They need time to decompress and put themselves back together before they feel comfortable being around friends and family again. Which is not the situation Carol Danvers finds herself in. Did she recently have to respond to a series of sabotaged trains threatening to cause mass casualties as part of some HYDRA plot? Yes. But that is literally just a Friday for an Avenger.<br><br>Not that Carol doesn't have those moments of loneliness that most people have.
