For the one, a number of items from the Loft Apartment above the ruins of the Laughing Magician have been moved out and into the Curio--dispered between Phoebe's apartment and others who might have use for them. To be honest, not much survived the destructive cyclonic force of the Archangel bursting through the structure. Chas has maybe three sets of clothes to his name and one jacket among those. He's at least managed to get his phone, wallet, and keys back--small favors from his former abductor, so he at least has his car and a means of mundane communications.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Another change, is that he's mostly moved out of the Curio and into the apartment of Asariel Basotini in Brooklyn. While he was grateful for his daughter's assistance and the loan of his old place, there were a number of memories in that apartment that needed to be left there and not carried with him--between bullet holes, broken door frames, and residual feelings of emotions felt there... it was all a different lifetime to the man and one that he would cherish but also one he needed to move on from if he was ever going to get a handle on his life as it was now.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;One thing that hasn't changed was his constant contact with his family. Geraldine recieved regular calls from him (the cell bill must be devastating) before her bedtime--easy enough to make a phone call at 3:30 PM. It was a decision he had made not long after calling her the first chance he received after waking. And it is a habit he wanted to maintain given everything that his life has become. The other person he keeps in regular contact with is his other daughter: Phoebe. Between texts--he's a millenial, he understands the terror that is "talking on the phone"--and occasional application messages over more direct services he lets her know that she is always in his thoughts.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;But sometimes texts won't do for important discussions and the young lady's phone lights up with Chas' number (and whatever monicker she's listed him as in it: probably Cabbie Dad). Given his usual means of texting or messaging, for to warrant a call, it must be important.<br> <br>

Who wants to be living right next to their ruined workplace? <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Phoebe had brought some additional clothes by for Chas between recovering items from the bar and the loft apartment, including some of her own drawings and a book of mandalas carefully copied. The temporary lodgings at her apartment in 3A was traded out, and Phoebe understood that it was only ever going to be temporary. She can't keep Chas separated -- protected -- forever. She's almost always been able to heal herself, other than that one time with the giant sand scorpion venom, the venom purposefully made to kill Phoebe, which required time in the House of Mystery and the help of Papa Midnite. <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Wasn't THAT a time. <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Phoebe, as it turns out, can actually heal herself.
