Homo magi refers to a specific subset of evolved humans with a genetic propensity for magic and a personal connection to not just the Demiurge but the Power Cosmic itself. Most of the homo magi descend from ancient Atlantis stock, scattered to the four corners of the Earth with the destruction wrought by Ragnarok.
Not all spellcasters are homo magi, but all homo magi are able to tap into cosmic magical energies. They are among the most potent and powerful of mortal spellcasters, able to channel sufficient energy to change the universe around them with nothing but focus and will. The most powerful among them can rewrite reality to their will with few discernable limits to their power.
