The Inhumans are universally metagenetic, due to exposure to the Kree-designed Terrigen Mists. Like all metahumans, they draw upon the Celestial encoding latent in their genetic code. The Terrigen Mists trigger meta-genetic events in any exposed Homo Sapien. These mists are not dangerous to metahumans, but are universally fatal to humans who lack the Celestial encoding..
