Cast of Characters: Mary Seward, Selene Corvinus
Tinyplot: Red Reign

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward Seems that Gotham had a bit of a vampire conundrum. The local news reports on disappearing citizens, were one thing but another was outright seeing a pair of vampires brazenly feeding on someone in the streets. They had some explaining to do.

Of course, getting some answers from these louts would be easy for a death dealer of her qualifications. Apparently, they were with a group calling themselves the Blood Red Moon. That would ring a bell or two. They were something of a cult, voicing quite radical views in regards with how to handle humankind. With their leader Mary Seward, calling herself The Queen of Blood.

Now, this makeshift coven had made a home for itself in Gotham...as for where they WERE in Gotham, getting that information was also easy. They were moving around the city as they pleased, but it seemed they had currently made a nice home for themselves in Chinatown's warehouse district. Time to pay a visit then.

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene was not in perfect standing with the Death Dealers anymore, at least the ones still loyal to the Elder Covens of her people. She did have a small group of loyalist Death Dealers who still pledged their allegiances to Selene's cause, however, which is to be expected after centuries of working together. Not everyone in her Coven were on her 'hit list' today, afterall, just the ones she knew were actively keeping truths from her...

Tonight, a black motorcycle nimbly weaves its way through traffic, a female rider in all black, gently navigating the agile vehicle between cars, and through alleyways.

With the bright headlight of the bike casting long shadows through one particular alley, Selene cuts the bike's rumbling engine, and plants her booted feet upon the dirty pavement on either sides of the bike. Her dark brown eyes scan over the street on this dark section of Chinatown, her hands releasing the handlebars of the bike, and a foot kicking down the bike's stand, as she dismounts from its leather seat, the leather of her own close-fit attire quietly creaking against her form as she moved.

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward and her cronies were no doubt able to hear the woman's approach on their, for lack of a better term, "lair". Even if they sought to hide this knowledge by not showing themselves outright.&r&r As she'd enter, she could hear them shuffle about and move. She could hear how they hissed, and snarled at the entrance of this outsider. By the sounds of it, there were dozens of them in here. So many vampires fresh off of a high of bloodshed, no doubt waiting to throw themselves at her.

But at the behest of their queen, no such thing would occur. A mist blew in through the front door, swirling around Selene before forming into a shape. A pale woman with crimson eyes, hair match and clothing that left even less to the imagination than Selene's jumpsuit.

"Pretty bold as hell to just walk into another coven's territory without so much as a heads-up...I like it." Mary, no doubt, smiled with her fangs bared. "What can I do for you, Neighbor?"

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene had only gotten a small distance from her motorcycle, when those doors opened, and the swirl hearlded the arrival of the woman addressing her. She'd heard the noises within the building, she could smell the beings within it. The words spoken to her cause her to gently tip her head to the right, her hair gently blowing in the wind with its locks of light brown fading down in to black tips at her shoulders.

"I am investigating sightings of an unusual nature to this place." The woman says, a voice of purring hues, laced in a European accent.

"My name is Selene..." She states, her hands at her sides where she has a pair of visible handguns holstered upon the outside of her thighs. "I don't believe we've met before..."

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward shakes her head. "No, we haven't. But, I have heard of you...Death Dealer." She turns around, and begins walking into the warehouse. Confident enough to leave her back turned on a woman she knows to be armed.

"You know, I already ran into another vampire while I was here, but I wasn't expecting one of you Hungarian Vampires to pop up too...Thought you'd be off in, you know...Hungary."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene's brown eyed gaze remains fixed upon Mary, as the other woman responds. She watches her turn to re-enter the building, and with a slight glance around her own location, Selene followed along at a casual clip of a pace. "My people have been branching out for a long time," she explained. "Our New World Coven set roots down here quite a number of years ago, by which I mean to say in Manhattan. Some... issues with old enemies pushed us further in to Gotham, at the time."

As she steps in to the threshold of the building's open doorway, Selene let her eyes wander, before falling again upon Mary. "And what of your coven, Miss...?" She asks in a smooth toned voice, one that would be pleasant to most ears.

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward looks behind herself. "Right, right. The Lycans, how could I forget?...Don't worry, I've never been much of a dog person either." She stops in place, once she reaches the center, turning fully to properly face Selene again. "Still, Manhattan! That's nice. We're actually planning on heading to New York next so, if you still have any people up there, we might tell them you said hi."

Selene's gazing would show her many of the vampires who would call this woman their queen. Many of them staring down at her, with a fixed determination. Suspicion was always a bedfellow of the vampire.

"My coven?" Mary's eyes snap up to Selene's, as it seemed she'd been eye-balling the Hungarian vampire while she was occupied with the rest of the room. "Oh, right. Of course, where are my manners?...We don't really use the word Coven...we're more of a movement. Either way...I humbly introduce you to the Blood Red Moon. Like, I said, we're planning on moving out of this place once we've had our fun. We're more what you call...nomadic, rather than staying in the same cramped up castles for thousands of years. I mean, there's so much world out there for us to see...we should see it."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene's eyes did indeed roam over the visible underlings that seem to be here to serve their red mistress. But it was when Mary began to speak again, and named her little society here, that Selene regarded her again. With the ambience of the vampires that occupy this building setting an odd tone to the backdrop, Selene stared once more at Mary.

"A movement?" She questions, calmly and with a continued gentle grace to her voice. "And what are you moving toward?" She adds in-question, casting a glance around once more, before her eyes returned to the red-hued pupils of Mary's own.

"I'm curious, because I have had... let's say, a bit of a falling out with many of my own people. To the point that my arrival back to the United States may upset some of the Hungarian Vampires that reside here, should you run in to them... They may not wish you to be kind toward me, in fact."

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward felt a brow arch up, as this Corvinus captivated her curiousity. "Oh, freshly fired, huh? Well, if you need a new place to stay, we'd love to offer. We're always welcoming new members." One of Mary's arms finds its way around Selene's shoulders. Seemed that Mary wasn't all that courteous for personal space.

"Well, I'd say we're moving towards the emancipation of the vampire. No more of us hiding from the shadows, having to tip-toe around humanity. Their oppression of us. We were meant to inherit the earth, but we let aliens and masked men do it in our stead...and to that, my dear discharged death dealer, I object. Some may call us radical, others a cult...I simply call us how we are...Revolutionaries."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene was no stranger to very confident Coven leaders, with a bold bravado, a confident swagger, and a sense of self value that most in this world may not even come close to possessing. It came with the territory of being an immortal being, afterall, and the older a Vampire got... the more those qualities often were pushed to the forefront of their mental condition.

Selene allowed the arm to find its way around her shoulders, as she was still sussing this woman out, so to speak. Her own hands remained at her sides, her fingers not far from the handles of her guns.

"We'll see." She quietly replied to Mary. "I'm prone to working on my own, in my current state, however. But that's not to say I'm not interested in allies. Point of fact, I'm here to offer that. Should you avoid the Hungarian Vampires, if they were to come calling... and instead, offer them little more than a cold shoulder..." She glanced at the arm around her own, then back to Mary. "I would offer some of my services to you in return. I can be a helpful ally in any possible hostile situations... though I do not abide by harming innocent Humans any longer."

Selene's right hand raises up, and between forefinger and thumb, she holds a silver vial. "My people have created a synthetic blood, to disconnect us from the mundane chore of hunting Humans for food. I offer you a supply of this, should you wish to avoid entanglement with Humans... or the local vigilantes of Gotham City. Their caped Bats... will not take kindly to your feasting on their locals." She quietly warns of the consequences of hunting in Gotham's borders.

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward takes takes the vial from Selene's hand and holds it up, giving it a prolong look-over. Though, the comment on "bats" does snap her out of it. "There it is about this Batman again. I can turn into an actual bat, I'm not impressed by a guy who pretends to be one." She snorts. "That being said, I appreciate your offer, dear Selene. I think we can work out this arrangement quite well" There's that sharp smile of hers again.

"I don't think we were ever in a rush to partner up with the Corvinus clan anyway. They stink of pretentiousness and self-righteousness...No offense to you, of course."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
While in America, both before her past year back in Hungary, and obviously now... Selene has dealt with a lot of American Vampires, and American Werewolves. They amuse her. She tries to keep that amusement in-check in the moment, because she is rather surrounded by unknowns, afterall. She let Mary take the vial, as it was her gift to the Red Queen of this movement, and instead just gently nodded her head a single time to what the woman stated.

"Be careful. Even if you do not respect the Batman, he has many capable allies. Including some who have fought literal Gods, and won. Should you become a thorn in his side, he will try to pull it out."

A faint smirk is shown upon the Death Dealer's lips, the first bit of emotion she's shown on a face that doesn't look quite as pale as the average vampire's skin tone.

"That one is my gift to you." She notes of the silver vial. "Should you wish to solidify a mutually beneficial relationship? Well, I'd be happy to provide you..." she casts her hhead around at the minions surrounding them. "... and yours, as much as you need to stay hidden. A movement moves better when concealed, afterall."

Another hint of a smirk is shown, before she turns back the way she'd come, apparently intent on heading back to where she'd come in.

Mary Seward has posed:
Mary Seward meets Selene's half-smirk with a fuller smirk of her own. "See, I knew I liked you." She plays with the vial in her hand for a while. Twirling it about. She liked the way it felt.

"I think we'll be seeing eachother again very soon, Selene. I know you said you work alone...but as far as I'm concerned, you're one of us now. Ride on, sister." Her free hand raises to wave the departing vampire off. "May the Blood Red Moon shine upon you eternally."
