Date of Scene: 05 August 2022
Location: Delores Klein's Rooftop Gardens
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Delores Klein, Singularity

Delores Klein has posed:
Atop one of the numerous residential buildings in New York City is one of several with a garden on top. Higher winds atop buildings necessitate greenhouses for some plants, and so it is that there are six climate controlled domes connected by supported awnings that connect to form a pseudo-hallway. There's plenty of room up there for someone to walk around outside of the gardens, and there's even a little seating area for a party of one to relax in.
Currently humming a tune to herself, Delores Klein stands in the middle of one of the dome greenhouses. With a pair of hand sheers, she carefully cuts small clippings from a variety of exotic plants. It seems as though no two plants are the same. When she clips something, she lets it fall into a tiny, square, glass jar and plugs it with a stopper. She then moves on to the next one, repeating the process.

Singularity has posed:
Standing as she is in what is effectively a big glass dome, it's not hard for Delores to catch a sparkle of blue out of the corner of her eye. Of course, it might be mistaken for the night sky, but then it moves again, farther into her field of view, out on the roof.

Followed by a blue girl made of stars pressing her face up against the dome as she peers in, using her hands on either side to shade her face a bit so she can see better. Spotting Delores, she waves cheerfully as she floats about a foot off the roof outside the dome.

Delores Klein has posed:
Delores stops and her smile changes from one of enjoying her work to one of curiosity. She raises a hand and waves before putting her sheers and bottle down onto the hand cart she's working off of. Taking off her gloves, she tosses them down and walks to the door, moving outside and looking out into the rain. "Hello!" she calls out, cheerfully. "I trust I'm not being visited by the night sky, am I?"

Singularity has posed:
The girl considers that. "No?" she offers after a moment, smiling. "I am. Singularity. Hello!" She gestures to the domes. "I noticed. Your gardens. Very pretty. I hadn't seen. Domes like this before." Her way of speaking is odd; like she's having to pause every so often to figure out how to put her thoughts into a vocalization. "I didn't mean. To disturb you?"

Delores Klein has posed:
The corporeal woman's smile broadens. "Not at all!" she says. "I'm Delores! I love learning new things, and you're definitely something new!" She stuffs her hands into the pouch of her gardening apron. "So, black hole or infinite computing power?"

Singularity has posed:
Singularity blinks at her, cocking her head, then seems to catch what she means as she lets out a soft laugh. You'd say her eyes twinkle perhaps, but they glow normally so it's hard to really tell. "Universe." she says, then holds her thumb and forefinger together. "Very small." Up close, she's a bit different in look. Her whole body is blue with that sort of starry sky effect inside her skin, but the amount of detail varies. For example, while she's undeniably feminine in appearance, she lacks details that not wearing clothes might require a comics code censor bar. Her feet are more the suggestion of a foot with no distinct toes, while her hands are more regular, even with fingernails. Her hair also seems a mix of very detailed in its curly mass, but doesn't seem to precisely grow from her head at its base, more just...sprouts. Though her movement suggests that despite looks, her hair is distinct from the rest of her head when she moves, as normal.

Delores Klein has posed:
"How interesting!" Delores says, looking over the other being. "I never imagined something like you existing. Maybe I should have!" she postulates, raising her eyebrows. "With all the crazy things in the papers, something as wonderful as you must exist somewhere!" She furrows her brows, now, her smile fading slightly. "Leaving only the question of why you're in the shape of a naked human female, more or less."

Singularity has posed:
"I am. Singular. Here." Singularity notes agreeably. She blinks, looking down at herself, then back up at Delores. "Females. Are pretty? I like females. Heroines. Very impressive. Want to be like them." she says as she clasps her hands behind her back, drifting down to touch down on the roof. Apparently she is also coporeal, despite her appearance.

Delores Klein has posed:
Delores peeks down at the moment of contact, watching apparent weight settle, but the roof not collapse. She quickly returns eye contact. "I tend to agree with you," she says. She looks over the starry night sky within Singularity before pulling her hands from her apron and wiping them on it. She holds her right hand out. "It's a pleasure to meet you," she says. Science, even weird science, involves experimentation. Do or die time, now.

Singularity has posed:
Singularity beams and takes it. Her skin feels normal. Warm to the touch, the same feeling of flexible skin and muscle at least. "Pleased to. Meet you. Too!" she says cheerfully. "Are you. A gardener?" she wonders.

Delores Klein has posed:
That smile of curiosity comes back on Delores's face. "You're a bundle of questions!" she says. "I scarcely know where to begin!"

Singularity has posed:
"At the start." Singularity suggests, seriously. "And yes! Many questions. I want. To learn." she says, bouncing on her toes. Such as they are. Really, up close, it's almost like she's modeled more on a young woman wearing spandex, honestly.

Delores Klein has posed:
Delores considers her again and tucks her hands back into her apron. "Well, then, Singularity," she says. "What questions do you have for this rooftop gardener?"

Singularity has posed:
Singularity thinks, pursing her lips. "What type of plants. Do you like. To grow? To eat? Because. They're pretty? Other reasons?" she wonders. "I am new. To eating. So. I don't know. What's good. To eat."

Delores Klein has posed:
Delores nods with that friendly smile overriding the others. "See, now, that's interesting," she says. "I wouldn't have thought you'd need to be picky." She shrugs, her shoulders nearly reaching her jaw as her grin broadens. "But I guess you're new to anything the first time you do it!" She holds up a finger. "Wait here." She walks back into the greenhouse she was working in and begins pushing out the hand cart. The top has those small bottles that would be cubes if not for the necks extending bluntly from the tops of them and capped with stoppers. There's a white cloth draped over the whole thing that makes it look like a room service trolly, but also effectively hides what's underneath. "Would you mind if I take your picture?" Delores asks. "Then I'll do my best to answer your questions."

Singularity has posed:
The blue girl obediently waits patiently as asked, though she does crane her neck to watch what Delores is doing until she returns. She smiles easily at the question. "I would not mind." she says simply. "People like taking. My picture. For some reason." There's a bit of good humor in her tone at the last.

Delores Klein has posed:
"I bet they do!" Delores says. She draws the cloth up slightly, though darkness is still dominating what's down there. There's a flash of light, and Delores drops the cloth. "My favorite plants to grow are fruits," she says. "Sweet and sugary treats." She looks around the rooftop greenhouses. "These are dedicated to plants with special properties, though," she admits. "Not many are good to eat on their own."

Singularity has posed:
Singularity blinks slightly at the flash, but perks. "I like treats!" she insists. "Properties?" she adds after a moment of thought. "For what?" She seems content to let Delores explain at her own pace.

Delores Klein has posed:
"I have an herbal remedy store," Delores says. "It's called Klein's Bottles. All natural ingredients, grown by me." That's not served by this rooftop garden, but whatever.

Singularity has posed:
Furrowed brows. "Herbal remedy." Singularity repeats slowly. "For...medicine? Fixing things?" she offers to make sure she's understanding correctly.

Delores Klein has posed:
"You do catch on quickly, don't you," Delores says, still cheerful. "Do you get sick?" she asks. "Is there anything you can't eat because it's poison?" Oh, Delores! Such pointed questions!

Singularity has posed:
That brings a more thoughtful look. "I don't think so." Sing admits. "I don't digest. Like you do. More..." She frowns a bit in thought, then makes a sort of 'poof!' gesture with her hands. "Matter. To energy."

Delores Klein has posed:
"A useful ability," Delores speculates aloud. She looks over the tiny bottles. "Well, I don't have anything here I want to share for those purposes," she admits. She looks back at Singularity. "Tell you what, why don't you visit my shop when you get the chance." She produces a card in her hand without going for a pocket, though it's probably something that was grabbed when her hands were stuffed in her apron. "There's some aromatherapy stuff in there that's just wild!"

Singularity has posed:
"Aromatherapy..." There's another cute wrinkle of the brow as Singularity carefully repeats the word, then takes the card offered, smiling. "Yes. I can find you. Again." The card seems to fall inside her palm, disappearing. She pauses. "I do not have. A card to give." she says, frowning at that.

Delores Klein has posed:
"Oh, that's alright," Delores says, waving off the comment. "My work keeps me pretty busy." She stuffs her hands back in her pockets. She hesitates as her big smile widens, her dimples growing in her cheeks. "Well," she says. "It was nice meeting you!"

Singularity has posed:
Singularity beams. "Yes! It is very nice. To meet you. Delores." she says cheerfully. "I will let you. Go back to caring. For the plants. But I will stop. At your shop. To say hello again." she promises seriously.

Delores Klein has posed:
"If I'm not there, tell Rachel I sent you!" Delores says, pulling a hand from her big pocket to wave at the astronomical curiosity. "Or Samantha! Or whoever's on duty when you show up!"

Singularity has posed:
"I will!" Singularity promises, floating up into the sky again, then soaring off down the block and out of sight.
