Synopsis: I'll send an S.O.S to the world
Cast of Characters: Reed Richards, Hyperion

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards has sent a request for Hyperion to drop his lab by the most common means of communication Superheroes use. Discord? Email? Super Secret Messaging? Whichever, he is working as always in the lab on some contrapyion or other, solving one of life's great mysteries, but he always has time for a friend, "He smiles as Hyperion arrives at the lab and takes a few moments to admit the hero. Pulling out a smallish cart with a sheet over it. He is dressed in his eponymous Blue unitard, with a lab coat and safety goggles over the hero outfit. He looks tired, but happy. he nods towards Hyperion as he goes to open the window.

Hyperion has posed:
In the case of Hyperion, it could be as simple as flashing an EM beacon at a specific frequency. Especially since Dr. Richards did perform an extensive study of Hyperion's physiology and energy signatures. And so when the energy is seen by his augmented senses, and he associates the location of it with the location where he met Dr. Richards previously... it is a matter of seconds before he comes to be hovering a few inches off of the balcony outside...

A hand is lifted and... being extraordinarily careful, he very delicately knocks on the window without exploding it inward. And when it is opened, he drifts slowly inside, "Long time, no see..." he says with a smirk, "I still love those glasses I wear in my civilian ID."

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards smiles easily, appreciating the caution but also realizing that this is the safest building in Manhattan, a place even the Angels feared to tread. He opens the glass with a push and invites Hyperion in. "Ah, thank you for coming so promptly Hyperion. I am glad to hear it, they are serving your well? I'm sorry about the hour but knowing your abilities, I am aware how little sleep you actually required and felt this was rather pressing news. Reed gestures towards the rolling table and the cloth, "I am not usually given to acts of drama but this seemed to warrant it. You recall the little project I was working on for you? I did manage to triangulate the relative location or your universe and, well, I also devised a means of conveyance for a small package, about the size of a bread box." Reed pulls the tarp and a small rocket-ish device is revealed, "A letter, keepsakes, this would allow you to send a sort of farewell letter or at least an explanation about your predicament to your previous home universe.

Hyperion has posed:
Lifting both eyebrows, Hyperion pauses and watches all of the displayed details very carefully. He examines them visually down to a microscopic level, and also with his ability to -see- EM energy. But then he pulls back and offers a sad smile, "It has been long enough that I hope everyone there has moved on. I think that getting even a single message from me might do more harm than good.... it may make them linger or cause them to hope for a return that may or may not ever come to pass."

He takes an unnecessary breath and shakes his head, "I thank you for all of the work you put in, and I would hate to make you feel like the effort you made was going to waste. But perhaps we could use it to find other parallel worlds that are in need of help. Places where just the right bit of information could change the course of events for the better."

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards blinks at the words, looking disappointed for just a moment, like a kid who won't get to play with a cool toy he was offering as a present in the hopes they would share. But at your words his face lights up and pulls out a tablet, generating a three dimensional 'white board' filling it with equations and notes and a lists. Reed loses himself in ideas in a way that anyone associated with him would be familiar. He catches you out of the corner of his eye and blinks at you a few minutes later, wondering what you are doing there and then remembering, "That is a fascinating idea Hyperion, truly, an idea I had not considered but yes there is no reason we could not. Thank you, would you like to be involved once I have found a group of worlds which could benefit from our intervention?"

Hyperion has posed:
"I would be honored." states Hyperion. "If you could figure out a way to project, even temporarily, holographic representations of ourselves... perhaps even keep the portal open, then we could truly communicate. I mean, you said you could send a bread box through. Is there a way to make a transceiver small enough?" he asks.

"Or could I feed some of my energy and power into your devices to enlarge the portal to some degree? Forgive me, I am no inventor or scientist, but I did hang around with someone who was both for quite some time."

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards nods, "Those are all excellent ideas, yes. I can look into using your abilities to enhance my investigations." Reed frowns and considers nodding, "No reason we cannot make a receiver that small, it would be a factor of distortion across multiversal distances and temporal shifts." Reed smiles, and tilts his head, "Someone bird themed perhaps?" He chuckles, "I would be curious to hear those stories sometimes. I will keep you apprised of my progress. I'm sorry my effort weren't immediately more ... productive but I think that this idea had some really merit in doing good across the multiverse.

Hyperion has posed:
"There is plenty of merit. I just think that my friends would better benefit in their lives from having peace, not chaos. For me, I might enjoy sending such a message, but at the same time... I truly think it would do more harm than good for my friends back home." says Hyperion softly, "It was a truly brilliant and generous idea you had. I thank you for considering it."

That said, Hyperion turns and steps a pace closer, reaching a hand for Reed's shoulder, "I do look forward to trying to make a difference for others not so fortunate however."

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards chuckles, and smiles as you place a shoulder on his hand, "I appreciate your generosity, Hyperion. I do as well, never hurts to bring more good into the universe. I haven't found an equation for it yet but I cannot help but feel that a rising tide lifts all boats. I think we can do a lot of good and I do not doubt that it will be a good thing for ou- this universe as well."

Hyperion has posed:
A nods and a warm smile are returned to Dr Richards. "Well, how about I give you my JLA contact frequency so that you can call me next time without needing to construct an apparatus to emit the right EM signature?" he asks, "Though, I suspect it was more fun for you to construct such a thing than to make a simple phone call."

As he speaks, he is already walking towards the window...

Reed Richards has posed:
Old Man Richards chuckles and grins, "Indeed you have spent time with scientists and inventors, I do have the JLA frequencies, one of the benefits of seniority. It was a fun diversion, I made it with only pieces from an old transistor radio, a Newton and a geiger counter. Have a good night, Hyperion. I should probably be getting some sleep."

Hyperion has posed:
"I'll get back to the city then. Sleep well friend." says Hyperion as he lifts off of the patio surface. And before another heartbeat can happen, he is gone. Not Batman's vanishing trick. Just gone too fast for most eyes to follow...
