Cast of Characters: Padraigh O'Malley, Gabby Kinney

Padraigh O'Malley has posed:
Padraigh O'Malley finally used his key to get to the JLD hangout. His eyes take in the room as he meanders around looking at this and that. "Aye Aiden Oi agree lad someone here be likin' a lot o' blue." He continues to stroll through the room twirling his lighter in hand reaching into his duster inside pocket pulling out a smoke he then looks for any inclination that smoking isn't allowed here.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
There's nothing to say smoking isn't allowed at least. If anything, should he look to the bar and then back again there would suddenly be an ash tray which didn't appear there before. The Velvet Room provides for it's guests.

The room itself was rather empty it would seem. Nothing odd or out of the ordinary... Or perhaps there was. Once the necromancer glances over to the couches he would see what appears to be a small tabletop shrine, Japanese style, laid out. The sort one might have in a home to give offerings to ancestors. There's a bowl of incense there which was currently unlit, a chocolate orange still in wrapper, an actual orange, and a small childs' fidget toy popper thing that was so popular these days.

It's all set up on the table next to the corner of one couch where an old kimono dressed doll sits. Whose head rotates to stare at Padraigh before lifting a tiny doll hand to wave or... something. The ghost is haunted, clearly, and his senses may be able to see the young spirit of a six year old little girl therein.

Gabby comes out from the door leading to the library into the room stifling a yawn. Spotting Padraigh she grins, "Oh, hey Paddy! Welcome to the Velvet Room."

Padraigh O'Malley has posed:
Padraigh O'Malley stares at that doll and smiles waving back. "Hey there kiddo how're ye'?" He asks of the ghostly girl walking to where the bar is and sits down pouring a drink and sparking his lucky strike. He takes a long drag off that cigarette inhaling and exhaling taking a swig. "Hey Gabby how're you dahlin'?" He asks with a thoughtful expression. "Ghosts in here too huh?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney glances over to the doll with a faint grin as he'd clearly spotted her. The doll herself responds simply with a girlish, "Hallo." It was heavily accented but she was learning! Apparently. Then the ghostly girl's attention turns back to that toy popping and popping and popping...

Gabby grins a bit as she moves to the bar to hop up onto one of the stools nearby. "Yeah, that's Hanako-chan. I got her off of Ebay listing a 'haunted doll' for sale. Turns out it was legit." A glance is cast back toward her before she further explains, "She was very angry when I first got her, but since we figured out how to take care of her she's calmed down a lot. We figured out she was a little girl who died in a snowstorm and her parents made the doll to commemorate her. Using her hair," she adds with a shrug.

"How're you doing so far? I know this place is kind of a lot to take in."

Padraigh O'Malley has posed:
Padraigh O'Malley chuckles taking another long drag and then a drink. "Well hi there, such a sweet girl like ye' are ye' wantin' help crossin' over or are ye' wantin' ta be stayin' here lass?" He asks with a bright smile than he turns back to Gabby. "Oi tha's tragic tha' is, it breaks me heart. It wasnae Arawn who took ye' was it? Do Oi needa be havin' a conversation with me da?"

Another drag and a long drink flicking the ash. "Ah where are me manners, ye' want a drink Gabby? Oim doin alrigh' nothin oi can be complainin abou'." He shrugs. "Aye it be a lot, and so much feckin' blue." He laughs.

Gabby Kinney has posed:
"No!" The answer from Hanako is immediate, and grumpy as she smacks her toy down to her lap again with a pout. Much as a doll can pout. SOMEHOW she manages it having full control of the doll made of and for her. "Hanko-chan just get here. Want to play more."

Gabby grins wryly while lowering her voice to respond to Paddy, "We've asked before. I think she needs a bit more time. I get that, you know? She was locked in an attic for years alone." Glancing over again she offers, "Icecream tomorrow, okay Hanako?" This seems to cheer the ghostly girl up quite a bit.

"Oh, no I'm good on drinks," Gabby starts to reply. Only to pause, tilting her head to the side. "Unless there's some rootbeer back there. I can drink alcohol but it doesn't do anything for me." Not getting too off topic she adds, "I'm not sure who would have helped her out once she died, but she's from Japan. Figure the doll is about eighty to a hundred years old from what we could figure out. Maybe older. It's been awhile."

Padraigh O'Malley has posed:
Padraigh O'Malley chuckles and raises his hands to Hanako. "My apologies Hanako-Chan I was tryin' ta help is all. Can I get ye' anythin' else to play with? More dolls, colorin' books and crayons or markers?" He asks and oddly enough he fishes out a bottle of root beer. "Well alcohol don't do much fer me either I just loike the taste ye' know?" he asks Gabby smiling between her and the doll. "Well if it was in Japan than likely it wasnae me father. Hanako-Chan can people be seein ye often?"

Gabby Kinney has posed:
More toys? The idea of that seems to really cheer her up earning a quick nod of agreement. In true childish fashion she doesn't pick just one out of the things listed but declares, "All! More good!" with glee. She was a kid after all. As far as being seen she looks at Paddy with a little shake of her head. "Only two, three? Maybe."

"Yeah, I never had toys growing up so I have no idea what to get her. I try to bring something at least a couple times a week though. Plus snacks," she adds gesturing to the little shrine. "Seems like if you offer them while burning incense she's able to interact with them better. Can even 'eat' ... Much as a ghost can I guess." All she can do is shrug over it really. Reaching out she takes the offered bottle of rootbeer. "Thanks. Yeah, I never got into alcohol. I will drink at times, but I still like sugary stuff." A little sheepishly she adds, "I can't see Hanako either. I can hear her, I can see the doll move, but that's it. I'm glad I was able to help her even a little bit though Being alone sucks."

Padraigh O'Malley has posed:
Padraigh O'Malley chuckles and nods his head. "All it is I'll bring you all kinds of fun stuff to play with and eat." He says with a smile. "Don't you worry you'll have the best of things." His gaze falls upon Gabby again. "Aye so give her her snacks with incense lit understood. I'm not a sugary sweet stuff person The booze and smoking I enjoy though that's perhaps flavor for booze and habit fer smokin'." He sighs leaning back. "Yer right and most can't see her, though they may hear her lass. And you be'er believe tha' I know it sucks ta be alone."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney nods in complete understanding as well. "Same. I had a lot of sisters, but most are gone now. It's a hell of a feeling." She holds onto the bottle of rootbeer as if it were a bottle of beer instead of the sugary concoction. There's a momentary far away look in her eyes at the recollection of her sisters that she shakes off quickly.

"But I've still got a lot of people here with me now, too. And I try to help out where I can. Sometimes being a good guy isn't just about fighting, and all."

Padraigh O'Malley has posed:
Padraigh O'Malley takes a drag inhale exhale takes a sip. "I had no siblin's, jus' me Mum, I didnae even meet me da until I was like six er somethin'." He says chuckling leaning back running his fingers through his hair.

"Hence why oive been a Lone Wolf all me life. Now Oi be here with ye' lo' it's takin' me some ge'in' used to lass."

Gabby Kinney has posed:
Gabby Kinney reaches out to lightly sock Paddy in the arm in a friendly manner. "We'll get you used to it, don't worry!" She assures with a broad grin. "Takes awhile to find people you can fit in with, I know, but I'm sure you'll do fine here. And if you don't get along with everyone, that's okay too. Not everyone can get along after all."

Tipping back her drink she takes a gulp before adding, "For now I need to get a group together to sweep through this place and make sure there's no nasties left over from the last few guys we were dealing with. They're gone, but I'd rather make sure there's no surprises left over."
