoyed designing different types of skater fashion and other similar styles. It is not a world she wants to get into, but if you need something designed, she seems to have the ability to do so.
French:
Kendall's father was originally from Quebec and from an early age French was spoken in her home in addition to English. She is completely fluent in the language and can read and write it as well.
Skateboarding:
Kendall is an accomplished skateboarder and has been doing it since she was very young. She still spends a good amount of time at the skatepark and can perform may high level tricks.
Streetwise:
Kendall has spent a lot of time on the street of Manhattan. She will even tell you she knows the city streets better than she does her own home. Time spent on the streets has certainly given her the knowledge of the do's and don'ts of remaining safe.

Daddy and Mommy:
Kendall's parents are well-known in the upper-class of Manhattan. Her father is a well-known cardiac surgeon, and her mother is a respected corporate lawyer in the city. They have a penthouse in the city. They have money. If Kendall really needed anything she could get it from them from the sheer guilt they feel for feeling like they failed in her raising.
Gang Connections:
Kendall has a few notable connections on the streets of Manhattan. Some of them are gang related, as she has assisted them after some violence. In fact, a lot of the gangs in the city are very protective of her. A good thing to have in your back pocket and not to have to worry about.
Weaknesses
Feeling Obligated:
With her newfound powers Kendall is beginning to feel a burden of trying to help as many peope as she can. She knows there are people out there who have been hurt in acts of violence that she could help save and this weighs on her.
Just Be Proud:
Kendall really wants her parents to be proud of her. She knows she has not been the bets daughter in the world and even though she blames them partly for this, she wants their attention without having to act up for it. Deep down she wants to be something and to hear those words from her parents.
Only Human:
Kendall is only human and with no real defense. She can be wounded fairly easily(possibly heal herself), and is pretty squishy in a massive fight.
Power Draining:
Depending on the severity of the wound she is trying to heal, Kendall can find herself extremely drained and left vulnerably weakened. It is as if she is giving her essence through her hands to heal the individual and she needs time to recuperate. The more sever the wound, the longer it takes her to be herself again.
