Despite being completely deaf, Maya Lopez has become quite the combatant and leader in the New York City undergound crime scene. Her ability to mimic anything she sees only once, has earned her the name Echo. The Cheyenne born woman is always recognizable by the white hand print on her face.
Timeline

Timeline:
1997: Maya Lopez is born to William "Crazy Horse" Lincoln, a member of the Cheyenne tribe, and Enesta Lincoln-Lopez.
1997-2002: Maya is raised and due to her ability to read lips keeps her deafness a secret for a long time.
2002: Maya begins school is a regular school with no assistance as her parents could not afford special schooling. She quickly begins to show an ability to copy and mimic others to find academic success.
2004: Maya loses her mother Enesta as she tragically died from a mob-related incident ignited by mafia godfather Don Rigoletto, the main rival of the Kingpin. In the same altercation that her mother was killed in, Maya lost her right leg below the knee.
2005: Maya is enrolled in martial-arts classes and quickly proves to be a skilled and fast learner by her ability to watch and mimic her classmates.
2006: Maya expresses further ability with her skill in duplicating a song in a piano recital and eventually is placed in a gifted program where she flourishes in dancing and the arts.
2007: Through the generosity of her "Uncle" Wilson Fisk, who oversaw the Tracksuit Mafia in which her father was the leader, Maya was sent to the finest schools and was able to have the finest education.
2014: Maya completes her college degree, many years earlier than a typical student.
2015: Maya's father is killed secretly by Kingpin's order and Maya is eventually taken in my Wilson Fisk to be raised as her legal Guardian.
2016-Present: Maya continues to run within the underground crime syndicates in New York City, leading the Tracksuit Mafia.

Callous:
At times, Maya has shown no sympathy for others. Those who stand in the way of what she wishes to accomplish are simply pawns and need to be removed. She does not question killing if it needs to be done and has an ability to remain stoic in the most violent situations.
Closed Off:
Having experienced the tragic murder of both her parents at different times, Maya has closed herself off to many people. She is very loyal, but she is also slow to trust others or let them in. There is a lot about Maya that many people do not know and it is not stuff she will ever share. She quite literally hides behind her silence.
Driven:
Maya is very driven to achieve her goals. All through her life she has adapted to compensate for her handicaps and this has made her very strong. She will do whatver needs to be done to make sure she comes out on top. Failure is never an option. Failure shows weakness and she has always felt that people have peceived her that way.
Loyal:
Maya is extremely loyal to those she trusts and cares for. If you are in Maya's good graces, you can count on her to support you and be there when needed. She has always been loyal to her family, as well as her adopted guardian: Kingpin.
Stubborn:
Much like being driven, Maya is stubborn in her ways. If she feels it is the best way to do something, there is nothing that can be done or said that will change her mind. Do not tell her that she is incapable. Do not tell her that she is wrong, or she will do anything she can to make you look the fool.

Photographic Reflexes:
Echo is capable of perfectly duplicating any physical movement or action she sees with perfection after watching it only once. This has allowed her to mimic many other heroe's fighting styles, acrobatics as well as marksmanship.
Slightly Enhanced Senses:
Due to her deafness, Maya's other senses are slightly enhanced. However, this is not on a superpower level.
Skills

Asl Mastery:
Maya has mastered American Sign Language and it is the main way she communicates as she does not speak frequently at all.
Concert Pianist:
Maya is considered a concert level pianist despite being deaf, as she is able to duplicate any piece of music she watches someone play.
Expert Marksman:
Through watching other experts in shooting, Maya has developed the skill necessary to prove herself to be an expert marksman.
Gifted Dancer(Ballerina):
Maya is a gifted dancer in various styles, though she prefers ballet and has performed on some major New York City stages.
Martial Arts Mastery:
In addition to her early training, Maya has developed a mastery in many martial arts forms thorough numerous hours of watching videos and other well-skilled heroes.
Master Acrobat:
By watching various acrobats and other heroes with advance acrobat ability, Maya has proven herself to be very advanced in acrobatic skills.
Read Lips:
Maya is an expert at reading lips and as long as she can see the lips of the person speaking, she can understand what is being said. However, she cannot communicate orally back.

Guardian Wilson Fisk:
Maya's legal guardian has and continues to be the "Kingpin". This comes with all sort of benefits and resources.
Tracksuit Mafia:
Maya has the support and protection of the Tracksuit Mafia and the larger organization that it falls under. Through this she has weaponry and other necessities at her disposal.
Weaknesses

Artificial Leg:
Maya is missing her right leg below the knee and has a prosthetic. It does not affect her that greatly, but is neccessary for her to walk and fight.
Deaf:
Maya is completely deaf and cannot hear things around her. As a result, anything that would require her sense of hearing in her perception is nullified. If she cannot read lips (if the person is not facing her or is wearing a mask), Maya cannot understand what they are saying if they do not use ASL.
Life of Crime:
Maya has been the leader of the Tracksuit Mafia, a crime sub-syndicate in the city. She has made some enemies.
Unanswered Past:
Maya does not know the real reason behind her father's death, and she still does seek answers for it. This could lead to potential danger should she get close to dicovering the truth.
