Heartbreak and Hamburgers

Synopsis:	Irie meets Bart at the Big Belly Burger, and finds out that Bard has had his heart broken. She tries to cheer him up, and they end up going to the zoo to pet cheetahs.

Irie West has posed:
    Where do you go when you have the late night munchies and nothing in the kitchen looks good? Big Belly Burger! Irie spent most of the day here in Happy Harbor getting caught up in her classes. It was... weird to be there when she looks so much older and mature than her classmates, and she certainly got a lot of odd looks, but she bore them with aplomb. (Except for that one time she stuck her tongue out at somebody.)

    The nice thing about coming in at this time of night is that there's no line, so she can go right up to the counter and order as much as she like, much to the dismay of the workers. Now armed with a couple of kids meals, a strawberry shake, and a pile of cheeseburgers, she finds herself a booth to eat at.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen had decided to come grab some food. He did not expect his cousin to be here, in fact he may have been trying to go somewhere not many knew him, but staff does as he went to school here to. He comes walking in and looks about, the normal smile not there more a blank face, but as he sees Irie, he will bring up a smile, though it maybe at least partially fake.

Irie West has posed:
    Irie looks up from her second burger to see Bart coming in. "Hey, cuz!" she all but shouts, waving her hand at him to get his attention. "Come and sit with me." When he gets closer she can see his forced smile. "Is everything okay? I can give you my kids meal toy."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will make a large order, and then comes over to slide into the seat opposite of her. He shakes his head and says "No, not really." He looks to her, and says "Emiko, and I are breaking up." He just seems to droop some as he says it out loud.

Irie West has posed:
    "Oh no!" Irie says with a gasp. "What happened? Are you okay? Anything I can do to cheer you up? We can race if you like. I'd break the 'no speedforce' rule for you. You should get the apple pie. No. THREE! Three apple pies will help cheer you up!" She rubs her chin thoughtfully, "I think you're supposed to go and drink your sorrows away when this happens, but we're not old enough to drink, well I guess /I/ am technically, but even if we /could/ drink our metabolism would make quick work of the alcohol, so that's off the table. Maybe grab a couple of milkshakes instead."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and says "She has to go undercover in her mother's group." He tells her quietly "No one else can know that part." He sighs a bit and says "And I don't want you breaking the no speedforce rule, you don't need to put yourself in danger for me. I need to talk to Damian, see if he can take over as the main face for the Animal preserve we have. You wouldn't want two cats would you? I love them but think they could use more attention.

Irie West has posed:
    Irie's eyes grow wide. "Cats! I'd love to have cats, but I still live in the tower and I don't know what the policy is on pets." She shakes her head. "I mean my room is pretty small and we could let them run around the tower, but then there's the chance that Vic's roombas will try to suck them up."

    She narrows her eyes, "Unless you're talking about big cats. Like a tiger." She gasps at a thought, "Or a /cheetah/! Please tell me these are a pair of cheetahs!"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen chuckles a bit at this and does smile a bit "No Huginn and Muninn." He will bring up his phone and shows her a picture of two cats, about 6 months old, both are black and have one eye, one has his right and the other his left. I am moving back into the Curio, which is in Gotham now, probably be ok there, black cats in a magic heavy area.

Irie West has posed:
    Irie leans over to take a look at the picture and a "D'awwww!" escapes her. She looks up and quirks an eyebrow, "You /do/ know that Huginn and Muninn were both ravens, right? Anyway. They're adorable. I'd love to have 'em." She purses her lips together for a moment, "Let me check in with Donna and see what she says."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods, and says "We went with the names, cause of the one eye each sorta like Odin." He explains to her. "If your wanting to pet some cheetahs, we can hit the zoo one night, they are about a year old now, but they like me, and we raised them since birth at the zoo.

Irie West has posed:
    "YES!" Irie all but shouts. She looks a bit embarrassed and lowers her voice to a more normal volume. "I mean... yes. I would like to pet the cheetahs please. I hope they like me, too."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods, and says "We can head over after we eat, I aint on the clock tonight, but I know the schedule so I know when non are about. Might draft you into helping with the preserve as well, eventually the plan was for it to have some exotic animals as well, sorta like the shark hybrids we have at the base.

Irie West has posed:
    Irie tries very hard to hold in her squee at the prospect of helping out with the preserve. "I'd /love/ to do that," she says. "And, yeah. I'm not doing anything tonight so you can show me the cheetahs. Do you have the impulseshaw handy?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to her, and says "Thats a silly question, you know how far away it would have to be not to be handy." He reminds her. He does munch a bit of food as they talk.

Irie West has posed:
    "Cool," Irie says as she continues to chow down on her food, quickly whittling it down to nothing in only a manner of moments. "Aahhh," she says, full... for now. She gets up and starts cleaning her mess and says, "So other than Emiko, how's life treating you, cuz?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen says, "Well other than that ok, classes are pretty good, they are letting me do more with the animals at the zoo. I have been working on my whole stealing and loaning speed your dad taught me.""

Irie West has posed:
    Irie perks up. "Ooh! When are we going to try that out? I wanna go fast again. I miss my /speed/."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and says "Well since your dad has had to handle some things, it will just have to be me, and I want to get it down a bit more, I don't want to screw ya up worse.

Irie West has posed:
    Irie nods, sitting back down. "Understandable. Being 35 is... eugh. There's all that... /maturity/ going on, you know? I mean, I'm sure if I reach it naturally it wouldn't bother me so much, but since when do we ever do things naturally?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen chuckles a bit and says "Well, I do believe naturally maybe a totally different thing for us than most people, but I know what ya mean."

Irie West has posed:
    Irie grins, and waits for Bart to finish his food before going, "Cheetahs now? Let's go grab the Impulseshaw and head on out." She stands up and starts heading to the door, "Last one there is a princess!"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen finish his food, and heads out by the time she is outside, he has the shaw ready for her, and the two of them are off to Gotham Zoo, where Bart spends a few hours showing his baby adult cousin the animals, and for a bit looses himself in getting to show off all the animals.
