Synopsis: Carol ties one at the bar, and Colleen Wing helps with a ride home.
Cast of Characters: Carol Danvers, Colleen Wing

Carol Danvers has posed:
The door to Luke's Bar opens. A woman walks out, moving with the kind of unsteady gait that suggests she's probably been at the bar for a little while. Carol Danvers has on a baseball cap, pulled low. It's not a Red Sox cap as she wants the hat to help her avoid attention rather than garner it in Yankee territory. It's got an emblem of her old fighter group on it. She has on a light jacket despite the warm weather, and jeans and boots.

Carol sways a little bit as she looks one way, and then the other, as if not sure which way she should be going. "Crap. Even harder to tell the way at night," she says as she glances up at the dark sky above. Drunken flying is a good way to end up going through a high rise window.

Fumbling in her pocket, she pulls out a phone and unlocks it, then begins looking through her apps for one that will summon a ride.

Colleen Wing has posed:
A long day. She had a lot of those. And this day resulted in one drink and ine drink only down at Luke's. She had gone down by herself and honestly she had not planeed on socializing with anyone. A quite seat at the end of the bar and one beer later, she decided enough was enough and decided to make her way back to her place.

She had noticed Carol in the bar, she was kind of standing out when she stood to exit, not exactly stable on her feet and she fund herself follwing the other woman out of the bar, a protective side kicking in to make sure she was not going to drive off or stagger nto some seedy back alley. As the woman pulls out her phone to call for a ride, Colleen watches as she bits her lower lip, venturing a soft word. "Um...are you all set? Have a ride or something?"

Carol Danvers has posed:
Carol Danver is a slow in in noting and responding to things, but the question from Colleen does cause her to look up. "Oh, I'm... well, trying to work out a ride," she says, making a tiny balance correction as she's standing there.

"I could call... um, friends," she says. "But they would be a little more judgmental than I feel like dealing with," Carol says. No one would say anything. But she'd feel like the team, or even just the staff if they were the only ones who knew, would be thinking about it the next day when they saw her. That was one of the worst parts about when she gave in to a night of drinking like this. The looks. Even if they were imagined.

The blue-eyed blond gives a little wave of her phone. "Don't normally use these services though," she says.

Colleen Wing has posed:
"How far do you live from here? We can certainly get you a ride. It's not that difficult to figure out. I say that like I use it all the time, which I do not." She offers the woman a half-smile and lets out a small breath. "I'm Colleen and I now feel responsible for making sure you get home safely. Thanks for that." She laughs and nods once. "Okay..let's start walking this way a bit, the night air will do you some good. Just take my arm here."

She offers her arm to the other woman and takes a small step. "So who are you tying to forget? I mean when I drink it is usually to try and forget something."

Carol Danvers has posed:
Unfortunately there don't seem to be any cabs around this part of town at least at the current moment. At the invitation from the Asian woman to walk, Carol considers only briefly before putting her phone back into her pocket.

"I live over in Manhattan," she says, giving some cross streets in a rather expensive area, at that. Heck, the Avenger's Mansion is right around there, and that was built by Howard Stark for his wife. Carol falls into step with Colleen, saying, "Carol. Thanks Colleen."

She's silent for a few moments after the question. "More the other way around. Drinking as much for what I've forgotten, as for what I'd like to forget," she says. She's managing to walk reasonably steady, with only little sways here and there. Probably not bad to have Colleen there, at that.

Colleen Wing has posed:
As they walk, Collen is very carful to match the other woman's step, making sure she is stable for Carol as she walks. "Ah Manhattan. Well that is a bit far away for us to walk. I live there too, but in Chinatown. Let me see what I can do to get us a ride. I've got a few connections in the area." She pulls out her phone with her free hand and begins to scroll through her contacts. "Let me see here. Ming maybe awake."

A few ringtones later and a voice can be heard on the other end. There is a small conversation in what sounds like Chinese (nothing to advanced) and she finally hangs up the phone. "I got us a ride. We just have to hang around Luke's. He can bring us back to Manhattan and where you live." She slowly turns their step and begins to walk them back in front of Luke's again. "Im' sorry you have had some rough times. You know if you ever need a non-judging ear...you can find me at Luke's from time to time."

In a few minutes a car speeds around the corner and pulls up. Another few words in Chinese and Colleen opens the backdoor and smikes. "Your carriage awaits...I'll sit in the back with you. Don't worry Ming is a great guy to know. Just don't ask what he does."

Carol Danvers has posed:
"Ah, Chinatown," the blond woman says. "Great people there. More friendly than the rest of the city," she says, turning and waving a vague hand meant to encompass New York as a whole.

When the car pulls up, Carol follows Colleen over. She puts a hand on the roof of the car to make sure she doesn't bump her head as she climbs inside. "Ming... real life-saver," she says when Colleen gives his name. She flashes a grateful smile at him and then settles into the seat.

Carol pulls her hat off and runs her fingers through her hair. "So going to take a cool shower," she says. "Been a hot summer. So Colleen, you go to Luke's a lot then? I've been there a few times. He keeps some good whiskey on the top shelf," she comments.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Ming head nods to the pair in the back and flashes a grin, speaking in perfect English with little to know accent. (Why did they speak in Chinese?). "Hey I got you. Any friend of Wings I got your back. Just sit back and enjo the ride. If you're gunna get sick, roll down the window. Just had her detailed." He winks and keeps on driving."

Colleen shrugs. "I go there often enough. It is a bit far..but Luke and I are friends and co-workers if you want to put it that way. I mean I don't work there. I just..I run a dojo in Chinatown. But, when I need a drink or something, I figure I will give him my money. Or he just gives it to me." She smiles and looks out the window, before turning back to Carol.

"A cool shower? You read my mind. Been way to hot this summer. I was going to take one before I came out, but I figured..just do it when I get back and before I sleep, you know?" She rolls the window further down. "So where are we taking you? At some point he is going to ask."

Ming shakes his head and calls out. "Or I can just driv around until you shout *Stop! Right there!"

Colleen rolls her eyes and smiles. "Don't mind him. He's really a nice guy. I mean who else would come out this late to drive us back to Manhattan."

"Oh yeah I am a realy friggin' Saint Wing. Ral friggin Saint."

Carol Danvers has posed:
The sound of Carol snoring softly comes from the seat beside Colleen. Her head is lolled back on the back of the seat, her hat resting in her lap.

No good deed shall go unpunished.
