Synopsis: Disaster averted! It was Superman and Shazam, what'd you expect?
Cast of Characters: Billy Batson, Clark Kent

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam fought a giant robot Sentinel once. He made fast work of it, tearing its reactor out and hurling it to sea. That might have been the end of it except the reactor was not reacting well to this. EMP pulse from the thing interfered with ships, then then weather turned dark and stormy even as the waters began to churn and STAR labs put out a call to heroes to respond.

Billy was horrified by this. He usually cleaned up after himself. Hearing the emergency alert on his ear bud he called the lightning and flew off. A leaky reactor, arc or otherwise was going to be bad news. As he closed in the wind tore at him and he was expending more and more effort to ward himself against the random lightning. Changing back at mach 3 was a bad idea. that was when a huge bolt hit him. It didn't turn him back. It did leave him stunned and going ballistic.

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman was patrolling above the city in uniform on this fine day in March, letting the cool breeze flow over him as he moves fast, but not too fast. His super hearing was listening, and his super vision was watching for anything out of the ordinary. You never knew when someone would need his help!

Then, Superman heard it. Was that lightning and thunder in the distance? Pointing his vision in that direction, where the storm was approaching, Superman makes out a form...that was just sent a jolt!

Pushing his speed within the atmosphere to its maximum without causing any damage, he hurtles towards Shazam, hopefully to catch him before he falls.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam is falling. The world churning. The Courage of Achilles forces his eyes open. He sees someone approaching. Superman? No. Not yet at least. It's a slim red-head with glowing green eyes. Irie West, lost in time, reaches out to touch his face. She doesn't speak. She just fixes that half stern, half impish look she used when she needed him to try harder in their races or antics. He starts to clear his mind as the vision fades. He never let Irie down. He's not starting now. Lightning continues to rattle him. He keeps falling.

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman smiles at Shazam as he catches him, letting the charge "discharge" around them. Gritting his teeth at the shock, he narrows his eyes at the storm. The weather whips his cape behind him angrily, and his hair gets all messed up fluttering in the wind. It was quite a situation!

Letting Shazam go, and raising his voice so he can be heard, Superman says, "Looks like quite a mess! I take it you want to take care of this asap? What's the plan, sir? You were here first, you are in charge."

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam shakes his head and Irie is truly gone, morphing into Superman. He peers into the storm. "Do I look like a guy with a plan, sir? wow, lots of sirs today. So just call me Billy if you like. Charging in was probably a mistake. Uhm I can probably disperse a lot of this storm and you can grab that reactor and throw it in the Sun, or whatever you do. And thanks for the save!" Well he helped Miss ALura rescue him so this tallies nicely. Some lightning flares around his eyes and he begins to fly on his own.

Clark Kent has posed:
"Billy it is. When we are in private. Sounds good!" Superman nods towards the storm.

"You got it. Let me know when you are good to go dispersing the storm then, and I'll grab the reactor, then get rid of it. On your signal!"

Superman prepares himself, and looks back. "And you are welcome! Anytime!"

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam grins and says, "No time like the present si... Supes!"

Okay... Power of Zeus! You don't invoke Zeus lightly. Billy concentrates. He really feels like Billy, the kid in a costume when he does this. The lightning flows upward. But he holds it at bay, a churning vortex around him. The reactor fights his control.

Not control, be the storm. That almost gets him chuckling at Chevy Chase's 'Be the ball' scene in Caddyshack.

Focus! Power of Zeus!

Clark Kent has posed:
"Very impressive..." Superman says, truly impressed.

As the storm abates, Superman "leaps" forward at super speed, flying into the heart of the storm. Gone from Billy's vision for several seconds, Superman then rockets out of the water and into the sky, holding the Sentinel Reactor in his arms.

With a quick salute using his right hand, Superman turns into a blur, and heads into the atmosphere.

Arriving in the vacuum out of the Earth's pull, Superman takes a moment. Then, with a hard push using ALL of his massive strength, he aims carefully, does several calculations, and throws the reactor into the sun, gone forever.

Finally, Superman turns back towards Earth, and heads back with a flash of blue, red and yellow.

Billy Batson has posed:
Shazam lets the lightning around him detonate harmlessly. He applauds as Superman returns, whiping water from his eyes. He may be invulnerable but it's annoying. 'Wow... that was... super!" It must be nice to have a lock on your own adjective. Also an adverb!

"Thank you. I gotta throw some kryptonite into the Sun for you sometime. I... actually welded Metallo's chest shut for your son. Please say 'hey' for me."

Clark Kent has posed:
Superman allows himself a warm grin. "What you did was "marvelous" Billy. I am impressed." Superman looks back at the storm, hoping it would now disperse.

"Very responsible of you to come back here, and take care of this. You are a true hero. We need more responsible heroes like you nowadays. Thank you."

"Yes, anytime you can get rid of Kryptonite for me, would be very much appreciated." A pause. "Oh? I will do that. Thank you for helping him. Metallo. Well. He's a tough villain. Glad you helped!"

With a final salute, Superman floats towards the next crisis. "Duty calls. We will have to do this again! Soon!"
