Most of SHIELD's systems were reinforced and secured, but the force of the electro-magnetic explosion still wreaked havoc upon the data structure of the intelligence agency.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ten minutes ago two missiles slammed into the side of the building, one exploding on the top floor doing immense damage to the deployed anti-aircraft batteries that had been firing to intercept the incursion. The other missile impacted in the side of the building without exploding, but instead discharged a Kill Team of Svartalfar that infiltrated the building in an attempt to assassinate the informant. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;They were not successful.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The forces of SHIELD rallied and ejected the intruders who were crippled by the EMP explosion, but also the assassination team that was eliminated by remote detonation of suicide charges in their helmets. All in all it left the Triskelion in a mess.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Images on television were visible with the smoke pouring out of the top of the building, and the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors were heavily damaged by the impact of the missile. Now with the state of alert lowered to a yellow cautionary status the systems were reengaged and damage control teams were moving quickly into the building and the different affected areas. Though thankfully to Carin's presence a lot of the damage has already been mitigated if not fully addressed.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It was down in the gun-range that Agent Aaron found himself when the building went into lockdown, the red lights flashing on. He kept his sidearm and grabbed a spare as he darted toward the doors and into the stairwell to start the long climb upward.<br> <br>

To coordinate damage control parties and as a medbay for overflow. The command and control functions of the Triskelion are mostly intact and operational. Sweep teams are still searching for more of the scarabs - if any are left functional that could be more threats.. Or taken intact enough to reverse engineer.<br><br>Natasha Romanoff is returning from one such sweep along the upper levels of the Triskelion where room to room searches had gone on for furhter infiltrators or damage to the headquarters. Sure she can maintain a high velocity for some time, but for the eternity it seemed like for not just her, but everyone else in the attack, she was redlining hard. Zipping up and down stairs, ferrying medical supplies from far-off corners of the Triskelion to the Cafeteria, and putting out literal fires with whatever extinguishers she could grab and empty, having deposited probably a dozen or so red canisters in a pile off to the side of the stairs.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This is to say nothing of her hauling and helping injured as best she could. She's not a triage nurse and she still rather has the strength of a 19-year-old girl, so pulling a fireman's carry at mach1 was not going to happen. Still, she did her best. Bandages here, yanking people from falling debris there, and even in the end of it managed to smash some beetles trying to get into the fifth floor from the fourth floor ceiling.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Which is when the EMP goes off.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Maybe she hadn't gotten the memo of which sections of hallway were safe, or where to go when the security camera lights turn red. Or maybe the Director wasn't aware of her cybernetic implants and exact location. Not that she could fault him for pulling the trigger when so much was still at stake and happening. So when the blast comes, the world freezes for Carin.<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Not in the same sort of hyper-awareness speed, but literally freezes. Her Brain Box siezes up, a cascade of failures running through her nervous system. It might be the only real piece of electronics she's got, but it's wired into her frontal cortex. The image in her HUD glitches, her eyes go wide, and then it's just blackness. For all intents and purposes, her vital signs on the command monitors go flat as all connections are severed. <br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The rescue teams doing a sweep on the fourth floor will find the redhead in SHIELD-issue 'combat business' attire and her courier bag having slammed solidly into a wall and crumped up in the corner. The girl had been at a dead sprint when everything shut down, but they'll find she still, at least, has a pulse.<br> <br>

When the alarms had sounded that there were incoming missiles, she had moved for that door. Only to have it slam closed and lock down. Leading to her slapping it a few times because it was the fault of that door in that moment of irritation. Followed by a slight rumble of the building around them, felt less severely this far down and particularly insulated since R&amp;D had a tendency to--well, blow things up from time to time in their testing areas. <br><br>Then she was trying to highjack the system, using her computer. That didn't work. She broke out a torch to try to get through the wall to the door control systems but that was equally useless since it would take far too long to cut through. <br><br>Meaning for three minutes that felt like an eternity to someone who could only listen to radio traffic, Monica was at her wit's end. Then the shielding slammed down around the room, double locking them in. And the EMP pulse was unleashed but their area was shielded so that nothing potentially blew up down there. Again. <br><br>Then it was over. The lockdown ended and the shields rose up then the doors unlocked as well. She pulled out a wrist remote and typed in, sending out a wave of small drones, each about the size of a mouse, into the air to start looking for survivors and analyzing structural date. <br><br>Monica herself had already gotten a gun out of the weapons case, slipping it into a holster. Then the weapons belt was snapped on as she was running for the stairs toward the damaged areas to see what she could do to help. It was more than the upper floors since she had been in the lower levels. She ran into Alexander on her way up, giving him a look that showed her concern for the situation but saying nothing. <br><br>When they reached the fourth floor, the passage up blocked by debris, leading to her skidding to a stop basically and staring at it. When a nearby drone pinged on her wrist control. "Survivor. Nearby," she said for Alexander's benefit. <br><br>She turned to follow the signal.<br> <br>

There are no longer any combat viable intruders though the security stations are still on heightened alert. No longer are any sensors picking up anything, and according to Vintridr's statement about Svartalfar Kill Teams, the units of import were all accounted for. Three dead dark elves, 20 dead hover drones, and thousands upon thousands of scarabs in various states of disrepair were all accounted for. The 4th through 6th floor gets the most strenuous scrutiny, however.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Teams come from above and below, securing each room and moving from point to point. He checks into the conference room whose electronics are still sizzling. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Then he turns his head when she mentions survivor and nods, letting her take point as she starts to lead them toward her...<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Which is when poor Carin was discovered.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Agent Aaron immediately goes to his knees beside her, moving a piece of debris out of the way, checking her neck with two fingers. "Got a pulse."<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Several other teams break past them, moving and checking the various rooms that have yet to be secured. The data displays for SHIELD start converting rooms marked from red to yellow. Med reports come up with survivors being found. Remote orders are issued sending people from one location to another. Alex's own display angles them toward the cafeteria.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;"Spine seems intact." He says as he makes a quick observation. "Looks like she collapsed from... something." Since no direct physical harm could be found.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;He lifted her in his arms and then turned to Monica giving a nod as they started to head back to the stairwell.<br> <br>

She goes to calmly voice her sector by sector position and checks.
